On a night like any other in the streets of New York City, Eve had gone out for a ride. She could tell by her brother's recent absences from her presence, that he was adjusting to the city well enough, but she seemed to be having some difficulty with it. Every time she hit a main street, the bright lights and traffic jams reminded her more and more of Vegas, and the reasons they had left that god forsaken place. She pulled over in an alley deciding that her train of thaoughts were not putting her in a good mental state to be driving.
So she climbed off her suzuki, pissed off and bored out of her mind, with absolutely no purpose in mind. The air was a little cold, but like other shapeshifters, Eve's internal temperature was high enough that she didn't actually need the leather jacket that she wore. But she was a vain creature sometimes, and wore it for the look, which was rounded off nicely by a pair of tight dark jeans with spike healed boots, and only a cropped tank top under the jacket.
Not liking to stand still like an idiot, Eve started walking down the street. She contemplated various bars and clubs along the street, but didn't set them as a destination in her mind. A few people stared as she went, holding her motorcycle helmet in her left hand and smoking a cigarette with the other. It was a nasty habit, but it sure as hell beat drinking herself stupid like she used to. Eve continued to walk at a slow pace, waiting for something, anything, to catch her attention.

Vincent sighs as he drops from a rooftop into a back alley, stretching his six foot two frame, yawning lightly. "Damn early nights, I hate when I can't sleep in." he grumbles to himself, stepping out onto the streets, more than a few pairs of eyes going wide at the sight of him. With bronze skin, a tight leather outfit, raven black hair and brilliant crimson eyes, he made quite a sight, especially moving silently out of a dark alley. A few people skittered away from him, crossing the street before continuing along, eyes still drawn to him.His leather clothing was unusual, especially with the wind so chill. He wore tight leather pants, with knee high leather boots, a leather chest piece that left his stomach and shoulders bare, revealing the tanned skin covering the hard muscles beneath, and leather vambraces from his palms to elbows. His raven black hair hung loosely around his head, and his crimson eyes swept the street in boredom.
"Humans are so boring sometimes..." he mutters to himself, walking slowly along the streets, the bright lights making seem like day. "Reminds me of Vegas, now that was a city..." he mumbles to himself, thinking fondly of the one and only sin city. He'd had many a fun night there! Bright lights, vibrant noise, friendly (for the most part) people, ah humans at their finest! They did create some useful things in their finite years afterall, despite what other immortals might say. He cracks his neck, yawning again, before weaving his way towards a small store, exiting after but a few moments, a cold pepsi in his hands. He takes a swig, and sighs, shaking his head. "Ah, humans and their creations!" he exudes with a laugh, catching a few people off guard, letting them recoil instinctively. He waves cheerfully at them before continuing down, his nose catching a peculiar, but not unknown scent.
He stops, blinking twice, sniffing the air. "A lycan? Hmm...what type? Not wolf..." he mutters, more curious than blood thirsty. Unlike some people, he didn't hold irrational prejudices against other races for existing or things they did to others of his race. More often than not, he enjoyed it, it was entertaining, and vampires were often stuffy and self important anyways. They could use a good beating now and then. He continues jauntily on his way, following the scent with a smile on his face, a sparkle in his eyes, wondering where the encounter could lead him. A friend? An enemy? A one night lover? Who knew, who cared, either way, he was sure that it was bound to be interesting. Now hopefully they didn't irrationally hate and want to kill him. That did tend to ruin a first meeting...

Eve had slowed her pace after a moment, when she noticed that someone was following her. And he was big. Her shoulder muscles tensed as she kept walking, trying to make herself think calmly. As much as she tried to tell herself that this was not the strip, and she was not in Vegas, her mind still raced. She had to decide to either turn around and face him, or keep going and hope he didn't face her. She went with the former, knowing that it would be better for her if she had at least some semblance of control over the situation.
As she turned, Eve's bright orange eyes, proof that she spent a little to much time as a leopard, traveled up a few inches higher than she was used to looking. Even at 5'9, he was a lot taller than her. Eve had a distaste for men in particular, so her pissed off mood showed slightly as she looked at him. "You've been following me for a little while? Who are you and what do you want?" She wasn't one to put up with any shit, even when she was intimidated or upset. Eve had learned early in her life to demand whatever amount of respect she could get from people given the situation she had been in.
Since her time in Vegas, her and her twin had adopted and anti authority attitude as well. Which was why she wasn't off making nice with allt he other were leaopards in town. But a vampire? For she could tell now that was what this male was. She hadn't expected to be followed down a street in New York by a vampire at any point. that was more Gabriel's thing.

Vincent stops in suprise as the woman in front of him turned and demanded answers of him. "No I haven't!" he objects immediately. "I was following..." he stops, "Oh. I guess I have, I'm sorry." he says with an apologetic smile. "I was curious as to the scent, I'd never encountered it before and was trying to figure out where it went, I never realised it went to someone still out on the street." he explains. "Had I known it was you that were the source, I'd have said something before." he says, hoping she'd accept his explanation. "My name's Vincent, vampire." he says, holding his hand out to her, smiling at her. "You look great, by the way." he says with a wink, his natural tendencies taking over. He couldn't help but compliment the pretty women, they were, alas, his one weakness.
"Can I make it up to you? Dinner or something, my treat." he says with a friendly smile. "I feel bad about it, to be honest with you, I don't want you to think I'm a stalker or something, or a vampire out to drain you. It was coincidence and accident, I swear, and again, I'm really sorry." he says with a small smile. "Your eyes are beautiful by the way, I've never seen anything like it before." he says with a smile, winking at her. "So how bout it, willing to let me make it up? I'll do anything it takes." he promises with a grin. Hopefully she'd accept, he felt terrible about doing that, only furthering the stereotype of his species. He let his crimson eyes scan over her body, taking it in appreciatively, still smiling at her. She was attractive, that was for sure, but he doubted she'd appreciate a play at her, somehow, she didn't seem the type to take to it friendly.
He waits patiently for her answer, his arms folded across his chest, remaining unthreatening to her. A chill wind blows his black hair in front of his eyes, a few strands obscuring his crimson eyes. He brushes them away, smiling lightly, rolling his eyes lightly. "Damn hair, never wants to cooperate." he says with a smile at her, wondering if his natural tendency for childishness and playfullness would sway her over to his side, as it had others. He was completely unlike almost every vampire. Old, powerful, but with no will to use it. He wasn't stuck up, self-absorbed or anything like most. He preffered to hang out and have fun, and half the time he never even used his power, preffering to just kick back and relax, after centuries of fighting anyways. He turns his attention from his hair, to his new acquaintance, waiting for her response.

Eve's eyes were narrowed as the stranger babbled a little, trying to explain himself to her. She looked at his hand but didn't really want to shake it. she didn't trust him. Sighing, she shook his hand very briefly and then crossed her arms, holding her helmet still in her left hand. Under normal circumstances, eve would never flirt with a man. She didn't like men, with the exception of her twin, but she smiled slightly, deciding to add a little bitchyness from her agression in to the mix. "You winked at me? Seriously? Is that the best you got? I mean I'm glad for the compliment, but really. You should work on your technique."
And now he was offering her dinner? Well...she paused for a minute, trying to decide if she should accept. She was hungry though.....and it would be a free meal.....she shrugged. "I guess dinner wouldn't hurt, but i swear if all I get out of you are cheesy compliments and attempts to get into my pants, I'll leave." Eve was attractive and she knew it. It was actually something she resented very much. Nothing had caused her more trouble in her life than her face and her body.
Eve sighed. Well at least he didn't look anything like the people in Vegas that she had known. Her years in the pack under her father had burned images of evil men into her memories for far too long. "Well Vincent, vampire, my name is Eve. I'm sort of new around here, and not really liking it so far. But I suppose you'll do for entertainment for the night." She wondered what he could possibly show her that she hadn't seen before, but she was willing to at least see what he knew about the city.

Vincent laughs, "Not the one for the compliments then? Alright, most immortals don't seem to mind. And you'll have to excuse me this one correction, I don't flirt to get someone to have sex with me, it's just fun." he says with a shrug. "So not liking the city? Can't say as I do myself, just big, lots of freedom to roam, and every now and then you can stumble across something good. The only reason I stick around here instead of travelling is cause you meet some interesting people." he says with a smile. He starts walking with her down the street, looking around, scrutinizing the buildings, "Hmm, so what do you want to eat? Different places do different things, or specialize really, so I'd like to take you someplace that does what you like pretty good." he says with another smile.
"Oh, and I feel I should ask, how classy do you want it to be? I'm fine with anything, just some people are uncomfortable with the inevitable stares. We'd probably stick out in a high class joint." he says with a laugh, he knew he would. Tight fitting leathers, six foot two, and very jovial, yeah, he NEVER attracted attention. He stretches his arms back, a wave of pops rolling down his spine, and he rolls his neck, cracking it as well. "Forgive me, I'm sorta just getting up." he says with a smile. He watches her for a moment, "You know, you don't have to go. You seem pretty reluctant. I'm not going to force you into anything, or try and guilt you into something." he says, pausing for a moment, "Which even then I doubt would work. You're too much the...strong and independent type I suppose." he says with a shrug. He didn't exactly want her to feel obligated or unhappy to accompany him, he was someone that just wanted to satisfy others, even at the expense of his own happiness.
"So Eve, tell me now if you don't want to go, and I'll head off and leave you be." he says with a friendly smile, trying to show he wasn't upset or anything. He was fine with rejection, unlike some people he'd met. It wasn't his fault their girlfriends happened to like the vampire more, he was just magnetic that way. He was hoping that she'd accompany him of her own free will, and be slightly enthusiastic about it, but his expectations weren't high. Most of another species hated any species but their own. Lycans hated vampires, and now apparently there are sub species of lycan he'd never encountered before. He vaguely wondered if they stuck to their own species, as xenophobic as others, or if they considered themselves among the lycans as a whole. It would be interesting to investigate at a later date, but he'd probably never get around to it, it was all subjective anyways.

Eve was slightly torn. Yes, she was reluctant to do anything with this male. She was always reluctant to do anything with any male. The only person in the world that she trusted was her twin. But at the same time, Eve knew that if she didn't do something to change her weakness, a weakness that she hid well, she would loose her brother to his desire for her to be normal. So eve would try, as hard as she could, to play normal tonight. Even though her heart was beating slightly fast from something very close to fear, she would try.
She turned to Vincent, her tough attitude back in place. "I'll go with you. I just have a bad history with men is all." That was the understatement of the year. "I avoid them at all costs usually. So feel lucky." At least her attitude was working to her advantage,. She wanted this male to think she was strong. she had to be strong, because she couldn't let anything like that happen to her again. But she wouldn't think about that tonight. This was Eve's test to herself. Could she handle her own life? She would see.
"I want sushii." She said without hesitation. Fish were always a cat's favorite thing to eat, she might as well go with it. "And I really don't like high class places. I don't like it when people look at me." That much at least, was true. She would go eat with this male. Eve would see if, by spending a few hours with this male, she could ever handle interacting with people on a regular basis. It would be a challenge, but it was one she had to face.

Vincent smiles lightly, "Oh yeah, guys are a problem all right. I can relate on that!" he says with a laugh. "Sushi huh? Alright, I haven't had that in awhile, sounds good!" he says with a grin, chewing his lip thoughtfully. "Hmm...no where did they sell sushi around here?" he asks himself with a laugh. "I don't get it often, mainly burgers and pizza. Hmm...oh yeah, I know the place now!" he says with enthusiasm. He leads her down the street, "It's not really classy, but it serves good food if I remember right. It's an authentic joint, so I find it kinda cool." he says with a smile. "Just ignore me if I babble on, I'm big into cultures and customs, one of my favourite things about being immortal is the fact that I can observe them as they grow." he says with a smile.
The place was a few blocks away, so it wasn't that far of a walk, and the brisk night air was invigorating. "But I suppose I'll feel honored," he says with a smile, "And if I start to bug you, just let me know. I prefer not to alienate people or make enemies." he says lightly, "I much prefer to have friends, especially immortal ones. Centuries of wandering can make you quite lonely." he says with a shrug. After a few minutes of walking, he holds open the door to the restaurant for her, following her in. He chats with the waiter for a moment, before shrugging, leading her to an out of the way table. "Sorry, best I could get, at least your sheltered from most stares, and I'll let you put your back to the wall, and put my bulk to some use." he says with a grin, sliding in to hide her fully from the rest of the clientele. "Order whatever you want, I'll just copy it I 'spose." he says with a smile, "I admittedly know next to nothing about what's good in the terms of raw fish." he says with a smile.
He shrugs after a moment, "I do know that sake is delicious though." he says with a laugh. "I spent alot of time in Japan, and my old mentor was found of drinking it on occasion and would have me drink with him." he says with a whimsical smile, thinking back on those old days with his master. He turns his attention back to the present, smiling at her, "Sorry, those were some good times, hard to avoid going back." he says with a shrug. He smiles suddenly, laughing, "I'm sorry, I'm sure I'm annoying you. Feel free to ask any questions you want, I'll answer of course, it's the least I can do to repay your kindness for accompanying me." he says with a smile.

Eve didn't think it was possible for anyone to have as much of a problem as she did with males. Years of repeated abuse sort of tainted someone forever. "Burgers and pizza, that sounds like a typical diet around here." Eve muttered as they passed multiple places for exactly those types of food. But she got so bored of the same food all the time. As they walked to the restaurant, Eve didn't say anything about wether he was bothering her or not. The truth was, Eve was bothered by everyone, with one exception.
Her mistrust and lack of interest in others was a direct result of her father. But this was why she was even talking to this male vampire. She had to start acting a little more normal, she knew. She was glad to have her back to the wall when they sat down, but his big body made her feel caged in, and her pulse quickened a little bit. Eve bit her tongue and forced herself to concetrate on the menu. She took deep breaths, calming herself by force.
As the waiter came up, Eve was relieved to be distracted and placed her order of a rainbow roll, which gave a wide variety of flavors. But then she had to face the daunting task of conversation again. What was a normal question to ask somebody? Eve was socially inept and shook her head at herself. "Sorry I don't get out much. I really don't know what to talk about..." She shrugged, trying to come up with something, but all she knew about was Vegas, which she would not talk about, and her twin.

Vincent smiles lightly, "Yeah, but at least they taste good." he says with a laugh. "And don't worry about it, I talk too much anyways. It's something I've been trying to work on, but it's hard, after being alone for centuries. You tend to just open up, glad to have another person to talk to, no matter who it is." he says with a light smile. "Sorry, doing it again. Besides, I'm sure you don't care about some stupid sob story. Humans dig that kinda thing, you? Doubt it. More like the action constantly adrenaline fueled adventure type I bet." he says with a smile. He waited patiently for the waiter to return, instead glancing about the room, his crimson eyes sweeping in the clientelle. No one really interesting, not that he was concerned, stupid assassins just took too long sometimes. He sighs once, turning his eyes back to her, "Well, if you're trying to do normal conversation, just ask questions, that's usuall how it goes." he says with a smile.
"I'm sure you don't want to talk about yourself, so I'm more than willing to answer any questions you might have, the best I can anyways." he says with a grin, thinking of some questions he'd rather not answer, and questions he couldn't. Mostly big sciency ones, anything pertaining to him he could answer of course, not that he would. Everyone had their secrets afterall. "Unless you do want to talk about yourself of course," he continues past his own brief thoughts, "I'd be more than happy to listen, I hate being the only one talking." he says with a smile. He'd be more than happy to learn a little bit about her, he was always fond of learning more about the people he met, his one major hobby you could say. "If not, no worries. I won't push you, I'm not overly fond of forcing people to do things that they don't like afterall." he says with a shrug, smiling at the waiter as their food was delivered. he picks up a piece, chewing thoughtfully. "Hmm...pretty good, nice choice." he says with a smile, continuing to eat slowly, savouring it. It was out of the norm for him, and he doubted he'd remember to do it again any time soon, so he wanted to at least try and make it last.
After awhile, he cleans away the last if his food, taking a sip of his drink to wash it down, before sighing in contentment. "Mmm, that was great, I have to admit. It's been so long since I've done something like this, I really have to thank you. I'll have to remember to come back sometime, especially if the company is nearly half as enjoyable." he says with a smile, before laughing. "Dammit, sorry, I can't help myself sometimes." he says with a shrug. "So now what, shall we part ways for the evening? Or perhaps I can convince you to spend some more time, to desensitize you to the admittedly not so great wonders of the public world?" he asks with a grin, hoping she'd accept his offer. He could use a good friend, or at least someone to roam with, this night. He hated being alone all the time, it was pretty crappy, having only himself to talk to. People thought he was kinda crazy sometimes, but it was generally the only conversation he had anyways.

Eve listened with a mix of fear and wonder as the strange vampire rattled on about anything and everything. He had such an easy way of talking. Eve wondered if she would ever to be able to have a real conversation like that with someone. She wasn't big on opening up to anyone about herself, because her entire life was a sob story, or a trainwreck, depending on how you looked at it. And she didn't trust people to be genuine when they were talking to strangers. Although this one seemed to be honest. And friendly.
Eve shook her head. "I've had enough adrenaline in my system for about three lifetimes thanks, I'm more of a...hate to be in one place for too long, type." If that even made sense. She was going to have to practice this normal thing a little more. "I'm all about not forcing people to do things." She smirked, he had no idea how much she was against being forced into anything. She picked at the food, eating some of it slowly, and saving her favorite parts for last.
Eve didn't respond in any way to the compliment he gave her. She didn't really know how. If he had been one of the men from her past, she would have hissed and hid in the corner with her tail between her legs. She tried to remind herself that this man was attempting polite conversation. He was not a brutal demon out for one thing and one thing only. Eve took a deep breath, removing those thoughts from her head. She wanted out of this place, the boxed in feeling was growing."Uhm....yeah sure. I need some air." And space, she thought. Her beast inside was crouched, tense. No matter who she was around in public, if it wasn't her brother, Eve's beast was always ready to attack. She supposed pretending to be normal for a little while longer couldn't hurt. Besides, Gabriel was probably out still, taking his agression out on some female that would hurt him to kill his own pain. She hoped he would be careful, but she didn't want to sit around waiting for him to come back if he was going to be gone for a long time.

Vincent smiles lightly, " Sure, some air would be good I suppose." He drops his money on the table as a tip, and slides away, moving to pay their bill. He glanced once back at where they'd sat, checking to make sure that they hadn't left anything, before stepping out into the night air, sighing happily. "I gotta admit, being out in the open air is much better than being confined in a building, especially for a lycan I'd suppose." he says with a light smile at her. He rubs his hands on his face, before shaking his head, yawning lightly. "Ughh, good food always makes me feel a little tired." he says, sighing lightly. He stretches his arms above his head, his crimson eyes sweeping the street. What should they do? Wander around the streets? Or just part ways? Or find something to do? He was like her when it came to sitting in one place. He hated it, he wanted to be on the move or doing something. It didn't feel normal otherwise.
"So, what shall we do? Was there somewhere you'd like to go? Just wander around randomly and...eh, listen to me ramble on?" he had been planning on saying chatting, but she was mostly the silent type, so he'd had to change his sentence. Oh well, he wasn't bothered by it. She was a good companion. One that didn't expect much from him, that didn't constantly feel the need to sit and chat, or make eye contact. He preffered it that way, it was just more casual to him. He waits patiently, leaning against the wall, not caring one way or another. He was silent, for once, and the wind blew his hair lightly around his head, his crimson eyes staring off into space. He crosses his arms over his chest, turning his gaze back to her, "So, bored of me already? Or do you want to hang out, or shall we just seperate? It's all the same to me, and I don't really care much for making you feel uncomfortable." he says with a shrug, waiting for her to respond.
He wasn't too worried about being with someone actually. It would be nice, in truth, but it wouldn't bother him to be alone. He'd just wander the city again, watching people, probably find a bar to hole up in for awhile, then return to his room to sleep the day away, and repeat the process. He was more human than vampire really, with the same schedule day in and day out, nothing ever changed. He bends, stretching his arms back behind him, and over his body, his spine rolling with pops. He stands again, crossing his arms over his chest again, and crossing his ankles as he leaned against the building, his gaze roaming across the street, analyzing every pedestrian for no better reason than to occupy the time between his questions and her answers, assuming they were forth coming. She wasn't the most talkative, but that didn't bother him. She was...attractive, in more ways than one. Physically she was gorgeous, not that she even bothered to feign interest, which just made him that much more interested in her, and mentally she was an enigma, and completely different from any female that he'd ever met. Either way, she wasn't one he'd date. A friend perhaps, but she was just too...distant, for a relationship. That's the best way he could decribe it, to himself at least.

Eve followed Vincent out of the restaurant, scanning the people as they walked. That was the thing about Eve. she was alwasy on her gaurd. but due to year of abuse, she had to be that way. It was driven into her from the time she was old enough the be considered more than a girl. Her brother was the only one she let her gaurd down for. He was the only one that protected her.
Eve took her helmet and hooked it onto the belt at her hips. It dangled there, sticking out but normal to her, as she leaned with her back against the wall as well. She ran a thin, pale hand over her pale hair, brushing it out of her face into a messy array around her chin and neck. She took a deep breath, enjoying the space. "This is better, thanks. I jsut don't like being stuck in one place....trapped somewhere. It makes my skin crawl." Locked doors and chains on the walls flashed into her mind. "It's sort of a phobia of mine."
By the words her new companion were saying, and his posture, Eve could tell that she wasn't getting this 'normal' thing down very well. She knew her shoulders were probably too tense. Her eyes too narrow...maybe she was being too quiet. But that was a part of who she was. eve was trying to be normal though. She WANTED to be able to interact like a normal person. But one night wouldn't fix all of her problems. She turned bright orange eyes to Vincent. "I know I'm not really good at this....socailizing...thing. but I'm trying....I mean..." She shrugged. "I don't usually talk to anyone at all. Especially not males. So it's hard." But she had to do it. "We can go wherever you want. I really don't know this place well. I avoid cities most of the time." It was easier for someone to find you if you had a past in the city. Especially in the supernatural world.

Vincent shrugs, not particularly caring. "It's fine, I'm not concerned by the lack of conversation. And like I said, I can relate on the males part, most are quite irritating, and yes I count myself among them." he says with a smile. It was the truth as well, he counted himself as very annoying should he truly want to be. When she makes the comment about going where he wanted, he smiles lightly. "Really? Anywhere? Perfect..." He says with a grin, winking at her. "I know the perfect place, don't worry, it won't be too bad, or crowded." he says with a smile. He pushes off from the wall, leading her down the streets, towards a quieter area of the city, stopping before a large oaken double set of doors, smiling at her. He gives her a wink, before pushing open one of the doors, stepping in, closing it behind them.
"Welcome to one of my favourite places in the city, the cherry blossom gardens." he says with a smile, gesturing to the dirt path that led beneath the cherry blossoms. They were in full bloom in this carefully cultivated closed space. Only a few people were here, and he sighs lightly as he begins to wander his way down the path, seeking the deeper recesses of the gardens. "I come here when I need some good scenery and some peace from the bustle of the everyday crap." he says with a smile. He winds his way down the path, reaching a far secluded area, one that held a small pool of crystalline water, koi fish swiming around. He walks onto the bridge spanning the small pond, built in the old japanese style, and leaned on the rail, staring into the water, the stars still clear in the sky above the translucent dome.
"So, this fine? Or do you want to leave and find somewhere more open?' he asks with a smile. "I figured we could both enjoy this place. It's quiet, mostly open, few people. Peaceful, to sum it up in one word. More often than not, I can be found here when I'm in the city. I come here to read, think, nap, anything really." he says with a shrug, turning his eyes back to the water below. He was feeling somewhat pensive, happy to just think in silence, since talking seemed to bother her. He was fine in silence, he usually was here anyways, so it wasn't as though it was unusual to him. He shuts his eyes, breathing in the refreshing air, sighing happily, relaxing against the rail. "Whenever you're ready to go, just let me know. I thought you might like it here, if not then no worries." he says with a smile at her, before closing his eyes again, a whispy smile on his lips.
