When I am seen. I am feared. _______________________ It was here that she revealed herself finally. This empty station. The silence alone reminded Urjasz of the events that unfolded here. Events that had reminded him of his past deeds and the world he'd left in Poland. So many died that day and it led to so many more deaths to come. Kaja, the woman Urjasz had spent his human childhood loving, had died at his hand a century ago. For months he caught glimpses of her in this city but he convinced himself he was going mad. Stepping closer to the tracks, Urjasz looked around the station's clean roof, remembering the sights that he saw that night. His murder, his accident, it came back to haunt him that night. Immortals torn to shreds in the blink of an eye, showering the station's walls. How she had haunted him. The only person to scare Urjasz in centuries. A demon. Nothing like the woman, the girl he had grown up with. In the end it took the help of another demon to return her to hell. Forever. Zaros, a demon whose age is just short of the gods above, did the deed that Urjasz could not do. Only a demon of stronger strength and age can kill a demon. How helpless Urjasz had felt, the power inside him useless. Being here was a way of moving on. Like people who are in shark attacks going back into the water to get over it. Immortals Urjasz could deal with, but angels and demons were a whole new league. He was fucked either way, angels killing all evil and demons killing whoever. As he thought this over, he heard footsteps...

Taryn Rosalee Jamestheres a she wolf in your closet open up and set her free theres a she wolf in your closet let it out so it can breath••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••She stumbled down the subway stairs, one hand on the dirty railing and the other clutching the wound in her chest. She'd been shot in the shoulder from behind, but that bullet had gone through and through. The fucking problem was that she'd spun around and taken one to the chest as well. She could feel that fucking bullet trapped in her chest, deep enough that she couldn't get it out, but it was always harder to get out your own bullets. Taryn, normally a proper woman, spat blood on the wall as it bubbled up in her mouth. She'd survive this, if she could get the bullet out. There was a doc, someone who helped shifters, if she could get to him, she'd make it. Trouble was, people tend to stare when a bleeding chick gets on the train. She'd made it down the stairs, but that was as far as she got before she fell against the wall. Her body slid down the filthy subway wall and crumpled up on the floor. 'I just need a minute. I've been hurt worse than this, I just need a fucking minute.' She thought to herself, practically screaming it in her head. "Fuck, fuck, fuck." She whispered under her breath. She glanced frantically around, seeing a few people and catching their gaze. It didn't matter that there were people down here, every one that looked at her, quickly walked the other way. She took a deep breath in through her nose and caught the smell of another shifter on the wind. Another wolf. Well, if he didn't decide to kill her himself, maybe he'd help. Depending on what kind of person it was, maybe he'd be able to the bullet out. Fuck. She spit blood again and wiped her hand across her chin, streaking the crimson line across her cheek.

When I am seen. I am feared. _______________________ Caught up in memories of the past, Urjasz hadn't noticed the people arriving at the station around him. He loved the New York style of being friendly with people at the station. Wait no. That was York in England. The arrival of a bleeding woman portrayed this point all so well. Swinging around to spot the woman on the floor, the smell of blood hit his nose and his wolf inside woke up. However he was no vampire, all the blood did was get his attention, it didn't drive him mad like it would with a vampire. Behind him a train pulled up to the station and all the remaining people got onto the train, leaving the pair alone on the station. Standing still, he waited for the train to leave, watching the woman the entire time. As the train left, his hand disappeared into the inside of his coat, pulling out a thin knife... Walking over to her with a strong pace, he knelt down and pushed her down, holding her down. Looking her in the eye first, he then looked to the wound and pushed the knife inside. Moving his hand down from the handle to the blade itself, he used it like a tool to dislodge the bullet inside. Placing the knife beside them, he extended the claws on his hand and dipped two fingers inside her. Feeling around, he caught the bullet between his claws and pulled it out. Dropping the bullet onto the ground, he looked at her should and determined he could simply pull it out. With a quick cut he did just that, dropping the bullet beside the other. Cleaning his knife, he placed it back into his coat and he wiped the blood from his hands onto his jacket. Getting up, he simply said "You'll live." He knew she was a wolf and those wounds would heal.

Taryn Rosalee Jamestheres a she wolf in your closet open up and set her free theres a she wolf in your closet let it out so it can breath••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••He hadn't said much to her, but it didn't matter. He'd done what she'd needed. Her body had twisted under his weight as he put his knife inside her chest, digging, pilfering around inside her, searching for the bullet that was threatening her life. She didn't scream and she didn't cry, but when his claws extended and entered her body, it was all she could do not to pass out on the floor under him. Her eyes stayed locked on him as he removed his fingers from her body and she grunted with the pain of it. Taryn heard the bullet his the ground and her head lolled to the side, staring at the small thing that had violated her body in such a large way. He cleaned off his knife on his pant leg and replaced it back in to his pocket. "You'll live." The stranger said to her as he stood up above her, wiping her blood from his hands on to his jacket. Taryn coughed hard, once again spitting up blood on the ground beside her. She pulled herself in to a sitting position, her back against the grimy subway wall. She looked down at the wound in her chest that was already starting to knit itself back together. She watched for only a moment and then her eyes turned to the man standing next to her. Everything about him gave off big waves of danger to Taryn. He was rugged, very manly and the look in his eyes said that he could kill her in seconds. But, Taryn was strong as well, even if she was bleeding from almost everywhere. "Thanks for that." She said to him as she looked back down at her chest. She took in another deep breath through her nose, taking in the scent of him. Taryn's scent memory was amazing and she wanted to remember this man's scent. She wasn't sure why, but she figured it might come in handy later on. She spoke again to him her head falling back against the wall, her voice still strained from the pain. "Taryn. I figure since you've had your fingers inside my body, you should at least know my name. Its Taryn."

When I am seen. I am feared. _______________________ They were the first words he had heard her speak and he gave her a quick smile. "Not a problem. You'd of done the same for me. We're not like the humans. We don't just leave our own kind to die in some subway." The way she collected herself and tried hard not to feel the pain made him assume she was a slightly older immortal. Her comment made him smile once more. It was clear she was fairly forward as well. "It was a pleasure to have them inside you. Nice to meet you Taryn, my name is Urjasz Volkova." Holding out a hand, he took hers and gave it a slight shake. Everything about her made him think of her as quite an independent person. "So call me forward but how old are you? I know you should never ask a woman her age but I can't place how old you really are. You look younger, but you act older and more maturely. I'm 178, believe it or not. Strictly speaking that's still pretty young." Glancing over to the way she just came, he also added "I don't need to worry about some bat shit crazy hunter coming down, guns ablaze do I?" The prospect of being blind sided by some amateur's bullets didn't overly appeal to Urjasz, but he took comfort in the fact she wasn't that edgy. She hadn't once looked back at the way she came, but that wasn't to say there wasn't a fire fight to come.

Taryn Rosalee Jamestheres a she wolf in your closet open up and set her free theres a she wolf in your closet let it out so it can breath••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••"It was a pleasure to have them inside you. Nice to meet you Taryn, my name is Urjasz Volkova." She smirked at his comment as he held out his hand. She took it in her own and it was a pathetic hand shake on her part, but she had just been shot. Twice. Her hand fell back down to her side and she let it lay there on the ground. Taryn needed to heal, fast, and every movement hindered that. He gave her a small smile and she couldn’t help but return it. There was something in his eyes that made her want to smile. Her smile quickly turned in to a smirk as he asked her age. She watched as he felt the need to apologize for asking and even shared his own age. It had been a long time since Taryn had voluntarily given up information about herself, but for some reason, with him she didn’t hesitate. “I’m 98. Your not that young.” She said to him, her voice straining as she tried to shift her body in to a better position. He glanced over his shoulder to the stairs Taryn had just come stumbling down. "I don't need to worry about some bat shit crazy hunter coming down, guns ablaze do I?" He said as he turned his gaze back to me. His question had a real smile coming to her face, lighting up her eyes with delight. No, there wasn’t a hunter coming for them. She’d seen to that. “No, there’s no one coming. He may have shot me first, but I shot him last.” She said, to him, her smile only growing at the memory. She’s taken two shots from the hunter before she’d put one in his forehead. Score one for her. She tried to push herself up using the wall as leverage. But, it was a no go and she fell back to the cement floor. She glanced around at the puddle of her own blood she was sitting in and then back up at the man that had saved her. “So, do you always run around rescuing woman?” She said to him, making small talk while her body was hard at work stitching itself back together.

When I am seen. I am feared. _______________________ She seemed to be fairly comfortable speaking to him, which was more than could be said for her current physical state. He was surprised when she answered his question directly. "In human years, you would look very good for your age. Immortal years, you and me are barely teenagers. Scary thought that. By that standard alot of immortals die young." He shrugged his shoulders as if to suggest that's simply life. After that he listened to her short story on what happened outside and he was glad that she had dealt with that problem. Conclusively. "Good. Hunters, at least the human ones, annoy me. I used to hunt when I was human but that was to survive. I didn't hunt something simply for it being something in particular."Taking a card from his pocket, he opened her hand and placed it in hers. "Novosi. This men will help clean up any problems you have. Say you accidentally kill your landlord and you don't want people to know. They'll sort it for you. Free. Just say that you got that card from Urjasz Volkova. They'll understand "that big scary wolf guy" too" he joked, giving a smile once more. Unlike the ones before, he didn't have much time to stop smiling as she made him smile once more. He liked to be mysterious but it was hard to be when there was underlying jokes. "I hardly doubt that me waiting for a train counts as running around saving women. Besides, I found you after the attack, be better at saving if I was there for the original hunter."

Taryn Rosalee Jamestheres a she wolf in your closet open up and set her free theres a she wolf in your closet let it out so it can breath••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Taryn smiled back, though it took some effort, as he handed her a business card. He explained the services the man could offer and that got a genuine smile from her. She looked up at him and nodded in thanks as he smiled down at her. She was really beginning to enjoy his smile. He answered her question and his answer changed some way she’d judged him. "I hardly doubt that me waiting for a train counts as running around saving women. Besides, I found you after the attack, be better at saving if I was there for the original hunter." Most of the men like this one would have ignored her bleeding body to save their own asses. She’d been left dying one too many times by a male shifter to expect anything more from them. Her insides were still going through the painful healing process when the first group of people came bounding down the stairs beside her. Men and woman alike pushed to the opposite side of the bleeding woman and the dangerous man looming over her. Taryn watched as the hustled by her in horror, giving her only a glance, but none stopping to ask if she was okay. A man spoke low to a security guard who’d just appeared from around the corner and Taryn knew it was time to go. She used her good arm to push herself up, but was sorely disappointed when her shoulder gave out and she slammed down hard on her ass. ‘Shit, I have to get out of here.’ Her thoughts were screaming in her head but her body was still too weak to comply. Taryn wrapped her coat around her midsection and looked again to the man that had saved her. “Listen, I know you don’t owe me anything.. And I’m damn grateful for what you’ve already done for me. But..” She nodded toward the security guard that was making his way through the crowd. “If you can help me get the fuck out of here before Deputy Dog gets to me, I’ll make it up to you..” She smiled up at him waiting for his answer and praying that he’d help her.

When I am seen. I am feared. _______________________ She didn't reply to his comment and he assumed the pain was distracting her. A smile here and there made him feel assured that she wasn't in mortal danger. They were interrupted by the arrival of a new group of people, many of whom took note of the situation before them. Glances went from her to him, but no one challenged them. One man did turn around though and headed for the security guard up top. Glancing up the stairs, Urjasz watched him speaking to him and made eye contact with the guard. It was now that Taryn spoke and he answered calmly "Hang on a moment. I've got this." The man who'd informed the guard made his way past quickly and soon the guard was before him. "You've been very bad. I'm going to arrest you."Urjasz gave him a dumb look and burst out laughing. "Jesus, Herrick you pull off being a complete retard perfectly." The guard chuckled and replied "Yeah fuck you Urjasz. What you doing back in these parts? You never did make my job easy." "Ah back in town for awhile. This is Taryn, those are hunter wounds. I'm behaving, I swear." Herrick laughed and started to make his way back up the stairs. "Well can you find people to save in a less public place? If you're clever enough to kill out of sight, don't fuck up by helping someone publically. They ask enough questions as it is without you being some headline." Giving Herrick a single wave goodbye, Urjasz took Taryn by the hand and helped her up. "He's Novosi. Now, where do you want to go?"

The two of them seemed to know each other pretty well and that was working out to her advantage. "Well can you find people to save in a less public place? If you're clever enough to kill out of sight, don't fuck up by helping someone publically. They ask enough questions as it is without you being some headline." Urjasz gave the security guard, whose name was apparently Herrick, a single wave goodbye, and then held his hand out to Taryn. She took his hand and he pulled her up beside him. She wrapped her arm around her midsection and took in a deep shuddering breath. Standing up wasn‘t the best idea just yet, but she wanted to get out of public. "He's Novosi. Now, where do you want to go?" She nodded as he told her that the security guard was Novosi, the clean up men from the card he’d given her. Taryn cleared her throat but still couldn’t shake the weak sound of her voice. “Anywhere out of the public eye. My place isn’t safe anymore, he got me right outside the door.”(what do you want to do from here???)

When I am seen. I am feared. _______________________ Taryn was quiet through his talk with Herrick and she only spoke once they has finished speaking. It was little things like this that helped Urjasz understand what kind of person someone is. She was direct yet knew when to speak. "Out of the public's eye. You got something on your mind?" he teased, giving her a slight nudge. "Perhaps we should find you a new home? That's if you like to hide. Why don't I take you back to your home and we can try to make it safer. Every hunter in this city knows where I live, but do they come knocking on my door? No. And now that you killed one that tried to kill you, others will think twice about doing it. But be warned, there will be those who will see you as some kind of trophy to be had. I say let them come. And let us make trophies of them."For the first time that night, he smiled fully, his sharp teeth showing just behind his lips. The idea of hunting the hunters always amused him. Placing her arm around his shoulders, he helped her make her way up the stairs, allowing for any slips or stumbles. Once they made it to the top, he took her to the nearest taxi and opened the door, allowing her to enter first. Reassuring the driver with stories of how they're in fancy dress, he asked for her address and once he got it, they soon set off. "So Taryn, this is all you need to know about me. I'm Polish, work for a Russian family, I've been to all parts of the world and I'm very good at my job. I also talk alot. Some people in the same line of work think that makes me an amateur, believing silence to be a better code. I just think it makes me slightly more....human."

Taryn Rosalee Jamestheres a she wolf in your closet open up and set her free theres a she wolf in your closet let it out so it can breath••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Taryn nodded as he explained his safe haven. Hunters were constantly after the man in front of him and he didn’t hide. Taryn wasn’t a runner. No, she preferred to stay her ground, to face the fight in front of her. This was just the first time a hunter had come knocking on her door. Normally, she encountered them on the streets, in the alleys and bars, no where near her home. She’d always protected her pack on the streets and in their pack safe havens. But, her home, that was her private place. She took every precaution necessary to keep it private. There was a time not too long ago in her life when she would have ran from this. She would have packed up her life and moved across town. She wouldn’t have gone too far from her pack, but she still would have moved. This was different. This hunter had snuck up on her and gotten the best of her with two small bullets. If he’d found his way to her door, so would the others. “But be warned, there will be those who will see you as some kind of trophy to be had. I say let them come. And let us make trophies of them." He gave her a big smile and she returned one to him. Urjasz helped her to her feet and she wrapped her arm up around his shoulder. She looked in to his all knowing eyes and smiled again. “Where the hell have you been all my life.” She said to him and even managed to squeeze a little laugh out passed the pain in her chest. He helped her make her way up the stairs which was no easy feat on her part. He let her take her time and she was thankful for that. When they reached the street, Urjasz waved down a cab and helped her in before getting in beside her. Urjesz told the driver where they were going and then gave Taryn a brief description of who he was. “I just think it makes me slightly more....human." That was what made him different in her eyes. He was like her. He could be the ruthless killer that was necessary of their species and still smile at the little things. Taryn let her head fall back on the seat and looked over at this man with a new respect for him in her eyes. It wasn’t very often another were volunteered information for nothing. And even though she didn’t trust him, she didn’t trust anyone, he was on his way to earning it. She looked out the window at the rain on the streets and took a deep breath and the time to remind herself that she didn’t know this man from a hole in the wall. Yet, she was welcoming him in to her home and opening herself up to him. Literally. “I’m the Alpha Female of the Thronnos Rokke Clan, out of Vermont. I’m originally from Saint Louis, but I haven’t been back in.. a long time. I don’t take shit from anyone and I’ll do anything to protect my pack. This was a one time deal and I won’t let it happen again.” She said to him, turning to face him again. She tried to keep the disappointment out of her eyes but it took a minute to control. She was so angry with herself for letting this happen, for letting some meaningless hunter get the best of her and putting her on her ass. She meant what she’d said, it wouldn’t happen again. The cab pulled up to her brownstone apartment and she glanced out the window at it. Her alarm system was going to need upgrading and she’d be rearranging her weapons in the front room. She turned back to Urjasz and her face was nothing but serious. “If you screw me, I’ll kill you.” She said to him as she opened her door and stepped out in to the rain.

When I am seen. I am feared. _______________________ He still wasn't sure what to make of her, having just met her, but she came across as fairly pleasant. Whilst that was a common trait in many women, he knew some were just plain bitches. At least he could cross that one off the list. And whilst he was a talker and doer, she seemed to be a thinker, keeping quiet unless she was answering a question. Somehow he didn't doubt that she was judging him as well. The first impression was always the one that lasted. Even though Anastasia got on with Urjasz now, their first impression of each other had damaged any potential for a close relationship. It was only when he helped her kill her sire that they truly got close, but with his recent departure, it felt like he was back to square one. So much had changed since he had left in such short time. She took her turn to explain a bit about herself, showing that she at least felt slightly comfortable around him. "An alpha eh? Where's your pack and don't you guys usually have a partner?" He asked her pretty directly, and realising this may be slightly too direct, he half corrected himself. "What I mean is it seems strange that you would be on your own. I would of thought that they'd want to protect you. I'm only guessing. Bit of a lone wolf me. What exactly did you mean by a one time deal?" He wasn't sure if she meant the hunter getting her or him helping her out. As with Anastasia, he now felt like he was back at square one, the bitch box still to be checked. Now that she was finding herself once more, he was finding her slightly harder to read. The car pulled up by some apartment on a street he vaguely knew. He was trying to place where he knew it from when she got out the car, stating something. He half caught it and didn't reply straight away. Paying the taxi driver and tipping him extra to forget anything he heard, Urjasz got out into the rain and joined Taryn. "I didn't quite catch that. Did you say I could screw you?" he said with a joking tone, a smile on his face. "Seriously, how do you mean? I've no intention of raping you or even harming you if that's what you mean." Looking around the street, he tried to place it once more and he waited for her to open the door, and to even invite him in. As he did so, it struck him. He knew this road. Turning once more, he looked across the road at an apartment with a for sale sign by it. He had killed another wolf in there.

Taryn Rosalee Jamestheres a she wolf in your closet open up and set her free theres a she wolf in your closet let it out so it can breath••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••"An alpha eh? Where's your pack and don't you guys usually have a partner?” He asked her and she raised an eyebrow to him. "What I mean is it seems strange that you would be on your own. I would of thought that they'd want to protect you. I'm only guessing. Bit of a lone wolf me. What exactly did you mean by a one time deal?" She took a deep breath and gave him the weight of her gaze. “Yeah, we come in pairs. But, he wasn’t doing his job. So, I removed him from his position." She stepped out of the car and on to the curb. Taryn clutched her hands to her chest and they were wet once more with the blood that had soaked her favorite shirt. She made her comment to him and as he glanced around the street, he made a comment of his own. "I didn't quite catch that. Did you say I could screw you?" he said with a joking tone, a smile on his face. "Seriously, how do you mean? I've no intention of raping you or even harming you if that's what you mean." She turned to face him on the sidewalk. The rain poured down her face as she stared in to his eyes. His comments were joking but they both knew what she had meant. If he double crossed her, if he betrayed the temporary trust she was instilling in him, she would kill him. The act may also take her own life, but it would be worth it to know that she had killed yet another man who had betrayed her. The message in her eyes was clear and when she felt she’d gotten her point across, she gave him a big smile, revealing her own set of sharp canines. “We’ll see about the screwing. After I’m healed of course.” She said to him and gave him a little wink. Taryn crooked her finger to him, calling him to follow her as she made her way up the brick stairs. She pulled a small set of keys from her inner pocket and unlocked the outer door to her building. Her apartment was on the third floor and it nearly took everything she had left just to make it up the fucking stairs. When they got to her door she stopped and turned to him again. “Be good.” She said to him, a half smile on her face. She unlocked the door and stepped inside, leaving it open for him to follow her. She immediately disarmed the alarm that was threatening to scream at any moment. Taryn’s apartment was sweet, simple, with lots of room for hidden weapons. Her tastes prior to the change had been quaint and homey. Now, her apartment looked like an ad in some fucking men’s magazine. Her furniture was all soft black leather with purple accents here and there. Her sword collection graced the walls at many points and was filled in by various daggers and other weapons of destruction. “I need to change.” She said to him, waving him to the couch. She went in to her bedroom, leaving the door open as she entered. Sure, she was modest, but she wasn’t stupid. She wasn’t going to shut the door, leaving the stranger mercenary alone in her living room full of weapons. She lifted her ruined shirt over her head and tossed it on the floor. Her shoulder and chest needed to be bandaged and she went to the bathroom to get the pain kit. Ok, so it was a “first aid” kit. But, she only used it when she was in pain and most of the damn time, the “cleaning” only made the pain worse. She dropped the kit on the bed and looked at herself in the mirror. Her bra was covered in blood and so were her jeans. She grabbed some gauze out of the kit and tried to start wrapping it around her midsection. This would have been easier if she had two good shoulders. “Fuck!” She said, louder than she’d wanted to.

When I am seen. I am feared. _______________________ Still caught on the thought of why he knew the street, he thought it best not to mention it. Several people died that night and hunters would of kept an eye on the area. For all he knew, they had been in the area and got tipped off about Taryn so he didn't think over it too long. Before she explained what he meant, he sneaked a comment in. "At a certain point, even if the one alpha male is dominant, at a certain point there's a younger wolf that is stronger, and everyone knows it. You'll find another one soon, I'm sure. I wouldn't be surprised if there was members of your pack who wanted the job. You know, for the power at least. I can think of another reason they might want it though." He was a flirt, but he was also an animal. Lust was a terrible weakness in a wolf's heart, the lust for flesh and lust for sex the greatest addiction a fledging would have to overcome. She explained what she meant; not by words, but that simple stare she gave. Had he not seen it before, he would of been left wondering what she meant, but a few years of seeing it certainly made it easier to understand. As if she was switching from personality to personality, she began to smile and spoke of another kind of screwing. Apparently it would seem she enjoyed a good tease as well. After motioning him in with her, she opened the door and he closed it behind them. Watching her, he simply followed her up the stairs, giving her a helping hand should she stumble at all. In all honesty he wasn't this kind this often, but he wanted to see where this was going. He found no reason to dislike her and she seemed to be truly thankful for his help. That moment in the station could of gone either way. Smirking as she told him to be good, he gave a nod of understanding and followed her in. Observing her routine, he looked from the alarm to the weapons around. "Reminds me of my place. Less weapons here though" he teased, poking a few swords on the wall. He was distracted by her telling him she needed to change and she left him in the room. Taking the seat he had been ushered towards, he couldn't help but look through the slightly open door, catching glimpses of her in the mirror. Soon he got fidgety and he got up, starting to look at the weapons around her room, playing the "have that, don't have that" game with them all. He was once more distracted from his thoughts at hand by her loud cursing. "Everything ok in there? Do you want a hand?"
