Taryn Rosalee Jamestheres a she wolf in your closet open up and set her free theres a she wolf in your closet let it out so it can breath••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••The music was intense and it was just what she needed. Taryn had practically ran her ass of this afternoon but she was still so full of energy. She knew what would run her down. She could go out back, shift her form and run to, she didn't know, far enough to exhaust her. But, she needed people around her tonight. She'd been spending too much time alone, too much time in the quiet forest. She needed the noise of the bumping techno and the movement of the crowd to sooth her tonight. She made her way through the crowd and on to the dance floor. Her hips moved to the beat and she was soon consumed in her dancing. She was approached by men as usual, but the usual wasn't what she wanted tonight. The same old, "Hey baby, lets dance," just wasn't going to do it for her tonight. She needed excitement and adrenaline to ride her body all night so at the end of this shitty day, she could pass out in to an oblivion of sleep. Taryn cut her way through the crowd, her short black skirt sweeping along the legs of those she passed. She made her way to the big bar and was immediately served. The bartender knew her, which was always a plus, and he knew what she drank. The vodka burned down her throat as she took that first refreshing sip. The sting of the liquor in her belly only excited her more and she scanned the room for someone to play with.

"Damn it."
Behold, in front of me, was a club. I don't go to clubs. Unless a friend gives you an address saying that it has the best scenery in town. Only that the only scenery anyone would even bother to take in were the drunk, party animals breaking down on the dance floor. I gotta thank my friend for misleading me. With one of my specialty lectures that start to transform everything to hear into "blah blah blah blah."
Oh well. Better not waste this opportunity.
I walked inside, glaring at the girl who whispered into her friend's ear "Leather Lady." I couldn't blame her though. I was wearing a white tank with a tight, black leather jacket over with tight leather pants and boots to complete the outfit.
Once the girl was behind me, some guy bumped, or shoved, into me and wobbled a bit, and once remaining balance, I gave him a little hiss. People person? No siree.
I perked up. The smell. Again. The one I stumbled into the second time in the subway. Who was it coming from?

Taryn Rosalee Jamestheres a she wolf in your closet open up and set her free theres a she wolf in your closet let it out so it can breath••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Taryn drank the last sip from her beer bottle and placed it on a table as she walked by. "What the fuck!?" A girl said from the very same table that Taryn had just put her trash on. She stopped short and turned around to face the complaining woman. Only she wasn't a woman, she was a girl, maybe about 21 or 22, she had no idea who she was messing with. Taryn stared at the girl and felt her eyes glow with that pulsing power that came seconds before she changed shape. The girl cowered in the face of a much stronger adversary and turned her attention back to the much older man at her side. Taryn smiled and turned around, continuing her stride back to the dance floor. She made her way in to the crowd, her hips swaying, following the rhythmic flow of the mind numbing music that was blasting throughout the club. Taryn chose a big bulky man to dance with even though what they were doing could barely be construed as dancing. In the club, dancing was a word that was used often but was very far from what was actually going on the hard wood floor in the middle of the room. Taryn straddle one of the mans legs and he ground himself in to her in a dance that was better suited for somewhere a little more.. private. Taryn swayed with the stranger, grinding her own hips against him like they'd known each other for years. She let her head fall back and closed her eyes. She took in the many sounds of the club. Her wolf ears could hear the rapid breathing of the girl behind her. She could hear the clink of glass breaking behind the bar and a girl crying in the bathroom. She took in a deep breath through her nose, smelling an expensive cologne and a cheap perfume. She smirked at the strong scent of sex in the air and took in an extra breath of it. Her smile was quickly squashed as she caught the scent of another shifter in the room. Sensing another shifter in a crowded club was nothing new to Taryn. But this shifter, it gave of an air of.. menace. The shifter Taryn was feeling was definitely not a wolf she knew, not a wolf at all she was pretty sure of. Taryn pulled her head back up and kissed the man on the cheek. "Thanks for the dance, love." She said as she turned and walked away, ignoring the intensely disappointed look on the man's face. She stalked back up to the bar and ordered another beer as she tried to scan the room for the shifter that was cramping her senses.

I waded through crowds, reaching the bar, which was the only place I'd barely fit in. (emphasis on "barely" as the couple I sat next to... needed to get a room)
I just sat there looking at the people on the dance floor, not caring, not thinking, just moving along with the beat. I felt the presence of someone behind the bar, and turned around to face the bartender, wiping glasses with a piece of cloth.
I raised a finger to get his attention.
"Um, glass of water?"
Usually I'd add the "please" but the bartender wisked away to retrieve my glass of water. He seemed a little odd, but to smother my curiosity, I barely traced a scent of were... or something. It didn't matter. In a matter of seconds, my simple water, was placed in front of me. As so was someone else, to my right, who ordered a beer. And reeked of were.

Taryn Rosalee Jamestheres a she wolf in your closet open up and set her free theres a she wolf in your closet let it out so it can breath••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Taryn took a swig of her beer as she heard a lulling voice order a glass of water. To her left sat a stunning woman who, from the smell of things, was the were that was grabbing at her senses. She was tall and thin, her body the same frame as a top of the line model. Her eyes were a stunning shade of hazel that promised something different lurking just below the surface. Taryn watched as the bartender hurried over with her water and the woman took a slow sip. Taryn hadn’t intended to sit, but when a seat opened up next to the woman, she took it. She held out her hand to the were and smiled softly, putting on her I’m nice and playful face. “I’m Taryn.” She said as she waited with her hand out. She loved meeting new were’s, especially the non-wolf variety. With the wolves, she was responsible. She had a pack of her own to keep safe and meeting new wolves only raised her stress level. A non-wolf could be fun, different, a break from the norm.

She opened a hand to me. I hesitated, and played along. That's what I should do. And so gripped her hand.
"Hello. Viola. Call me Vi."
I played a smile and let it linger as I calmly turned back onto my glass of water, slipping my hand away.
She knew I was one. Yeah... She probably did. It's how things usually worked, but the air of the club made me light-headed, unfortunately. To keep me from saying stupid things, a glass of water USUALLY worked.
I anticipated her response...
This is totally a break from the norm...

Taryn Rosalee Jamestheres a she wolf in your closet open up and set her free theres a she wolf in your closet let it out so it can breath••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••The woman to her side didn’t look so stable on her feet. She had a nervous air about her that tickled Taryn’s nose. She watched as the woman took another sip from her water and nervously looked around. Taryn took another swig from her new beer and tried to ease her fears. “I’m not gonna hurt you or anything. I just.. I could sense you a mile away and I was just curious about you.” She said to her, keeping her tone friendly. Taryn shrugged and took another sip from the cold bottle in her hand. Were’s weren’t a friendly group by nature. Especially when two different species met and Taryn was sure this woman was no wolf. Even though she was curious, she wasn’t about to be rude and ask what the other woman was. If she wanted Taryn to know, she’d tell her.

I gave her an eyebrow.
Well, that confirmed it. I nodded in acknowledgment of what she just said and went back to my water. I paused and looked at her again. She really was curious, but I didn't know if I could trust her. Could I? I'll find out sooner or later.
"Well, now it's obvious what you are. Wolf... I've met one before..."
What would she do? Ignore it... become interested... etc... Many possibilities. Oh well. I chugged down the icy water and this time, called the bartender, glanced at the beer, and gave the eyes. He understood. Mysterious as he was, all he really was was a bartender that would give me beer when I give him the eyes.
I swirled the bottle.
"Ahh... Alcohol."
And glanced at Taryn.

Taryn Rosalee JamesThose flashing lights come from everywhere The way they hit her I just stop and stare She's got me love stoned Man I swear she's bad and she knows I think that she knows ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••She made a comment about Taryn’s species and she smiled in return to her correct answer. She sipped her beer as the woman switched from water to alcohol. She was almost jittery and it was more than evident that she was not comfortable with this conversation. Taryn was amused and maybe a little bored, so she pressed a little harder. “Okay, so it may be obvious what I am, but you on the other hand..” She said to her, leaving her ending open because she had no idea what this woman was. She smelled like the desert but Taryn could still sense the city clogging up her natural scent. The bartender brought her another beer and she handed him her now empty bottle, taking a sip of the fresh one. I grinned.
"I, on the other hand, really don't like this drink."
And chugged the rest of it's contents down.
Delicious. Of course, I'm not drunk, as being a were, it's really hard to be. But enough acting. Now since it's really useful to have a drink in front of you, I called the bartender over with a finger.
"Excuse me? What something deliciously sweet, carbonated, and comes with a straw most of the time?"
The bartender nodded in a polite manner and I smirked at him. My soda arrived in seconds. I slapped a 10 on the desk and laid back, cool and content, waving the bartender away.
"So. You're seriously that desperate? Wow."

Vi made her comment about desperation and Taryn wasn't exactly sure who that did was meant for. Sitting down next to this woman had sounded like a good idea at the time, now she wasn't so sure. Vi looked like the kind of woman who would wreak havoc on your life with just a wink of her eye. Taryn took another sip from her beer and spoke in a sarcastic tone, "Looks like I caught you on a bad night." She waved the bartender back over and asked him for a shot of Jack and he complied. The bartender stared at the two woman with that stupid look on his face that most men get in the presence of beautiful women. Taryn wasn't in the mood to play anymore and she waved him away, mimicking Vi's dismissal of him earlier.

"Well... It's just... I'm..."
I suddenly became surprisingly willing to reveal my identity. Was I really drunk or something? I'll find out later...
"I'm... I turn into... A Cobra."
I stared at my drink, totally blanking out on the reply I gave, and the chaotic world around me stepped out of earshot and became a dull hum behind me. After a period of time, no matter long or short, it was like something kicked me in the behind and I jerked up, slapping a smile on my face for Taryn.
"Sorry... It's been a while since I've been reminded on who I am. I've met only two other weres, and that was just recently... I've never thought that there are more, maybe thousands... millions... of others that are very much like me in this world... It's an overwhelming fact."
I played the grin on my face, and chugged a very large amount of soda down, and the burn of the carbonation forced my feet down on the floor.
One thing for sure that skipped across my mind, was if coming to this club was worth it, if this was fate, and if I owe fate something.
"Ha... Destiny..."

Taryn Rosalee JamesThose flashing lights come from everywhere The way they hit her I just stop and stare She's got me love stoned Man I swear she's bad and she knows I think that she knows ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Hmm. A were cobra. Taryn had never met one and wasn’t even sure they existed until now. But, this woman with her had said she was one, and were’s don’t usually lie about their species, they bolster about it. Most were’s meeting another are proud to tell their species, proud to share their different side. But, this woman, Vi, she didn’t seem to feel that way and they why of it was revealed in what she was saying. She’d only met two other were’s in a city with millions of them. Taryn watched as she chugged her soda and stood up from her seat mentioning something about destiny. “Your right, it is quite over whelming. I’ve never met a were-cobra before and quite frankly, I wasn’t even sure you existed.” She still looked a little shaken up, “Were’s make up a huge part of this city now, your not as alone as you think.” Taryn didn’t try to force herself in to her mind, even though she wanted to. This were was skittish and Taryn was pretty sure if she pushed, Vi would be running out the door. I sat back down as I wondered why I would ever reveal so much so quickly and so impulsively.
"Then, I wonder... Why do people like us start popping up in my life now? I've never known there were others ever since I was born until a couple months ago. Heh, maybe I need to get out more... Or again, is something just destined to happen to me is on my way...?"
I slowly spread the fizzy drink around my mouth as I suddenly noticed how much I opened up to this were. I didn't realized what this could lead to, but it doesn't seem to be my way.
"Ah, I'm babbling again..."

Taryn knew first hand what it was like to feel so alone in a world full of people. When you feel like you’re the only one of something, there’s nothing else to feel but alone. “I don’t think I’m gonna be the one to change your life, but maybe your right about divine intervention.” The bartender brought over a fresh beer and Taryn took a long sip from it. She’d had quite a few, but it took more than a couple of beers to get her even close to drunk. Before she was turned, a small glass of chardonnay would have had her on her ass. “Maybe its just time for your to not be alone anymore.” Taryn said to her, giving her a small smile.
