Kenzy Jane stood silently in front of an old display. She wasn't completely looking at it. No not really. Her eyes were softly glazed over in a half dazed look as she stood. Her hands were folded behind her back, just above the dark blue bow that accented the black sleeveless dress that clung to her frail looking body. Upon her feet were knee high boots with purple laces. Silently she shifted her weight to her right foot her head canting to the side faintly as she did.
The sound of foot-steps snapped her back to reality. When she turned her head, no one was there. Some how that didn't surprise her. Lately, her mind had been playing all kinds of tricks like that. She'd hear someone talk, see someone walk by but two seconds later there would be nothing. Honestly at this point she was used to it. She had stopped questioning long ago. Slowly she stepped back her hands un linking as she walked casually to the next display.
A faint yawn passed her lips. Why was she even here? She had no reason to be here. She knew about all the displays, learned what was needed to know. Yet she seemed to keep finding herself back here.. Maybe it was the lack of people, this place never seemed that busy. Not to mention it felt pretty safe. Silently she pulled her hair up into a pig tail and tied it off into a loose bun. Well, with any amount of luck today would be far more eventful then past days. Honestly, she was feeling a little lonely and seeking a bit of companionship. She'd been alone in that house for a few months now and she was finally -semi- ready to make a friend.
She could only hope she wouldn't end up dead because of her want. She shuttered at the thought and moved onto the next display once again. Why did her mind even have to wonder in that direction? She felt so uneasy about standing here alone now. She bit her lip faintly and lightly drummed her fingers on her thighs. Maybe she should just go home.

Going home would have been a wise idea, but alas, humans weren't known for following their gut instincts at times. Ever since technology rose up, they felt safe, secure; and that nothing in the world could possibly bring them any harm. They had guns, bombs, gases-everything seemed to make them invincible. With all of these advancements, they forgot one thing: the immortals. They wandered amongst the mortal populace unseen, and rarely heard of at that. Mankind had forgotten what had kept them living in fear for far too long, and it was time to remind them of what truly lurked in the dark.
For now, The Blood Countess was content in calmly strolling through the museum and staring at any historical information about her favorite war: The Civil War. Fascinating squabble it was, and the bloodshed was absolutely amazing. Her hands slid into the pockets of her black trench coat whilst she passed some of the exhibits, the heels of her boots clicking against the freshly mopped tile. The place was unusually vacant this evening. Did news spread about The Blood Dynasty's mayhem or were humans that careless with all this knowledge at hand? Pitiful.
"Hmmm," the sunglasses she wore, which hid her unnaturally blue eyes, slid down the bridge of her nose to help her get a better look at the figurines behind the glass. "She didn't look a thing like that," Elizabeth mused.

Kenzy Jane was silent for the most part, careful to not let the sound of foot steps startle her. This was a public place after all. She let out a soft breath in hopes of calming herself then she slowly turned heading to the next display. When her gaze fell on the girl Kenzy Jane tensed, but only for a split second. She quickly adverted her gaze to the carefully placed display in front of her and did some mental breathing. Just another person she reminded herself silently her hands folding behind her back again. Curse her being so jumpy,She just needed to relax, for once.
Silently, she bit her lip and stepped to the next display only putting her closer to the stranger who was now talking to herself. Kenzy Jane did her best to ignore it and just read the plate that sat below the display. She'd know soon enough who the 'she' the stranger was referring to. She almost didn't want to think about it, she already had that 'oh my god I'm in danger' feeling setting into her stomach thinking about what the girl could possibly be talking about only made it worse. Carefully, she turned on her heals heading to the next display - or that was the hope at least.
The rather graceful teen ended up doing something much more... well 'graceful' Shortly after she turned she stepped forward, but somewhere between her next step she found herself loosing balance and tumbling to the floor causing her to land hand and knee style just a few inches to the left of the girl. "S-sorry" she said softly.

Why must these humans get appearances wrong all the time? Elizabeth's lips curled into a displeased frown at the lifeless eyes of the dummy staring aimlessly into hers, There's always something missing. Always. The Blood Countess released a soft sigh through her nose, and pulled away from the glass screen keeping her from the historic display. At least these pathetic beings got the history facts right for the most part. If I even bothered to open a museum for human history I'd at least get the important details straight, and if any historians have anything to say about it, I'll just cut off their damned tongues.
Elizabeth's train of thought was interrupted in the form of a human falling to her left. As a natural reflex, her hand dove into her trench coat for her katana; but once her piercing blue eyes laid on her, the spidery digits slid away from the hilt. Working up over a simple, weak human? Had she lost her touch? "Be sure to not let yourself be so careless next time," she snapped, and spun around on one hell, briefly showing off her weapon in the process, and strode down the hall. Spilling human blood in this place wouldn't bode well.
Or would it...?

Kenzy Jane slowly pushed herself to her feet as the other woman spoke. "Well, I was just itching to throw myself down at your feet and worship your wise being." she spoke, her tone sounding nearly honest. Oh dear... was all she could think after it clicked that she had even spoken. Such a careless mouth she had. She only hoped it sounded sincere. In a way it was, Kenzy Jane had a feeling this girl was one of them. Naturally, she assumed her feeling to be wrong but when she caught glimpse of the weapon she couldn't help but think maybe she was right this time.
She bit her lip faintly and carefully dusted off her dress silently cursing herself for not just staying quite. She honestly hoped the girl hadn't heard it, knowing her luck. She was wrong, carefully her gaze drifted back to the window display that the stranger had once been looking at. Who in here was depicted wrong? Or was the lady just crazy? Kenzy Jane had no way of knowing, and she wasn't about to go up to the lady to ask. She bit her lip glancing to her side to see if she was gone

"Well, I was just itching to throw myself down at your feet and worship your wise being."
Elizabeth slowly came to a halt in her footfalls, and in a fluid motion, turned her head to look over her shoulder at the human, her eyes flashing in irritation. Serious or not, The Countess did not like such talk in her direction and would not put up with it no matter what. The temptation to tear off the human's limbs one by aching limb was so delicious...
"Watch what you say, kid," the words escaped through her lips with a hiss, "it could cost you your life had the situation been different."
The sneer slowly turned into a taunting, sinister smirk, and the sunglasses slid further down the bridge of her nose to show she was eying something just above one of the displays: a camera. There was no sound recording, and thus, she had no issues with what she said. The icy gaze went from the camera, to the girl, the camera, and back to her again. That alone should be hint enough- the camera was the only thing keeping her alive right now. A bone chilling laugh vibrates from her vocals, and she resumes her stroll through the museum.
Would the little girl scare?

Kenzy Jane shifted her gaze back to the girl. She bit her lip a shiver of fear passing her body. She watched silently as the girl went to take her leave. "hey..." she called out then bit her lip again " I didn't mean it to be rude.. I just.." she hesitated then slowly, dared to follow the stranger. " You seem to know a lot about history, and I want to.. learn about it." She tried her hands trembling faintly as she worked up the nerve to follow Elizabeth a few more feet before stopping. Her blue eyes shifted her gaze to one of the displays. Her heart was pounding so loud in her ears she was almost sure the other would be able to hear it.
Carefully she took in a small breath trying to calm herself. " I'm Kenzy Jane" She offered meekly hating herself for the weakness of her voice. Carefully she licked her lips and folded her hands behind her back again, Why was she even bothering? At this rate she'd get herself killed. Her only hope was that she could get on the girls good side. She hoped at least her mind was already scrambling trying to put details together about the girl trying to find a common ground - in case this history thing fell threw. Silently she ran her fingers through her hair and just waited.

Ah, ignorance; it certainly was not bliss. Did that human really overlook the obvious threat that she sent her way, or was the glancing at the camera and then her not hint enough of her intentions? Well, Kenzy did not know she was a murderous vampiress, so, that would be enough of an excuse. For now.
The Countess slowly came to a stop, but did not look over her shoulder Kenzy. How should she handle this situation? Should she scare the wits out of the child or play along until she grows bored of her presence? With those cameras looming, there really wasn't much of an option here.
"History is not something you learn in one day," she replied in a smooth tone, "it takes many, many years of studying, research and patience to fully grasp the knowledge of man's history."
It's a shame that history repeated itself, thought Amoura, but humans were never known for their intelligence; they don't live long enough to see that.
