New Suggested way to pick leaders

This is a general request for the leaders of each species to be chosen in certain ways, as opposed to people just self proclaiming their leadership, for no one follows them and it renders the whole thing pointless. Please vote for which you'd like, and sign the thread to show you agree with the idea.

EDIT - Suggested by Vicious, each area (North America, Europe etc) have a male and female leader of each species

I think it would be a good idea, to do such. Only problem is people would complain if they might not win since everyone likes to think they have something over others. No offense to anyone, its just in human nature to want to be better than the average joe smoe ^.^;

I beleive that we should make it a bit real and have the alpha position fought for. And each place like, North America, New York, Asia, Europe, and stuff like that get's one alpha male and female for each speices.

I like the thought, but I think it should be both vote and fight. The initial leaders should be voted upon, then subsequent leaders can challenge the current holders for the position, as they probably would in an actual situation. Or each species can have it's own set up of leaders, Panels, Alphas, Royalty, whatever.

I like the Idea of different Set ups of leaders that Linx suggested. Like with Vampires and humans, you can have councils and stuff

1) This is complicated and will take time and effort and bother on the part of members and staff to implement.

2) Very few people actually care that much. My characters have a self-contained plot, and I couldn't give a fig who claims to be the Europe "alpha" or whatever, I'd ignore them. That's as an rp-er, not as staff.

3) No one else seems to follow the plots through of people being leaders. It'd be a waste of effort, methinks.

1) Everything seems to be bother to staff these days, hence why it's the members coming up with ideas.

2) seven people (when i posted this) have voted, that's at least half the people that actually actively rp on the site. Although the site says it has 140 odd members, in reality there's about 10-20 people that play it properly.

3) No one follows the current system, you're right, but that's exactly why we put forward this new one

Honestly I think it would give each nation etc a centralized plot and each group something to aim for. Of course there will be those who powerplay or try to god mod so I think in the Rp battles it would only be fair to get a non-partial person to Ref the fight etc. While it might be a bother to some, it is a truly good Idea as I can see the site is becoming a little less active then it used to be on many accounts.

The only problem is that there are some who believe that they are the strongest characters no matter what. So each person has to be willing to lose when entering a fight and not try to dodge everything another person throws at them.

I'm gonna have to agree with LT on this. I don't like the idea and not very many people can get on because of life problems and other things. So I'm gonna say no to this. People don't follow the plot as it is. So how is someone going to follow this? I don't know, but I don't want to find out how you guys will deal with this.

There is no centralized plot. When they first started taking leaders, their should have been a plot formed of some kind. Granted people do not have a lot of time to get on, this being said we are not punishing those people but are trying to make things more fun for people who actively rp here. It gives a centralized idea so that people have something to form plots around.
