You're right, we can't change what we are, we just deal with it. Of course he was right. Ezra was always right, or at least most of the time. And even though her instincts were telling her not to trust him, she was anyway. He didn't realize how grateful he was to actually have someone to talk to... who wasn't trying to kill him. It's true, he has conversations with his enemies before he defeats them. Pacifist or not, he does use self defense, most of the time unintentionally, if that's possible.
And even though the smile seemed kind of awkward to her, it was kind of nice to see her smile. The only other time he saw it was for the glimpse when he'd made her laugh. So, what are you up to in Russia this evening? I hear there's a ball in the Red Square... We could go cause some trouble?! He chuckled slightly. "I honeslty have no idea what I'm doing here," he admitted, then he answered the second part of her question. He gave her a sly sort of smirk. "But I do like causing trouble."

(I dont mind Sam!)
"I honeslty have no idea what I'm doing here," She laughed a little at that comment because she was in the same boat. She'd finally given up searching for Urjasz and this stop in Russia was just another procrastination keeping her from going back to New York. He smirked at her slyly and said, "But I do like causing trouble." She answered his smirk with one of her own and replied, "Good, me too." She stood up and brushed off her butt. Maybe all demons weren't assholes, she thought to herself, knowing that he would hear it.
Taryn looked down at her tight black pants and her skimpy tank top, "Maybe I'm not dressed so appropriate for a ball." She said to him. She then turned her attention to him. He was sexy in a suit and unlike most men, he wore the clothes, they didn't wear him. "Though, I don't think anyone will be looking at me with you on my arm." She gave him a small smirk and a devilish wink of her eye.

(I don't mind either)
Ezra had to admit, he liked this girl. It was rare he met someone who actually figured out what he was right off the bat. It was also rare to find someone who knew what he was and didn't immediately take off running and scream in horror at his appearance. Not that he looked threatening, although he did have intimidating looks when he wanted to, it was just that knowing he was a demon made him seem like some kind of bloodthirsty monster to some humans. And some vampires and were creatures too, the scaredy-cat ones.
Maybe all demons aren't assholes. He smirked when she thought that. Come to think of it, he didn't know any other demons that weren't assholes, either. Just him. Everyone else, even the ones he grew up with, they were all pretty butt faced.
When she said she wasn't appropriately dressed for the ball, he only shrugged. He'd already glanced her over back in the bar, and if he did it again he thought she might take back her thoughts about him not being an asshole. He only chuckled at the next line she said, "Probably not. But if anyone gets on your nerves I can always take care of them for you."

She smiled as he laughed and said, "Probably not. But if anyone gets on your nerves I can always take care of them for you." Taryn shook her head and felt her dark hair sway down her back. Who would have thought it would be a demon in the middle of icy Russia that would pull her back from the edge of oblivion. "Well then, shall we head to the ball, my knight in shining.. brimstone?!" She said laughing.
They were close to Red Square and Taryn wouldn't have minded walking, but she waiting to see if Ezra had driven to the club or not. Going to a ball in her frame of mind might not be the best idea, she thought. But, what else was she supposed to do? She needed to start living again, and not that 'I'm barely breathing but I'm still alive' kind of living. Taryn needed to feel the adrenaline rushing through her veins again, her heart pounding in her chest, and a smile on her face. She felt the cool metal of the gun at her her back and the dagger strapped to her thigh. Taryn never went anywhere unarmed, you never knew when a Ball would turn in to a blood bath.
(Do you want to move us to the Red Square???)

Ezra laughed a little when she said brimstone. So at least she didn't break down... or almost break down, this time when she laughed. And she'd made herself laugh this time too, so he was already helping her. Even though it's totally the opposite of the stereotype Ezra was put into, helping people always made him feel better, even when he was in a crappy mood.
But he couldn't help hearing her thoughts as she waited to see if he had a car. He did, or he could always break into one if he wanted to. But, she wanted to start living again. And she even brought up adrenaline in her mind, so that gave him an idea. They weren't that far from Red Square, not that far at all. But it was still far enough away to teleport there. Of course, that would certainly knock the wind out of her for a moment or two, but it would definitely satisfy her need for adrenaline, too. "Oh, so it's adrenaline you want. Are you sure? You have to be careful what you wish for."
(Yeah, just let me poof them there in my next post)
