He knew what that felt like. He had form after form to fill out to get subway passes and such like. And being homeless didn’t mean you were allowed to live anywhere. Many times he was picked up by the police, made to fill out forms. Math was fun when you’ve never done it before. Or have any training. But he did his best. Smiling a little at the thought of this man having to do three hundred years worth of math, he couldn’t help but agree with him.
“How strange, how we all start out like that at one point. Well, most of us anyway. How did you turn? Three hundred, I’m guessing there were more of us then? There are so few now, I feel lucky to just meet one of them.” He had been noting an influx though. There did seem to be more coming in. He knew that when he first got here there weren’t any. Trends maybe?

Brock shrugged his shoulders and thought. "Well, our numbers have been up and down through the years. Right now, it's on a gradual rise, and I'm happy with it." He took another moment to think, then spoke again. "I'm not sure what you mean though when you ask how I turned. I mean, I was born a werewolf, but there's a number of things that'll make me shift to my wolf form."
One of those things was anger. If his anger got beyond a certain point, he'd shift and his beast would be in complete control. Whoever or whatever got in his way would be in grave danger, save for other werewolves. Brock's wolf always spared it's own kind, and never would it lay a finger on another werewolf. Yet that was how Brock was himself as well. He had never harmed a werewolf in his life, and he hoped that it would stay that way.

Born a wolf? Was that possible? Sure, they had to come from somewhere; a normal wolf’s bite wasn’t enough to turn someone into a werewolf. But he never really gave it much thought as to someone being born as a wolf. The idea never occurred to him actually. And it made him pause now that there was the opportunity to explore the proposal. Born a werewolf. That had to be very interesting, for both son and mother. How could that be possible? He had shifted with the moon, all of them had. It was painful…
“How? Most of us are bitten to turn. You were born a wolf? That strikes me as being both very interesting, and very painful.” At least he was truthful. Colin started to chew a nail as he thought it over; trying to see how something like that could work. That would mean that either his mother was a wolf, or his father. Probably father and he would experience his first change after being born. His mother wouldn’t survive both of them changing, would she? Would he chance before he was born?! That was one to ponder.
