Lab Partner

Today I had the WORST lab partner ever! We were doing PH solutions in class and to be honest I didn't know what we were supposed to do. Anyways we finally got started and she's just being this big bitch. So I ended up running back and forth to get our different acid's like faux tears, milk, plasma, urine, lysol, etc... and then I had to measure them out, I had to pour them into the beaker and I had to place in the special paper, I had to use the value meter, I had to rinse them. Oh and I got bitched at when I didn't dry them. What was the point? They were rinsed and they were going to be filled with more acids. Then she kept asking me which colors were the paper strips. It's not that hard to match the colors, just choose one woman! So then after we finish Lab 1 we have to move on to Lab 2 which we are way, way, way behind in. I measured out the distilled water, NaOH and the phenol red which she couldn't do. Then she's like 'what color is that'? And I said 'purple'. Then one person was supposed to take a straw and blow into it, she wanted to do that. Fine. But she didn't even turn the purple color yellow like we were supposed to. And then she was supposed to go outside and run but she walked. I'm like whatever because I thought I'd go next so I mix up the lab ingredients again but it has got to be the same person so anyways she did it again but didn't walk. We were supposed to do it a third time but everyone else had left the classroom. Oh and once while I was rinsing something I left the faucet on for her, walked to our lab and then she walked away leaving the faucet on which I had to turn off when I got a napkin. Somehow we managed 5/5 points in our lab. I've got to re do everything at home now and fill in all the missed questions and do the lab right. I hope next Saturday's lab goes better. All in all considering we got 5/5 points on the lab I suppose it was alright for my first lab. However I'm not pairing up with her again. I had to email her all our findings because she didn't pay the 3 dollars to get the packet, she said someone told her that they didn't need it. How would they know? I just bought what the salesman at the school bookstore handed to me in a rapid hurry.

Oh and seriously, what's with all these young girls with babies? All the girls in my class besides this other girl and myself have children. They all looked my age or younger! Of course the two adults taking the class can have children but seriously, damn! I'm not saying you can't have children, it's not my place to judge anyone that does but it's just like 'wow'. I don't really think I could find anything in common with someone my age who has children.

And before the lab I was sitting on this bench when this guy comes up and asks me If he can sit down. I'm like okay. I really did not want to talk to him but he started up a conversation with me. It was probably one of the most awkward conversations I've ever had in my life. Whenever an ugly guy begins to talk to me and asks me if I have a boyfriend I either say I do or say that I'm not looking for one. I emphasized that I'm concentrating on my schoolwork like five times. Anyways I say I'm going to leave to go to my class and to be nice I ask him for his email address so I can add him to my facebook which we were talking about when he asked if I had a myspace. Anyways he goes on really quickly about a jealous girlfriend so he won't give me his email. So I'm like see you later, anything to get away from him. I wasn't going to add him anyways I just wanted to get rid of him. Oh I forgot to mention how he'd been talking the whole time. He had his hand like cupping his mouth so I couldn't see his lips (like maybe he had a deformity) and he'd been doing this like for an hour since we'd been talking for an hour. It was more like him talking and me staring at the campus and fiddling with my phone. Very odd. I'm going to ignore him if I see him on Saturday again, I do however want to meet up with these two girls I saw today in the same smokers area earlier.
