I tried to start my laptop a few minutes ago but all I got was a black screen. Black screen. I know my laptop is old but only two years. Realization hasn't sunk in yet and the darkness of my laptop hasn't sunk in which means I haven't realized I've lost two years worth of files, artwork, bio's, graphics, backgrounds, stories, story ideas, and alot of junk I've also accumulated over the years yet. When I do realize my laptop is gone, perhaps after I sleep, then it is best to take two steps back from me and hold your breath. I find using a computer a wee bit awkward, I miss angling my screen and such. Oh the joys of new laptop hunting....

^ Same here. I've had a computer go out on me, and I have a feeling that my laptop is going to bite the dust soon. Such is why I'm backing up everything I have on it to a flash drive and then onto another computer we have.

I feel your pain. Repeated BSoD and the ministrations of "technicians" managed to wipe mine about a year ago.

I feel everyone's pain... and then the pain sorta went away....
I found out at like 1 am-ish, that all my computer has is a dying blacklight. My friend told me to move the screen up and down and when I move the screen towards me I can see, well, no I can't see cause it's at a bad angle but it's still there.
I ish going to get the screen replaced soon and then back up all my files.
I shall only be able to get online at the library, my story is very embarrassing with the parents and the typing of passwords and how they hate the internet and such.. -dies-
