Where Your Abilities Fall
The Character Talents
::STRENGTHS::
1. Tree-climbing.
2. Using her charm to evade trouble
3. Rope-climbing.
::SUMMARY::
Austine Wonder had been a climbing extraordinaire since she could remember- which, being the way she is, was an awful lot. She had used it, as a child, to win bets against the neighborhood boys, the ones raised upon sexist beliefs. And as of late, she had used it to get herself out of trouble, if necessary, by scaling fences, walls, anything. She sort of would glide up in the air- as a swan would- but she tried to note it as just a very graceful jump. She wasn't exactly ready to admit to who- or what- she was yet.
::WEAKNESES::
1. Sewers
2. Midnight
3. The moon
::SUMMARY::
Once she discovered who she was- and realized that it was caused by the night- she tended to avoid anything that had to do with it. Her wardrobe, if she could help it, only consisted of soft pastels. Her work uniforms, if it ware permitted, would only be of bright, vibrant colors. She wouldn't allow a smidge of darkness to shroud her. But, of course, the inevitable would happen. She had once experienced it in a sewer, which had triggered her aversion of them. It was her most painful transformation. She had gone down there, for a source of water, and had regretted it. Now she was never that desperate. Ever. Of course, the full phase of the moon and midnight, the point in which she morphed, would be her weakness as well. Since she still didn't accept the Swan inside of her.

::BODY TYPE::
Slim, short.
::CLOTHES::
Currently, she is wearing whatever she can find. But if she ever has the chance, she splurges for a nice Loli outfit. It brought about the angelic charms further
::SUMMARY::
Austine has ALWAYS been good looking. People have told her so since she was a wee girl. She wore the best dresses, and was spoiled rotten, which, surprisingly, didn't spoil her attractive features. She has a rounded face, and curvy lips. An hour-glass shape. She is very picturesque, which most would find unusual for a human girl. Luckily, she found out that she wasn't human.

Instead, to get through her recently tough life, she has to disguise her beauty under rag-tag clothing, and if it ever shows through, she simply manipulates others into leaving her be, as is one of her abilities. She's a lot nicer than her mysterious, intimdating beauty reveals, but she wouldn't allow that much of herself to show through. She believes it to be farrr too dangers.

::HISTORY::
On the date of January 3rd, 1991, the birth of Austine Aysha Wonder was announced. The prestigious family of the Wonders had a celebration to commemorate the birth of their first child. Ever since, since they spawned that swan-like demon, had Aussie's life been hell. She was accepted throughout her community, always welcomed to all sorts of elaborate parties. She was invited to go to many types of special events, and her family would usually be the guests of honor. She, as well as her family, were loved by all. When her brother was born, another party was had. At the time, she didn't know why this was true, but his party was a lot... louder, so to speak, than hers. And it also seemed strange that she could actually remember her very first birthday party. But she hadn't thought about that too much. Not until she was eighteen.
Until she was eighteen, however, she had everything handed to her. Her mother argued, but that didn't matter much to the rest of the family. On the outside. No, physically, everyone treated her as if she were royalty. And had lived under that false facade for years. She challenged many to disobey her, and any that did would face punishment- whether it was dealt with in court or just by the neighbors. Her highest point in live was her high school years. Those were the times when she had the most power, and the time when she had abused it profoundly.
But on her eighteenth birthday, she was treated quite harshly. Her mother, while she was growing up, had treated her a bit more angrily with each year, blaming her for things that were so obviously not her fault. But she had dismissed most of it. It wasn't like she was going to get into trouble with it. She was far too beautiful, and charming, to have trouble with anyone. Even her bitter mother. But on this day, she was to discover a horrible truth: She was a were-creature. A were-swan, to be exact. It, apparently, was obvious that it ran in ther blood. Although, she hadn't noticed this. How could she, when all she noticed was the way others treated her- others that weren't her family, at least. She ran away that night, leaving behind the rich and glorious life that had been handed to her.
After that, for a whole year now, she had been wondering the streets, finding work, finding a home, finding a way to make a living for herself. She had scoffed at people who lived on the streets, angry at them that they would make others feel sorry for them. Now she regretted ever pointing a finger at people like this. People who struggled for a single morsal of food, people who were so desperate to escape the rain, they hid under the lid of a Dumpster. For now she understood their pain and hardship, understood how harsh and evil life could possibly be toward a person. Although she had many odd jobs- as a waitress, as a packing woman, sometimes as a tow-truck driver, and although she needed those jobs in order to survive, she still hid from the world on the night of a full moon, when her powers were full. Those nights, she would rush to any type of large body of water, and submerge herself in it. And then, she would emerge as a beautiful, pearly white swan. Larger than the average swan, she possessed strange powers, ones that she couldn't really call forth yet, and ones in which, she could feel, were pretty strong- although, not the strongest. She'd seen others like her, other were-creatures. And they were terrifyingly powerful.
Now, as a nineteen year old were-swan wondering the streets of New York, she continues her struggle to find others like her, and to truly find a home, a constant place to call her own.

::RP EXAMPLE::
It was during an order that the feeling occurred to her. She was so busy, what with carrying out the orders of everyone else, that she hadn't felt her body shaking. She was trying to write down the purchases in which the old woman wished to make. She was struggling, for whatever reason, to hold her pencil correctly. She glared down at her hand, wondering what in the world was the matter. And that was when the thought came to her. She glanced outside, at the very bright, and very full, moon. "It's time." Her voice was low, a mumble, and probably caused a bit of confusion with the woman sitting politely in front of her. After Austine's gaze hadn't averted back to her, the old woman stood up and snapped her fingers in her face. "Are ya gonna take my order or not, woman? I ain't got all night. Gotta big delivery." Austine's eyes widened, realizing only then that she wasn't alone. Which was a problem. She glanced at the clock. Fifteen to midnight. She didn't have much time. Luckily, however, she knew exactly where a nice body of water lay, and she would get there in just a few minutes. If she ran.
"I apologize, ma'am, but an emergency has just come up." She shoved the note pad and the pencil into the woman's hand, giving her a sad, apologetic smile. "Please forgive me. But I have to be somewhere." No matter how crazy she felt, or how obnoxious she wished to be, she always was polite and patient toward others. She met the woman's lightning blue gaze. The woman seemed to become hazy. Good. Now it'll be easier for me to just leave her here. It wasn't very fair of her to just leave her only customer to deal with the restaurant, since she was the only one on duty, but this was, in fact, a dire emergency.
She escaped the diner, tearing off her apron and tossing it onto the ground. She hated to litter, but it couldn't be helped. She needed to have as little clothing as possible on before she sunk herself into the ocean. She ran quickly, pounding her feet along the now-familiar, slick pavement that was notorious of New York City streets. She jumped over fences and over people, hoping to not knock anyone over. And if she did, oh well. Her eyes caught site of the water. She almost cried with utter joy. I'm going to make it!
She unbuttoned her work uniform, a classic waitress dress, complete with frilly red skirt and red and white button down shirt, stripping it off. When she reached the edge of a bridge, she kicked off her shoes and began pulling down her underwear. She heard someone far off yelling at her, but she ignored them. She didn't have time for them. She tore off her bra, threw it behind her, climbed onto the ledge, and dove in. And just as she was about to hit the water, the transformation began.
First, it was her arms. Feathers began to cover them, as if they were parasites trying to devour her flesh. Then her legs thinned, turning into elegant orange twigs with nicely shaped fins. The rest of her body formed suit, arching and stretching. Her neck grew three times its size, her face shrunk and thinned, and her hair receded. And then it was done.
She was a swan.
She flapped herself out of the water, and into the air, as if she were an oversized dove, protecting the sinners of this unlawful city.
