Specialties:
1. Manipulation (especially of men)
2. Riding (horseback)
3. Fighting (dagger)
Summary:
Matilda covers all the skills needed in 'fight or flight'. She is a smooth talker, and her bright eyes generally ensure her survival. When things fall apart or danger threatens, however, she is not as hopeless as portrayed. Three daggers are woven into her skirts; a fourth, crafted of wolf-bone, hangs delicately from her side. Matilda's experience of fighting comes from her husband, who insisted on the best instruction for her protection. A lost life of royalty included the mastery of horsemanship; a blessing that has saved her life more than once.
Weakness:
1. Viktor
2. Children
3. Affection
Summary:
Matilda's missing husband, Viktor, still has complete control over her. With even a glance or gentle coax, he can alter her behavior, speech, even her thoughts. It is good to note that he has never used this power to intentionally hurt her. Matilda greatly longs for him; his absence as detrimental to her as the absence of blood; and the desire for his return just as strong. Therefore, even the slightest sign of affection - or love - from another will tear down her defenses and leave her vulnerable. Lastly is her weakness for children - the one need she can never fill.Appearance;;
Hair: White Gold
Eyes: Jade
Height: 5'3"
Marks: A small, black iron cross tattooed on her right shoulder
Race: German
Skin Tone: Snow
Body Type: Very athletic
Clothing Style: Loose-fitting linen dresses, similar to old-style tunic dressing gowns
Footwear: Rope sandals
Summary:
Matilda was a little out of style, even when her own blood rushed through her veins. Rather than full skirts, laced corsets, and uncomfortable boots, she opted for simple, billowing, white dresses and sandals. These same outfits are still her daily attire, now adorned with aged lace and sewn rubies.
Inherited rubies also accent her ashen hair, in the form of beads and clips. A single ruby set in white gold rests on her wedding finger, and a larger ruby (carved as a heart) dangles from her neck, with the word 'liebchen' inscribed.
Her wavy hair runs the length of her back with the same grace as water down a brook. Usually braided and beaded, it is one of her few regal features that retain her royal blood. The others are her intense eyes - bright and shining as if cut from the finest jade. An athletic, toned body alludes to her love of swimming and riding, also giving her a sexual appeal not easily resisted.Personality;;
Likes:
1. Viktor
2. Horses, wolves
3. Children
Dislikes:
1. The vampires who stole away her husband
2. Female vampires
3. Isolation
Flaws:
1. Distrusting
2. Manipulative
3. Secretly desperate for love
Summary:
.Viktor, the love of Matilda's life and her afterlife, is gone, but hopefully not forever...even though absent physically, Viktor dominates Matilda's mind at all times. Before her turning, they tried very hard to accomplish her dream of children. Though all attempts ended in miscarriage, Matilda never let go of her desire. Now that she is unable to reproduce, she has fostered a stronger love of children and greater lust to have her own. When placed in situations with them, Matilda is instantly protective and motherly; a soft side rarely seen otherwise by strangers.
Matilda also has strong attachments to horses and wolves. Her current two-year-old filly is a descendant of her original mare, Maia. Unlike most vampires, Matilda is very trusting of wolves and even were-wolves, due to an ancient agreement between a royal wolf bloodline and her own.
On the polar side of things: Matilda loathes the flock of rogue, lady vampires who stole her husband from her. She hunts for them, and distrusts all females until she can be sure they did not belong to the rogue group. Matilda is wary, overall, and manipulates others in order to survive.Background Check;;
Sire: Viktor Voth
Birth Place: Near present-day Heidelberg, Germany
Childhood: Royal upbringing; daughter of a local Lord.
Transformation: A bite by Viktor after four years of marriage.
Prey: Those of poor intentions.
Fang Power: The power to turn humans, also to convert were-wolves.
Other Transformation: Has only transformed a small number of people, including a young niece, Etta, and a brother, Caspar. Bites the victim and drinks only enough blood to cause the intended prey to pass out, as to numb them to the pain of transformation.
History:
Matilda Kiser was married off to Victor Voth at the age of fifteen; he was nineteen. Her single life is a vague haze to her; she remembers middle royalty, her servant Jenna, her mare Maia, her mother, and her brother. Her time as a Voth, however, is still distinctly clear.
The wedding was a grand one, tucked away by a private stream. The families’ wealth was proudly displayed by rubies braided into both Matilda’s hair and Maia's. The meal of quail and goose had been served on her father's silver - two things Matilda could no longer enjoy. Her dress was of the finest lace, dotted with small rubies.
Viktor had courted Matilda for the past year, but was still stunned by her cat-like grace as they danced. The wedding night was just as perfect, concluding with their first attempt at a child.
Nine month's later came a still-born son; his intended name was Martin.
Seven days later, the Voth household was invaded. A fortune in livestock and jewels were taken, and Viktor suffered a torturous bite from one of the . It wasn't for another three years that Matilda discovered the repercussions of this bite, and experienced it herself.
During those three years, Viktor insisted upon Matilda learning self-defense. It was here she discovered her talent for daggers, and evolved this talent into a usable skill. She also continued horse-back riding, but was dismayed as Viktor wished to spend less and less time in the daylight. He tried to content her by giving her a child, but none lived through birth. Out of the five dead children, the three boys were all strangled by umbilical cord, and the two girls had their necks broken during the process of birth. Viktor blamed himself, and insisted his blood had been 'cursed'.
None-the-less, Matilda and Viktor had a family, by adopting Matilda's brother, Caspar's, daughter. Named Etta for 'little one', her laughter soon filled the damask halls of the Voth Manor. The childless couple had finally found someone to satisfy their need.
But outside of the jovial little family, Germany was warring. Fearing another invasion, Viktor forced himself into converting Matilda. She did not handle the turning well, and went on a blind rampage. The result was the death of Caspar's wife, Viktor’s parents, assorted servants...and the conversion of Etta and Caspar. Outraged as well, Caspar fled. Matilda learned later than he was burned at the stake as a witch. Etta, frozen in time as a three-year-old, continued her life with her surrogate parents. Life - or rather, after-life - continued until the first World War, when Viktor was asked to fight for his country. He refused and went into hiding, deep in the castles walls. It was at this time that the group of rogue's returned, this time stealing him away, and murdering Etta.
Matilda had been riding, and was spared.
Since that time, she has wandered through Europe and even parts of America, determined to either find her love, or take revenge.
Code Word:'do the mashed potato, do the twist'Mad Skills;;
Matilda dismounted Maia silently, sliding off with the grace of a robin gliding from her nest. Her bare feet caused the delicate flint below her to crackle like leaves as she walked toward the tombstones. A disgruntled Maia whinnied and pawed as Matilda left her, but did not charge from the eerie sight.
The gate, nearly disintegrated now, gave way at Matilda's touch. She continued through the rows of stone crosses and broken angels, stopping firmly in front of a broken iron cross. Kneeling instantly like a knight for a princess, she gazed at the name etched in the stone. ETTA VOTH, b. 1866 d... The death date belonged to the rubble that dusted the flint stones. Matilda's breath came in measured bursts as she reached and touched the grave marker. Her slim fingers followed the grooves of the E...T...T...A... A vampire could not cry; but the sobs that shook Matilda's body now seemed to communicate an emotion beyond grief. Her white tunic, soiled by the twilight, fell past her shoulders and billowed around the scene.
Meanwhile, Maia continued to grow in agitation. The cracking of thin gravel pierced the spring air, and Matilda knew she was no longer alone.
