• • • • • • • • • • • • The night was young and the sky was dark. Clouds hung hight above shadowing out the moon and stars. Though still the sound of cars and people shouting could be herd through the city. Even on the darkest of all nights the place was still just as bright as i it where day time. Street lights, house lights, cars, trucks and all other lighting sources lit the pitch black up. It was as if people feared to live in true darkness now. And so they needed artificial light to keep them on the right path. Truly it was sad to watch as humans fears increased over the years. Their dependence on technology for safety was even growing.
All these things though made no difference in the world Vincent lived in, he was part of the darkest men on this earth. He barely ever paid any mind to anything other then his fights and himself. So as the world changed around him he barely even noticed, it was as if he just did not pay attention and nothing else mattered. But that was the truth nothing to him did matter he could care less about any one other then himself. After losing everything he had nothing left to care about besides himself.
This was to be the third fight of the week for Vincent and his name was starting to get around again. He had yet to lose a single street fight and refused to lose in the tournaments. So for his skill and his streak his name was now well known through the community of fighters. Most of the times it was fights with weak human but every so often one of the creatures of lore snuck in and joined the arena. Those where the ones he had the most fun with though. For they where the only ones who ever actually put up any real challenge.
Tonights fight was in the black market area. It had been set up by one of the sellers their and the name was never released for safety reasons. Tonights fight was Six fighters three rounds. So far the first two rounds had ended easily humans verse humans. But now it was Vincent verses some new guy. And from what could be seen the fight was going to be rather interesting.
As Vincent entered the stage his eyes scanned the new fighter taking in every aspect of his being. Thats when he knew that his opponent was not human but a vampire. Not a overly old one at that let alone experienced. Vincent was going to have to make this fight end quickly to be sure none of the humans realized what the two really where. If that happened Vincent would no longer be getting his cash flow. So that was something he was not going to allow.
The fight was not long lasted since the vampire was unexperienced and not overly used to his new found abilities yet. Vincent easily just beat the hell out of him being swift and making sure to hit as hard as he could. His goal was not to kill the poor thing just to make him give in. Luckily it worked after about ten minutes of fighting back and forth. The vampire stepped down knowing he had little to no chance of winning.
The fight was over and all that was left was the final fight which was to take place at another location. Three hours from now a text would be sent to the two, explaining where to meet and the time to be their. This was how it always went. For seven grand though it was easy money. As long as no one found out what Vincent was he would continue getting a huge amount of cash each weak.
The odd thing about it all is the fact he does not even need the cash, his fights are now just in pure fun. As well as it helps time pass by. Being immortal was something that dragged on and on, which made Vincent a little on the aggressive and testy side.
Now that the fight was over Vince knew he could not just stand around or he would get bored. So he took off through the streets. His eyes scanning everything that as for sale as he waited for his time to pass by. He barely paid mind to what was going on around him, so a few times he ran into some of the other people walking around the street. Shockingly their was a rather huge crowd gathered tonight, which was some what odd to see since it could draw in the police's attention.
After walking around Vincent grew bored and decided to just take a seat on one of the benches, shutting his eyes he relaxed a little and put his headphones over his ears and put the volume on low, so that way when his phone went off he would know about it. words 941 tagged For now who ever. outfit Just baggy jeans. Kara wandered down the path, a cool, polluted breezed bustling around her. She shouldered her bag again, after it being knocked off once again. She wasn’t one for busy streets, but it was easy pickings. She needed to find food, and the black market would probably have something or other she could steal. Biting her lip, Kara passed a crowed area, most likely fights, but she couldn’t care less. People fighting for money was stupid.
A deep sigh exited her maw as she scanned the area. It was when she picked up an interesting scent that she gave another look at the fighting. Walking backwards, she tiptoed, it certainly wasn’t human, but in amongst the sweat and smoke she couldn’t tell exactly what. As far as Kara could tell t wasn’t anyone she would probably be particularly interested in. Just another one like her, except they pass life’s given time by fighting.
It wasn’t long before the fighting was over, the crowds dispersed and Kara could finally pick up on that scent from earlier. Again she starting walking on her tiptoes, another sigh escaped her, she had lost it. But then again, what did she expect? She came to a bench, and fell back onto it, her bag swinging round to her lap. Rummaging through it Kara searched out her iPod, the scratched thing looking even worse than it did the other day. Knowing her luck it will have run out of battery power. She sighed yet again, plugging the headphones into her ears and the familiar sound of clicking could be heard as she searched for a song.
She breathed through her nose, taking in another deep breathe, just to see- and what did get? A nose full of the stench of bear. She coughed, gagging on the smell, any human would not have smelt it, but she sure as hell could. Kara turned her head to see the topless male, sitting next to her. She hadn’t noticed him before.

• • • • • • • • • • • • The smell of a wolf caught Vincents attention suddenly as he was sitting down. He ignored it as best as he could for now, but the smell was simply getting stronger by each passing second. For him it was not a bad smell just one he did not enjoy. For when he came across other were-beings he often tensed up and got ready for a fight since most of the time thats why they where following him. That and territory was a big thing amongst them. His eyes snapped open as the girl sat beside him. Tilting his head slightly towards her he looked her over through the corner of his eyes, she was small and he could tell she was not overly old maybe one hundred if that. Though like any one he would apply some credit she was decently attractive. But he was not here to see cute girls and make small talk. His goal was simply to get the call and finish his fight for the money. It was not until his ears twitched to the sound of her coughing that he actually made a sound period. Taking off his head phones he turned towards her. His facial expression rather cold, but yet also very calm. He wanted to say something but was not sure if it would be worth it to or not. The area was packed full of humans and even the slightest brawl between were's could devastate them. Standing up Vincent turned towards the girl and leaned down holding a smile on his face. Though it was fake he was going to try and be as polite as possible which was something he barely ever did. Clearing his throat he shut his eyes for a moment and then began to speak. "Little girls should be careful out here in the streets. But i guess your not a little girl now are you wolf?"His tone was cold and harsh, but that was just his normal tone for speaking. Had once been rather calm and nice but that was before being hunted by his own father figure along with hundreds of other hunters. Losing everything he cared for made him angry and cold. And it was something unlikely to ever change. words 502 tagged Kara outfit Just baggy jeans. No shirt. template This is made by Moi notes Lets see where this can go.

Kara sighed, the man next to him doing what most others did. ‘Don’t sweet talk me, and don’t even think about going there, bear.’ She returned, her face turning to meet his. She turned back, a slight shudder going down her back, his voice had been cold, harsh even, a hint that something not to great had happened to him. She lifted on leg, her arms moving round to hug her leg, ‘I’m not as weak as I may look, Hun.’ A daring grin spread across her face. They couldn’t have a little brawl here, for the risk of hurting any humans. He seemed cocky, and Kara hated cocky.
She turned again, her leg sliding over the other, ‘And what would such a fine strong bear like you be doing in this part of the human forest?’ she spoke mockingly, metaphors weaving into her sentence, a childish pout on her face. She took out her headphones, having not chosen a song, she had no intention of wasting the power. She took her bag, and placed it neatly in amongst her other stuff.

• • • • • • • • • • • • Vincent stared at the small girl.He was not sure if he wanted to laugh at her or if he should just mess with her a little and see how far he could push her. He did not feel like being a complete ass hole for once which was some what strange for him. So instead he decided to just tease her a little and see how far he could push her. "Oh sweet talking? Thats what im doing? Trust me dont flatter your self love i dont bother with your kind."Looking her over he smiled as he leaned down and took hold of her sides and lifted her into the air. A soft grin on his face. He liked to mess with people even more then he liked to fight. It was something he always enjoyed. But he also respected them as well, never making the mistake of thinking he is better then they are.And for that very reason he has stayed alive. "Your not that weak huh? Dont worry i would not hurt a girl. "After speaking he softly set her back down on the bench and grinned down at her. She was some what entertaining actually her next words almost brought a real smile to his face but he held it back just enough so it looked like he was mocking her. "Eh you know how bears are always looking for something to break and scavenge. Plus why would i want to miss a fight where i can make a few grand and barely even try?"Kneeling down in front of her he waited for her next smart little response. He was shockingly enjoying this little conversation of theirs. And luckily it was a girl that had started with him and not a vampire or a male. Since he swore he would never bring harm to a woman unless one hundred percent necessary. He was pretty calm and no where near losing his temper which for him was good. Plus the whole idea of being a little social for once was good. Clearing his throat a bit he looked down at her for a second then grinned as he had his own little question for her. "Well since i told you why i am here i guess i should be asking why is it a little cub has left its pack and ventured into the city? I can ensure you little red riding hood has long since gone."words 573 tagged For now who ever. outfit Just baggy jeans. No shirt. template This is made by Moi notes Lets see where this can go.

]‘Yup. Sweet talking. That’s exactly right. What else can you call it? Eh? Well. Except for that attitude of yours.’ She folded her arms, not bothering to look at the male. Then, she squealed slightly, his hands going around her sides and lifting her up. ‘Hey!’ She slapped his hand, ‘bad bear!’ She exclaimed, not worrying about any looks that were fired their way. As she was placed down, a pout crossed her face, when he spoke next though, it bought a smile to her face, her not having as much control as he did. ‘Heh. ‘Suppose that’s all you’re good at isn’t it. A good ol’ bashing to the head.’ She put a hand to his forehead as she spoke her last words, pushing it slightly. She withdrew her hand again, placing it in her lap.
‘What am I doing here?’ She thought, a finger to the corner of her mouth, looked up to the covered moon, then put her finger to the man’s nose, tapping it a couple of times, ‘That’s a woman’s business.’ oh yeah. I’m just here to steal a couple of things, food, maybe something I can sell myself. she thought, yeah, she wasn’t about the tell someone she had only just met that she was there to steal. She turned her gaze to scan the male. The fact that he was topless had completely escaped her, but now she had the time to take in the details. ‘Oh. And this little cub doesn’t have a pack.’

• • • • • • • • • • • • "Well then im sorry i thought sweet talking was how guys got girls to like them? Oh well maybe things have changed in the past hundred years." He spoke to her now softly with a calm tone. All aggression left his voice and the cold bitterness laid at rest for now. He saw no reason to be crude with her since she seemed rather easy to get along with. Though she was a complete stranger still he saw very little reason to act all bug and tough and try to scare her away. After setting her down he felt her hand push against his head and going along with it he nodded a little. She was right in a small way. He had most definitely taking some head blows in the past. But that was something that made little difference to him being thick skulled and all. "Well i guess so.. But hey what else is a nice thick skull for right?" She soon answered his next question though and the whole idea of being tapped on the nose was rather odd to him, thus making his nose crinkle up a little to her touch. But he could not hold it in and a soft laugh slipped from his lips. "Ahh i see so woman things take place in a area that most people would rather kill you then get your name? Something dont seem quite right their young lady. If i should guess i would think your up to something? Maybe im wrong but to me it seems like your here for something"Walking to her left he returned to sitting on the bench. Tilting his head he had caught her glances and he could not help but smirk a little to himself. Normally though he prefered just to stay out of these types of things. But three hours to waste what could it hurt to sit here and talk with a complete stranger who happened to be a girl and a were-wolf? Well he figured it could not hurt at all which was why he let his guard down and actually was being civil. "Oh im sorry to hear that. But either do I. I prefere to actually stick to myself and keep as far away from others as i can ends up being alot more safe. Plus i dont really want hunters to find people who they did not know before. " Sitting back he leaned back and looked up into the sky, it was still dark out but the street lights where doing a great job at making everything visible. Taking a soft breath he sat back up and turned towards her once more. "Any way since we seem to be conversing im guessing it would be proper if I told you my name? Introductions are always a good thing. So my name is Vincent.. And who might you be?"words 532 tagged Kara outfit Just baggy jeans. ‘Ha! Unlikely! Men never change.’ She laughed, she was relieved that he was actually a normal, well, kind of, normal person, and felt glad she had actually came to meet him. She grinned at him, ‘Well, thick skulls aren’t such a good thing. Smaller brains.’ She tapped her temple, giving an indication to where the brain was, mocking the fact that he had practically said he wasn’t the brightest spark in the box. A sigh escaped her, a small frown creasing her forehead, she must have sighed half a million times in one day. She then turned her head, looking at the man next to her, ‘Well, I know how to look after myself, and what if I am up to something? Worried are we?’ She stretched her arms upwards, letting out a yawn, ‘I’m not all that fussed about being alone. Personally I think it is best at times. Especially when I have a job to do.’ She paused, as if wandering how much too actually tell him. She turned her head to look out into the crowds, the amount of people that were there to buy things, and/ or sell drugs and god knows what else- bemused Kara. She had never been to such a place, close, but not quite.
‘Well. Nice to meet you Vincent-‘ She held out her hand, fingers slightly separated, ‘I’m kara.’

• • • • • • • • • • • • "Ah i see so all men have to remain exactly the same as they where when they where young eh?" He looked at her and grinned of course he understood what she had meant but he liked to mess with people all the same and he was enjoying talking with her in general. The two had been firing come backs and snood remarks a each other for some time now. And it was actually keeping both parties at least somewhat occupied for the time being. In Vincents case this as great it meant he was not hunting or fighting for the time. "Ah yes a brain i forgot about those.... Eh any way who needs em right? All that matters in this day an age is to be able to survive. I am very suitable to live for a long long time." He was not going to lie about it he knew he was not the smartest person out their, but he was not retarded either. He knew what he needed to know and that was all that mattered in his world. If he survived a day he was happy. Leaning back once again he shut his eyes and thought for a moment about what she said, something about him being worried. That was different him being concerned for some one else but himself? Was it something that could ever happen? He actually had to think about it her question sparked so many thoughts in his mind. "Well you never know i could be? It is a bad city and you are tiny and young. So just maybe i am?"After making his response he gave her a gentle smile and sat back looking towards the huge crowd of people. He was so used to it every day he came here for the same thing. It was the worse part of new york and the most dangerous. Even for him the place held great dangers, mostly hunters was his biggest threat. Sure enough their were plenty of hunters in the black market picking up the latest weapons to kill of those different then themselves. Turning his attention back to Kara when she spoke he nodded and took her hand gently in his own. Making her hand look like that of a child's next to his own. "Ah well the pleasure is all my own Kara. "

‘Well, most of the time they do, and by what I have seen, you have done exactly that’ She gave a curt nod of her head, ‘thank you for proving my point.’ She smirked, She looked over her shoulder awkwardly, the crowds of people making her feel uncomfortable, but when he became to speak again, they melted away, and she was back talking to just this one man with no one else around.
‘Brains come in very handy.’ She paused, thinking for a moment, ‘Especially when you’re trying to outsmart someone.’ Again, that grin from earlier spread across her face. ‘Hmmm. Yeah, I sometimes lose track of the time.’ She looked up at the black, cloudy sky, her face serious for a moment as she tried to recall what day it was.
Kara gave a sideways grin, her head tilted to the side slightly, ‘Tiny? And young?- Brave choice of words for an old bear.’ She joked, there age in comparason, very different, then she looked around a fake frown on her face, ‘And can this really be called a ‘bad city?’ she turned back, the frown on her face gone, ‘You haven’t seen London mate!’
Kara watched as Vincent lent back, her legs coming up so that she sat cross legged, sitting on the bench sideways so that her body faced the tall male. He did have a point though. About it being a bad city. So many hunters seemed to swarm the place, it made Kara’s job harder, not only did she do the hunters a favour, but they hunted her as well. For a split second an upset look dominated her face, before she realized and shook her head in dismissal of her thoughts.
Kara shook Vincent’s hand, the smile, once again, spreading across her face, ‘Oh no, I must say the pleasure is all mine.’ She poked out her tongue, ‘I’ve never met a bear before.’

"Ahh but my dear immortality is different the true youth. You see even as i remain young on the outside over time i grow wiser in the inside. " Looking down at her he gave a soft smirk. He really was only trying to mess with her a little now though he was still rather edgy any way waiting for his phone to go off.
"Mmm.... Well brains are useful i still dont see why we need the entire thing when we only use a small fraction of it in a lifetime." Looking up along with her he noticed that the clouds were just now starting to part, so for once it might turn out to be a nice night.
He rather enjoyed it when he could count the stars and see the moon. But it seemed for the past few days it was just nothing but pure darkness in the sky. "Ahh so do i actually but when you have nothing but time why worry right?"
Looking out at the crowd he noticed two of the street kids taking a mans wallet from his back pocket, it was always like this down here, only the strong could live and those who did not understand the ways of the street died off rather quickly. "This city grows more dangerous by the day, not just from hunters but every other being here as well. This city is fueled by greed and hate."
Standing up after she shook his hand he stretched out a little and then let out a soft yawn. "Well besides all this it still does not explain what such a young beauty is doing in a place like this."

Kara laughed, ‘Oh the words of a wise man.’ She said, sarcasm lacing her voice. A frown spread across her face as she noticed the look he wore. ‘You seem worried? What would a bear like you be worried about then? Eh?’ A content sigh escaped her as she turned her head back up to look at the clearing sky. The moon and the many small stars now becoming visible. The night seemed a lot lighter now that she could see them.
‘Well...Over time we will use them more. And if you were smart-like you say you are- you would know we actually use a fair amount of our brains.’ A teasing grin spread across her face. And she turned her head back to look at Vincent, her back slouching slightly as she leaned on her hands as they rested on the bench in front of her.
Kara nodded, ‘I guess, but still.’ Her face turned serious for a moment, ‘it would be nice to be normal, not long ago I actually didn’t mind human kind because I used to be one. But..now they’re just so...Annoying! And they reek!’ her face wore that smile once again as Vincent carried on speaking.
Kara looked to what Vincent was looking at, and couldn’t help but giggle. ‘Boy, you sure do see a lot of that around.’ She turned her attention back to what he was saying, ‘Most cities are like that. And I can handled myself like I said.’ She paused, ‘Hunters I can handle. I do it a lot.’ She grinned, ‘I’ve had practise.’
Kara sighed, ‘If you must know-‘ she got up, and, going onto her tiptoes, she put a hand up so she could whisper in his ear, ‘I’m here to steal stuff.’ She went back to standing normally, winking at Vincent as she went to sit back down again.

Looking at the girl he smiled and shrugged a bit to her question. It was funny how she kept calling him a bear. But she still was a little on the young side and did not understand fully just how careful you had to be in this world, but luckily he was not worried about anything no he was simply just anxious. "Oh their are plenty of things in this world of ours i worry about but at this time im not worried i am just anxious is all. "
Pretty much he was not so fond of their topics about brain usage and such any more. But yet he did not feel like saying so and did not wish to come off as a ass hole either. So his plan was to simply wait on her next reply and then he would go from that quickly just to stay off from the whole subject on smarts. It was not something he was overly fond of talking about really, as for it made him feel a little less smart each time he did so.
"Yes human kind is slowly fading, greed mostly has taken over and soon it will be the death of their kind. From what i know their is a war going to brew soon over the sides. Me personally am not taking either but for the extermination of the human race.... Well lets just say i love the idea but think it is a bit on the umm... Well crude side i guess?"
Looking back down at the ground he shut his eyes and let out a soft breath, he really hated the humans and yet all so long ago he was one of them. Over the years he had changed so much and it even made him wonder what another few hundred years would do to his mind set. Looking up he cocked his head to the side as she told him why he was here, he was not going to tell her he hated thief's but also figured he should tell her not to do it here.
"Oh I see... You know people who get caught steeling here have a tragic end.. Iv seen it before and not every one in this market is human so be very careful Their are people at these stands hired to take out thief's and other types of people. "

She raised an eyebrow, Vincent seeming to find her amusing. ‘What’s so funny?’ She asked, worried about why he found her that way. Kara shrugged, ‘Well. Then what are you anxious about?’ She asked her curiosity over coming her sense of privacy for the male. She could be slightly too curious at times, and most of the time she got nothing out of her questions. But still, it was worth a try.
A soft sigh escaped her maw, lifting a leg onto the bench she wrapped her arms around it in a loose hug, the warmth of the body part warming her slowly numbing hands.
‘You can’t really blame them though. I mean, I blame government personally. They always say they are solving a problem, but their idea of solving something is by all out war. Some places in such a state you need greed to fuel your survival. I must say, I would love to see humans die, but like you say...Crude..’
She stretched her arms upwards before returning to her seat on the bench after telling Vincent what her plans were, the quiet sound of a yawn exiting her maw.
‘I know the dangers. I have seen people get caught, trust me, most other places know me, so I have to let the commotion die down again before I can go back. This is the only place. And it’s my only option, I can’t go without food, and I only take what I need- generally.’

Looking at her he gave yet again one more shrug before turning his attention down to his feet. "Well you keep calling me bear and well its just funny is all." right after her next question the ringing sound of his cell going off caught his attention. Which for him was always something that was good to hear.
Pulling his cell from his side he opened the message and read it carefully. Looking up at her he smiled and placed his phone back into the case. "Well f you really wish to know then you might as well come with me? Its up to you but it is not going explain anything unless you do."
Standing up he started to walk away his pace staying slow as he walked down the small road. He did not bother to respond on her comment about the war and everything, he figured she was not going to understand it just yet since she was still ever so young. But still it did bother him on her view of it. Greed was not something needed but something that ruined lives.
"Well then you better just stay safe my young friend. It would be a shame to see something awful happen to you when you can get things by simply asking the right people." After speaking he stopped and faced her with a soft smile.
Then turned back around and headed down one of the left side ally ways. The next fight was not overly far from this point. But still it was going to be a interesting match. For what vincent knew he was up against a vampire but still he was not worried.
