29 bands. For 29 Bucks. [Its really 40 if you add everything in...] Its a good promise when you have a crap load of amazing bands playing there. A7X, Shinedown, Bullet for my Valentine, Black Tide, Seether and a ton more. Imagine how thrilled i was when i knew A7X was there and i had scraped up JUST ENOUGH to get the ticket. For a full week that i was holding that ticket in my possesion, i was the happiest person on earth. There was a good chance i would see them face to face, get my shirt signed and a picture maybe..... Then it all crashed down yesterday night. They had canceled thier show in St. Louis..... the one i was going to.
Our Beloved M. Shadows is having vocal problems.
So, it goes like this. Shadows started to have problems with his voice in Huntington, West Virginia on September 6th. Shadows refused to cancel on such amazing fans but It was hard for him to make it through the show. Luckily the loyal band took up most singing parts to aid thier hurting friend. But the next show in Baltimore was canceled. Shadows woke up, and couldnt even talk. Immediately the band flew home and Shadows went to see a doctor. The whole band was worried, but thank the lords there was no damage, nothing requires surgery, and nothing perminant.
Shadows voice is not in danger.
Its diagnosed as "Vocal Fatigue", He worked himself too hard. He is perscribed two weeks of rest and then the tour can pick up again. They will pick up again on October 15th in Japan, then return to the US to start up another tour with Shinedown, Buckcherry and Saving Abel on November 13th in Colorado.
M. Shadows adds these words:
"I feel as if I'm letting so many people down, especially the fans we were supposed to see this month, but after a little rest it'll be back to the usual craziness everyone expects of A7X. All of us are so excited about going out with Buckcherry in November; our fans will love them as well as Shinedown and Saving Abel".
Here is a link explaining everything along with a recording of Synyster Gates Call into the radio station to confrim the cancel.

My inital feelings were that my concert was ruined, that i shouldnt go anymore. I should sell my ticket. I felt so betrayed that they werent showing up. But i thought again... Shadows didnt cancel just to be cruel.... Syn himself said that Shadows wanted to be out there, and didnt like having to sit around. So i've decided that i will go anyway, for the sake of Shadows and show my support. All i care for now is that he gets better soon and can resume doing the thing he loves to do.
Even though im still upset about it..... -sniffle-
