"Oh no...oh no...no no no...um...maybe I was supposed to go this way? No. Not that way. Er...how about...oh no. I'm lost." A blond female stood at a crosswalk, trying to figure out which road to go down on. The paper she had been given gave her clear directions and yet...she had no idea how to get there. Why? She hardly left her apartment! The only times she would dare step foot into the outside world was to get food, clothing, needed items for her careers and other things.
With a sigh, she leaned against the pole holding up the street names and sank down the the cold cement. Now what? Should she wait for a police man to come by and ask for help? No. No cops have been known to do dishonorable things. She can't trust anyone but herself and yet...
Dammit.
The frustrated female rubbed her wet eyes with the back of her hands. It wasn't her fault that she was so scared of many things! Facing her fears was something she could never do! It was big enough for her to leave her apartment for a reason other than the usual! "Now how will I get home?" Right hand crumpled up the directions and tossed them aside. If her aunt had been more specific or even had the decency to pick her up, she wouldn't be in this situation. But...she can't blame her. It was her fault for claiming she could find her way...

Brock was out on one of his nightly walks, trying to get away from the stresses that he was always exposed to. Even though it had been this way for years, it didn't make it any easier for him. Every once and awhile, he'd try to reserve an entire day for relaxation, only taking in the stressers that had to be done. Only very few things fell into that category, and one of them was protecting his own.
Yet most of the werewolves could very well take care of themselves, and it was rare that Brock had to step in and help one out in battle. With all that being said, he pushed away all the negative thoughts in his mind and continued on his walk. It wasen't until he had reached a good distance that he came across a human girl, and she seemed to be lost. Having in this city for many years, Brock knew he could probably help her out.
Without thinking about much more, he walked towards her and made sure not to do anything that would make her feel threatened. "Need help getting somewhere miss?" He asked politely. He didn't want to seem like some freak wanting to harm someone, so he kept a positive composure and waited for her answer. Hopefully he could point this girl in the right direction, if not, he'd still try to help in whatever way possible.

"Okay. Okay stay calm. Panic is the enemy. Mom told you that panic is bad. Very bad." While saying this, Ameena kept on crying. Why didn't she just stay home where it was safer? What if she gets approached by someone? Oh no that won't be good! She hated talking to strangers! No, not hate, she was terrified of them! It was then she heard footsteps ringing ever so clearly. Someone was coming and she was caught out in the open! NO NO NO!
"Need help getting somewhere miss?"
Ameena looked up at the large male before she looked down at her feet, her fingers curling in to grasp at the long sleeves of her shirt. Slowly, she shook her head. Another one of her flaws was refusing help from others no matter how good the intention was. Fingers continued to play with her long sleeves, eyes darting left and right at a calm pace. There was no hostility coming from him so thus far she was alright with just standing there...even though it was very uncomfortable.

Brock listened as she spoke her answer. He could tell that she wasen't being honest, and he couldn't blame her for that. It must've been a bit odd for someone you didn't know to just come up to you and start talking. "You sure? I've lived here for years, and I know these streets like the back of my hand." He then forked up a smile and gave a small laugh. "Don't you think getting help from a stranger is better than getting lost in a huge city like this?"
Of course, some people also told Brock that he looked pretty intimidating, even when trying to be nice. Not only was it his size, but also his piercing icy blue eyes, and the werewolf tatoos he had on his arms. There weren't too many of them though, just one on each upper arm and another on his forearm. Yet one of those tattoos showed a werewolf tearing into a vampire, and it wasen't considered pleasant to everyone he met.

Ameena looked back up at the male, her upper teeth biting down on her lower lip. The poor thing was clearly uncomfortable and even partially terrified. Anyone can tell just by looking at the expression on her face that she wasn't willing to trust anyone anytime soon. Eyes were back at her feet, hands now fiddling with the hem of her shirt. What should I do? Maybe if I start walking away he'll go away? That might work.
"Don't you think getting help from a stranger is better than getting lost in a huge city like this?"
Once more, Ameena shook her head in response and took a few steps back. Getting away right now would be a good idea. Refusing to look the tall stranger in the eyes, she turned to the left and started walking away. Perhaps she can just work her way backwards? She still had the directions and might make it home in time to watch late night shows.

Brock's smile faded a bit when the girl began walking away. He wanted to help, yet he didn't want to make it seem like he was chasing after her. So instead, he stood right where he was and spoke. "I don't mean to frighten you or anything, all I want to do is help." He then rememberd catching a glimpse of her paper, and it looked like the last street said "Pine street". Brock knew where that was, and no doubt that he could point her in the right direction.
"If you're looking for Pine street, it's only a few blocks away. Just keep going straight, turn the corner, then go left at the end of the buildings, and keep going some more. You should come right up on Pine." In case she turned around, he kept a small smile on his face. "I could come along with you if you'd like..." Brock really didn't have much else to do tonight, a rarity for him.

Ameena appreciated the fact that he was trying to help but she can't, for the life of her, trust him. Ever since her abusive stepfather came into her life, she had lost all will to trust anyone for even the simplest of things...even directions. When he started giving her directions, she paused and listened carefully. I guess he does know his way around here. I should be careful. He might be lying just like everyone else.
Once more, the human shook her head when he asked about coming along. It was then she heard something she dreaded more than anything. Gun shots. They were actually behind the two but in her panicked state, Ameena took off. She wanted to go home! She wanted to be in her safe apartment, away from strangers and he like!
She took a right, a left and went down a road. Who cares if she gets lost again?!

Brock heard the gunshots as well, and as a natural reaction, he went to reach for his Glock 17. Yet something suddenly stopped him, the fact that this human girl was affraid, and if he pulled out a gun, she'd probably be affraid even more. So he kept it out of his hand, and instead, scanned the area with his senses. Brock could sense another human near by, and also vampire.
He didn't know which was the victim, until the smell of human blood came to him. The human had probably come across the vampire and fired off a shot to protect themselves. Around here, that always seemed the case, and rarely did the human win. With that, he took off after the human girl, knowing that the vampire could easily take her as it's next victim. Usually he didn't protect humans, but he loved to spoil the fun of vampires.

Ameena kept running, not once stopping to look behind her or catch her breath. Her throat and mouth were parched from taking in rapid amounts of the cool, dry air, her cheeks had turned red and her chest was tightening. When she finally thought it was safe, Ameena leaned against a wall, finally taking the time to catch the breath she needed. It was then she felt someone drawing close. Who..?
"Well, well, well. What do we have here?"
Rough hands grabbed the defenseless female, keeping her pinned against the wall. It was then she caught a familiar scent: blood. Terrified, she looked up to see a pale figure with piercing blue eyes and black hair. What stood out? The blood splatters all over his body and those...CANINES?!
Ameena screamed and struggled against the vampire but to no avail. He had a strong grip on her. "Don't worry, dearie. This won't hurt...much..." Well. You can kill a vampire have fun tearing him apart.

Brock rounded the corner and saw the human girl pinned to a wall. He quickly pulled out his Glock, and pointed it at the vampire. "Hey suck face, try picking on someone of your own size." The vampire turned around and looked at him, and just as he did, Brock fired off a few rounds. Bullets struck the vamp in the leg and shoulder and he watched as it fell to the ground. The rounds he used were meant to cause a leech pain and to slowly kill it, but Brock wanted to have a little more fun.
As he approached, he let his inner beast take over and he pulled his shirt off. Then he shifted to his wolf form and sent a wave of calm over to the human girl. Brock didn't want her running off and getting killed by another vampire or even a werewolf. With that being said, he approached the vamp and picked it up by the throat. The bullets it had in it's shoulder and leg would keep it imobile for the most part, and that was exactly what he wanted.
Brock then held his victim against the wall, grabbed one of it's arms, then ripped it free. The vamp hissed in pain and Brock tossed the arm out of the alleyway. He let his claws dig deep into the skin, and he could feel the blood going down his arm. Now wanted a taste of this blood for himself, Brock grabbed the vampire by the shoulders and locked his jaws around it's neck. He tore out a large chunk, then chewed it up and swallowed. With his victim nearly finished, Brock mearly grabbed the head and twisted it around.
A sickening snap was heard, and he dropped the body to the ground. It was then that he shifted back to his wolf form, and odd enough, he was still pretty much clothed. His pants were torn up pretty good, but it was better than being naked. Without looking at the girl, Brock picked his shirt up and put it back on. Hopefully that calming wave he sent the girl's way had worked....

Ameena would have cried out in fear had it not been for a strange...calmness that swept through her body. Ever had that melting feeling whenever you stepped into warm water? That's exactly how this felt. Despite all the bloodshed and the horrific sounds...she was calm as calm could be. Though, in a sense, she looked a little off. No. Very off.
Once the whole situation was ended, she finally snapped out of it. What...what on earth happened? The terrified female placed her fists over her mouth, bright blue eyes darting around, taking in the gruesome, bloody scene! What...? How...? Did he just...?
Ameena looked at Brock, eyes widened, breathing pace picking up. Uh oh. She was starting to have a panic attack. Arms wrapped around her knees, twitching, as she rocked back and forth, muttering under her breath. Only a few words could be heard, "Bad...not good...no..."

Brock haden't meant for the human girl to snap out that calm feeling so quickly, but some how, she did. When he saw her, she had her arms wrapped around her knees and she was rocking back and forth. He sent another wave towards her, but because he had just sent one moments ago, this one wasen't as strong. As a werewolf, Brock would usually use this strategy to make his kill easier, yet he also used it for good to help others.
Brock then made his way up to her and sat down at her side. He didn't want her seeing anymore of this mess that he had caused, and he had to try and lead her out of the alley. With that, he used his abbility to calm once again and quietly shushed her. His arm went around her shoulders, and now Brock himself was questioning why he was being so nice. It was rare for him to treat someone he didn't know in this kind of way, but it just felt like the right thing to do at the moment.

That feeling washed over her once more, but this time she pushed it away. What if something bad happens if she's calm again? What if...what if...Ameena was lead out of the alley with Brock, her fists still over her mouth, tears streaming down her face. So vampires were real? Werewolves were real? This was all real? Oh no! No! And it was nighttime too! She HAD to get home! What if he isn't going to help? No. He cannot be trusted! NO ONE CAN BE TRUSTED!
And so it started again. Ameena broke off into a mad dash towards the nearest street. I'm sure by now anyone would be irritated with her behavior but she can't help it! She was as timid and frightened as a rabbit all alone in the world, surrounded by predators, waiting to strike. Wait a second...she recognized this area! Her apartment wasn't too far away!
A sense of relief filled her as she crossed the familiar street, heading down towards the nearby apartment complex. There it was. Oh thank God! Thank God! She was home!

When the girl took off, Brock let out a sigh. She was indeed hard to deal with and he still felt as if he needed to help her. With that, he stood up and walked to the end of the alley. Brock didn't want to seem like some crazy ass stalker, so he stood his ground and let her run off. It was then that he sensed that she was relieved, and that brought a small smile to his face. Finally, she was happy for the night.
He could still see her some distance away, but Brock was hidden in the shadows. If she had found her way home, he'd simply walk off and call it a night. Yet if something were to happen again, he'd be there to help. Things were working oddly for Brock tonight, even his beast had been calmer than usual, despite the killing it had just made. Whatever it was though, he didn't mind letting this helpfulness take over him for the night.
