The mountain air so fresh and very cool in the fall. Of course it was also very beautiful with all the leaves changing colors, the animals logging in more fat to keep themselves warm during the winter and plenty of other things. Anna was busy watching the squrriels outside her cabin home. She was sitting on a stump just staring at them wondering why it was staring back at her. Of course she had been known to be a real bitch at times because well she wasn't always very nice to people. For one thing she had gotten whatever she had wanted growing up. Now that she was older she was still a hardcore bitch at times.
She wasn't always like that though. There had been times when she was very helpful with people in need and she would backlash people who mistreat her or her friends. Yet there had been one time when someone actually tried to hit on her and she took it the other way and made the man end up in the hospital for it. Too bad the man was quite handsome and could have gone somewhere in his life if he hadn't started hitting on her. She wasn't someone to mess with though this Were - Leopard was a bit new to her and felt a little creeped out at times during the full moon when she changed. Now she heard rustling in the dead leaves on the ground as she started looking around to see who it could have been.

He raced through the forest, bounding over rivers and ducking under fallen trees. He felt so free, so open. The city was crowded and made him feel as if he was in a cage...He hated cages and he hated collars.
He spun and took a right, pushing his leopard legs to run faster. It felt so great to feel the burn in his four legs, his paws were huge and a little odd on the forest floor, but he didn't care. It wasn't pavement and nothing smelled like city. Just trees and animals...
The next fill of lungs brought in a familiar scent that nearly made him slam into a tree. He snarled to himself and shook the leaves from his spotted gray fur.
The smell was feline...female. His ears pressed back against his head and he raised his head to sniff the air more. It was a nice smell, yummy. It's been a while since he had met a female leopard...Not many in the cities that wanted to play and the one that was there was an annoying leopard of a sibling. Her brother...
He hissed and headed toward the scent. His paws kicked through the fallen leaves. He raised his tail and nearly pranced toward the scent. Another toy? Would this one want to play?

Listening to the noise of leaves being stepped on, Anna turned to see who was running. She was expecting human, but when she did turn around she saw a snow leopard. Not something she was expecting. It had to be a were leopard. Of course a snow leopards don't take part of the areas of Colorado. Neither do Normal leopards either. Only in zoos.
"Who are you?"
She was curious as to who this leopard was. Afterall she hadn't met very many people who were leopards. Afterall her friend, her sire, didn't take her anywhere to meet others. Anna had kept to herself after being turned and didn't do much of anything, but move to live near the forest. Something she could keep to herself.
Now with this snow leopard here, she didn't know what to do. She felt like her territory being violated. Afterall she was the only one in the area until this one came. What did it want? It wasn't going to harm her was it? She didn't even know if it was male or female. No one bothered helping her to understand what she truely was. Her friend abandoned her to go somewhere else in the country and Anna had felt left out.
Maybe things were chaning after all. She just didn't want to believe it.

Hi eyes flicked to the sound of a sweet voice and he turned his head to its owner. He tilted his head to one side and snorted. She had long brown hair and green eyes...He continued to look her over and she looked...young. Child young.
He continued looking at her, sitting on his hunches. He felt like playing animal, but his cover was blown. She was just too smart to know that leopards normally don't walk around here...Unless she really thought she could talk to animals.
He grinned, baring too much fangs, and tilted his head to the other side. You're such a kitten, he thought to her. Why are you alone out here?
He got up to move closer to her, his tail flicking from side to side. If he chased her would she run or stand her guard? If he growled or hissed would she flinch or growl back?
He wanted to play...

Anna watched as the male, if that was even right, come toward her asking her a question. "I..... I.... l...li..live he...here." she stuttered not knowing what she should do with herself.
Her brain wanted her to move, but her body wanted to stay where she stood. She was unsure what to do next. If she should run or stay and see what happened next. She was new to all this. Of course she didn't know what to do. She was turned on her 18th birthday and than abandoned the day before leaving Anna nowhere. She didn't think of Canta as her friend anymore. She doubt the woman was even 19 anyways.
"What are you doing here? In the woods? Someone could sh....shoot you."
Scared that she might make the leopard/man, whoever he was, mad she made sure to be careful of what she said. She didn't want to have to get hurt for something stupid that she didn't know about. She possibly could have ran inside the cabin and lock herself in and leave this mess alone and never have to think about it again or she could stay here and find a way to understand everything around her.
Maybe understanding was a good thing. Even if you don't know what your doing. Anna seem to think anyways.

He shook his head. They can try, kitten. I may look like a mindless animal, but I'm anything but mindless... He moved closer and then stopped. He was still a few feet away...
She looked so young. So young to be alone. So young to be...a feline. It reminded him of some of his leopards back home. Many were young and never were taught. He made sure there was older ones to teach them how to behave, but there was still so many as the city continued to grow.
You shouldn't be alone out here, kitten. There could be monsters bigger than me... He chuckled, while he moved closer. Do you hide? Are you afraid? He sniffed the air, but all he could smell were the pines and other trees, plus an annoying squirrel.
He snorted and tensed his back legs, digging his claws in the Earth. Would she run or would she stand her ground? He pounced at her, jaws open and a growl rumbling from his chest.

Anna screamed and ducked out of the way falling to the ground with her hands over her head, her legs tucked next to her chest as she tried to take cover from the snow leopard. She didn't know what to do. She had no way of knowing how to do anything to protect herself.
"Stop!"
Scared was something she was always acting at times. She couldn't figure out how to do anything with her new 'form'. She was lost on everything with no one to help her and the fact that she didn't want to meet anyone or talk about it was another thing. She had taken to the forest to be a lone. She had enough money to do what she wished. Afterall she worked as a vet intern, but she didn't always go to work. She had called in sick from time to time.
Looking up a bit to see where the were leopard was. She didn't know why he had done that. Was he going to kill her? She didn't want to know what his thoughts were. Everything was coming to fast. To fast for her to process anything.
She just went back to being that scared kid in the woods. Hiding under her hands.

Caleb stopped, so close to her. His back legs were on the tree stump while the others straddled her. He could smell the fear on her and he flicked his tongue out as if to taste it. A purr rumbled in his chest as he lowered himself to press his nose into her hair, sniffing the sweet scent of her. So close and he enjoyed her smell. It was practically intoxicating.
You shouldn't be so frightened. He nuzzled her cheek with his nose and flicked his rough tongue out to taste her skin. So young...So alone...A were is not meant to be alone.
He moved closer, getting off of the tree stump and flopped himself next to her, resting his head on his paws. He watched her, bright green eyes watching her every movement. A big part of him hoped she would run. Running excited him. He loved a good chase and she was in the good chase category...Another leopard...

Anna looked at the leopard as he settled himself down near her. She felt uneasy being around him. She didn't know why, but being uncomfortable just wasn't something she was used to being. She was used to being relaxed. She was relaxed before he came around, but now she just had this urge to just go inside and stay inside forever. Forever alone.
They were a couple yards from the cabin. Maybe she could just run through the backdoor, lock it and just go back to being her normal self. Then she remembered she wasn't normal. She was part animal.
"Leave me alone. Just go bug someone else."
Getting up from where she sat in the grass she ran toward the house. She wanted to lie in bed and cry about everything. How her life sucked and she didn't want to do anything more. She barely had any friends, after Canta left she had no desire to have any friends. None that would understand how she felt or what she was anyways. She was still uneasy about why this snow leopard was here in the first place. He stood out to much. Someone could easily send him back to the zoo if he wasn't careful.
Near the door. Just open it and shut it. Lock it. He won't bother. Will He?

He watched her run only for a few seconds. Just a few seconds to give her a head start before he got up and bolted after her. His instincts roared to life at the chase and he greeted them with open arms. He loved a good chase.
He snapped at her legs, his teeth clapping shut, and with his big paws he reached out to grab them as he would to a deer. Though he would grab for their neck and then slam them down. This one....This one didn't deserve the neck. No, no, no. He didn't want to kill. He only wanted to play. He hadn't killed a human....yet, and he never planned to. Though he wasn't sure what he actually did during the day, as his memories are a total blank...He knew he never killed.
Kitten, kitten, kitten. Don't be naughty. Please, I won't...I don't want to hurt you.

Anna tripped and fell over onto her back. She scooted to the back door to stay at least a distance away from the leopard. She wanted to be left alone. She didn't care if she was left alone her whole life. She didn't want to be bothered. Not now.
"What do you want with me? What's so special that you have to bother me?"
She had been curious for a little while, now she was just undecided on what to do now. She wanted to know why he wanted to bother her today and why he wouldn't leave her alone. She wanted to be alone in her own little neck of the woods. Safe from whoever, yet that proved to be wrong. Not after this cat came.
Leave. And I'll Be Happy. Don't Bother Me. I'll Be Fine. Being Alone Isn't all that hard. Wait... Is it? [/i]
