The oldest tunnels of the New York subway station were quite possibly the most grungy place in the city. Years of unwashed grease and mud tracks, old rotting garbage, and more than a few discarded animal corpses littered the tunnels. The further back someone dared to venture into them, the worse it smelled, and the darker it was.
It just so happened that Aidreinne Lynn Riley had managed to follow the tunnels as far back as she could manage. The voice, the deep, familliar voice that was always with her now, had led her here. He had told he to go away from the light, that it would hurt her. So she went. Now she sat crouched in the corner, waiting for the voice to tell her where to go next.
Anyone that saw Aiden on the streets these days woiuld mistake her for some sort of homeless drug addict just stumbling around for the next fix, and in a sense, they would be right. But Aiden didn't want drugs. The voice...it told her to drink their blood. And she liked it. Sitting there, crouched on the subway tunnel floor, Aiden rocked, her long, tangled dark hair wrapped around her like a curtain. Her eyes were sunken in, and not their usual vibrant blue color. The were a strange green...almost like an emerald.
As she took in a shaky breath, Aiden felt a cool wind up her back. And a pull at her neck gave her a chill up her spine. The air, it smelled like him. Like the voice. Aiden turned her face towards the only light in the tunnel, the dried blood across her chin cracking and flaking off. She could smell the voice...where was he? He had promised to come for her. Promised he would come back. She whimpered quietly and it turned into a low growl at the end. Why had he kept her waiting for so long? Didn't he know she needed his help? Aiden clutched with hands that were clenched into more of a claw than a fist at her neck. They caught a rough cord that hung around her neck, and hanging from the cord was a cracked amulet, it's color a deep pool of crimson.

Shadows walked casually down the street. His leather trench coat billowed away from his bare ches where a large medallion hung symbolizing him as a head of a blood line. His skin tight leather panys and shit kickers let him glide soundlessly. Turning he starred down a dark tunnel that led to a pit of blackness. Turning his crimson eyes found the tunnel and he looked around the street. Noone was within kilometers of the entrance yet something here called to him. Leaning in the opening he inhaled and caught the stench of death, decay, and....... Shadows' lip curved slightely as he started slowly down the tunnel. The deeper he went the stronger the scent got. She was definitaley here.
As he traveled along the way he watched as a small cat stalked a catterpillar and shook his head. Aiden must be the ultimate predator by now. Strength unmatched by many and the mental state of a feral wolf. As he headed deeper the signs of her entrance were more relivant. Stopping again as the tunnel stopped and broke intoa deserted platform Shadows smiled. "There you are my pet." Shadows walked slowly to the crouched figure in the corner. Stopping he crouched down a few feet from her. The power radiating from her was wild and crazed. Using his aura as a bubble h surrounded her power with his own and began to caress it. Standing he held his hand out to her. "Come Aiden. I've come for you like I said I would." Shadows understood the madness te skil brought and knew she tread thin ice.
Peering deeply into her mind relevant thoughts still existed. The smirk spread wider. "You're much stronger than I originally thought my pet." Holding his hand out still he took a low step towards her. "Come to me my blood lioness. Come to me crazed hunter and lt my power cleanse you a little at a time." Shadows waited patiently for her responce.

Aiden's mind went into a frenzy as she felt the voice come closer and closer. She liked it when the voice came. He kept her safe and showed her where to go, but he had been gone for such a long time. She clutched at the amulet around her neck, scratching at her own skin at the same time. Through the tears in her clothes, there were obvious scratches into her chest, long and ragged from her own fingernails.
Then she saw him. The voice. He stood above her tall and powerfull and familliar. She could smell him, and he smelled even better than she remembered. A low purr echoed all around the tunnel as Aiden crawled towards him on her hands and toes. She rubbed her messed hair on his hand, rubbing his scent onto herself. Raising her hands, she batted at his chest like a kitten hitting a ball of yarn.
Aiden rolled onto her back then, blinking up at him. A low growl came from her throat, but it was not a threatening or agressive sound. She rubbed her face on his leg and more of the dried blood rubbed off. Lioness...yes, she was a lioness. And now the voice was back to keep her safe and make her strong again. She would listen to him.

Shadows watched Aiden carefully and gauged how much damage had been done. Judging by her reaction with the amulet he would need to take that from her. Crouching down Shadows slid his hand over her stomach and carefully made his way to the amulet while his other hand slid over her face gently to distract her. upon reaching the amulet he pulled it untill the chain broke and immediately replaced it with his own hand so his energy felt even better than the amulet. Looking from the amulet to her he ground it to dust in his hand. "You don't need that anymore Aiden. I'll keep you safe and help you." Letting the tiny fragments of the chain fall and the dust fall to the ground he wiped his hand off as he brushed her hair from her face. "Stay calm, I'll take you someplace better than right here." Standing he lifted her weight as if it didn't register to his muscles.
As Shadows made his way deeper and deeper into the tunnels he murmured random calming things to her as they went. Seeing the end of the tunnel Shadows found the maitenence entrance and pressed his back against the locked door. With an easy push the chain shattered as the door swung open. Stepping inside he glanced around and knew this place would work. The room was larger than a kitchen but smaller than a real room. Walking over he placed her gently on the ground and told her to wait. Walking over to the only sink he turned on the water and smiled finding it was still able to produce hot water. Filling up and empty jug he acquired a cloth and crouched down by her.
"Aiden I promise I'm not going to hurt you, this will be good for you." Shadows gently ripped her already tatered shirt apart but left her bra on. Using the cloth he continued soothing her with his energy as he wiped the cuts that were visable with the cloth wiping the blood and filth from it. Shadows continued this process untill she was in her bra and panties and clean, including her hair. Pulling off his trench coat he wrapped it around her as he threw what was left of hers into a pile. Gathering a few other things he lit the pile on fire for warmth. Sinking down beside her he pushed his arm up to her mouth and flexed causing his artery to protrude. "Feed lioness....feed."

Aiden nuzzled her face into his hand as she felt his fingers on it. She swatted at his hand a couple times when she felt his grasp on her amulet, but somehow she knew that he wouldn't do anything that would hurt her. Aiden felt warm and strong. She believed what the voice told her about not needing the necklace anymore. Then the heat of his body was around her and keeping her safe.
For the next few minutes, Aiden only felt the warmth of his body and the gentle motion as he walked through the tunnels of the subway. Her fingers clutched at the collar of the jacket he was wearing, making sure he was really there and she wasn't dreaming again. She felt the warmness on her skin as he made the pain go away. Aiden knew he was doing a good thing. But it was cold without her clothes. The burning on her skin was going away, and she could open her eyes all the way now because he washed the blood off of her face.
She was happy when he put the big jacket over her small body. Her thin fingers grasped the sides of it and pulled it tight around her. There was heat inside of it, and comfort. Aiden purred slightly at him. She knew that he came back just like he promised. Then he put his warm blood under her nose, and the voice told her to feed. She had to listen to the voice.
Aiden took a firm hold on his arm and nuzzled over his vein. She wrinkled her nose slightly. He smelled different than before, but still good. Then she turned her head and opened her mouth over his arm. Her small fangs had not changed while he was away, they were still dainty but stronger than ever. The skin broke under her mouth and she tasted the blood that would give her strength. Aiden made a high pitched mewling noise and held her mouth closer to his arm. She could feel his energy and power making her safe. Her fingernails dung into his arm as she tried to get more of his blood. He had told her to feed. She would feed.
AS the blood slid down her throat and the energy he was giving off wrapped around her, she began to feel a weight lift from her mind. The voice...he was here...no, not just a voice....Aiden lifted her head from his arm and blinked up at him, startled. Her eyes had a bright sheen of pale blue over the dark green as she looked up at him. "Shadows?"

As AIden too his arm in her grasp he didn't move. When her fangs broke the skin he smiled lightely as she fed. He could feel his power being syphoned through the wound and he pushed more through it. His power was one of the only way to bring her back and he needed her yet. Since his absence his power in the country had waned to nearly nothing. As she pulled at his vein and clawed his flesh for more blood he continuely flexed his hand causing blood to go towards her mouth faster.
When Aiden pulled back he was surprised and when she said his name his smile grew larger showing more fang. "Yes Aiden, it's me. I told you I'd be back, I never lie.....about things like that." Shadows reached over and pushed some hair from her face as he pulled the trench coat closed as to not distract himself with her body. Using his power he smashed through her defenses with it and instead of only touching her aura he surrounded her body with it like a blanket. "Are you feeling any better? What are you thinking and feeling?" Shadows spoke slowly but with a commanding air in his voice.

Aiden stared up at Shadows with wide eyes. "Shadows...came back." Her voice was quiet, but steady. She had always know he would be back though. But as time passed and he wasn't back yet, she had forgotten about him as a person, and had learned to listen to what his voice had told her.
A small trickle of blood dripped from the corner of Aiden's mouth as she moved closer to Shadows. She felt the warmth of his energy around her even stronger than before, and she smiled up at him. Her body was still in an animalistic crouch, but her eyes had some light to them that hadn't been there before. "Shadows...Shadows is here. Aiden is warm now. No more hurt." Her hair had fallen back into her face, and she shook her head lightly to get it out of her face. She hadn't braided it like usual in months. Aiden blinked at her own thoughts. "My...hair."

Shadows stood as he licked the wound on his arm causing it to burn shut. Turning he kicked the fire and causing it to *poof* and flames to lick higher casting light into the room. Shadows turned to face her and suddenly frowned. "Hold on." Turning he cracked the door open and growled as three lycanthropes came walking down the tunnel. Stepping out he smirked as he crossed his arms over his chest and glared at the center female. The woman stopped and nodded her head once. Shadows suddenly had a high caliber pistol of some kind in his hand as he squeezed off two rounds striking the other two in the head. As the dropped the woman cursed and covered her head. "JESUS FUCKING CHRIST SHADOWS!" Shadows slid the weapon into the back of his pants as he walked towards her. "I told you to come alone Ellandria and I meant it." Shadows voice was a growl. The female cringed and took a step back. "Sorry, I just wanted to let you know that this isn't going to last untill the morning, humans are starting to come this way more and my boys can't keep killing them." Shadows growled and looked back at the door. "She's not ready yet. Hold them for a few more hours and I'll see what I can do." The female nodded and skimmed her eyes over Shadows before walking away.
Shadows pushed the door back open and stepped inside. Walking over to Aiden he handed her a bottle of water as he crouched by her soothing her with his power more than before. "Yes, your hair, it's not to pretty right now but you can fix it later." Shadows pushed the hair back from her face again. Smirking he slid to his ass by her and caressed her cheek with his hand rubbing his finger over her lips. "I'll take you some place safe soon."

Aiden stared after Shadows with a lost look on her face. When she could still hear his voice echoing faintly from the other side of the door, she calmed down and waited patiently for him to come back. She cast a glance around the room curiously. The walls were dingy but at least it wasn't so cold anymore. She heard another voice on the other side of the door and was curious about it. Maybe she would ask Shadows when he came back.
When Aiden felt his power come around her again she calmed instantly. Shadows power was the only familliar thing to her right now. As he sat down beside her, she curled into a ball at Shadows' lap. She turned her face into his hand and blinked her wide eyes up at him. "I can fix it later." She agreed vaguely. Then she wrinkled her eyebrows. "Where is safe?" She thought that she was safe here.

Shadows laughed and then smirked. "Anywhere I am is safe, you should know that. But I'll take you some place a little safer than this." Shadows slid his hand into the pocket of the jacket and pulled out an ear piece. Pushing it into his ear he hit the small button on the side. "We're comming out, bring the car to the side." Crushing the ear piece he pulled Aiden to her feet and walked over to the door. Opening it Shadows stepped back as Ellandria walked in with a bullet proof vest, extra small. Shadows raised an eyebrow in question. "Comprimised, they're comming." Shadows growled as he pulled his trench coat from Aiden's body and strapped the bullet proof vest onto her. Placing the trench coat back over her he tied it closed and turned to Ellandria holding out his hand. "What?" "Give me your shirt now." Elladrian pulled the shirt off revealing a solid, heavily muscled body as she passed Shadows her shirt and stood comfortably in her bra.
Shadows kicked the door open and walked quickly pulling Aiden beside him. Distant gunshots and yells sounded the fight. Shadows paused breifly to check his weapon before continueing again. Elladrian placed the butt of her rifle into her shoulder. As two figures came into view she pulled up the rifle and let loose a burst as the two men hit the ground. As they neared the exit Shadows threw the shirt over Aiden's head and gripped her houlder tighter. "Stay calm, I'll keep you safe." A car slid to a hault as they stepped through the opening. Gun fire instantly showered the car which was bullet proof. Ripping the door open Shadows eased Aiden inside and turned firing a few rounds at the men. elladrian slid in beside Aiden as Shadows leaned into Aiden and whispered. "Aiden, the other one with us is a friend, she'll keep you safe too, I promise." Walking around the car he shot the driver in the head for no apparent reason. Sliding into the drivers seat he gunned the ignition as the car excelled quickly.

Aiden sat in the car silently, her shoulders hunched in which made her look even smaller than she was. The gunfire and overall violent atmosphere had her eyes wide and shining. But anyone looking at her wouldn't be able to tell if it was excitement or fear. She was fighting the urge to move forward in the car and claw her way to the front seat, and Shadows. But this woman was a friend, she tried to think. Friend, it was ok.
As Shadows started driving the car, Aiden dug her nails into the seat she was on. She was very uncomfortable in the car, and she couldn't tell where they were going. The only thing that kept her from freaking out was that Shadows was in the car still and he was taking her to a safe place. But even though that was true, Aiden still couldn't keep herself from looking around quickly. Judging what would be the best way out. Her body crouched down into a predatory form as she waited for the ride to end. Her eyes landed on the other female and stayed there. The color progression had continued and now they were a strange teal color, neither more green or more blue like they had been before. "You won't hurt me?"
