Building sites at night - the absolute playground for immortals. Always abandoned once darkness descended and the various workers went home... and they'd even been kind enough to put up a pretty fence preventing humans from stumbling in! During the last three years where Drake had been jumping back and forth between Hell and Earth, he'd found that these sites always proved a good spot for having a bit of fun. Currently he was situated about 40 meters off the ground, perched upon one of the steel bars like a vulture waiting for its prey. The navy blue cotton shirt was stained with dark patches that stuck to his chest and his back, and his forehead glistened with tiny droplets of sweat - yet his face was split by a big smile. He'd always loved the physical exercise, the feeling of muscles rolling underneath his skin, twisting this way or that as his body followed the commands sent by his brain like a loyal soldier. Tensing his calves he shot upwards like a spring released and grabbed hold of another steel bar hovering above him. The edges of the cold metal dug into his palms as he swung himself up so his legs could reach the bar, and for a few moments he just hung there - his limbs wrapped around the steel bar like a spider, as he was childishly amused by how the world hung upside down. It didn't take long before the sensation of blood running to his head started becoming uncomfortable, and he swung himself all the way to the top of the bar. Up here the air was chilled, a frisk wind clawing at the construction and cooling off his heated skin. He'd lost his jacket somewhere on the way, forgotten in the rush as he was too busy listening to his muscles singing. Arms stretched out like a tightrope dancer he balanced down the length of the bar, seemingly unabashed by the vast mass of empty space that descended below him on either site. Should he fall he wouldn't die... he was a demon after all... but should he hit the ground he'd certainly break every bone in his body. Pain he could feel, even if death was him denied... but this just added to the feeling of joy really, as the added danger made adrenaline flow through his body. As if provoked by these thoughts, his foot chose this very moment to misplace itself upon the metal. Suddenly he felt the ankle twist as his foot slipped out into thin air, quickly followed by the rest of his body. Pain shot through his hip as he collided with the side of the steel bar, the edges grazing the left side of his torso as he slid to the side. It all happened within seconds, and unprepared as he'd been in his self-confidence his reflexes were as slow as an old grandmother's. In the last moment he managed to latch on to the metal with his fingertips, his fall abruptly stopped short. Thus he was left swinging back and forth like a piece of meat on a butcher-hook, the sounds of the city life drowned in the blood roaring in his ears. The moisture from his breath crystallized around him as he exhaled slowly to calm nerves screaming from the abrupt turn of events. One brief glance downwards revealed that at least he wouldn't have to be afraid of hitting the ground - chances were big he'd instead be skewered by the walkway fence situated about 20 meters below him. "Tonight's just my night," he huffed underneath his breath, averting his gaze from the drop and back to the bar. The steel edges dug painfully into his palm as he clung to the bar, all his weight on fingertips slippery with sweat. He could already feel how they'd started to slip. Yep, tonight was definitely his night. Starring ~ Open Words ~ 650 Notes ~ n/a [/blockquote]

Calliope took a deep breath slowly. She opened her eyes and glanced at where she was. She too was outside and to her own amusement was standing on an unfinished building the middle of the night. She hadn't gotten much sleep and decided to go out and do what she did best..Calli smirked as she glanced down. She was standing at the edge of a steel bar as she stood in the pointed foot position of ballet. She glanced down over the edge and calculated about how far she was off the ground. About 50 good feet she thought to herself as she turned around so that she had her back to the edge of the bar. She took another deep breath and then leaned back.
As soon as her feet left the bar she seemed to float in the air for a few seconds. A second later her eyes snapped open and she leaned forward as she pushed her feet against a wooden board on the wall of the building. She pushed herself with enough force to propel herself onto another side of the new building. She then snapped into action as she seemed to scale the building with relative ease almost like a spider herself. She then made it to another tall steel bar a few more feet up in the air. She smiled to herself as she took off in a sprint and then did a mix between gymnastic moves such as cartwheels and backhand springs off of bars and a few ballet moves mixed in with them.
This finally ended when she swung herself a few times from one bar and placed her legs against the bar. She then using all of the strength she possessed pushed her body off of the bar and to her own surprise landed safe;y into the next building with ease as she landed on the balls of her feet in a catlike position. She stood up straight and then sighed. She glanced up at the moon as a cool breeze came by and lifted her hair off of her sweating back. She had been doing this for about 2 hours straight and it was a great workout for her. She had recently gotten into the sport of Parkour and to Calliope it was addicting. She was wearing skin tight Capri pants that she used for training and a sleeveless black and white top with long detachable sleeves that reached from her elbows to her finger and they were fingerless gloves.
She reached out her arms and enjoyed the cool breeze against her warm body. She then leaned against a pole and stared up at the sky. "It's gorgeous tonight" she spoke with a smile as she ran her hand through her hair.

It was whilst enjoying the wonders of the night clinging to the steel bar by his fingertips, that Drake first heard the female voice that trailed towards him. Her words praising the night were carried to him by the breeze, and despite his situation he set aside the time to glance around curiously. He situated her several meters below him where she was leaning casually against a metal pole, and it appeared as if she hadn't yet realized he was there. From this angle his view of her features was blocked by a mane of dark hair, but though he was unable to see her face he was quite sure he'd never met her before. Not that there was anything unusual about this... after all he didn't have many connections in her world. By simply being there this girl had managed to spark his interest - his curiosity as to who she was and what she was doing up here raising its head like a dog at the sight of a ball. Reality crashed back upon him as he felt his sweat-slick fingers start to slip for real. It was last minute that he dug his fingertips into the metal and threw himself upwards so he could grab a hold of the metal bar with his other hand. But instead of hoisting himself upwards and back to safety, he tightened his grip and started swinging his body back and forth. It took him three rounds to and fro to build up the correct force, and as he swung forwards for the third time he abruptly let go of the steel. This resulted in a second-long thrill as his body rejoiced over the improved roller-coaster ride it was to soar through empty space. With feline grace (the grace he possessed when he actually... paid any attention to what he was doing) he landed upon a new bar with a dull thump, legs bending at the knees to take off some of the force. Now he was merely a couple of meters away from the girl, as he sat crouched upon the steel bar one level above her. "They say talking to yourself is one of the first signs of insanity," he remarked in his own weird way of a greeting, tilting his head slightly like a bird catching sight of something interesting. From this angle his gaze now had access to her face, and this close he realized three things relevant to his interests: One, she was a human. What was a human doing climbing around on a building site, at this hour of the day? Two, his first assumption had been correct - he'd never seen her before in his life... and three, she was quite hot. Drake found that one of these facts caught his attention more than the other two. Three guesses which. Hint: It's not one or two. Starring ~ Calli/Open Words ~ 468 Notes ~ Writings replies at half past 6 am whilst not having slept is not a good idea. I blame any crappiness upon said sleep deprivation. [/blockquote]

Calli was at ease for the first time in a long time and then she heard a voice speak to her. She glanced up immediately as she crouched into a defensive position and backed away slowly. She then realized it was just someone speaking to her; and the best part about it was that the person speaking to her was not a member of her family. So as she begged her heart to stop racing she sat up normally. She leaned back onto the pole she had been as she took sight of the man. He wasn't bad looking and his navy shirt did his body justice as she took in his features.
She shook her head as she tried to hide blush on his face. She was staring again and that was dangerous in her profession. So she brought her legs to her chest and then glanced at the boy. "You surprised me a bit, and that's rare" she joked as she smiled and chuckled lightly. She then stood up and walked over to the edge of the level she had been standing on. She glanced around her surroundings as she saw a bar above her head not far from where the boy was and then another one above his head. She smirked to herself as she didn't nice glance behind her to see him. She then turned and faced him. She took off in a dash right towards the wall she had been leaning against
She scaled the wall with relative ease as she spied the bar above her head. She flipped off f the wall and with her arm outstretched grabbed the one bar. She swung on the first try and landed on her feet on the level above. She then slid forward and right into the face of the boy. There were mere inches between her face and his. The name's Calliope" she whispered as she smiled. She then jerked herself away form him and then jumped for the bar. She swung herself yet again and this time she managed to swing herself to the very top of the building. This was when she got a great look at the stars and the moon. "Catch me if you can" she offered in a mere whisper
