darling it is no joke, this is lycanthropy. the moon's awake now WITH EYES WIDE OPEN. MY BODY'S CRAVING, SO FEED THE HUNGRY. NOCTURNAL CREATURES ARE NOT SO PRUDENT. THE MOON'S MY TEACHER, AND I'M HER STUDENT. THERE'S A SHE WOLF IN THE CLOSET OPEN UP AND SET HER FREE ---------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- THERE'S A SHE WOLF IN YOUR CLOSET. A WOLF IN DISGUISE
“What an adventure that had been,” Sophia muttered irately to herself as she strolled through the park like there was nothing wrong. Except, you know, the fact that she had a small teenager tucked under her arm like she was a log. At least now she was dressed. It had been easy enough to make sure the girl didn’t run off while she was robing herself. . . . It might not have mattered that much had the girl not been her only bargaining chip in getting out of a fight with two hunters and their little trainee. It was almost unfair for the hunters. She could have taken them all out and ended their misery and gotten rid of three more hunters—well, two hunters and one wannabe hunter. Well, this was the easier way out and no one got hurt! Except for the trainee. Sophia could only imagine that she had ended up wounding herself when she fell to the ground.
Once they were out of sight of the hunters and in a different part of the park, Sophia righted the girl from her horizontal position and set her on the ground, then flicked her wrist in a shooing motion. “Go on and get out of here now. Don’t children your age have. . . school or what is it?” Sophia asked, her arms by her side. She had no more issues with this girl. She was young yet, and she had earned some brownie points with Sophia by not running off screaming. It seemed she was perfectly fine with the werewolf, and that meant that she probably would not run off and tell people about her. Head cocked to the side, Sophia glanced over her shoulder to make sure the hunters weren’t following them. If they showed up after the girl scampered off—which Sophia was quite sure she would, as she had just pretty much been taken hostage and used as a human shield. Most would run off—she would no longer have her bargaining chip and would have to kill them.

Lia had simply been nothing more then a tool for this werewolfs escape, she understood that in this idea her life was at risk and yet it also saved multiple others. Her heart was racing as adrenaline pumped through her veins. Everything seemed to happen so fast that even the world and everything around her seemed like it was spinning in circles. But she knew it was not that it was just herself. She had never once in life felt like this, not fear not joy but something she could not even come close to ever finding a word to describe. Although the werewolf took off through the park it was not long before they reached the other side a place far away from the hunters and the danger. When she finally came to realize and put everything back into perspective she was gently set down and told to leave. But how could she? How could some one just walk away and not even so much as ask a question about what had just occurred. Then she said something about school as well which made Lia look up at the lady and cock her head little. Taking a soft breath she dropped down onto the ground and sat their for a moment in utter silence. Allowing her head to settle a little as well as her stomach. She felt sick but was not going to let it show, she was to proud and stubborn to let any one or thing know she was actually terrified. But honestly who would blame her? After having guns aimed at you and being used as a human shield let alone one for a creature that was not even supposed to exist. So to any one besides herself her feeling would be normal but to her they where a secret. "I...I really dont want to go any where right now..M..my stomach doesn't feel so right.. And no i dont have school its the weekend.Plus i only go a few days out of the week any way... And for your information im not a kid and i do have a name. Its Lia and im fifteen."

It seemed that the girl wasn’t completely prone to fear. The young lady sat down and remained silent, and Sophia wondered if she had broken her. However, it wasn’t long before the young lady—what had she said her name was earlier? Lia?—found her voice and started to speak. Good. She wasn’t broken. That meant that Sophia wouldn’t have to put her out of her misery. Such a sloppy job to do in the middle of broad daylight. Which was yet another thing those hunters had done wrong. . . you don’t engage an immortal in broad daylight. With vampires that was no issue, but with shifters such as werewolves? That just made it more likely that bystanders would be hurt when they shifted into form. And most hunters tried to keep immortals on the down low. . . . Perhaps people were right. . . the human race was getting stupider and stupider as the generations passed by.
“I. . . I really don’t want to go anywhere right now. M—my stomach doesn't feel so right. And no I don’t have school it’s the weekend. Plus I only go a few days out of the week any way. . . . And for your information I’m not a kid and I do have a name. Its Lia and I’m fifteen,” the girl said. It was the most Sophia had paid attention to all night. She let out a little snort and crossed her arms over her chest in a rather contemptuous pose. “I am over nearly four centuries old. Most humans are children compared to me. And I am certain your stomach will feel better once you get over the fact that I used you. You were never in any danger. Had those hunters been dangerous, they would have shot you. Collateral damage doesn’t mean much to the better hunters,” Sophia muttered, yawning slightly. “What do you human children do when you don’t have to learn?”

Lia sat their still as a stone statue for a little while, after she spoke, letting her nerves relax a bit more. It was not so much a sick feeling as it was just nerves luckily, if she had gotten sick she would most likely not be here right now. But it was was not so she just sat still letting in and out small breaths to relax. Looking up at the lady as she started to speak she nodded a little then looked back towards the ground. She had guessed the lady was right to her almost any human would be a mere child let alone a small teen girl. Who barely held any experience in the world. Letting out a soft sigh,Lia hoisted herself back up and looked at the lady and gave a soft smile. She still was not to happy about the idea of having been used for a shield but she really was not to happy about alot of things so it was just another thing to forget about. Which was something she often did, she simply forgot about the bad things in her life and tried to focus more on the positive side. In a world like this though it was hard to always hold everything in and come off as a happy child at all times. "I guess your right.. If your that old then i must be like an infant to you... But you still have not told me who you are... Which i am guessing you still wont tell me any way. But as for your question of what human children do for fun i really dont know.. Im a bit of an outcast and dont follow the normal trend for girls my age. For the most part i just come here and read. Some times ill do other things but mostly it revolves around this park."

The girl continued to try to converse with her. Sophia figured she might owe the girl something for using her as a shield like that, but then Sophia figured that she just didn’t care. Right then. The small woman really didn’t look like she was taking it all that well. . . .
Sophia looked around, then rolled her eyes and sat down. She had nothing better to do today, and it was better here in the large park than out on the streets where people would be touching and running into her. “You may refer to me as Velvela if you so desire,” Sophia said with a shrug. Now that she was sitting down, she was feeling tired again. Her jaw stretched into a yawn. “You might as well get used to be used. Your reaction to the situation is highly inappropriate for someone who was not afraid of me in my wolf form.”

It did not take Lia overly long to relax and for her nerves to return to normal. It was odd how Lia reacted to things, she was scared of almost everything, and yet she was not even slightly scared of the things that would most be able to ham her. No instead she liked the things in this world that where harmful to her. This in fact did cause her to be rather strange compared to most others. In the same time it made her more unique then any one else as well. Lia's ears caught the strangers voice as she began to speak, Looking over at her she listened careful and smiled when she fnally got a name out of her. When she finished speaking Lia was a bit unsure on how to gesture to the idea's of what she just said and was not even able to find a proper way to explain to her that she was not scared of things that most people where just everything else was her fear. So instead she simply looked down at the ground, and nodded a little to her. "Umm.. Velvela I wasnt scared of you using me.. I was more scared of the fact that my own kind had a gun pointed towards me,oddly i trust them even less then id ever think of you. Everything i should be scared of im not and yet the stupid little things that are not to scary scare me... "

The ground was comfortable. Sophia looked around with a tired expression, the way she sat starting to slump slightly as her fatigue caught up with the ebb of adrenaline from having a gun pointed at her. She might have been extremely calm under the pressure and able to get out of it without getting a single person hurt, but a bit of adrenaline had started through her system as she had gotten ready to fight. Most people had either three reactions to things; fight, flight, or freeze. For Sophia, it was only one thing ever—fight. She had no other reaction. When she was growing up, she had frozen too much and she regretted that. Her pride would no longer allow her to flee and her instincts since being turned had become overwhelming. Kill or be killed. Sophia never backed down from a fight, and it was a surprise she wasn’t dead yet. Whether that pure luck or skill she wasn’t sure. Like most people she would like to think that it was skill. Never once in her life did she have stroke of luck except for when Otto found her and all but raised her from the dead after her brother and his goons had nearly killed her. . . .
“Umm. . . Velvela I wasn’t scared of you using me. . . I was more scared of the fact that my own kind had a gun pointed towards me, oddly I trust them even less then I’d ever think of you. Everything I should be scared of I’m not and yet the stupid little things that are not too scary scare me. . . .” Sophia raised an eyebrow at her. So she was afraid of humans more so than she was of, say, vampires or werewolves. The werewolf rolled her eyes and stretched out on the grass. Because she barely ever got any sleep, her narcolepsy usually made her tired in the most inappropriate times. She understood that humans were extremely fickle and could not be trusted, but such was true for almost every creature on the planet. Except maybe vermin. “You are headed toward a swift and abrupt end, little human.”

Lia watched the girl as she laid back and was ready to simply fall into a deep sleep. Looking over her she realized that this werewolf must have been turned at a young age, not as young as she herself was no but still a young age. Lia guessed maybe late teens early twenties. Though none of it was her concern she had seemed to be rather full of questions and other stupid little thins, all because this werewolf was actually what she was. Things where just proving to be different then Lia had ever imagined which made this entire day come off as something of a huge change. suddenly she herd something that she was not expecting. But had herd before, that her life was going to be short.. Why was it that she had to keep hearing that. It was now starting to get on her nerves making her curious if their was something every one else knew she did not. Maybe it was because she was reckless or maybe people just sensed something she could not, what ever it was she had to show them that they where wrong. She was not going to just die at such a young age, how she could make sure of this she was clueless but she was going to do it. "Your not the first person to tell me this... And to be honest i think you are wrong. I might not be immortal or super strong or anything..But at least i do have the power to learn from things and i can use that to keep me safer then most, unlike most humans i expect the dangers of your kind and thats why i dont fear you at all. It might be silly but why fear something that you have no control over.. It would be like fearing fate."
