Nyshia, being of asian descent, often found herself walking through the mockery of the asian people, this mockery known as 'China Town'.
Her flat was a few blocks away from this vacinity and she often made it a point to walk down in the late sunset, all covered from head to toe in black. Sunglasses on, hooded jacket, long sleeved gloves, short black dress, long black tight pants, and nearly knee high black boots, with black tufted fur at the top, the one thing that made this look less like a scary and imposing female was the cat ears sown atop her hooded jacket.
She strode around, peeking through the dark glasses from the recesses of the shadowed hood and looked down at the goods in the outdoor vendor stalls. Gloved hands deftly running over different goods.
Today she was seeking out some silk kimonos and tunics that she enjoyed wearing around her flat. She had found just a few that she was vaguely interested in at one stall and was going through them trying to find certain patterns that fulfilled her aesthethic needs. Occaisionally bringing the silky or satin fabrics to the dark recesses of her hood and rubbing the bare skin on the fabric to feel it. Nodding in approval of a few of the items, three kimonos and two tunics, she paid the woman after haggling a little and walked off with a brown bag carrying her goods as she began looking more of the other stalls over.
She stopped at another vendor, ordering the original flavored ramune and a bowl of fried rice. Her small form sitting down at one of the small tables and chair set just before the vendor's stall. Her head lowered to look at the wood grain of the table she sat on, idly following the different lines and curves of the grain.

Fabian looked warily at the sky as he left his hotel, the sun still being visible as an orange glow on the edge of the clouds. He didn't seem to be burning though, so it seemed safe enough. Outside, Chinatown loomed new and interesting. He'd never visited this city before, so he felt the compelling urge to have a wander everywhere on offer, so why not start with what was on the hotel doorstep? Chinatown it was then. He could visit everywhere else tomorrow, after all. When he wandered in, he was assailed with unfamiliar sights and smells. His travels in his long life had never taken him to the East, and his knowledge and experience of China was limited to, and no further beyond, his local restaurant at home. Not exactly exotic. Maybe this would serve him better. But it just seemed... wrong... fake maybe. It was still interesting, undoubtedly, but everyone seemed to be trying just that bit too hard. Or maybe it was just his imagination. Even so, the stalls and shops intrigued him, and the smell of food to which he was unaccustomed lured him soon to a vendor with small tables and chairs outside. He ordered something he could barely pronounce and paid, before realising all the tables were already occupied. Damn. There was one, however, which still had seats free. It was occupied only by a suspiciously dressed woman with cat ears on her coat. How odd... how fascinating. He slipped on his suavest and most ingraciating smile and stood next to an empty chair. "Evening," he murmured, his accent unmistakeably English against the eclectic background of foreign and local. Sometimes, he couldn't help but stick out like a sore thumb with his voice. "Excuse me, miss, but do you mind terribly if I sit here?" He was all charm and apology, a perfect gentleman... even if he was a vampire. "I promise I won't be too much of a bother." Well... not unless you become too interesting to ignore, he added in his mind. He smiled hopefully, waiting for her answer.

Nyshia looked up from the woodgrain as the masculine voice spoke to her, a calculated expression on the shadowed features of her face as she looked him over for a moment. She shook her head lightly at his question.
"I don't mind at all, its a public seat, take your pick.." Her voice was soft and lilting as she spoke and her arm moved out expansively to the different chairs set about the table.
Then she heard the vendor call her number for her order and she gracefully stood and sauntered over to the vendor to collect a bowl of fried rice and a bottle of ramune. Paying the vendor a small fee, she then turned and came back to her previous seat, settling down and looking at the rice for a moment before she picked up the ramune bottle. She popped the top of the bottle and watched as the marble in the bottle settled in its new spot. The bottle raised to her lips and she took a sip with a soft smile as the bottle pulled away from her and set on the table.
Nyshia then proceeded to pull a pair of chopsticks from her jacket and eat the fried rice. Not that she needed to consume human food, but it reminded her of the days long past. She expertly dished herself a small load of rice and proceeded to eat, paying the male very little attention.

He shrugged and sat, leaning over the table to try to get a better look at her. Annoyingly, his attempt was interrupted as she left to fetch her food. When she returned, he rested his head on one hand, watching intently. For some reason, he got the impression she wasn't human. The full-body black clothing was certainly a hint, for sure. But there was something else... a suggestion in her movements that said vampire. He wasn't bothered if he was right or not, but it was always interesting to see. After having watched her for a few moments, his own number was called, and he returned to his seat holding a bowl of something unidentifiable. It seemed to taste alright, but he was having trouble with the chopsticks. He paused, looked at them with a frown and a glare, then dropped one onto the table and used the other to stab his food. Crude and faintly embarrassing, but effective. After he'd chomped his way through a third of the bowl, he turned his eyes back to the stranger. "I don't suppose you could show me how to use these blasted things, could you?" he asked, waving one chopstick in the direction of the other. "Never eaten Chinese before... wouldn't like to make a fool of myself and all..." He had no idea how he'd manage to eat rice with only one chopstick, certainly. "Please?" He smiled, his fangs clearly visible. If she was a vampire, no doubt she'd note that he was one too. Always best to make these things clear, he felt. Polite and all.

As they ate, the sun finally retreated from the sky, sinking low into the horizon so as not to be upon them anymore. Nyshia making attempts to ignore the fellow, was interrupted from this when he finally spoke and indicated his problems with using chopsticks.
A small hand reached up and removed the glasses, pulling the hood back from her head to reveal her features and ebony eyes looking at him. A slight smile came to her lips at his predicament and then she noted his fangs and pushed one of her own just over her lip for a moment before the smile faded all together and she instructed him on the usage of the chopsticks.
"You hold it like this.." She held up her hand and tucked one chopstick in the groove of her thumb and the picked up the other chopstick holding it much like a pencil and then demonstrated the opening and closing of the chopsticks. Her small shoulders shrugged lightly, "They have plastic flatware if you can't get it..." At that she pressed her chopsticks together and dipped it into the rice and pulled out a small mound, it was her good fortune that they made their rice rather sticky.
The small mound was raised for him to see a moment before she shoved it in her mouth and chewed. Amusement flickered over her facial features and twinkled in her eyes.

He frowned, copying her actions carefully. For a few moments, he considered perhaps giving in and getting some normal cutlery, but that somehow seemed like cheating. Eventually, he got the hang of it, and managed to eat the rest of his meal without too much embarrassment or injury. Now she had removed the hood, he could look at her properly too. He liked to try to read people from their faces... and often just to admire beauty if he found it. He realised he was staring. He hadn't had enough sleep the day before, and so he was acting like a gormless loser and making a complete fool of himself. Not that it made much of a difference from normal, to be honest. But he was new here, and alone, and she was a vampire too and he felt compelled to talk to her, if only to get directions to the nearest point of interest... though he'd rather chat for longer than that. He was, after all, a very social person. "Is there anything interesting around here to do?" he asked politely, when she'd finished eating. "Sorry, my name's Fabian, what's yours? I apologise for interrupting you when you must be here on some business of your own, but I'm sort of passing through... so... help a traveller make less of a fool of himself?" He smiled hopefully at her, wondering if resorting to charm would be a bad idea.
OOC: Sorry for the slowness and crudness of my replies. Last few days have been nuts.

Nyshia shrugged her shoulders as she finished up the last of fried rice and took a sip of her ramune. Having finally swallowed, she spoke, "Not too much. I run a theatre and attend those boring elitist balls and gatherings. I also spend some time at clubs...but I'm not here on business today. Just shopping."
At this she held up her brown paper bag of clothing, as if that should be explanation enough. She shrugged her shoulders once more and picked up the foam bowl and tossed it in the trash and sat back down with a slight smile on her cool features.
Cocking her head to the side curiously, "Are you just passing through, or are you planning on taking up residence in the town?" Her trademark quirk, the raising of one thin eyebrow inquisitively, raised at the posed question, yet no other emotion really reached her delicate features.

"Me?" he asked with a pleasant smile. "Nah, just passing through. Travelling is all I do really. I don't "take up residence" anywhere." He laughed, almost to himself. From what she said, she obviously knew the area well. Had he not been a forward sort of person, had he not been used to being cheeky... asking the questions he ought not to ask, it would have bothered him to be bothering her like this. However, he was a very... familiar person... presumptuous... and he didn't ever feel guilty about it. Looking at her for a moment, he seemed to reach some mental conclusion. "Forgive my intrusion on your time, miss, but could I perhaps persuade you to accompany me on my wanders around here?" He smiled his most winning and persuasive smile. "You must know the area, and I'd much enjoy not getting lost and having some company while I explore, if it isn't too much trouble..." He smiled again. He'd found his smiles did quite a lot of work in these situations. In all honesty, he'd be happy enough to wander on his own, but he was a social and sociable man, and liked to have company wherever he went. Here was an opportunity for such company, so who was he to pass it up? The worst she could say would be "no" after all. "So... miss... what do you say?"

Her body straightened back up again and she stood from her chair, pushing it into the table neatly. Her left hand clutching the bag of clothing and the other clutching the ramune bottle that she took one more sip of.
After a moment of thought, she finally replied in that soft lilting voice, "I can spare the time, but I fear I have a bag of clothing and boots on that don't feel well on my feet for walking long distances."
She sighed softly. I have so few friends, it would be nice to make just one, but I was unprepared for something such as this. Her thoughts were such at that moment.
Her gaze shifted to the table, where she'd left her glasses and she casually picked them up, placing them in her shopping bag before stepping back from the table and patiently waiting on his response to her dilemma.
