Shawn gazed up at the paintings casually, music pumping into his ears. He hummed lightly as he walked along, letting the serenity of the museum calm him down. He took at his cell phone, marveling at the time. It was already almost midnight and the museum would be closing soon. He yawned as looked up at a painting named Peace and Plenty his fingers tapping on his baggy jeans. He had been at the museum for the better part of the day, looking at several paintings with artists he had never even heard of. 'Maybe I can come back here one day and take home a little souvenir...' He thought, smiling to himself. He took out his headphones, placing them in his pocket as he turned around and began walking down the formal white stairs.
He had his bright yellow hoodie in his hands, the warmth of the museum had made him take it off a few hours ago. His white tee was wrinkled and his DC shoes made a flopping sound as he walked. He took out his chain wallet, seeing if he had any money left over for food. He had enough for something later, but he decided he might as well make the most of his time. Shawn preferred to take his time getting home. He took of his black hat and scratched the top of his head, his fingers running through his shaggy brown hair.
He stopped at a painting that had caught his eye, The Last Supper. This painting had always been one of his favorites. He knew all the conspiracies against it, but he never paid attention to them. He paid attention to the painting itself, the time it must have taken and the detail Leonardo had used. He starred up at the painting, his eyes examining the artwork thoroughly. His mind began to drift away from the museum, letting his thoughts roam around inside his head. He thought about his failed attempts at researching, he thought about his life, but he thought mostly of his brother. His hand went to the silver cross necklace hanging around his neck, his throat began forming a lump, but he shook it off and snapped back to reality. His hand went back down to his side and began tapping away again. "I don't need to think of that, not now..." He muttered to himself. He began walking back toward the door, whistling as he went.
