Linx steps out of the forest, standing before the large abode before him. The home of his apparent enemy, whom he'd gone to great lengths to arrange a meeting. For some reason he couldn't place, he felt ill at ease, and a sense of anger and hatred. Must be something that he couldn't remember because of the amnesia. He shrugs it away, striding forward. He strides past the door guards, side stepping into a security check point. He ignores the menacing glares, shrugging out of his harness, leaving his guns and swords behind him in the room, removing the various explosives and throwing weapons from his pants as he sets it on the table. He then slides some knives from his boots, holding his arms up while he's patted down.
"He's clean." the door guard says with a grunt, waving him past. He didn't hold grudges against his host, it was understandable, and were the roles reversed, he'd do the same. It's what men like them did. He steps into the waiting room, waving away the attendant before he could speak, "Don't waste my time with pawns like you, tell Shadows I'm here." he says dismissively, dropping into a seat, crossing his leg and waiting. He was wearing his normal outfit, a dark turtleneck that usually had the y-strap over it, dark cargo jeans and combat boots. He was wearing shooting gloves, leather with his index finger cut away, and one finger was currently tapping against his cheek. His silver hair remained bright as always, though his silver eyes were glazed.
He knew he'd have to tread carefully, one wrong word could probably get him killed. He was a little worried, but not overly so. He'd walk out of here alive, he was sure of it. He felt confident about that, from what little he could gather about Shadows character. He seemed the man that preffered an interesting kill, not one delivered to him to just kill easily. He had a sense of honor, warped though it may be. He shrugs his thoughts away again, waiting patiently as he stills his body, his eyes staring off into nothing, his mind turning over what he'd say, and the possibilities of what could come, and the hopeful outcomes that he wanted.

Shadows snarled as he tossed the lesser vampire into the wall and was suddenly on him. Ripping the vampires arms off he skid backwards avoiding the impure blood. With an echoeing growl he shoved the males arms into his chest. Leaning in his fangs were extended as he whisered. "Fail me again and I'll do much more than this." Suddenly the doors opened. Shadows dropped the male and turned facing his servant. "What?" The female bowed low. "My Lord, a man by the name of Linx is here." Shadows turned from her and slid into his massive seat." Bring him to me." The servant nodded and walked from the room.
The servant appeared beside Linx. "Please follow me." Leading Linx down a hall and to a set of large doors she stopped. Turning to Linx she smiled. "He awaits you inside." Turning he walked away. Shadows sat cross legged on his seat in leather pants anf a small vest, Crimson eyes starred at him. "Linx, why do you come to me now. I've heard you remember nothing." Shadows slid from the seat. "Why have you come here?"

Linx shrugs as he enters the room. "I come mostly cause I feel like it. And a couple dead agents of yours let your name slip, I wasn't happy about being tortured and threatened to be drug to someone I don't know." he says, leaning against the wall, crossing his arms, his eyes staring at the man. He remains silent for a few moments, before speaking again, "I want to know what I did to piss you off in the past, and why you think that is, that's the main reason I came, and to see if we could come to an understanding to clear up any miscommunications that may rest between us." he says, going right to the point.
"Oh, and yes, you heard right. I have amnesia, got it twenty years ago when a plane I was on was shot down by hunters. I don't remember anything except fleeing from the mercenary group I used to work for. If you care to fill anything in, it'd be appreciated." he says, tossing out the last part as if it didn't concern him, which it didn't. "Scarlet's been kind enough to fill in some of the gaps, so I'm really not too concerned. To be honest, I don't want to be who I was. I've lived my life differently these past twenty years apparently, and I don't particularly think I'd be suited for anything but combat. So my past is of no concern, except when misunderstandings like this happen." he says with another shrug. "If you have anything else you'd like me to clarify, feel free to ask, I don't seem to have any reason for lying to you, you've been gracious enough to grant me this meeting, it's the least I owe you." he says with another shrug.

Shadows was silent as Linx spoke. Sliding from his seat he paced back and forth slowly. "If you remember nothing then I have no grudge against you. It was a small misunderstanding that came to an end when the old you died." SHadows turned to face the new linx this time a thought bringing his eyes to Linx's. Appearing suddenly infront of Linx his eyes skimmed the man and then an eyebrow raised.
"You can learn many things from me linx, many things and much money. I'm in need of a militaristic leader. If you are looking for a job where you get much freedom and evern more qualms then I have a position." Shadows turned and threw a knife. The knife stuck into a map over vice city. "I need warriors who can help me aquire that little piece of real estate. So, looking for a job?"

Linx looks at the map, something niggling at his memory, but he brushed it away, as a person would a pesky fly. "Seems easy enough to conquer, what's the catch? Overrun with immortals?" he asks with a short laugh, "Fragile enough at a young age, easy to kill, cocky, arrogant." he says with a shrug. "Always feel superior to everyone around them, use it to your advantage." he continues, talking as much to himself as Shadows, before shaking his head. "Sorry, lot of time spent alone in the past twenty years." he says with another half hearted shrug. "Job? Maybe, I'd only have one condition: Let Scarlet be free. Well, more of a request really. I'll take the job, it's what I do afterall. I'll just ask that you let her go, either from your organization altogether, or just free leave to see me as she pleases, I don't particularly care." he says with a shrug. He cared about her, and if working for Shadows could get her free, he'd do it gladly, even if that freedom was only a slight amount, it was better than nothing.
He takes another look at the map, scanning everything over. "Again, seems easy enough. I don't specialize in urban warfare, but I've had enough training in it, and killing immortals is easy, as long as you think on your feet and fight on the ground of your choosing. I'd need minimal supplies for my own person, just some rations, access to a full working garage to tune my vehicle, and another seperate workshop so I can tune my equipment. Free reign to do what I need with exceptions to the people working for you and those you want alive of course." he says distractedly, not paying much attention to his new employer. He traces fingers lightly across the streets, his mind forming plans as he took in the layout. He scans it for a few more moments, before looking at him again.
"In hostile hands? Shadow war or outright conflict? I can work with either, I just prefer to know what type of plans I'm making." he says with a shrug. "Hmm...either way..."he murmurs, looking over it. "Get me some workers in the city, carve out a command center for me beneath the streets, nothing from preexisting tunnels on current maps, have them dig through the older sections of the city, in the remote areas, I don't care about the exact location. I can be on site in a month at the latest, I have some other matters to attend before I can be there. I could probably have it for you in..." he does some calculations, "Two years absolute max. That's assuming everything that I need to happen goes wrong. Should all go right in a shadow war, I'd have it within the month, open conflict within half a year I think. Depends on how heavy resistance is." he says with a cold smile. "As you may or may not know, I was trained as a stealth operative, a sleeper agent mostly. Infiltrate, assassinate and leave. Sniping, explosives, house calls, I can do whatever you need." he says, looking at him again, waiting for his response.

Shadows listened to linx speak and was happy to hear someone else speak tactically besides himself for once. When Linx mentioned freeing Scarlett Shadows went rigid and a smirk crossed his face. "If that's your reason here then you've been wasting your time. I have no need to lose one of my most faithful, loyal people." Shadows snarled as he walked back over to his seat. Turning his dark eyes back to linx a fierceness was in them that was never seen before.
"Some requests are bound to fail, that was one of them." Turning towards the map Shadows ripped out his 55 mm and fired twelve rounds into the area his knife hit. Every round fell into a 2 cm diameter, they all appeared to be only one round within the map. Glancing back at Linx Shadows snarled. "I can take it easily without you, I was merely recruiting to make it even easier." Shadows closed his eyes as he tried to reign in his anger. "If that's all then begone."

Linx looks at the map, before looking at him and raising a brow. "No need to shout, a simple no would have sufficed. At least grant her the leniency to see me as we please, as long as it doesn't interfere with any assignments you've given us of course. If she's such a loyal member, and as a new recruit myself, I see no harm in it myself." he says with a shrug, reaching over to tug the knife out of the wood, twirling it through his fingers boredly, returning to leaning against the wall, watching the Shadows. He wasn't afraid, why should he be? He wouldn't throw away an asset like him, and he admittedly was, having devoted more years to warfare and espionage than almost any creature on earth, of that he was sure. "But yes, I suppose that shall be all then." he says with a shrug, not caring in the least if Shadows was angry, why should he run and hide because of what he'd said? That was stupidity, and no one could ever accuse him of that and be justified in it. "At least think over the request, it's not unreasonable, in return for the services of someone that can make your acquisitions that much easier and smoother." he says with a shrug.
He blinks once, "Oh, and before I forget, the war? Which is it? Shadow or overt? And will you agree to send the workers for me then? I'm sure you could take it yourself, but why bother? I can guarantee you have better things to do than take over a city, regardless of the reason why. If it was all important, you'd already be doing it yourself, so it can't be that. Just kick back, let me do my thing, and you'll get a report on the progress made within a month. I'll send you monthly reports on what's been happening, and the acquisitions made within the city, and I'll try to keep it as intact as possible I suppose." he says with a shrug. "Though I was never very good at subtleties, I prefer the big explosions and such." he says with a grin.
He looks at Shadows again. "Oh, and will you be providing transport to ground zero, or shall I find my own way? Either are fine, but if you provide transport, it'll have to be able to accomodate my bike." he says with a shrug. "So, final verdict and my requests for your job? And then if you're willing, an answer on Scarlet's leave to be with me when we want, for as long as we want, barring your orders for us. If you're going to deliberate on that one, go ahead and give me a call when you decide, whenever you give me the answer is fine, I don't particularly care." he says with a shrug, flicking a card onto the table with his number on it. "Oh, and I supose I should apologize for your agents I killed. I probably won't though. If they were too weak to defend themselves, why should they be in your organization afterall?" he asks with a cold smile, thinking fondly on the expressions on their faces as they watched their death stalk towards them.

Scarlet jogged along the halls of her home base, or that was what it seemed. Linx was here and he had obviously forgotten the deal. He would only go to see Shadows if she was with him. Silly boy, probably didnt remember. Her boots thumped along the floor before skidding to a stop before the door of Shadows main chamber. Gun shots came from inside, making her heart thump loudly. With her hair pulled up high and away from her neck, her shirt revealing her tattoo and her skirt high on her leg she opened the door softly, her presence was known none the less. "Pardon my interruption Shadows." Her gentle voice was clear cut, yet too sweet. "Someone..." her eyes flicked to the silvered hair boy. "Forgot to invite me like he promised." She was walking forward, her hand touching Linx's shoulder and kissing his cheek before sitting at Shadows feet. Sadly, master came first, she could only hope Linx understood that.
"Have i missed much? I hope not, but its nice to see neither of you are bloody and no one is dying." She smiled dazzlingly at Shadows, showing her thanks. "Again im sorry for bothering you." her head rested agaisnt his leg, a few strands of crimson hair draping across it. "And Linx, I've missed you." Her voice was thick with the love she felt for him, almost sickeningly so. Scarlets bright eyes sparkled when they met Linx's, her mind drifting out to touch Linx's with a soft caress. "My two favorite men in the same room and seeming to get along, such a dream come true." She fell silent then, letting the two men go back to whatever they were bickering about.

Shadows smiled, his hand going and resting gently on Scarlett's shoulder. "Not to worry my pet, you may be present anytime I am here." Shadows crimson eyes moved towards Linx and stayed there. "You're my favorite pet, though you are my only pet, since Aiden has disappeared for now. I'm sure she'll be back. yet I'm also sure she'll return. Yet I preffer your company, it's less........complicated." Shadows fingers traced lightely over Scarlett's collar bone.
Summoning his will again Shadows power hammered through the room, the very environment seeming to bow to his will as the candles flickered brighter. Turning his gaze onto Linx his eyes were slightely narrowed. "You misjudge my allowing you to leave here with your life as a given. DO not confuse a gift with what you feel is merely a must. The only reason you're still in moving condition is because I do not wish to upset my Crimson Butterfly." Shadows lifted a piece of her hair as he stood. "This discussion has passed your bounds as a rogue with no land and no standing to hold council with me. I would use your assistance but Scarlett will remain mine, I will not lose her and I have no reason to grant you any leeway, please leave peacefully." Shadows slid back into his seat as the doors opened.

Linx shrugs, "Hmm, tyranny, interesting choice, I must admit. But no matter, I suppose my only option is to prove my worth and earn the right." he says absently, tossing the knife back onto the table. "Knife's not balanced properly, a few grams too heavy on the back end." he says with a shrug, turning away. "I'll post-pone my personal matters then until this issue with the city is resolved." he says over his shoulder, "Oh, and don't bother threatening to kill me. Either do it or don't, I couldn't care less." he says with a shrug, aware that he was probably pressing his bounds. He didn't care, if Shadows tried to kill him, they'd all end up dead anyway, he always had contingency plans available, and not all weapons were solid and noticeable. "And I don't believe I'm a 'rogue' any more, if I've been taken in. Or is this an initiation of sorts? Oh well, again, it's no matter." He pauses for a moment, thinking.
"Hmm, I see that you've yet to answer my question about giving me the aid I require to make this run smoothly, or what type of take over you want. I'm extended my predictated time frame to a year minimum, but still two years max. If I have to do it alone, then I'm going to make sure it gets done right, and I probably won't have much time to plan if I'm working alone, everyone will be trying to kill me I'm sure. But hey, what else is new?" he asks with a bitter laugh, walking through the door. He didn't bother paying attention to Scarlet, his mind was too occupied over the coming assault. It would be a simple matter really, the sort of thing he was good at. "Au revoir Shadows, Scarlet." he tosses over his shoulder, "You'll hear from me in a month I suppose." he says lightly, exiting the compound, buckling on his weapons again.
He sighs as he slides onto his bike waiting for him just past the exit, sighing lightly. "Ah the arrogance of age. Oh well, should be interesting." he says with a half smile, kick starting the engine, spinning the bike around to face away from the building. He revs the throttle once, looking back, more than a little sickened by the sight of Scarlet playing the part of the dog for Shadows. He shakes his head, "The least she could do is have some self respect." he mutters with a sigh, not bothered in the least though. Why should he care? He was totally different than he once was. Once, that would have upset him, made him angry, but now, he was only a professional, and his constant motto was, 'Why should he care?' the most common answer? He shouldn't. With another ev of the engine, he was speeding away into the night, already turning over his plans for the city.
(Exit)
