Mitsuaki found that this was the closest thing to home. True, it was China, not Japan. But at the moment the familiar smells colors and writing helped. He was having a rough day. The market had docked his hours because minimum wage went up again, half of the people he “helped” today thought it was funny to make fun of his accent, and he was hungry. Really hungry. Too bad most of the food here wasn’t the traditional stuff he was used to. Seemed like all the restaurants were serving orange chicken and chow mien. Nothing was real, nothing was like Kitty’s cooking, and nothing was making sense. But it felt somewhat normal.
Huge paws sent a ripple through the water of the silver reflected moon, big cat waiting for the dog to look the other way. Stupid myth, saying that Asians ate dogs. It was true at one time, when there was war and famine and all that was left was the ox that plowed your field or the dog that woke you up at the crack of dawn. Which would you eat? But now, they were an easy catch. It barked, then bent to sniff something stupid like a cup, that was Mit’s turn. Mitsu jumped, teeth sinking into the soft neck of the mutt, force of the pounce snapping its bones like toothpicks.
Dinner was served.

There was a soft whimper behind the trees of the woodlands, and a pungent odor wafted gently on the night air as the white wolf crouched. She'd never seen anything like it--this huge beast attacking a dog. Its bones crunching echoed in her highly sensitive ears which were pressed against her skull in anticipation. There was no reason to fear it--it was only a tiger and she was much bigger than it, she thought, before she got a closer look at it.
Clearly, something was amiss. Why had it come to attack a lowly mongrel and turn the other cheek from the huge.. juicy duck in the window? She wouldn't give herself the chance to figure it out, well, just as soon as she covered up the puddle of urine she released from her fear with a delicate paw scooping the freshly turned soil. She had to get out of here! Janja's tail was between her legs and she was shaking, trying her best to hold in the keen whimpers of her bestial form.
Changing was agonizingly quick, the pain subsided quickly and the form of the nude woman ran four trees to her left to pull on the little black dress she often wore on her hunts. She thanked heaven the people loved to keep up with their surroundings! She kept those wide, glittering teal eyes on the tiger as it fed, shimmying her tiny little body into the dress. She wrinkled her nose to the smell of the dog, disliking the filth mixed in with wetness and blood. How despicable, she thought, dining on something so disgusting..! Thinking herself in the clear, she stepped back to turn on her heel and jet--only to hear, to her horror, the resounding crack of a twig just beneath her!

Mit’s dinner was gone just as soon as it had come. So he lay on the ground, licking his paws and face clean of the red stain. His white under-coat shone with the evidence of a meal well enjoyed. Tail tip twitching in delight he almost missed the smell. Some creature had marked not far from him. Not a full mark, there was fear in it as well. And it was fresh. Raising to his mighty paws he looked about, keen cat eyes searching through the darkness until he saw it, a slight blur of something leaving. Grinning to himself, believing it to be some other dog (that’s what it smelled like) that he could eat he followed, leisurely. Should find out first.
The bushes found no mercy as he slipped through them with ease. Ah, there the creature was, a snapping twig alerted him to its movements. Dashing with speed that cats are known for he found what he had been after… a girl?! What?! But, the canine scent…? A metallic growlscream ripped from him, charging forward and skidding to a halt in front of the girl. Who was this?!

Janja was frozen in place; beads of sweat had begun to make their way down her face and pave their trails along her neck. Twinkling teal eyes were wide with terror as she watched this feline glide through the bushes. Soft pink lips parted, and trembling as warmth made its way down her thighs, she took in a deep breath and released a high-pitched shriek as he closed in.
Biting her bottom lip, those eyes released terror and the feral beast within made its presence known as she pulled a hand back. Spidery digits curved, dark drops of scarlet beginning to thread its way down her hand as devilishly curved black claws took the place of those clear fingernails. She swung with malice and madness painted on her face, teeth gritted unevenly and sharpened, causing her gums to bleed. She struck that cat on the nose, hoping to scare him off, maybe even kill him--it had to die if it was normal. She'd hoped to see its skull cave in and reveal brains, mixed like oatmeal with little bits of fruit in it.
Still shrieking, pulling the other hand back, she took a daring step forward, aiming to gut this animal and walk away with a new pelt. She needed this; something new to wear or new upholstry for her secluded little home. "Just DIE, ALREADY!!!" Her long black locks shimmered electric blue in the moonlight, adding to the pale palor that was her skin... And then her face became a violent shade of red as she slid down to her knees. A puddle could be seen glistening just beneath her.
Fear was a powerful element.

The bop on the nose came as a surprise, making him leap back a bit and sit hard, paws clamped to his face in a very un-cat like manner. An unearthly yowl of pain rang through the trees as blood gushed from the wound, black eyes clamping shut. But he heard her second strike, and fell back to avoid it. Not a moment too soon, she crumpled to the ground and left him to bleed without hinderance.
“Ah FRUCK!” Mitsuaki shouted when human vocal cords replaced cat ones, features snapping painfully back to the familiar man-face he wore. “Fuhei o iu! Seikou ha sore no tame no datta ka. Gah, watashi ha choudo ha? Ssono you ni susurinaku koto o okonattara anata no sore o da ra shi nai onna, nani datta watashi no hana o kiritoru koto no pointo kowashi ta koto o kangaeru ka. Nonoshiri.” (You bitch! The fuck was that for? Gah, I think your broke it you slut, what was the point of tearing my nose off if you were just going to sob like that huh? Damn.)
He clutched his nose, blood pouring out his nostrils, gash gone. Healing only went so far between tiger and human skin, the gash was gone but the nose itself was still broken. Sitting naked on the ground not too far from the girl he glanced up at her through watering eyes and growled.
“You know, you curd have just shown me you weal human! Heavens above I thoughts you weres a dog to eat!”

She sat shaking for a moment, all too shocked at the nude male form before her as he shouted obscenities in some language--judging by his tone, holding his bleeding nose which she'd successfully broken. Ah, well. He'd have a very distinguishing lump on his nose, now, all the more handsome. Maybe he'd thank her later..? So many thoughts crossed her scrambled mind. Sickness was faint on her reddened face. She was ready to gouge his black eyes right from his face if he came near--not that she'd realize.
It was in Janja to strike first and ask questions later. Something had to be done. She couldn't just sit there with this man--no. Not a man! The realization came quickly and her heart leaped into the hiding spot it made of her throat. Gritting her teeth, she threw her head back, took a deep breath, and let loose a hellifying screech a vampire would envy. She scrambled to her feet, slipping on the puddle of fresh, warm, fear-induced urine.
Teal eyes locked on the target, she turned just enough to jet through bushes he'd come through. Her long, black locks flew behind her as she raced away, trying her best to gain speed and continue moving--where was she moving?? West! West was where home was, out of this dinky little Make Believe Chinese Town and back into--God, what train should she catch? Should she hail a cab? No! Cabs were expensive and were driven by the sum of all evil: Men.
She didn't care who saw or what would be recorded and put on this Tube for You website humans talked about so often. The dress was massacred by the massive form that burst through the red-splotched skin. Bones shifted and ligaments popped out of place to make room for the beast she hid in such a tiny frame. White fur pricked and slid through delicate pores. Her hands and feet grew into paws, black claws slipping through the very tips of each furry finger.
The wolf towered over the crowd, her mighty head turning this way and that, wide teals searching for the quickest route out of this place... or a hiding spot, whichever she decided within five minutes of running. She took a moment to slide those paws over her sleek, curvaceous wolfess form, smoothing down fur that was out of place. A jumpy whimper left her chest, carrying with it a gentle bark--a nervous laugh as she realized just what she was doing!
Falling to all fours, she dug her claws into the concrete to give herself a boost, tail tucked safely between her legs, and took off--
About ten blocks away, behind a Chinese Restaurant where she knocked a screaming woman out of her senses and carefully removed her clothing. After all, the woman within was just short and petite enough to get away with it...
