The rabbit was fast but out in the open Ryn was faster. He vaguely noticed a red blur as he left the trees. It took him a few seconds to recognize it as Reli. Ryn hit his top speed very quickly. For natural wolves of his type top speed would have been around 40 miles per hour give or take. The rabbit would max out at around 35. Unfortunately for the rabbit It's handicap was much larger than that. Ryn actually moved at around 65 miles an hour in this form. For a normal wolf this was unfathomable, but Ryn wasn't a normal wolf. The rabbit changed directions suddenly realizing that out her in the open it would not be able to escape. It made a beeline towards the trees, but it was too late. Without trees our other obstructions to hamper his movement Ryn was able to turn without losing much speed. The treeline grew nearer and the rabbit saw it's chance at freedom. It entered the trees a good half second before Ryn did. Ryn didn't slow pace and followed it into the forest. A loud crashing sound was heard then silence.
After a few minutes Ryn emerged from the forest carrying the bloody corpse of the rabbit in his jaws. He dropped it just past the tree line revealing that a bit of it had already been eaten. Ryn was limping one of his front paws had obviously been broken when he hit a tree or something going 60+ miles per hour. It wasn't a big deal bone broke and reformed naturally during shifting. When he shifted back to human it would heal. He nudged at it gently with his nose for a moment before he adjusted himself and lay down, panting heavily both from the run, and from the pain of the injury. He had already eaten what he would from the rabbit. Reli was free to do what she would with the rest.

Following behind she'd seen the rabbit change directions - but any doubt she held melted away seconds after it had formed as she saw that the rabbit was seriously outmatched. The small mammal made it to the trees less than a second before Ryn did, only to emerge a moment later dead and hanging from the wolfs mouth. He stopped and dropped the prey just outside of the treeline, but something had seemed off about his walk. He lay down next to the rabbit, apparently waiting for Reli. She sped up, not wanting to keep the wolf waiting, and slide to an abrupt halt near the rabbit. She stepped up to the prey, sniffed it while observing that it seemed to already be missing a fair chunk out of it. She looked up at Ryn, questioning, and caught the fresh scent of rabbit and satetation wafting off of him. Now knowing that he had eaten what he wanted, she lay in front of the rabbit, lowering her muzzle into the flesh.
The rabbit was tasty, just as she had thought. Licking her chops (but not quite finished) she looked over at Ryn, tilting her head at the strange position his paw appeared to be in. Thinking little on it, she returned to her snack, happily finishing off with the offal. She finished with a sated smile on her face, her eyes partly lidded in contentment. Such a nice night.

Ryn just watched silently as Reli finished off what was left of the rabbit. It had actually been a decent amount as Ryn wasn't very hungry to begin with since he was still relatively full from his meal at the diner. Resting his head on the ground Ryn took a deep breath. His leg throbbed annoyingly. Had he been alone he would have probably whined a little as a result, but with a female here; keeping up a strong appearance was much more important than a little pain. Ryn ran his tongue across his muzzle a few times cleaning the remaining blood, and furn from his face before standing up. Alas there game had to be nearing its end. There was no way he could run, and do the other things that she wanted with his leg in such a shape. He could always shift back to human, then back to wolf again which would take care of the break. However shifting so often in such a small span of time had always been draining on Ryn. He walked over to Reli, and sniffed at her for a moment before licking at her blood covered muzzle as well. Though Ryn may never admit it; he actually had a good time.

Reli sat passive as Ryn sniffed at her and proceeded to lick her muzzle. Being preened as such was nice for Reli, who was usually such a long character no matter how much she sought others. It had been nice, in the end, but the sky glowed in a way that let Reli know it was late - late and time to sleep. As if to prove this, her mouth opened in a broad yawn. She stepped back from Ryn and sniffed the air, attempting to determine where they had left their clothes. She turned in a circle, the scent was contaminated by the taste of rabbit in her mouth and she couldn't quite get a direction. It had been a good night - two free meals and befriending a wolf. She wouldn't have guessed it from when she sat partially in the pond and stared at the horribly familar man.

( PAIN OF MINE I RUN BUT IT STAYS RIGHT BY MY SIDE )beware there's things inside without a care Ryn watched as the fox that was originally the little stalker girl named Reli; spun in a circle sniffing the air as if trying to locate something. Ryn sniffed the air too just to make sure that she hadn't picked up something that he had missed. He didn't notice anything new on the air so he assume she must have been trying to locate the direction of their clothing. He stood up slowly stifling a whimper as the pain from his leg shot through his form. He nudged Reli gently with his nose then turned and began to walk in the direction they had run from earlier. His sense of smell was a bit better than hers because of natural prey selection. After a few minutes of hobbling; they came upon the bush under which there garments were hidden. He sniffed at them for a moment, before his body began to shift and contort. His fur fell freely from his form, as a loud cracking sound accompanied the change to his ribs which shortened as his torso broadened. His snout shrank back into his face as he limbs grew longer and thicker. This shift was slightly slower than his initial shift to his wolf form, but it was still very fast.
Ryn examined his broken leg which was now his left arm. The fracture had healed during the shift, and it no longer hurt. He flexed his fingers for a moment before shifting his gaze in the direction of Reli who had not yet began to shift. He gave her a light smile, as he picked up his clothing and began to get dressed "Thank you.....I forgot what I felt like to simply run for no reason other than because you are free to do so" He stated as he buckled his pants, and began to work on his shirt. After about 3 minutes he was fully dressed and tying his boots.

((Now worries. I know how tests are.))
Reli's circleing was interrupted by a gentle nudge in her side. Turning towards it, she saw Ryn begin to walk away back into the trees. Hoping he knew where their clothes were, she followed. Padding behind his form she realised he must've hurt himself in the chase - he was favouring his right forepaw. After a few minutes Ryn sniffed at a bush, Reli (curious over this behaviour) sniffed the air and caught her own scent made pungent by human sweat. The contortions infront of her meant she didn't even have to assume that Ryn was shifting back. Wanting to see the shift back to human, she kept her form for a moment, noting that it seemed to take longer than she remembered (but putting that down to tiredness - hers or his). After his shift he studied his left arm, Probably to see how the damage transfered. To her amazement, he firmly flexed his fingers, seemingly indicating that it was healed. Amazing... He looked over at her, still a fox, and smiled as he began to dress. He thanked her, and even explained why. It took only a short while for him to be fully dressed.
After his words, she had wandered over to the bush and tugged her clothes out before begining to shift back. The sharp sounds her bones gave and the snapping and fusion of her muscles were the inverse sound of what it had sounded like to shift into fox. Her spine shucked itself into nonexisistance as her tail dissappeared, the fur rushing to internally shed. Ninety percent of the hair covering her slide back under her skin, tucking itself away to unknown crevices until her next shift, the fur on her head lengthing the most. Her teeth retracted again, this time wet sounds accompany molars and incisors as well as more humanoid canines. Her claws retracted into her now furless paws as they lengthened so that she has perched on the ground on her hands and feet, before the 'claws' resurfaced as nails. Clad only in her birthday suit she rocked back onto her feet, blinking at the colour, and stood straight up. She turned for her clothes, no sense of shame to let her worry about which way she faced.
"You're welcome." She paused, having just done up her jeans, considering her next words. "Thanks, to you too." She made sure to face him now as she halted in her automatic dressing, shirtless but coincidently not bare. "I needed that sort of a reminder tonight." She turned her eyes to the full moon which would glare down at them if Reli didn't think it looked so kind. She pulled her shirt and hoodie on, fallign to her butt to shove her shoes on.

( PAIN OF MINE I RUN BUT IT STAYS RIGHT BY MY SIDE )beware there's things inside without a care Ryn sat down on the damp grass, and leaned back so that he was laying on his back looking up at the sky. He had forgotten how to do this. Simply enjoy being alive. How much time had he spent in that state of depression that kept him so alone? He couldn’t even fathom an amount. He was glad he had tolerated this stalker til this point. If it wasn’t for that He would still be moping around somewhere trying to decide if it would be better to simply end his wretched existence. Ryn took a deep breath taking in the sweet scent of the night. Ryn looked over at the stalker…no at his friend and smiled."Sorry for being a jerk before…I’m just not used to people like….you" He stated before shifting his eyes back to the sky.
Ryn was happy for the moment, but he was also certain that it wouldn’t last. People around him tended to die or disappear. He had no reason at all to think that things would be any different this time around. It had always been that way. The people around him were simply cursed by his horrible fortune. Truth be told were or not this girl would have been much better off if she had never even acknowledged his presence by the lake. Then maybe just maybe; she would have been able to avoid the fate that plagued all the others. The thought saddened Ryn, but he had already decided. That fate was inevitable, and what was gonna happen would happen regardless of what you did. don't want your grip, don't want your greed

((No no no, seriously it's fine. I totally get what you mean with assignments and tests. My year is gonna be full of them too. I don't mind waiting an age for a reply.))
Reli heard the big intake of breath from Ryn, but faced the sky as she let his second apoligy and explanation wash through her. But at his last words she sharply turned her head to look at him, studying him curiously for a moment. And for once paranoia didn't grip her - her first thought was that he meant her personality, not her shift. She grinned. Looking away she opened her mouth to speak, but finding no words she closed her mouth and simply gazed up at the sky.
She had made a friend tonight, she thought so anyway. Such an interesting friend. But dawn was coming and he surely had somewhere to go, that thought made her sadder than she would've thought - not a tenious attatchment then. She wondered in an offhand way what would happen now. In all honest she had pretty much run out of excuses - if he just up and left now she felt she couldn't follow. but she hoped that he wouldn't. She hoped this wasn't just a one-night-stand of sorts. Because it had gone past that sporadic attactment now, been the curiosity. She liked him, actually liked him. They were... friends.

( PAIN OF MINE I RUN BUT IT STAYS RIGHT BY MY SIDE )beware there's things inside without a care The flashing lights on the wings of a plane traveled across the cloudless sky as Ryn peered up at the stars. The movement caught his eyes, and they followed it until it disappeared in the distance out of view. Ryn sat up and stretched. He always felt so peaceful after a shift. Though he wasn't certain if the act of shifting eased his spirits or was it the rage he released when he killed something during a shift. Either way he was calm now. Very little mattered outside this moment. He looked over at Reli again. She had been eerily quiet for the first time since he met her. She seemed like such a talkative girl early. So many questions and comments, and just utter nonsense, but now not a sound. It made Ryn curious."Is something wrong?" He asked as he stood up. It would be dawn soon. He wondered if she had somewhere to stay. Should he offer. He was fairly certain that Sitsi wasn't coming back. Hell he was fairly shocked that no one had even shown up to her place to find out where she's been

She stared out at the sky, marveling as she sometimes did at the vast space before her. There was nothing in front of her for a ridiculous length, just air and then emptiness. There was no barriers, nothing was really above her it just stretched on and on and on. Out and out and out. Some part of her mind registered Ryn sitting up and a moment later the same part of her brain felt him looking at her. But she kept her thoughts on the nothingness in front of her eyes. He asked her if something was wrong and as she turned in recognition she caught the tail-end of him standing. "Wrong? It's funny how things come across, funny peculiar..." She opened her mouth in a wide yawn, exhasted from a full day. Her mind ran over 'what next'. Where to go, how to get there and what to do.
She drew her legs up, knees up and legs spread in an unlady-like fashion. A thought occured and before she could stop herself she blurted it out. "You made me feel like a Reli." By this time, she'd realised what she'd said, but didn't think she could back down now. "I always feel like a Kain, and... and that means I'm wrong. Heh, as I guess you'd gathered. But being a Reli means being, being..." Her face wrinkled slightly in attempting to think of the word. "Um, whatever." She turned to grin sheepishly at Ryn. Turning away she took care to take a moment to actually think before saying; "Nothing wrong. And so," she stood in a fluid motion, muttering what sounded like 'buttons' under her breath and giggling. "I should, leave." her hesitance was surely heard. "I've gotta figure out where I'm staying - if anyone will let me in at this time of night, that is. I don't suppose you know somewhere Mister?" She finished on a grin, classic Reli to the end.
