Kali shoved open a heavy door, the stable reveiling itself. Each of the fifty horses, expecially the largest black horse looked in her direction. "Im home." Kali said with the biggest smile. Each horse whinnied and neighed, happy to have her back to care for them. "Shhhh! Dont wake Ma-... Boss." Kali nearly slipped up. Her eyes turned to look at Dom, and the horses did the same. "THis is Dom. He's a friend of mine." She smiled gently as Blake, the stallion let his ears lay back against his head. Her converse squeaked on the spotless floor as she moved to his stall and kissed his soft velvet muscle. "I apologize for Blake. He doesnt like strangers too much... He's my main man and he protects me. You two might have a problem." The stallion made a low noise and backed away from the door when Dom was beside her. With a sigh Kali turned and went down a narrow hall.
The open door to the tack room let in smooth leather smells, and the next door was a small room. There was a soft twin matress, a dresser, and a desk there but nothing more. "Its not much..." Kali said softly. The room looked untouched. "I dont sleep here much, i usually sleep in Blake's stall. But, you are very much welcome to this room." Kali smiled gently. "I can get you some things to make it less.... bland... if you wish. Just tell me if you need anything... I've got work." Kali then left him to roam his new room as she started grooming one of the fifty horses.

Dominick followed obediently behind Kali to the place where he could call his home for a few days. He was expecting the stables and was open to anything he may see. He followed in the depths of the stable, the murmur of the horses haunting around them. As she introduced him, he felt as if all their eyes were glued to him which he found as a strange sensation. He kept his composure and continued behind her lead as she slowly approaching one of the largest horses, if not the largest in one of the stalls. He glimpsed at the creature and took in his beauty, standing proud and tall, head held high in admiration of the woman standing nearby. As Dom approached for a greeting he saw the horse back up, not accepting the greeting and Kali explained that there would a bit of a problem between the two of them. Dom gave a nod of recognition to the horse, snorting at him in an aggressive manner which sent Dom to follow Kali to another section of the stable.
Dom followed the winding turns of the stables, finally stopping behind Kali as she introduced to him where he would be staying. He looked around and sunk it all in. Sure, it wasn’t the home he had lived in after building a foundation for him and his wife when life was good, but, it was better than sleeping out on the street that night. It was a comfortable little room and he accepted it graciously. “Thank you very much,” he thanked, as she turned off in remarks of having to complete work. He looked around the room, the covers on the cot having dust build up on them, cob webs filled the corners and it looked like not to have been used in quite a few weeks if not months. But he felt comfortable, and he was more than happy to be spending some prolonged time with Kali. He wasn’t sure how long that was going to last and after a few moments of investigating the room he flicked off the light and went in pursuit to follow her.
One of the stall gates was open and he quickly approached, looking inside to see her in there working on one of the horses. “I’m willing to work, for my rent,” he said, walking into the stall and inspecting her process. “Put me to work hun.”

Kali made quick work of grooming the horses. It was routine, and she knew how, and what bushes to use on particualr horses to get the job done quick, and well. Each horse she groomed commuicated with her and she would reply in a soft foregin language. The horses were happy to have Kali back and wanted to hear her story. They were quite curious about Dominick too. "Well he's sweet to me, ill give him that. But how would it work...? I am bound to this place until master gets rid of me. I have no money because i dont get paid.." Were the soft words she spoke. Of course, it was in the horses language and Dom wouldnt understand what she was saying if he happened to be listening in.
He did round the corner eventually and stepped into the roomy stall occupied by Kali, and the chesnut mare she was grooming. "You dont have to work. All you have to do is.... well you have to hide from my Ma-" Kali sighed. "Boss. He wont like it that i brought you here, but if you show yourself worthy enough im sure he will pay you." She bent over, brushing the underside of the small mare. "But i guess you could help me groom Baby." She geatured to the horse who was craning her neck toward him and sniffing at his chest to become familiar with him. "Here." Kali took his hand and brought him over to the mares side. She slipped a brush into his hand. "Brush her in the direction that her coat goes, and dont be afraid to apply a little pressure. Shes ticklish on her hindquarters." Kali patted the horses rump and turned to smile brilliant ly at Dom. "I'll be right back, im going to gather grain buckets." She then left to go to the feed room

He nodded to hear that he had to hide from this…boss that she seemed to be extremely frightened of. “I promise I’ll make him love me,” he commented as she proceeded on with grooming the chestnut horse standing close to her. He nodded to hear that he could help her out with grooming the horse and he was more than willing to give her a hand. He gave a surprised look to see the head of the horse coming in his direction and giving him a gentle sniff. He gave a slight laugh before giving a small greeting, “Hello to you too.”
He gave a look of relief as Kali grabbed his hand to come to the horse’s side and naturally curled his fingers around the brush that she gave him. He was lost in her smile as she informed him about the horse being slightly ticklish and exited the stall leaving the two horses alone. It was slightly awkward as he applied the first brush stroke. The mare snorted gently and swatted her tail at him. “I’m new at this…okay?” The horse seemed to roll her eyes, wishing that Kali would hurry up as to get a professional on the job.
Dom couldn’t help but to wonder why she was here. What made her pick wanting to work…here of all places? It seemed as if she had a love for horses and Dom assumed that was a good of a reason as any. He couldn’t help but to be falling for her the more he spoke with her. Seeing her for what she really was and not a lifeless doll in a hospital bed made him happy and quite overjoyed.
He slowly worked at the coat, making sure to follow the instructions Kali had given him. He worked diligently at Baby’s coat, brushing thoroughly and making sure not to tickle her at all. “Baby…I don’t know if you noticed but I like your girl Kali a lot.” He didn’t feel silly talking to the horse, considering her used to talk to his pets all the time when he actually had them. The horse gave him an agitated look. “What…it’s true,” he defended, quieting down slightly as he heard footsteps approaching, hoping it was Kali. “I hope you don’t get mad Baby…but I might put some moves on her in the stall…whatcha think?”

Kali heard Baby snort and the swish of her mane shaking. Instantly, her mind began to read Baby's and She blushed deeply, stopping before coming around the corner. "Put the moves on me...?" She mouthed silently to herself. None the less Kali came around with a wheelbarrow that held a huge bag of feed in it. Her violet eyes peered into the warmly lit stall and smiled. "I see you're getting on fine with Baby.." Kali let her eyes flick to the horses' knowingly and Baby swayed her head, laughing hysterically in her own silent horsie way. Kali giggled. "She finds you... funny." Kali grinned and snatched up the feed bowl before he could ask how she knew that. She disappeared once more, going down the isle, collecting each bowl. Once she had fifty in all she haulled them back over to the wheel barrow.
Kali bent over, putting the bowls down and started to tear at the bag. Eventually the bag tore and she dipped one bowl after another into the bag until it was full. When the bowls were full she returned them and came back to the stall. "Done yet? You still gotta comb out her man and tail." Kali grinned, picking up a finer looking brush and began to work it through the knots gently until it was almost silky. Even though horse hair was natually coarse Kali was able to make it soft and Baby here enjoyed the soft feeling. "Theres a lot more work i'll have to have you do when we get our feed shipment.... thier too heavy for me." Kali lied. She could probably lift Dom up with no problem, but she didnt need to know that.

When he saw Kali came back around with a wheelbarrow and he nodded in agreement to hear that he and the horse were getting along good. He was glad and wasn’t really sure if it had happened like that and he was even more overjoyed to hear that Kali revealed the horse found him funny. He was interested to how she knew of course, but he assumed that she was around the horses long enough to know, even if he found it strange for the horses to have actual thoughts.
After a few minutes of her absence, and the movement of the food balls outside in the aisle Kali returned to ask how he was doing. When she noted that he had to work on the mane and the tall also he acted in an exhausted fashion. “Man…too much work for me. I don’t know how you do it all. Where are your co-workers,” he asked, slowly coming around to the side where Kali was working on.
When she mentioned that he had a lot more work on store he was ready for it. “I’m looking forward to it,” he noted, moving even closer to her this time, his body slowly rubbing up against her, front muscles gently gracing her front. He placed his hand on the side of her face and allowed his lips to slowly move close and brush hers.

"Im the only one that works here. And dont worry, you get used to it. A muscly man such as yourself shouldnt even be dazed by this work. As for me, well imagine working day and night with about two hours of sleep. Its great." Kali sighed and smiled. "I enjoy this though. I know ther horses well and thiet all my friends. I love thier company." She said softly, working slowly now that she had began to think. "My boss finds that i do all the work efficently and correctly, so there is not more need for anyone else. Hw wont waste money." 'he wont even pay me' she thought it herself on the end. Kali didnt think of it when Dom came around to her side.
She found her eyes staring into his as thier chests brushed. Her face grew red instantly, her heart studdering. His warm hand touched her icy cheek, making her blink in wonder. Kali had never been kissed, Nor had she ever been liked. 665 years of loneliness and she had got along just fine. While thinking of this her eyes widened at the feeling of his lips on her own. Blake, down a few stalls on the other side of the isle threw a fit. A pericing neigh was sharp in her ears and the clattering of his hooves was heard. After staring at Dom for a long moment, she hurried away to calm the thrashing stallion.

Their lips finally touched and he wanted nothing more for it to last. His eyes had been shut and he felt her heat press against his as he had made the move. The horse a few stalls away immediately burst out in anger and she pulled away to only stare into his eyes. Her violet eyes sent shivers down his spine and he held them as long as he possibly could before she darted out of the stall and sprinted toward the whining horse. He let her go tend to the horse and the mare, Baby, gave him a gentle nudge with her nose. He gently patted her down her neck, “I have a feeling that one horse doesn’t like me much,” he whispered into her ear and slowly exited the stall, making sure to close the gate behind him.
He followed her down the aisle and kept his distance away from the horse who seemed to have calmed down a tad with Kali’s touch. Her mere whispers and touch were able to calm him down and he watched with great interest and wonder at her work. The horse’s eyes told a story, showing his expressive anger and hatred toward him. “I don’t think anything I say will help with this,” he noted to Kali, giving her a seductive stare when she looked his direction.
As the horse was beginning to calm down he almost approached Kali in attempt to take her to the side and continue what he had started but he heard another set of footsteps coming and he immediately thought of them to be Kali’s boss who she told him to hide from. He made eye contact with Kali, whose eyes told him to hide and he quickly obeyed them. Dom was interested however in this so called boss but was obedient and quickly darted back to Baby’s stall and shut the door, hiding close to the door. “Hide me Baby girl?” She looked down at him in a stupid fashion as he was hiding in the stall and she moved forward, putting her head out on top of the stall door as the boss came in…interested to hear what had caused all the ruckus.

Kali watched as Dom darted away and her eyes looked to the tall man stiding down the isle. He was in his rode and pajamas since it was late at night. "KALI!" He yelled, waking the horses that had been sleeping. They all shifted unconfortably. "Whats going on out here!?" He yelled still. Kali's converse covered feet tapped as she ran to him, stopping infront, her eyes down. "Blake got spooked. Nightengale got caught in the rafter above his head. Its gone now." Her words were quick and to the point in a soft submissive tone. Her master towered over her, his body slightly chunky but strong. His hand reached out and grabbed her shirt and brought her closer. Kali nearly fell to the ground, but caught herself. "If that damn good for nothing horse wakes me again i'm getting rid of him!" He snapped. Kali's eyes instantly filled with tears as she tried to back away. "Not Blake! Please dont Master!" Her back talk earned her a smack across the face. Kali whimpered gently, as the crack echoed through the stable. "You dont talk back. Finnish cleaning this filthy stable by morning!!" He growled and threw her to the ground, taking his exit.
Kali sat there, sniffing. "You can come out now Dom..." she said softly. She got to her feet, going back to Blake who had himself pressed against the door to his stall. "Im fine Blake... Please try to control yourself.... he'll get rid of you..." The horse instantly became sad, and apologetic. She opened the door and stepped in, wrapping her arms around the horses neck. Blake brought her closer with his massive head, his eyes closing. Kali sobbed softly into his neck, wetting the sleek coat. She could only hope that Dom wasnt watching her.

He listened intently as the individual had plummeted into the stable and so vibrantly had shown his displeasure with waking up in the middle of the night. Oh poor him…having his life disrupted…he had no fucking clue what it was like to actually have his life disrupted. Dom sat next to Baby and found a hole through the stable that he was able to peak through to see the man and Kali in the center of the stable. Dominick almost literally puked when he saw him touch her so aggressively when he grabbed her shirt. His hate and anger rapidly increased and he heard the threat to get rid of her favorite horse…because of Dominick’s stupid mistake. In her response…the word stood out to him…and caught him off guard….
Master.
She was controlled by him? Owned by him? She was a piece of property to him and nothing more? Not in that society no…it wasn’t true…she just slipped up on her words right? When his hand made connection with her face, he nearly pulled himself up to jump the fence and beat the man’s face in. But Baby quickly snorted loudly in his face and kept him pinned in his placement sitting in the corner. The echo of the slap made his heart ache and his fist shook in anger and rage as Baby restrained him from doing anything. He watched desperately as she was tossed to the ground as if nothing but a ragdoll. Finally the demon was no longer in sight and Dom heard her voice again, bidding him to come out.
Baby let him up and quickly Dom jumped over the barricade and ran over to her, situated at Blake’s stall, wrapped in a bit of a hug that Dom knew he couldn’t intrude upon. He watched from afar her tears and he wanted nothing more than to go in there and murder the son of a bitch of a master right then and there. “I want to kill the son of a bitch. I want to get you out of here.” He dropped the words swiftly and fluently, meaning every little tiny syllable that was part of his words. “I mean it.”

Blake gave soft noises, trying to soothe the crying girl. Her raven black hair blended into his coat as if she could melt into his completely. The horse raised his head at Dom's words, seeming to really understand his words. Kali turned to face him, her eyes blood shot. "I dont want to leave Dom... I like it here... i love these horses..." Her voice cracked as tears plumeted down her soft cheeks. kali wiped them away and kissed Blake's forehead when he bent down to her. She then stepped out of the stall and closed the door behind her. Kali walked off to get the rake, shovel, and a different wheel barrow to muck out the stalls. "I still have more things to do...." she said softly, disappearing and then coming back. Her tourtured eyes looked at Dom. They seemed to say 'save me, but dont take me away from here.'
Kali started scooping out the droppings into the wheel barrow. Her being was quiet her eyes still pouring tears at the threat her master had made. "Dont worry about me Dom. Im stong." her tone didnt waver, but her tears betrayed her weakness. Kali moved through the stalls quickly, and then got rid of the wheel barrow and put away the tools. She moved over to Dom, her eyes looking up at him. Kali didnt know what to say, she was just frightened that her master would take away Blake. "Dont let him take Blake away from me... He's my best friend..." she pleaded in a soft time. "Promise me... Promise me you wont let him...

Dom watched as she tried to pull herself together. Her whole was these horses; she loved them, and loved each and every single one of them. Despite her own treatment she could never leave them due to this love, devotion and dedication. He followed closely behind her as she continued her work, showing that dedication and that strength. But then her next words cut him deeply, she pleaded him, never to let her take her Blake away…this horse had such an effect on her that Dom just didn’t understand yet. He looked up to the horse that looked down on him in a mocking fashion, but Dominick didn’t respond to it.
“He will never take him away…ever…okay, I make that promise to you,” he said, in a serious fashion. Dom knew love, he knew companionship, and he knew what it was like to lose it all. He would never let her lose it too. “I make that promise to you Kal…and I’m going to try and fix a few things…” Dom looked in the direction in which the man had left and took a step toward it…and despite Kali’s best wishes he exited the same door the man had left. Dom looked to see another house situated right next to the stable. It being decently late into the evening, most people would be hesitant knocking on a stranger’s door. But Dom wasn’t frightened at all…and instead was actually looking forward to it.
He quickly ran up a set of three steps and rang the door bell a numerous amount of times. The man came to the door with a look of extreme frustration and agitation on his face. He swung the door open and there Dom stood with a huge grin on his face. “Hi how are you doing tonight sir?” “I was SLEEPING! That’s what normal human beings do at this time at night yanno! What the hell do you want?” Dominick’s jaw clenched and he laughed, to think he didn’t let Kal sleep late at night. Instead she was expected to be cleaning out the stalls to make it absolutely perfect for HIM.
“I just had a few questions for you sir. Nothing big…now…could I come in?” The man looked flabbergasted. “NO you may not come in! I don’t even know who you are!” Dominick sighed, “My name is Dominick Cage, member of the Vice City police department and we need to discuss some sketchy behavior that we’ve heard from this location.” The man eyed Dominick up and down. “You’re a cop…dressed as…that?” “Undercover for the time being. Now please…I don’t know about you but I like to get my sleep in…would you be so kind as to let me in?” The man rolled his eyes and agreed, opening the door just enough for him to step inside comfortably.
Dom looked around briefly, for any hints, anything that he could work with to get this rolling the right way for him. “Any relatives in the house…Mr…” “Baker. Jason Baker and no. I live on my own…I run a tight horse breeding ship and I don’t need anyone meddling in it.” “So they just don’t live with you…?” “I have no family…they waste my time.” Dom inspected the house; it seemed truthful. There was nothing that triggered any family relationship anywhere. There were no pictures or anything at all which made him feel sorry for the guy…ha…not. “And how is that breeding going…lots of winning horses in the races?” “Oh yes quite successful….Mr…” “Cage…Dominick Cage…” “Mr. Cage…what does this have anything to do with anything?”
“I just wanted to get some insight on your Mr. Baker before I killed you.” The man looked with concern and question and cocked his head. “Excuse me?” “Mr. Baker I happen to know your servant…your slave…Kali and I’ve personally witnessed your behavior toward her. You deserve death for your sins.” “You’re not a cop?” “Man you’re a bright one…” Dom dove forward and tackled the man to the ground, sending vicious punches to the man’s scalp and almost nearly drawing blood. “Can you take it when someone else dishes out the beating? How about taking on someone your own size?”
Dom’s opponent let out a harsh grunt before running forward and slamming Dom in the gut, sending both large men toward the table in which Baker’s cigare had been sitting vacantly. It came crashing down to the floor and it spread like wild fire. The carpet burned profusely and the flames and smoke already were growing by the second…..

Kali reached for Dominicks hand, trying to stop him. "Dom... dont go... he not-" But he was already gone. She strode over to the door and watched, wishing that she could stop him, could prevent this beating. Her mind drifted off far, staring at the house until a rush of orange light. Her eyes strained to see what was happening when a crash came to her ears and flames licked at the window. "No..." She breathed. If the masters house burned down there would be no one to pay for the horses and keep the stable open. Her friends would be sold to random people. And Blake.... he would probably be slaughtered for being thought untrainable. Kali ran down the halls, getting an extinguisher and then made for the main house.
Her body streaked across the lawn, moving at a natural vampire speed. She hopped up , flipped up the steps and kicked in the door. The two were entangled in a fist fight as Kali was fighting her own tears. Instantly she went to work getting the fire out and then dropped the extinguisher to the side. The carpet, curtains and a few pictures were badly burned, but nothing serious. Kali reached over, her arms wrapping around Dominick and pulling him off easily. She pushed him out of the room and frowned at him sadly. "You nearly cost me all my friends..." she said in a pained tone. Kali then went to her master whom she helped into a chair. He then told her to leave. She trudged out into the front room and stared down, she didnt want to look at Dom.

It felt good to lay his hands on him, to make him feel pain and to make him pay. But one moment they were fighting and the next he was being pushed out of the room by Kali. Her worried voice over her friends called out to him and she quickly returned to her master, only to be sent out once again. Guilt was far more than what he felt at that moment. She came back into the room and his hand trembled…what now? What was he going to do? Call the cops…come in here and give her a beating? What?
Dom wasn’t afraid of him…only what he could do to Kali and Dominick stood strong, head held high as he slowly reached for his pocket for the gun that he had under his possession. Quickly as fast as he could he placed the necessary bullets in their alignment and took heavy breaths as he envisioned what he was going to do. He was ready, excited, stimulated by the idea and he was more than willing to enter that room at that moment and proceed to gun the man down and kill him. He took a step forward just as Kali entered the room toward the man who he had decently wounded.
[....weak I know lol]

Kali turned and looked a Dominick, shocked. A gun was in her hand and Kali froze. It was obvious that Dom was beyond reasoning and was phased completely into violence mode. Her eyes grew dark as she stood firm. "Dominick you better put that god damned thing away. If you kill him who will be here to pay for all these horses!? Huh?! Are you going to kill him and have all my friends sold to different people!? Are you willing to live that that burden!? To know that your crushed me!? CAN YOU?!" her voice was louder than she thought she could ever get, her eyes ferice. Kali didnt bother noticing as she growled deeply, something she had never done. The vampire was begining to show itself. Her hand reached out and flicked on the saftey while taking in from him in the same time. "GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!" She screamed at him. her eyes filled with tears.
Kali tucked the gun into her bra for the moment as she turned to her Master, whispering in his ear. His eyes widened and then he nodded. "Thank you Master." She grumbled, and then turned, grabbing the front of Doms shirt and dragging him out of the house. Kali pushed him out into the yard and brought the gun back out, emptying it and throwning the gun at him. "Touch him again and i swear you will never see the light of day. Get the hell out of here." She said darkly and turned to stomp off into the stables, where she rushed to blake's side, her hand full of bullets.
