if we can burn a city in futures and in past, without a change OUR LIVES WILL NEVER LAST. CAUSE WE'RE GOING FAST. YOU CAN SIT BESIDE ME WHEN THE WORLD COMES DOWN, IF IT DOESN'T MATTER THEN JUST TURN AROUND. YOU CAN SIT BESIDE ME WHEN THE WORLD COMES DOWN, WE SAY AND WE DO ------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------- ALL THE LIES THE TRUTH AND ALL I NEED IS NEXT TO ME.
It was too freaking quiet in the freaking bar. It wasn’t even that late, but the vampiress had seemed to have picked the wrong bar to visit. There were minimal people inside, and they were all alone, staring at the wooden table top as they wallowed in their sorrows. One man was even sitting in the corner, sleeping. Hours ago it had been a little busier, but when Mara had entered, the place had cleared out; as if they could all sense that the woman dressed to kill was, actually, going to kill them all. It brought a smile to her lips as she lifted the shot glass to her mouth, tilting her head back to slam it down. Mara didn’t drink very often or very much, and this was only her third shot in the time of two hours. However, now she was getting bored. For the first hour those who had been too drunk enough to realize anything about her, but now they were all gone, and she was tired of it. She wanted something to do, someone to talk to or torment.
Getting to her feet, Mara threw a fifty on the counter and flashed the bartender a smile before walking out, ignoring him as he asked if she wanted her change. She just waved her hand by her head and shoved the door open before stepping out onto the street and looking around. “What shall I do tonight,” she mused quietly to herself, her hands on her hips. At least she looked like she belonged. . . she had on wintry-type things, like a jacket. Okay so the jacket was the only thing she was wearing that was anything related to the weather outside. Little flecks of snow dropped out of the sky, but Mara ignored them. She huffed slightly and stood in the doorway, gaining a couple glances from people that she also ignored, then finally decided on what to do. It only showed how bored she actually was. Dropping her arms down to her sides and started to walk. She had cars she could drive in, but she felt like walking on this fine night.
Where did her feet take her? To one of her comrades in the Blood Dynasty. Matthew and her weren’t exactly good friends—or even drinking buddies—but Mara was bored and he didn’t have a restraining order on her—not that she would adhere to it or anyone else’s for that matter—and she might as well get to know her coworker a little better. Figure out if he’d ever backstab her for any reason. It didn’t look like anyone was home, though. Mara sighed, figuring that he had to come home eventually. Mara glanced around, then sighed and walked toward the front door, sitting sown in front of it. From there she lied down on her back, her legs up against the door, her hands folded on her stomach as she lied there and looked up at the sky, the dark clouds covering the sky. Her head was tilted slightly as she watched the snow fall toward her, looking like one of her illusions as they appeared seemingly out of nowhere. Mara didn’t know how long she sat there, with her legs up against the door, crossed at the ankle, but she turned her head as she heard the sound of a car driving up, and her lips curled into a smile.

The night was still young, but there was nothing for him to do. He had to watch over Nicola and ensure that she didn’t try and get into any trouble; or even worse, get him into trouble. The young woman was sitting next to him; they hadn’t talked since leaving the grocery store, but there wasn’t really much to be talked about. He had kidnapped her essentially, and there was no getting around that fact; at least not right now. It had only been a couple of hours since the two had first met, and it would be much longer before the young woman forgot their meeting. The vampire simply sighed as he pulled into the driveway of his mansion.
As the car pulled up the driveway, Matthew could tell that there was something out of place. He could just sense it in the air as he drew closer to his home. Maybe he had been taken for a sucker and this young woman sitting next to him was actually a hunter. Maybe the two people he had met weren’t her parents, but fellow hunters. They could have easily gotten here and had more then enough time to set up a trap for him in his own home. As the vampire brought the car to stop, he turned it off and took the keys out of the ignition. He looked over at Nicola and spoke,“Stay right there; this will only take a second.”
The vampire opened the door and placed his left foot on the ground. He then twisted his body and stood up; his other foot hitting the cement driveway. The immortal being then closed the car door and began to make his way towards the front door of his house. He began to slow down as he rounded the corner, noticing a shadow by his front door. As Matthew slowly made his way up, he recognized the being that the shadow belonged to; Mara Nyx. The younger of the two vampires grunted slightly, and then spoke,“What are you doing here Mara? I don’t remember inviting you.”

make you think that it's true; it's all an illusion already begun AND IT ALREADY HAS BEGUN, THE FREAKS HAVE COME OUT TONIGHT THERE'S NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WRONG AND RIGHT WELCOME TO THE BLACK MAGIC SHOW THERE'S NO ROOM HERE FOR YOU AND THERE'S NOTHING, NOTHING YOU CAN DO -------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- THIS IS CALLED THE BLACK MAGIC SHOW.
How long had she been sitting on that front step, her legs up? Mara didn’t know, nor did she particularly care. She was playing around with her illusions, making the sun appear in the sky above her, illuminating the area around her. Then, the stars seemed to grow larger and larger until the sky had planets in it instead of little dots. These were exclusive to her, only, and they were highly entertaining to the bored vampiress. At one point she had a large dragon flying circles over the mansion that belonged to Matthew. She was unimpressed by the abode, thinking that hers was much better. It was a bit further out of the way of New York than some, but there was limited places in a place as crowded as New York City, and she had wanted to start from scratch. Of course that meant buying property, and there were so few areas with large enough property for what she had been looking for. She figured—now, this was only her opinion—that the mansion Mara stood at now was on level with her vacation home in Japan.
The dragon landed with a heavy thud in the driveway, and then the illusion was shattered as a car drove through it, the driver unaware that it was even there. After all, the illusions Mara had been creating were for her eyes only. Mara sighed. It had been a pretty little dragon. But at least now her colleague was there to entertain her instead. The car driving up was some old Mustang, and Mara scoffed to herself, remaining in her laid position, legs resting against the door as she waited for Matthew to come and greet her. Mine is better, she thought to herself with a roll of her eyes. The car pulled up and then shut off and Mara tilted her head back, watching as a wary and confused Matthew climbed from his car. Mara caught a glimpse of another person in the car, but thought not much of it while Matthew made his way over to investigate the person on his doorstep.
“Why, it is about time you got home. I was beginning to wonder if you really lived here,” Mara greeted as the younger and less pure vampire got closer to her. He stopped a couple feet away from her and didn’t seem at all happy to see her, but Mara couldn’t have cared less. “What are you doing here Mara? I don’t remember inviting you.” Mara raised her eyebrows at the frankness of her comrade, and then she pulled her knees to her chest and rolled to the side, pushing herself up to her feet and pulling her tank top down a little bit. “I was not aware that I needed an invitation to visit my younger and inferior comrade,” she said, feigning shock and tossing in an insult while she was at it. “I was bored and I came to see if you could entertain me. Have you brought yourself a snack, little Matthew? You smell of humans and blood,” she commented off handedly, stepping down the little steps before making her way toward Matthew and stopping in front of him, her hands on her hips and her head tilted a little bit. She wasn’t accusing him of anything despite what her body language was saying.
