aThe rain continued to drench the sidewalk, the streets and the buildings as Ophelia walked. The comforting pitter patter of the rain hit her large umbrella square on. The rain drops then dropped to the ground. Since the umbrella was large and Ophelia very small she was comfortably dry. Still, there were quite a few women running about with newspapers on their heads trying to keep their awful hair dry while they searched for someplace they could keep dry.
“What are you, five?” Ophelia said coldly as she continued to walk, ignoring the crazy-confused woman who was keeping pace with her. “Of course it’s scary out here. But you shouldn’t act like a wimp. You’ll just bring out people and creatures smelling your fear!” she said. She knew without a doubt that demons existed. If demons existed then angels had to exist to counterbalance. Ophelia always thought vampires and werewolves were real. If demons were real, then so were vampires. She would need to ask Ezra or
“Damn it. Fine. You can come home with me. But only to the house!” she said. It wasn’t her home; it was a place she was renting. Ophelia wanted to go home to her home – a large estate but she had basically stolen from this girl – one of her personalities. If the girl saw her home she would know that Ophelia stole a lot. So it was the safe house Ophelia rented in the city when she needed to lay low. The lease was about to expire soon and Ophelia wouldn’t renew it, the landlord was angry when Ophelia changed the locks and very nosey.
“Damn it. Of all things!” she muttered to herself as she exited the park and walked down the street. She was not going to offer to share her umbrella! “What’s wrong with you, anyways?” the thief asked. If this girl wasn’t crazy and didn’t have different personalities she was the best actor Ophelia had ever seen!
