I'm not going to be there to revive you; I'm gonna be the one to say, "I told you so"."Stupid vampires," a male with unnatural red hair grumbled under his breath as he weaved through the small crowd with ease whilst staring blankly ahead. Thought appeared in his eyes; and he directed his gaze towards his side where he had his hands pocketed in the black trench coat he wore. Rowen eased one into sight to eye the nasty bruise he sported from the earlier fight he got into. A group of freshly turned vampires thought they could fuck with him until they realized it wasn't such a good idea...at the last minute when they found sharp objects protruding from their chests. Idiots.
At least he won't have to worry about them anymore; one less idiot always meant the world was just a hair's width better than it was a few hours ago. Unfortunately, idiots have a bad tendency to multiply faster than the intelligent.
A sharp turn on one heel and he took the road that lead to Central Park where he often practiced Karate. His absorption into Necromancy had distracted him for far too long and it was time to rebuild some of the pain tolerance he lost. It takes a while to lose it, at least.
The first thing he did was sink into a front stance, raised his fists, and began to punch the tree in front of him at a fast pace.

Some boys take a beautiful girl, And hide her away from the rest of the world. I wanna be the one to walk in the sun.Like most other days she was in the park, every day when she had the chance she came to this place, it was her favorite place in the city. With its open area and lack of towering buildings every where it was the only place for her to go to see some real nature. Their where a few other places but by far this was the best place for her. As she was sitting their swinging back and forth her eyes took notice of a strange looking male, he seemed to be punching a tree which to her was just extreemly odd. Her eyes scanned over him as she watched from a rather far distance, he was strong she could see that and had to have a pretty good tolerance fr pain if he could punch a tree like that with out even saying ouch or anything. As the swing lifted into the air she jumped off landing gently on the sand then brushed off a little as she stood up. Walking over towards the male she kept a decent distance since she was not sure what he as or who he was but figured she could at least say something to him. He was the first person she had seen in the park so far and plus she was a bit on the bored side some one like this guys would have to apply some interesting facts. After coming but a few feet from him she looked him over once again then cleared her throat softly, as she walked a little closer. Her eyes still locked intently upon him. "Um Hello... Why are you punching as tree? It must hurt right? I know im being a little nosey but i just wanted to ask so im sorry.."

I'm not going to be there to revive you; I'm gonna be the one to say, "I told you so".Rowen punched a few more times, lowered his blood-sodden knuckles, and snapped his head in her direction, eyes narrowed. Why the hell was a girl around her age out here this time of night? The necromancer, still silent, pulled out a few bandages from his pockets and wrapped up his knuckles so he could resume punching the tree. Shame there were no stones around his height here otherwise he'd resort to that instead.
"Martial Artist," came his response and the only reason the girl would get for what he was doing. Rowen was never one for talking to someone he didn't know or trust and thus resumed punching the tree. Blood inked across the bandages but that didn't seem to bother him much considering he was still going at it.
"Aren't you a little young being out here late, kid?"

Some boys take a beautiful girl, And hide her away from the rest of the world. I wanna be the one to walk in the sun.Her eyes directed to his when he turned towards her, until she caught notice of his bloodied knuckles. But she was not going to say anything about that since he was already starting to wrap his hands up.But what he said he was doing didnt make much sense to her. what type of combat martial arts had you punching a tree. Maybe she was clueless bit she could not figure it out. "Oh i see.. Are you like a fighter or something? I know your not normal like i am but thats really not my business." Looking down at the ground she let out a soft sigh then looked back towards him as he returned to his so called martial arts. It looked painfull but he did not seem to mind at all which was odd. And then he had to ask his next question.Or make his statement either of which made her attention snap towards him as she was a bit shocked he would mention that. Yeah she was a little young to be out alone in the park in the middle of the night but she had nothing better to do. Though if her parents knew she would be in alot of trouble. "Umm... yeah.. I guess i am but i come here all the time i dont like sitting in my house all day. Its much more peaceful here as long as i stay away from the gangs and such im pretty much safe."Stepping back she took a seat on the ground and watched him. Although she did not know this guy at all she still found it interesting to watch him. It was different and she had never seen any one punch a tree for fun. "Im Lia.. Its uh.... Nice to meet you i think?"

I'm not going to be there to revive you; I'm gonna be the one to say, "I told you so".'Not normal'? You don't know the half of it, Rowen thought to himself, and stopped punching the tree so he could answer her questions. Fortunately for her, he wasn't feeling very "assholish" at the moment but that won't last long. "Yeah. Karate is what I do. I'm punching this tree to build pain tolerance so, when I'm hit in a fight, the pain won't distract me from my goal." The male backed away from the tree, raised his fists and launched a punch. His whole body turned, mainly his hips, and slammed into the bark. Unlike the past few strikes, this one left a dent and splintered the tree's main defense. That will do for now.
"This place isn't safe," Rowen unwound the blood-sodden bandages and got out a fresh roll to cover the gashes, "lots of freaks come around here and harm people. One chick got attacked by a vampire wanna be and nearly died." He wasn't going to start saying that it was a real night walker he had to fight off, again. The last thing anyone needed is another human claiming they existed and preaching to ignorant masses. Most didn't believe they were there, and thus, he didn't bother.

Some boys take a beautiful girl, And hide her away from the rest of the world. I wanna be the one to walk in the sun."I see well im impressed,iv never seen any one ever practice martial arts well except on the television. But thats not really the same. " Watching him she smiled as the tree dented in from his last punch it was impresive she would admit that. But she figured this guy was hiding something and their was no way she was going to bug him for information. "Iv herd of people attacked by vampires werewolfs and other creatures from lore around here lately. But most people shrug it off and think its just animals or other humans such as gangs so on. But im not really scared of any of them id be more afraid of my own kind then any other. " She pretty much just admited she knew more then most of her kind did, she normally did not let people know this either since most people just laughed at her and called her weird.

I'm not going to be there to revive you; I'm gonna be the one to say, "I told you so"."What you see on the television is usually fake unless it's a demonstration or well planned out for films," Rowen said, having finished re-bandaging his battered knuckles, "or a grandmaster displaying his amazing skills." The red head had a few goals in life the first being to became a grandmaster martial artist and the second to master necromancy. With those two deadly abilities under his belt he could take on a lot more than some old geezer of a vampire or werewolf.
"So you're not another ignorant kid. Good; I got sick and tired of people claiming the creatures don't exist all because of their fears. That 'wannabe' vampire was the real deal and the girl was lucky to be alive-the leech nearly drained her dry." Rowen shook out his hands, snapped them into fists, and sank them into his pockets. Fortunately his healing was unusually fast so the scabs should be gone within a week or more.

Some boys take a beautiful girl, And hide her away from the rest of the world. I wanna be the one to walk in the sun."Yeah it always did seem rather fake. I have seen a few shows on masters of the arts and they interested me but something i could never bring myself to learn, i dont really find myself as the type of person who could ever hurt anything. " Watching him as he finished bandaging his hands she gave a soft smile and dropped back down onto the cold ground. She was pretty content for now, a bit on the cold side but nothing to bad. She was used to it by now. She could not help but put a big smile on with his next words they just made her smile. For once some one was not like laughing at her telling her she was crazy or something. She knew their where things out their far stronger then she could ever be and she was not looking into them to exploit them more to just learn about them. "Well i dont really wish to exploit those people i really only wish to learn about them, I think it is really neat how we all share a world. And yet my own kind is blind to the truth of their existence. "She was not overly sure what to say to the stranger at this point since she really new nothing about him except he was not a normal human, she was not stupid so she could tell this ideal easily. But did not really know if she wanted to know what he was either. But the question hung in her mind and soon it was to the point where she just had to ask. "I know this is really not any of my business and if you dont wish to tell me then dont, but i wanted to ask any way just because i have curiosity issues. But Mr. Stranger what are you?"After asking her question she looked down at the ground and started to fidget with her pants legs a bit. She felt a bit odd for being so blunt around a stranger, but could not help herself. It was one of those things that just had to be asked and if they where not then it would haunt you.

I'm not going to be there to revive you; I'm gonna be the one to say, "I told you so"."Neat?" Rowen gave the girl a "you've-got-to-be-kidding-me" look and rolled his eyes in disbelief. Why on earth would a child think that sharing the world with vampires and werewolves was a "neat" thing? Perhaps she was as naive as he thought. After shaking his head incredulously, the necromancer gave the tree a light tap of his left foot, and turned to face the girl again, "I'll have you know their existence is dangerous to the human race, especially since most of them decide to be blissfully ignorant to the dangers around them when the evidence is too obvious." Rowen stated. It was time for him to depart.
However, the girl had another question to ask of him, and it wasn't something he was eager to respond to. What was he? Good question. He was human but at the same time he was not. Perhaps he was just gifted? "That, kid, is none of your business. You already can tell I'm not exactly human and that should be enough for you. Though, rest assured, I am not a leech nor a full-moon furry-I kill those." Maybe she'd fall for the whole, "I'm a slayer" deal. Well, he was one, but that wasn't his main occupation.

Some boys take a beautiful girl, And hide her away from the rest of the world. I wanna be the one to walk in the sun."Yes neat.. Not meaning they are something good to have around im not saying that, how i mean this is that it is a interesting fact to know your not the only beings on this earth. I know it sounds odd but i just... well im not sure i guess i am just interested in the things that can destroy me.." Lia had caught his looks when she said it was neat, with his eyes rolling and his gesture like she was crazy. When she caught that she of course gave her response but also lowered her eyes down to the ground, knowing she was different which made her rather uncomfortable. But still she was not going to change just because a few people called her names and picked on her, especially when she knew she was correct and that hey where the ones who where wrong. Looking back up to him when he spoke again answering her next question. As she figured he was not going to fully out right tell her what he was which she expecting any way so it was not a huge let down for him not to tell her. After all she was being overly to nosy, she did not even know this guys name let alone anything else about him and yet she was asking him so many questions. So when he gave his response she just shook her head a little then looked back towards the ground. "Your right im sorry for bugging you and asking so many questions. So if you would like ill leave you alone now, im sure i was slightly rude for coming over and bugging you after all."

I'm not going to be there to revive you; I'm gonna be the one to say, "I told you so"."I was about to say..." the male muttered in response with a hint of displeasure. If anyone wanted to live alongside the night walkers they'd be asking for a death wish. Peace between the species will never happen; but he was certain a part of Lia wanted something like that to satisfy her curiosity. What a strange kid, thought the necromancer, liking things that could very well destroy her may lead to a premature demise. That was her choice; but he had to throw in his two cents to make sure the child was informed on the dangers. "My advice-lose the interest as soon as you can or you'll become a werewolf's rare steak or a vampire's bloody mary." Bluntly put but it was enough.
"It was rude," he replied, this time his tone a little more calloused than before, "and if you know what's good for you, you'll-" a rustling of the bushes just to his left cut him off mid sentence. Could it be a lurker? An animal? Or something more sinister...? "Get down." Rowen pulled a knife from his pocket, and cautiously approached the brush...

Some boys take a beautiful girl, And hide her away from the rest of the world. I wanna be the one to walk in the sun."Im sorry.. And i know i should not be so curious about them i dont even know why i am..Its like everything about them draws me in, like im bound to know about them. I dont know what it is and i know its silly but i just cant help it. "Looking away from him she let out a soft sigh, she could tell he thought she was just a silly child but she really did not overly care either, he would not be the first of the odd beings she had ran into though which was why she was not scared of any of them. Though she could not figure out why she was so scared f harmless things yet the things she should fear where things she showed no fear with. Looking up at him with his next words she let out another soft sigh,he just had to agree with her. Making her feel a little bad but then the sound of some thing moving in a near by brush area caught hers and his attention. And his next words shocked her, why would he care about her safety? He wanted her to get down and yet she knew she would not listen. Looking towards the bush she remained sitting right where she was staring into it wondering what was their, but yet still sat as calm as if their was nothing in the world that could harm her. Out of the corner of her eye she watched as the stranger pulled a knife out and she quickly turned her attention back towards where the sound had come from.

I'm not going to be there to revive you; I'm gonna be the one to say, "I told you so".The necromancer cautiously made his way towards the brush, his knife ready to plunge into whatever may be lurking just ahead. Soon as his hand made contact with the vegetation, a cat hissed and sprang out, dashing by the two and into the night. "...well, so much for that." He grunted and spun the knife in his hand. The design was out of the norm for the average knife wielder- at the end of the handle there was a round, metallic knob known as a "Skull Buster" since one could simply bash someone atop the head and it would definitely leave more than just a mark. "Hmph. One can't be too careful out here. Nightcrawlers come here often to feast out of sight."
The weapon was snapped back into the sheathe and pocketed. Rowen's caution level always skyrocketed in Central Park and anything was liable to do something at any given time.
[Sorry I took so long]

I wanna be the one to walk in the sun.Lia watched the bush closely and all of a sudden started to laugh as a small cat leaped out. She found it to be rather funny since the two of them had suddenly just become all anxious and weary of what might be lurking in the bush that the fact it could be something so harmless as it was, had simply skipped over their thoughts. Looking towards the odd man she shook her head and gave him a funny look. She could not believe he was so ready to kill just because he was a bit threatened by the other creatures. "Your a rather odd man mr... And lets not jump out of our skins for a little cat okay? I mean i understand their are odd creatures about but honestly they are no more dangerous then my own kind, We all kill in one manor or another so who is to say which way is right or wrong."

I'm not going to be there to revive you; I'm gonna be the one to say, "I told you so".Rowen tossed the girl a venomous, if not lethal looking, glare, "You want to know how many times I got jumped out here, kid? I lost count; and if I wasn't on full alert when it happened, I would not be here talking to you right now." What may startle her, if she hadn't seen such a display of anger before, was the sudden purple glow the blazed from his dark eyes. If Rowen got irritated enough it would show through in the most unwanted way on his part.
"I've had my fair share of vampires attempt to drain me and a few werewolves hoping to make a nice snack out of my innards. If you had to put up with such things on a daily basis while out here, then you'd understand." Children nowadays just did not think outside the box on a being's paranoia. With a sharp exhale through his nose, the red head walked off towards the brush to leave Central Park. Now, he was almost hoping for some night walker to attack the child to rid the world of another pest.
