Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world
These moments were the moments he truly hated. The moments where he was unsure if he was wasting his time on something. The lack of faith within himself. She had said she liked him. Why the fuck couldn't he deal with waiting? Was it because he had heard that before and waited for years only to eventually just give up. The torture he would put himself through was as bad as the wait he had to endure. The patience he had shown. The damn right pure loyalty. Wasted. Urjasz had no intention on this situation ending like all the previous. Kaja had been killed by a demon because of him. Immortals that had made him wait years before had met untimely deaths. Anastasia was different, he was sure of it. What was it about her that made he want her so badly though? Innocence. Perhaps it was her true and very pure innocence. She was the most innocent person he knew and perhaps even ever knew. Corruption was something immortals enjoyed. Was it simply that or did he truly love her?
His thoughts were put aside as he heard crashes and brakes ahead out of sight. Finding himself moving quickly towards the noise, he broke into a light jog and even his thoughts went silent. And then the worry kicked in. He could almost feel Anastasia's pain, it was that strong a smell. The jog turned into running and he was soon upon the car. She was spralled across the floor and the driver was stood over her. What the hell had happened?! Her door was wide open yet she was a fair distance from the car. Sending away the driver back to the car, he knelt beside Anastasia and looked at her with worry. "What the hell did you do?" he questioned, trying to work out what she'd done to her arm. She jumped out the car didn't she called out the driver as he got into the car, clearly shaking his head at her. Looking down at Anastasia, Urjasz kissed her on the cheek, tears beginning to fall down his cheeks. "Why would you do that? If anything happened to you I couldn't carry on here."
Oh very dramatic gives me plenty to work with though

do you ever feel, feel so paper thin Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing Her arm really freaking hurt. It didn’t quite feel like it was broken, but it definitely did not feel good, either.
Anastasia supposed that Urjasz heard the commotion, as he came running. She looked up at him and attempted to smile with relief, but it contorted into a pained grimace as she moved her arm too much. The pain made her feel light-headed and her vision whited for a second, but she stumbled and caught herself before she fell down and hurt herself more. What concerned her the most, however, was not the twisted arm that hung almost uselessly at her side. . . .
It was the fact that he was almost yelling at the poor driver.
“Please don’t yell at him. . . . I jumped out of the car on my own,” she muttered, her voice pained as she tightened her grip on the arm, as if her instinct was to cut the blood flow to make it feel better. It didn’t really seem to be working all that well, but it was making her arm go a little numb.
Maybe it was broken. . . . Why was she so fragile?
Urjasz was. . . crying? “Why would you do that? If anything happened to you I couldn't carry on here,” he commented, looking at her with concern. A concern so intense that she couldn’t very well meet his gaze. He made her feel terribly guilty, even though she was the one in real pain. She hated making others worry, making them mad. . . she just wanted to make everyone happy.
Looking down at the ground, she muttered “The driver wouldn’t stop the car. . . so it was the only way I could get out of it.” She made it sound like it was the most obvious reason in the world. “I couldn’t just leave you all sad like that. . . I hate it. . . .” it's always been inside of you it's time to let it boom well hey there! this wonderful thread is tagged for the magnificent urjasz ! he and Anastasia are hanging out in the road and having a grand old time getting emotional. My post also happens to be 324 words in length! Like this template? Well I'm the one who coded it! Don't steal it! Oh wait, one more thing; bleh lame post

Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world
There was a mix of replies from Anastasia but Urjasz just couldn't help but look at her arm. He knew exactly what was wrong with it but couldn't bare to cause her more pain fixing it. It needed to be done though. "Anastasia, I need to fix your arm. It's dislocated. That means I have to push the bone back in. It will hurt but it has to be done. If I don't it'll swell and it'll take a lot more to fix it later. You'll heal pretty fast but if it's delayed it'll be an issue for some time." If only he could absorb the pain from her he would. He really wished he could. Taking her arm, he kissed her and apologised. With a sharp movement and a loud click, he forced her arm back into the right position. Hugging her close, making sure not to crush the newly fixed arm, he apologised again.
"I'm sorry but it had to be done. I didn't want to cause you any pain. I'm sorry I got out. If I knew it would end up like this.....well then I'd have stayed." Words were failing him and he just didn't know what to think anymore. She was this determined to be with him yet not with him. He'd never encountered someone like this before. "Anastasia, what do you feel about me?" he bluntly asked, his head above and to the side of hers. He wanted to know and he knew no better way than to simply just ask. The worst that could happen could be the worse that he expected; she simply left him. Yet she had jumped from a moving car. Anastasia had jumped from a car for him. What was he to think about that?! The most dangerous thing she'd done for him before was go get a gun from his room for him, not literally hurt herself just to be with him. Especially when it wasn't a good idea.
Could this be the start of a big storyline? Who knows!

do you ever feel, feel so paper thin Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing Anastasia stared at Urjasz in muted horror. Dislocated? Well that explained why she didn’t think it was broken. Her fingers worked and it wasn’t swelling or bruising. . . she just couldn’t move it without searing pain lancing down her arm and her back.
She swallowed hard when Urjasz explained what he had to do to fix her arm. It didn’t sound pleasant at all and he definitely wasn’t hiding the fact that it was going to hurt a lot. She squirmed slightly ed he took a hold of her arm and just looked away, afraid to look. “D-do what you gotta do. . . I guess,” she muttered, sounding pained already as she clenched her teeth and closed her eyes tight, as if she could just ignore the pain she knew was coming. . . .
But that wasn’t going to happen.
Urjasz clicked her shoulder back into place and almost instantly Anastasia squirmed painfully and gasped a pained cry, attempting to wrench herself from Urjasz’s grasp in order to get away from the pain. Tears instantly jumped to her eyes, but she managed to keep them from spilling over. Her attempts at fleeing from the pain were thwarted when Urjasz just held her close to him, comforting her as she tried to get over the pinprick pain making her shoulder and arm throb. She sank into his grasp, just taking deep breaths and attempting to get control of herself.
“You don’t have to apologize. . . . Of course I didn’t have to jump out of the car but I did anyway,” she added in a meek attempt to make a joke and lighten up the mood. Pain made her voice quiet and dimmed it down just a little bit, though. “Thanks for fixing my arm, though.”
He asked how she felt about him and Anastasia didn’t really know what to tell him right away, so she just sat there and tried to get over the pain. It faded, and she sighed. No more excuses to not talk much. Was jumping out of a moving vehicle not answer enough for that question. . . ?
Fidgeting slightly she replied; “I like you Urjasz. I wouldn’t mind being with you at all. . . . I just. . . don’t want. . . to have sex. . . at this moment in time,” she muttered, blushing with embarrassment. it's always been inside of you it's time to let it boom well hey there! this wonderful thread is tagged for the magnificent urjasz ! he and Anastasia are hanging out in the road and having a grand old time getting emotional. Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world
There was a lot of pain on her behalf and throughout he had been trying to do it quicker. It was a quick move but it had felt like forever. At least now he could help her recover, which fortunately for both of them wouldn't take too long. Urjasz has had plenty of dislocations himself in the past and knew exactly what she was going through. She began to speak and it was her trying to raise the spirits of the pair now. He was about to pick her up and head back to the car when she answered. Deciding that the Novosi heard enough, he waited and listened to what she had to say. His heart began to warm and he was amazed he was hearing the words he thought he was. "I'm sorry if that's all I appeared to care about. I'm just not used to showing love any other way. I can wait. You are worth waiting for. I think I love you..." His own words were like a kick to the throat as he went silent, unsure of how to react to the strong words falling from his mouth.
There was a silence and then he decided then to help her up. "We should really get back. Sleep time. Just sleep. Yes?" With a forced smile, he began walking her back to the car. "You're welcome to share my bed. I promise just for sleep." The amount of sleep he'd missed he knew even if he wanted to, he wouldn't have lasted much longer awake after some sex anyway. "I've got a week to sleep and I intend to do just that. Malakai is leaving and we're getting a replacement. Don't know who yet. The forces that be have to grant someone the power to join us." Naturally he was rambling but he was trying to keep the topic off his sopey side. If the Novosi saw him all sopey, he'd loose a lot of reputation. Realising that this was in fact a stupid thought, he simply shut up and carried on to the car. Closing the door behind him, the car set off once more and they were faced with a few moments together.
Not really as it's just out of place

do you ever feel, feel so paper thin Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing Relief flood through Anastasia when he didn’t get all upset like he had before. She’d basically told him the exact same thing she’d told him in the car, just in a more straightforward way. Maybe her mother was right. . . you had be direct with men: they weren’t smart enough to just get the hint and move on.
Her smile was genuine when she stood up to return to the car, even if it was obvious that she was smiling through the incessant throbbing of her shoulder. The fact that she knew it would subside eventually was enough to make her endure it if only for a little longer. Pain was nothing new to the poor girl and she could endure it. “Thank you for understanding, Urjasz. . . it. . . it really means a lot to me,” she responded, feeling elated.
She was so used to everyone just doing what they wanted regardless of what she wanted or how she felt.
“We should really get back. Sleep time. Just sleep. Yes?” Urjasz commented, leading the way to the idling car a few yards away. Anastasia felt kind of bad for just leaping out of the car and leaving the poor driver to deal with it, but from what she could tell he wasn’t taking it too badly. . . just thought it was stupid of her, right?
Anastasia furrowed her brows and tilted her head slightly. “Why is Malakai leaving?” she asked, trying to carry on the conversation for a bit longer. She hadn’t really talked to Malakai so it was neither here nor there that he was leaving. it's always been inside of you it's time to let it boom well hey there! this wonderful thread is tagged for the magnificent urjasz ! he and Anastasia are hanging out in the road and having a grand old time getting in the car. Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world
There was a long moment of silence from Anastasia where it was just Urjasz talking. The normal routine then. It was clear she was thinking hard yet she seemed relieved at least. As she had put it just previously, she was not one to hurt people, accidental or not. Regardless of blame she would be there in the moments after. Deep within there was always a concern that one day she would help someone not worth helping and they would not be so thankful. Yes the past was full of nasty people, but there was a new found coldness in the people of the modern world, where if someone lay dying in the road, people would simply step over. Despite her silence she asked a simple question and he was brought back into the world of reality, rather than his thoughts. The topic was slightly raw to Urjasz as he'd actually quite got on with Malakai. Between the two there had never been any kind of issue. Such was a rare occassion in life.
"Malakai has had a quiet few months over here and it's deemed that he'd be more at home in his home country. He was originally brought out here as a scout, but we know the city pretty well by now. There's also rumours that some of Daktari's former gang are setting up bases across the world, so I imagine he'll be used to scout them all out. He's actually quite excited. Not often he gets to be a main figure in a mission. I will miss him. Not least because I worry who they're sending over here. There's been pockets of attacks from Daktari's old gang recently here. Don't worry yourself though, majority of people believe Zakhar killed Daktari. That's why the Gorchakov's are the target. I hear they may send someone over who's a sworn enemy of Daktari. If that's the case, I hope it's not who I think it may be. I'm unsure how he'd react to you too. You have......more in common than you would think."

do you ever feel, feel so paper thin Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing Hearing Daktari’s name alone made her stomach clench with a mix emotions; disgust, shame, fear, hate. . . the list went on, but then the emotions started to get unrecognizable. But hearing that he had gang members, and that they had started hanging around. . . . It very nearly threw her into a fit of panic. Her stomach clenched painfully and her heart jumped straight to her throat.
It was easy to guess that the terror was blatant on her face.
“D-Daktari’s. . . gang?” she squeaked pitifully, her voice cracking. But why was she afraid. . . ? There was no way they’d know about her. . . right? How did she even know that Daktari had been in contact with them while he was working for the Gorchakov family?
Well actually she hadn’t even known he’d had a gang. He seemed like more of the lone wolf type. Or, lone hyena, really.
Urjasz told her not to worry, though. That they were targeting just the Gorchakov’s at the moment, in the belief that it was them who were at fault for Daktari’s death. But that didn’t make her feel any better. She was living in their mansion, after all! What if they found it and got in and somehow found out about her? It was hard to keep the deep breathing from happening and she completely missed the last bit of Urjasz’ explanation.
Though she was able to keep herself from hyperventilating, it was obvious to tell she almost on the verge of a panic attack. “Do you. . . do you know if. . . there are any here?” she asked, obviously attempting to sound calm as she tried fruitlessly to get herself under control. it's always been inside of you it's time to let it boom well hey there! this wonderful thread is tagged for the magnificent urjasz ! he and Anastasia are hanging out in the car and having a grand old time panicking. Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world
Without a shadow of doubt the fear in Anastasia's eyes was noticed immediately as he spoke. Whilst discussing it he had trailed off slightly, rambling on about the reasons behind it all. Glancing over at her he saw her reaction and immediately moved across to comfort her. "Oh god don't worry yourself about them. It's just one or two small groups of washed up immortals shooting their mouths off. They've not been that successful in their attempts at getting us. Not to mention that they're in more fear than you would ever be. There's a man out there who they fear more than they ever feared Daktari." Cutting his words short, he was unsure of how she would take the following news, especially as he was unsure if it was even needed. It might not be him coming after all. "You weren't Daktari's first fledging as you were led to believe. There was a man that he turned over a century ago. That man lost everything because of him. He hunts Daktari's men using Daktari power."
Her second question held no happy endings for him as he knew he'd have to tell her the truth. There was no point in lying. "There's always been some of his men here. But it's not all the former gang that are back up in arms. Some work for us now. For some reason this city has been left to us. Many think it's because he fell here, so they can't face seeing the actual location. If they were to send this Sullivan man here, it would mean that the Gorchakov's were intending on sending a message to the gang. Though I'll admit, I'm not too keen on the idea. Sullivan is brutal, but not like me or the others. If you can't help him, you're dead. Innocent or not. If you can, you die once you help. If you so much as look at him funny he'll kill you on the spot. Seems to me they're simply paying a serial killer to do our jobs. He'll get a kick from it all. He's Daktari's shade of grey. Seems to be the common thing these days. Novosi have been reporting random slayings from some childlike vampire. No name yet, but someone to watch out for."
Calm down dear, it's only a commercial XD

do you ever feel, feel so paper thin Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing Though she was still fairly scared of the idea of having some Daktari wannabes running around causing havoc, Urjasz’s words still did comfort her and make her feel a little bit better. Just alone, knowing that Urjasz was there in the mansion again would make her sleep a lot easier. Not that she had an easy time sleeping, anyway. Not when she was still haunted. Anastasia felt for sure that she would always be haunted by her overbearing sire. . . . Even in death he somehow managed to control her a little bit.
“Alright. . . I trust you,” she muttered, finally managing to get control of her breathing and work herself out of her near panic attack. He was already close enough to her when he noticed she’d not been too keen on hearing the news, but she moved closer so she was pressed a little tighter against him, drawing even more comfort from his warmth.
His second bit of news wasn’t as terrifying, but it certainly was shocking. She had been so sure that she was the only one he had ever turned, and now probably one of the very few hyenas in the world that people knew of—naturally had to be more than one, but she had to be the only one in New York, at least—and now there was another hyena out there. One that was Daktari’s victim as well. By the sound of it he was doing something about it, where as she just moped around. . . .
Telling herself that everyone coped differently made her feel less lame. . . but she felt a little more worthless knowing this.
“Another hyena? Is he just now coming into the works or have the Gorchakov’s known about him for a while and just decided not to tell anyone else?” she asked, sounding far more curious and not at all upset. What reason should she have to feel upset? She got a strange satisfaction knowing that she wasn’t the only one who’s life was ruined by her malevolent sire.
Another verbose speech found its way from Urjasz and she listened intently like she always did until the end. However, the sort of mute curiosity at meeting this other fledgling of Daktari turned to a wariness as Urjasz explained a little bit about him. “He. . . he sounds like a. . . really. . . nice. . . guy,” she commented, obviously make a joke. it's always been inside of you it's time to let it boom well hey there! this wonderful thread is tagged for the magnificent urjasz ! he and Anastasia are hanging out in the car and having a grand old time panicking. Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world
Although he had been doing his usual ramble style, it was all important information, even if he wasn't sure if it was Sully who was being sent to them. He wasn't even sure if he was meant to be telling her of his existance. To the Gorchakov's, he was certainly not considered an ally, but he had the same enemies as them and that was enough in the immortal world to grant a temporary friendship. "Oh they've known about him for a long time. He's a former Novosi. Traded in a century of his life to get his revenge on Daktari. Made it halfway through that century when they released Daktari. Even if you hadn't killed him, they had broken their deal. You see Afanasii made the deal, but it was one of the other elders that released Daktari. Frankly I'm surprised Afanasii stood for it, but it's against their rules to kill other elders. If they didn't follow that rule, he'd have been bumped off ages ago. The other elders are, to put it politely, complete bastards."
Unsure if he was actually doing more good than harm, he stopped speaking for a moment, catching a glimpse of the world outside and knew they only had a minute or two until the mansion. "Sullivan wasn't a bad man at first. He was like you, an ordinary person out and about. But over time he's been corrupted by something inside and now he can't even see between the shades. He's the type to kill for the greater good but kill those who didn't need to die. I'm only going by what I've heard and I've only heard things recently. I too thought you were the only fledgling." Pulling up the mansion, he moved across the seats and climbed out, running around to open the door for Anastasia. As he did, he observed several cars full of Novosi being packed up. Asking a Novosi what was happening, he was promptly told that Sully was to come to them and that he'd just killed his host family for betraying him. For many it was the final straw and they were willing to throw away all the perks of the job because of it.
Impressive, let's see how my muse goes!

do you ever feel, feel so paper thin Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing The more and more she heard about this Sully fellow, the less and less she wanted to meet him. Alone, anyway. She was already fairly easily frightened, it sounded like this guy would probably scare her right off the bat. He already had her scared for the heaven’s sake!
She was so tired of being scared all the time.
Anastasia paused for a moment, thinking about his last statement. She didn’t even notice they’d arrived at the mansion until Urjasz had her door open. Looking a tad bits surprised, she just slid off the seat and stood up, stretching her back for a second. . . and then noticed Novosi were leaving the house. She followed after Urjasz to find out what was going on, and she felt another tiny twinge of fear when they said Sully was coming.
Was he really that scary?
For a fleeting moment Anastasia wondered if they should go, too. . . but where would they go? She didn’t know about Urjasz, but she didn’t have anywhere else to go.
“They’re going to leave us here? Are they all leaving? Where will they go? Will they be alright?” she asked in a flurry of questions, not only worried about their own safety, but always genuinely worried about the Novosi as well. They probably wouldn’t have any real problem finding jobs elsewhere, but what if they couldn’t?
Not to mention the feelings of abandon that were threatening her.
She looked up at Urjasz once more and swallowed hard. “Will I end up like Sully? Is that what happens when your sire was a madman?” she asked. The last thing Anastasia could imagine was herself running around just killing and killing for no reason. . . but she couldn’t be sure when her sire was someone like Daktari. it's always been inside of you it's time to let it boom well hey there! this wonderful thread is tagged for the magnificent urjasz ! he and Anastasia are hanging out in the car and having a grand old time being left behind. Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world
It was indeed a worrying sight but Urjasz had seen these moments throughout his life. Reputation was very important in the immortal world but you didn't always need to be some scary killer. Insanity was very much a part of the immortal world as it was the human world. After a bombardment of questions, Urjasz turned back to Anastasia with a rather surprised yet calm look upon his face. "Two cars hardly counts as all of them Anastasia. This will hardly dent our numbers but I can see why you'd be concerned. I've no idea where they'll go or how they'll do. They've turned their backs on us, we turn ours on them. Did you know people left when I came here? There's always a few who can't handle it and need an excuse to leave. Be it simply tired of Novosi work or too new to realise that every person that lives here could be the next mass murderer. Sully spent 50 years with his last family with loyal service. They told him to stay when they broke their agreement. He had every right to act the way he did."
Watching the cars leave, making eye contact with as many Novosi as he could, he watched them drive into the distance. Behind, doors were shut and windows closed. Dawn was upon them. They couldn't have chosen a worse time to go. But it was their choice. Placing his hands on Anastasia's shoulders, he reassured "I have not met this man. I know only what is said about him. If he is as crazy as they say we may be in for a long few months, but if not, all the better for you. There was a chance he was always going to be insane, even as a human. It is said that he lost his human side years ago but his shifter inside tries to convince itself that he's really still there by making human choices. In a way it's kind of sad. For once it's the beast that misses the human." Urjasz could not help but feel a moment of curiousity; would his shifter feel the same if he lost his mind? "You are still more human than any of us. Sully is just the human case with the beast controlling. Trust me, you'll do better with him than your sire."
Now to revert back to Urjasz!

do you ever feel, feel so paper thin Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing Sheepish, Anastasia looked down to try to hide her blush and she brought her hands together and fidgeted a little bit with her fingers, shifting her weight a little bit. “Well. . . I don’t know. . . they could be like clowns and fit a dozen in each car or something,” she muttered, the hints of a smile beginning to tug at the corner of her lips. It felt good. . . being able to actually smile about something legitimate and to feel. . . normal for a little while.
Tires crunched on the gravel as the cars of Novosi started to exit the mansion. Anastasia looked up at the cars and followed them until they were out of sight and then sighed, hoping for their sakes they could manage out there in the world. She didn’t much doubt that they wouldn’t, but she couldn’t help but worry about them anyway.
The heavy weight of Urjasz’ hands on her shoulders made Anastasia look up at him, then back at where the Novosi had disappeared before she decided they should just go inside. Taking a few tentative steps forward to make sure she wouldn’t just leave them there, she headed toward the mansion, eager to get into bed and just sleep the majority of the day away—the majority of the lingering pain in her shoulder.
“Hey Urjasz. . . how many people left the house when I showed up?” she asked, sounding entirely serious even though she was grinning. Like anyone would leave because they were scared of her! She just felt that a little bit of a joke here and there might lighten the mood, and she was completely drunk on her lack of sleep so it was making her act a little loopier than she normally would have acted, but she quite liked the feeling of being able to goof around every now and again.
Maybe she should go longer without sleeping more often. it's always been inside of you it's time to let it boom well hey there! this wonderful thread is tagged for the magnificent urjasz ! he and Anastasia are hanging out in front of the mansion and having a grand old time making jokes. My post also happens to be 327 words in length! Like this template? Well I'm the one who coded it! Don't steal it! Oh wait, one more thing; Lol she doesn't have the best sense of humor, does she? XD

Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world
And so, after a long night and even longer days before it, they were finally heading inside for sleep. To which room, he was not sure of but he would head to his anyway. There was a muttering of a joke and he smiled to humour her, wondering where this new found happiness had sprung from in Anastasia. Perhaps she was truly happy for once, her worries put aside. He could not help but wonder if it was due to his arrival or the news that she may have a sibling fledgling. And to be honest, he didn't know which he wanted more. Should he have to disappear again he knew he'd crush her world. It was why he wanted to be 100% sure with her, so he could tell the Gorchakov family no more! Or at least localise himself. He didn't want to loose the perks in life after all. But working for the family was starting to grate upon him. He was a pet that they let out every now and then.
Opening the door for Anastasia, he paused as he watched the sun rise before entering the mansion behind her, closing the door behind him. There was no need to lock it as so many people came and went at all times of the day. Those who could not see the light of day were confined to the shadows of the mansion, whilst the shifters worked the days. The entrance hall was an off limits zone for vampires during the day as they'd never know when the door opened. In answer to her question, he responded "Well I don't know if this is good or bad news but no one left. I should point out though that you arrived the day after Daktari and enough people left because of him. Many saw you as a pet of his. I know this isn't what you want to hear, but the truth needs to be said." Embracing her in a hug, he added "But now they trust and believe in you. Only you could do that. They believe in you. Now you have to."
Looks like we're wrapping this one up soon.....or are we?!
