A figure moved down the street and slunk inside the bus station. Carefully making sure that no one else was around the figure locked the doors and moved quickly to lock all the others. The figure moved into the light and the female killed the lights.
"Very good. Now I can get some sleep."
The female smiled to herself and then began taking off her clothes. Once they were all off she folded them and placed them under the bench. Once she was stark naked the female began shifting and changing. Her skin moved and stretched. Her hair grew out and covered her whole body and turned a light brown. Soon there was no longer a girl standing in the bus station but a bat. The female stretched out her arms which now had leathery wings that ristled quietly.
"Much better."
The female snorted her voice higher and softer than it was just a moment ago. With little effort the female took to the air in the high ceilinged bus station. The female grabbed one of the support beams with her feet and hung down in a traditional bat style. She then wrapped her wings around herself just as the sun began to set. Her brown fur caused her to blend in to the ceiling and she hoped no one found her.
"Time for a good nap."
The female muttered closing her eyes and pressing her ears against her head. Normally she didn't sleep during the night but she had an early shift at Lenox Hill Hospital. Now she just needed to rest up.

the moon's awake now with eyes wide open; my body's craving, so feed the hunger
THERE'S A WOLF IN DISGUISE nocturnal creatures are so prudent; the moon is my teacher and I am her student • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • The sun was setting, but Sophia was already out and about. She had started off her night in her human form, wandering the city known as New York just to see what there was to see, but she had eventually grown bored and had decided to travel on foot—or rather, on paw—in her alternate form. She stuck to the back rode, through alleys, or over buildings so she wouldn’t create some sort of frenzy; a giant horse-sized wolf was sure to get some attention, and some of the local vampires and random weres had already expressed concern for the reckless way she traveled in her wolf form. Apparently they were supposed to keep it hush hush to the humans to whether or not werewolves and the like really did exist. . . . Well, if they didn’t like the way she ran her life, then they could just go die somewhere. It was her body, and she would travel in whatever manner she saw fit.
However, she wasn’t against killing anyone who saw her in this shape. Turning a corner around a big brick building, the big wolf’s ears flicked at the sound of someone rummaging. A growl rumbled in her chest and she turned her fuzzy head to look in the direction of a man attempting to find god knows what in a trashcan. At the sound of her growl, the man looked up and gave a fearful yelp. He didn’t even take any time to try to figure out what he was looking at—all he knew was that he was staring down a massive beast with large teeth and he wanted to be far away from that, so he took off running down the alleyway. Sophia gave a sharp bark in response and took off after him at a little less than quarter-speed, which just barely matched the gait of the drunken vagabond that she was chasing. He turned down an empty street and Sophia leisurely followed after him, content to just chase him around a little bit.
As the man neared the bus station—he had only now just begun to cry for someone to help him, and Sophia figured that she should probably end this before someone actually did come to help—he picked up his speed a little bit and stopped glancing over his shoulder until he reached the terminal’s office. The man practically ran into the door and pulled haplessly at the doorknob, confused as to why it was locked. Banging on it with an open palm, he cried for someone to let him in. Sophia gave a snarl and picked up her own pace, then made a massive lunge at the man. She crashed into him, and the force of her moment and her massive weight caused the door to fly off the hinges with Sophia and the man on top of it. It skittered into the open lobby for a good twenty feet—with the pair still on it—and Sophia’s strong jaws fastened on the man’s shoulder as she viciously shook her head from side to side until she pulled his shoulder blade free, tossing it to the side and then snapping her teeth around his neck, freeing it from his shoulders. Was Sophia just an out-of-control rabid animal? No. She merely had a lot of pent-up anger and humans happened to be easy to take it out on.

Shredding. Or no was the tearing. The bat opened an eye as the sound filled her ears and to her surprise below her was a big wolf tearing apart a man. Now she wasn't against killing but something was just not right here. The female bat dropped from her perch only too late. The wolf killed the man instantly and her wings drooped in defeat.
"You stupid stupid fucking wolf! Goddammit why did you kill him?"
The bat screeched at the wolf as she pulled the dead human out from under the wolf. Using her back feet she pulled the body and laid it on a bench. Silently she muttered a quiet prayer for the human. She'd never liked them but killing without a reason was stupid and this wolf was going to get an earful. The female turned on the wolf and the surprising thing was that she was just as big as the wolf. Her wings were spread wide and her fangs were bared at the wolf.
"You better give me a good reason why you killed that man because I am seconds away from ending your life."
The female bat sneered at the wolf knowing full well what she was getting herself into if she fought this wolf but she was a doctor and she helped humans and from what it looks like the wolf had no reason for killing that man. A deep snarl rumbled from within her chest and she was surprised it had even come from her.

“You stupid stupid fucking wolf! Goddammit why did you kill him?” came a voice from above. Sophia let out a snarl of surprise and jumped off her prey, snapping her jaws together and looking around. Then, some giant-ass bat creature ascended from the rafters of the terminal. Sophia stared at the creature in surprise, too shocked to do anything. Sophia had heard of were-bats, but she hadn’t even seen one that looked so human and was so large. The werewolf was a massive beast though, and with her head up she reached nearly eight feet tall, and she was not in the least bit intimidated by the creature. Her question and surprise at Sophia’s vicious nature was confusing coming from another were-creature. However, Sophia snapped out of it as the bat attempted to take her prey away from her. Sophia’s eyes flashed and she bunched her muscles. Who did this person think she was, taking her prey away from her! Didn’t this bitch know any better?!
“You better give me a good reason why you killed that man because I am seconds away from ending your life,” the bat threatened, speaking with her mouth instead of her mind. Sophia’s response was a snarl and she lunged at the bat while she was busy trying to drag the body toward a bench. Her claws went straight for the leathery wings, attempting to tear giant gashes into them and ruin the creature’s chances of flying away. I was hungry! she snarled with her mind, teeth gnashing and ready to tear into the bat’s neck or shoulder. And I am the one seconds away from ending another life! You do not take someone’s meal away from them, you stupid bitch!

The large brown bat flew high with the body in her claws. Careful she landed on the beams of the roof and set the body there. Glaring down at the wolf, fangs bared. Wolves are obnoxious creatures. The female sighed to herself.
"You're going to end my life? Oh really? Coming from a stupid mutt like you I think you should be more worried about swallowing your tongue."
The bat hissed down at the wolf well out of its reach. Sure she could have stayed down there and talked face to face with it, but she didn't have a death wish. The bat jumped from one beam to another taunting the large wolf below.
"I must say it pains me to admit that I am actually related to your species. I'd be content knowing that my blood line wasn't tainted but then again someone in my family had to go and fuck it up."
The agrivation and annoyance flittered through her voice as she stared at nothing. A hard day at work and here she was taking her anger out on a poor stupid mutt. Oh well wasn't excatly what she had in mind. Maybe if she kept talkign the mutt would leave and kill some other poor soul, but then again the bat didn't really want the wolf to leave. Company, even if in wolf form, came rare for her. Working long nights and then sleeping during the day. Oh yeah she lived a great life.

Sophia snarled as the bat flew over her, but continued on her way, even if it was toward the wall. It wasn’t far off, and Sophia leapt at the wall, bunching her muscles in order to be ready for the impact. Her paws hit the wall and Sophia shoved off with all her power and launched herself through the air, using her tail and stomach muscles to twist around in the air and bring herself upright. Her teeth snapped shut around the corpse’s ankle, and then gravity kicked in and dragged Sophia to the ground. Unless the bat-woman was capable of holding half a ton of dead-weight on top of another two hundred pounds that the man most likely weighed, then she too would be pulled down to the ground unless she let go of Sophia’s kill. All the wolf wanted was to eat the damn thing. There was a sad deficit of cows in the city, so the werewolf was stuck chowing down on the humans dumb enough to cross her path. It sometimes took two or three humans to fill her up, compared to what the cows could do. What the bat was saying mattered little so long as Sophia was allowed to eat the kill she had worked hard for.
