Kali, atop her black stallion walked at a casual pace down the back streets of new york. Blakes hoves clicked heavily, his head swung low. She knew he was tired, but she was afraid her human master would find her. Kali was a slave in a stable of the most beautiful horses in the buisness. There was a track behind it, and the rich would come there. She had finally gotten fed up with him, and in a sudden burst of courage, saddled up Blake and rode away. Kali didnt understand why she tacked him up, the two were so intune that she didnt even have to touch him for the horse to know what Kali wanted. She could understand the horse language and speek it, as well as read and project thoughts to horses.
Her short black hair fell into her pale face, violet eyes wandering around the scene lazily. After a few more blocks Blake gave a huff. There was a secluded park near by and Kali hopped down. Standing beside the horse, even with his head hung, he was massive. Being an arabian he should have been a reletively small breed, yet he was almost as big as a draft horse. It seemed the two were misfits of thier world. Blake was kind only to Kali, and dispised all others, Kali was afraid of everyone. None the less she walked toward a soft patch of grass and started to unsaddle blake. She heaved the black and silver saddle that seemed bigger than her to the ground with ease. Kali's small, scarred hands then removed the black bridle and Blake gave a happy snort.
"I know... I'm sorry i pushed you so hard today... thank you." Kali's shy voice mumbled. She sat at his feet, watching him chomp on the grass around her. he never went far, feeling very protective of her. Kali played with her purple tank top, her hands twirling over the soft fabric. That odd cross tattoo over her heart was visable. It had been there as far back as she could remember. "Rest Blake.... first thing in the morning we need to find some place to hide before i burn." Kali muttered, and Blake twitched his ears in recongition. She was able to be in the sun for no longer than an hour, just because all of the drugs she had been shot up with in her childhood killed some of that vampiric gene. She sighed, resting her head against the stallions leg. His massive head turned and his nose ruffled through her hair, making her smile faintly. "Thank you..." she giggled.
