A young woman lay curled in a ball in a corner of an upper floor in one of the many ruined buildings on the lower side of New York City. Her black hair lay around her and falling into her peach colored skin. It looked as if she had been in this building for quite some time. She looked as if she had cleaned herself up but she looked weak and breakable as she lay there on a wad of moth eaten bed coverings. A moan escaped her throat as the sun shined through a boarded up window.
Finally chocolate brown eyes opened to the early morning and her lips parted to allow a sigh to escape. Trying to stand caused her no pain at all, but the curled position caused her back to ache once she stood straight. A small gasp now escaped her and she held onto the lower part of her back, trying to rub out the soreness.
"My God!" She exclaimed in a whisper as she closed her eyes once more.
Moving slowly at first, the woman made her way to a bucket of water that was sitting under a drip in the ceiling. It had rained last night and that caused water to fill her bucket. With a smile, the woman bagan to wash up after her nights sleep.
Once her face, arms, hair, and feet were washed, the woman grabbed a plastic bag and began to sift through the clothes she had taken off a wire in another room. She had washed her clothes last night, using a bar of cheep soap and the rain outside to wash these clothes. She could only hope it had the same effect as a washing machine. Moving to dress in a beige skirt that fell to her ankles and a black turtle-neck shirt that covered her entire arms and even part of her hands. From there she grabbed a pair of sandals from near her bed and put those on as well.
"Now, what can I find for breakfast?" The woman questioned herself in a mere whisper.
She knew others could come here at any moment but she hoped that for now she would be the only one. She let her chocolate eyes glance around the room until she found what she was looking for. A board in the wall that she had loosened so she could put the scant amount of money she had there. From there she withdrew thirty dollars and moved to grab a light jacket from a nail on the wall and go towards the door. Where she would go from there she wasn't sure.
"Where can I eat today?" She questioned herself again, this time in a louder voice.

Jordan awoke sillently. She smiled as she rolled over slightly, to look at the slumbering Taven. This was his time to sleep and night was her's. Thankfull that the room was blocking all sunlight from the inside, she crawled out of bed and walked to her dresser.
Today she would go for a walk. It would do her and the baby some good. At that thought she moved her hand down to rest over the growing bulge in her stomach, smiling she rubbed it. She was a good 3-4 months along, but the baby was not that big.
She picked out her clothes: A deep, almost burgandy, purple maternity shirt that had lady bugs crawling on the enlarge stomach area. She pulled out some shorts and fresh-under garments then walked into the bathroom for a shower.
After become fully awakend she returned to her and Tavens room to slipp on some sandels and grab her purse and a Jacket. She walked into the living room, after closing her and Taven's door, silently hating that it was always so dark, she loved the sun, and then she opend the door and relished in the light for a moment.
She stepped outside thier litlte abode and walked down the streets, past a park then the abandoned buildings that she relly wished they would turn back into homes.
She placed a steady hand over her stomach as it growled and the baby kicked. Lets get something to eat shall we? She laughed as she walked towards a cafe.

Belita moved moved towards the outside of the building as Jordan was leaving her own home. The black haired woman rubbed her pink cheeks as she started down the creeking steps. It was a horrible place to live, she knew, but she would not become a servant again. She couldn't do that for the fact she didn't want punishments thrown her way again.
Belita had finally made it to the doorway which really had no door and that was when she saw the pregnant woman walking down the street. Belita tried to sneak out so she wouldn't be seen but she knew from where the woman had spoken that she'd be seen. Belita closed her eyes and continued out, head bowed and locks in her face. She could not be seen by a lycan or any other were creature. she didn't know what would happen to her than.
(sorry about the shortness...Mom's talking.)

Jordan looked up and around as she felt many people around her. She wanst one to get cautious, but she was pregnant. Even though this baby wasn't exactly a blessing on the way she got pregnant, she loved her little nudger anyways. She rubbed her enlarge tummy gently as she regretfully rememberd that night.
Shivers went down her spine at the thought of that man...that evil man.
She walked up to the cafe, doors already opened, and thats when she spotted a woman. She looked like she had seen her before, but she cant tell...
She frowned at how she was hiding herself from the world...maybe she could help? No it wasnt any of her buisness...but she was one of those rare optamistic people, and she loved to help whenever she could...
She walked up to the woman, her hair wet like her own and her clothes fresh with the smell of genaric bodysoap and rain... and touched her shoulder gently.
Just by looking at the woman, Jordan could tell that they were around the same age. She smiled at her, waiting for her to look up. Maybe she was lost...or lonely? She couldn't tell but she still wanted to help her. Hello...A-are you okay?

Belita thought she was making her way carefully and unseen by the woman, but she had been wrong. A gentle touch to her shoulder caused the young woman to jump and pull away before looking up. It was the pregnant woman. She was asking if Belita was alright. 'No! No, I'm not!' Belita wanted to scream out but that wasn't wise in this day and age. For all Belita knew this could be a were trying to get a new servant and just deciding that Belita looked good enough to fill the position.
"I'm fine." Belita smiled with a strong voice, defiantly ignoring her fear and common sense. "I hope I wasn't in your way?"
Belita looked at the woman. The woman couldn't be much older than her and she was already pregnant. The times have changed, that was for sure. Belita still loved the times when everything was the way it used to be. However, she had to cut out on that train of thought.
Belita looked around, anything could happen in a neighborhood like this and with a pregnant woman walking around many would see her as an easy target. Belita's protective instincts took in and she motioned down the road. "Do you want to get out of here? I know it might seem strange to have a stranger say that, but a woman in your condition shouldn't go into a cafe here."
Yes, Bell knew where the woman had been heading. She was good at watching.

Jordan asmiled as the woman told her she was okay. She had her woried, though it was not her place for such a thing. She looked around at all the people, then rested her arms over her stomach protectively.
She looked to the woman as she suggested that they get out of here, and nodded. Just what I was thinking She said bitting her lip.
She waited for the woman to go first, then she would follow. She rubbed her stomach tenderly as the baby kicked in her state of stress.
((Sry so short! Jay's heading over...))

Belita nodded with a soft smile, already slightly acting like her old self with a master. She pushed the thought of a master far from her mind. She would not be a slave again, never. Belita looked up the street. It was safer up there. "This way." Belita stated simply as she took a step in the direction she had been heading before. "Also, my name is Belita. You can call me Bell if you want." This dark haired human had never been this polite to many. She only knew that a lycan would laugh at her if she were protective...but another human? No.
Pregnant women always wished to protect their children, born or not. Belita knew this from watching the other slaves that had been around her when they were pregnant. They would be extra careful, and quite a few times it was Belita who took their punishments for them if they messed up. Belita crossed her arms infront of her and seemingly hugged herself. However, no one would notice this because of the light wind blowing through her black locks.
"How far along are you, if you don't mind my asking, miss." Belita bowed her head again, she could not allow her eyes to betray her...or her face.
If she was to stay out of slavery she had to be careful. No matter what she did, she could not be a slave once more.

:DJordan smiled as the woman gave her, her name. Even her alias. She could feel her eyes glimmer with hope for this woman. Im Jordan... She had a boring name but she had an interesting Middle name that she sometimes went by. You can call me Starlet or Star...or just Jordan. She said following behind Bell.
As Bella asked her about her term, she smiled as the baby kicked then made its self comfortable on her bladder. Um.. about 3-4 months...Eh can we find a restroom? She asked, her voice straining some from the pressure on her overactive bladder.
((Sry so Short, couldnt think...))

Belita smiled at the womans' name. "I like Jordan actually. It's uncommon for a female." She explained lightly as she watched where they were headed. Many cafes were open and many of those knew Belita's problems with the supernatural so were not inclined to allow her entrance. At the bathroom question, Belita looked to her left and smiled. "Right in here actually. The only place that serves cheep breakfast and good service all in one. Clean bathrooms too." Belita chuckled, remembering hiding in one not long ago.
"Three to four months? Wow, and the father allows you out on your own?" Belita chuckled and than felt her smile fade. "Sorry. I day dream in a way. I could picture a soon-to-be father being protective of the child and the mother. However...Nevermind. Sorry." Belita shook her head as she held open the door.
The cafe was dimly lit and soft morning tunes were playing from a speaker above the door and behind the cashiers' table. The walls were a very light lavender color with a painting of a sun rise on the wall opposite the door. The ceiling held a mural of all the different colors the sky turns before the sun is completely up and bothering the just waking people of the city. It was warm here too, invitig.
"The bathrooms are over there" Belita whispered as she pointed towards a hallway which was clearly marked 'RESTROOM'.

Jordan smiled...but only for a minute. The baby began to shift its weight, rocking on her full bladder. She made and attempt to smile, but it came out as a grimace. She hope Bell would forgive her for that. She absently grabbed Bells hand and Moved to the bathroom, letting her go and run/wadeling into a stall.
Well you see the father um...We dont talk about him...But my Fience, he sleeps in on days like this... She said, the hollow echo of the stall minicked her voice lightly. She stood and flushed, pulled up her spandex waisted banned shorts and walked out. She washed her hands a good two times, making sure her enlarged tummy didnt touch the sink.
Sry about pulling u in here like this I just...I like to talk you know? She said smileing at Bell.

It was the mention of the fiance that caught Belita's attention and the phrase 'sleep in on days'. The young woman shuddered lightly as Jordan came from the bathroom and moved towards the sinks. "It's fine. I don't mind. I haven't really...spoken to anyone for a while." Belita smiled shyly into the mirror that Jordan stood in front of to wash her hands.
"So, your fiance, he must be a good man to not mind this not being his child." Belita hedged for more information. She was no hunter, that was for sure. Belita was an ex. slave of a vampire master and she was not looking forward to that happening again. However, she could also be looking into this far more than she needed to. But she had made the comment she was a day dreamer.
I'm foolish. I should just leave now. She's safe, nothing can get her in here. Belita thought to herself as she looked to the ground, picturing each of her scars individually. It wasn't a pretty picture and she knew it. Belita smoothed out her long skirt and made sure her arms were covered nicely. No scars were showing that would proclaim her for what she was. That was good.

Jordan smiled. Taven is the kind of man to not worry whats his or whats everyone else's. He dosent take, but he gives. He loves me and he loves the baby, no matter who the father is.
She turned off the water and pulled out to paper towles out of the despsencer, drying her hands tactically. She looked to Bell as she looked to the ground.
Is everyting okay? Did I upset you? She frowned then suddenly grabbed Bells hand and placed it her enlarged tummy.
Do you feel that? She asked as the baby kicked, fussing from all the talk and no food. She smiled and looked up at Bell, cheer in her eyes. It must like you, but usually thier shy.
She really wanted this girl to smile and be happy, no matter what it took.

Belita looked up quickly as Jordan asked her if she was alright and than suddenly grabbed her hand. Her chocolate eyes were wide and she looked shocked as a small kick shoved against her hand. She withdrew quickly but the light was back in her eyes. A new life should be celebrated, no matter the cause or the effect. Belita vowed within her mind and allowed a small smile to play against her lips.
"I am fine and no, you did not upset me. I would like to meet Taven though. I may actually have a bit more in common with him than you both may think." Belita spoke vaugely and than turned towards the door. "Aren't we here to eat? They baby has to be just as hungry as you are." Belita chuckled now, feeling strange to be laughing and smiling with a complete stranger.
Not to mention the need to protect the unborn child. Belita thought with amusement.

Jordan smiled and nodded. She was quiet hungry and the baby was fussing an awful lot.
She walked out and over to a tho chaired table. She pulled out her chair, giving her large stomach room for comfort. She waited for bell to settle in her seat.
She watched as people staired at her for a moment and it made her look down. I know what you're thinking. I know what thier thinking. She told Bell.
Everyone thinks the same thing. Im too young to be pregnant. Its ture really...But it wasnt my f-..acctually it was my fault. I shouldnt have been out walking alone that night without Taven.... I-I knew better.... She looked up slightly through her lashes, small tears in her eyes then she looked back down.

Once seated comfortably Belita listened to Jordan's small speech. She didn't smile but felt an urge to harm everyone in this building who made this woman feel uneasy. However, she held back her need to protect this woman and her child as she reached across the table and grabbed her hand. "No, Jordan. Not everyone in here thinks that. I don't. I saw quite a lot of young girls, younger than you, be pregnant. That's what happens when you live in an orphanage." Belita smiled only slightly and squeezed the womans' hand before withdrawing to greet their waiter.
"I'm in the mood for a stack of Earl's pancakes and his coffee." Belita replied without even looking at the offered menu. She knew how much her bill would be and it wouldn't be that much. That was one reason why she loved this place. They were cheep and their service was perfect.
Once the waiter received her order, he turned towards Jordan with no expression of distrust or unhappiness towards the young pregnant woman. All he showed was the pleasure of waiting upon others. Belita smiled. This man, she knew. This man was one of the few that always kept an eye open for Belita at their last job. Belita shuddered lightly and felt the mans urge to turn back to her. The young chocolate eyed woman smiled at her calsped hands in her lap. Perhaps today wouldn't be as bad as the others.
