Colin had mapped out this house perfectly. It was small, empty, cold, and moldy. It was perfect. Small, nothing on the floors, not to many doors. Except for one thing he did get. Someone was throwing out a perfectly good mattress. After his time out with Ginny he learned that sleeping on one of those was a lot better than sleeping on the ground. No blanket yet, he had to find a way to do that later. Right now, he was just happy to just have a roof over his head.
An abandoned building. So beautiful. There wasn’t the smell of another wolf around for the last five years, and humans thought the place was haunted. Superstitious fools. Laying on the mattress he let go of a relived sigh. A home, a real home. Maybe he could even try to get a job now, who knew?

Lucifer neared the building with his backpack slung over his shoulder and looking quite annoyed. More than anything, he was angry with himself for letting his friends talk him into this stupid dare. They had heard that the house was haunted and since Lucifer had dismissed it as idle gossip, he was dared to prove it and spend a night in the building. The spending the night there part was no problem, it was just, that he could think of so much better things to do than spend a night in an abandoned building. Hell, even if he stayed at home, he´d have more to do than at that place. But a dare was a dare and he sure as hell wasn´t going to back out. He highly doubted that there were any ghosts at the place. The worse that could happen would be a grumpy vampire who wanted to just be left alone or a were who had a taste for flesh. Lucifer wasn´t afraid, since humans tend to fear what they don´t know and Lucifer did know about the beings that lurked around in the dark.
Entering the building, he sighed as he looked around, not yet bothering with his flashlight since he could see well enough in the dark as not to fall on his face. His night vision wasn´t as good as that of a vampire or a were-animal, but it was quite goof for ´just´ a mortal. Upon looking around in the entry hall, Lucifer thought for a moment about what to do first, before he decided that looking around and making sure he was alone, was the priority. After that, if he was still alive and in one piece, he´d think about what to do next as not to die of boredom during the night. Maybe he´d make a change in his routine and actually sleep through the night if it got too boring. But first thing first. Switching on the flashlight to easier inspect the hidden corners, he took the first door since he had decided to search the house systematically.

Colin heard something. The door squeaked open… rusted hinges protesting as they were opened, into his house, his home. Someone had entered his house. Fear gripped him. Was it another wolf? What if it was a bigger wolf or another were, or even a vampire?! This place was safe, no one came here. But someone was here. What if they wanted the place, he couldn’t just give it up! But he couldn’t fight for it either. Colin didn’t fight. He did, only when necessary. He hated to fight, loathed it even. He was refusing to fight for this, no matter how much he wanted the place.
Scampering up from the mattress he rushed to the closet, closing the door almost all the way, leaving just a crack open to listen through. The smell of rotting wood and mildew over-rode his nose, making it impossible to smell the intruder. Blind eyes searched the darkness, waiting with thumping heart to find out what was going on.

Entering the first room, Lucifer looked around briefly, but found that even though he could see enough not to stumble over anything, he didn´t see enough. Noticing something on the floor, he turned on the flashlight and shined to the more or less angular shadow on the floor. Seeing that it was a mattress, Lucifer arched a brow and shined through the rest of the room slowly, carefully looking around. The mattress indicated that there was someone actually staying at the place, since it wasn´t covered with dust and thus seemed like it had been used recently. Now he was looking for any other indication that someone was staying at the house, at least every few nights, if not more often.
Lucifer found no other obvious sign pointing to the presence of another person. The only other noticeable thing in the room, beside the mattress, seemed to be a big closet. Not for the first time in his life, the dark haired man was annoyed at not having the enhanced senses that vampires and weres had. One of them would probably be able to tell at once if there was someone else in the room, just by sniffing at the air. But Lucifer had no such luck. Slowly going closer to the closet, he stepped a few feet away, not entirely sure if he should just open it and see if there was anyone or anything in it, or simply leave it. The problem was that with the possibility of someone else in the house the saying ´what he doesn´t know can´t hurt him´ didn´t at all apply. What he didn´t know could easily hurt him, especially if he just assumed that there was no one else there and went to sleep. Taking another few steps closer, he hesitantly reached out to the door of the closet and took hold of it, pulling it open and shining the flashlight inside.

Colin heard the door open, taking a step back to try and get further into the closet, only to find the back wall. He didn’t want to be found! Damnitall, why did they have to come to the one place with a door closed. Maybe they wouldn’t see him? That was always a hope. Nope, that didn’t work. He could feel the heat of light on his face. Blind eyes blinked, bright blue shining in the darkness.
“Don’t eat me?” Well, it was worth a try? He didn’t know what was going on, didn’t really care. He just wanted to make it out of here alive tonight. Funny, how someone with power like a werewolf was afraid of a human with a flashlight.

Lucifer jumped back, when the light of the flashlight actually illuminated a person in the closet. He hadn´t really expected to find anyone there. But he caught himself again quickly when the man didn´t move to attack him or anything similar. If he wasn´t as surprised, he might have noticed that even though the light was shining the man straight in the face, he made no move to shield his eyes, even though he´d been in the dark and his eyes should have been very sensitive to the light. Instead he lowered the flashlight as not to blind the other. For now, Lucifer only noticed how the eyes shone in the dark, but nothing other yet.
It was his turn to blink, dumbfolded, at the request. “Wha-… I don´t eat people,” he said after a few moments of silence while his mind tried to figure out if he had heard right. Looking to the floor to be sure not to trip over anything, he took a step to the side to give the other room to get out of the closet. “If this is your place… I´m sorry for intruding,” Lucifer said after it occurred to him, that he might have just found the ´ghost´ haunting the house and the person who used the mattress on the floor.

There is so much things for the handsome dark brown haired vampire, who had walked up near an abandoned building, to do, and well he couldn't think up a big one. However, the sight of the building had him smile. Ah perfect for to catch idiots who decided to venture into it alone. However, he shrugged. He had no care for stupid little mortals anyway but curiousity brought out the best into him and so he entered.
"Might've well," he said to himself. He placed his hand onto the knob and turned the knob, a creak came from the door itself. He slipped inside. Being around for 300 years, he noticed nothing has changed really except technology, and vehicles and of course the clothing. But back then, even throughout the centuries he lived in, there has been abandoned shacks, houses, buildings, even inns.
Yep to him that was heaven, an inn all to himself. Of course with the wealth he has he could buy one. Hm that's a thought. He head deeper into the house itself and heard two voices-men. Just my luck he thought to himself. Oh well let's see who is stupid enough to come into here. Well he will just see won't he?
When he had looked around he noticed there was only ONE bedroom in here, which is not far off from where the vampire is standing. Curiously, he headed up to that room and found a handsome black haired man with a flashlight in his hand standing in front of the closet, after Jonathan had opened the door. He had heard the other man's voice but where is he? He didn't care. Instead he snuck in the room quietly closing the door without a sound behind him. Well now its showtime for him!
