Where Your Abilities Fall
The Character Talents
::STRENGTHS::
1. Close Combat
2. Stamina
3. Stealth
::SUMMARY::
Firstly, is close combat. Demetri learned it's main components by himself and perfected them. He has learned a bit more complicated things from others. He perfers to block more then strike back. If the situation proves to be too troublesome for just blocking, Demetri is not afriad to strike. He fairs well against multiple opponents; however, any more then 3 and it begins to get complicated.
Secondly, is stamina. Due to the fact Demetri is a vampire, he is able to outlast normal humans by a good amount. Most of his stamina comes from the long jogs he enjoys to do in the evenings. He doesn't compete against others competitivly, but when someone throws out an opinion like "I can run longer then you" Demetri can't deny the urdge to rub it in their face. He isn't nice about it when he beats them though. Demetri has yet to run into someone who can outlast him.
The third strength, and the last, is stealth. It's not so much the vampire side of him, but more of Demetri just finding good spots. Often does Demetri dress in dark clothing, making it easy to move around at night. His step is often light and careful. Even when Demetri acts casual, his movement is always carefully planned. Rarely is he caught off-guard.
::WEAKNESES::
1. Water
2. Sweets (ie. candies)
3. His LEFT eye
::SUMMARY::
Demetri cannot swim. He's never learned, nor does he wish to. He does enjoy watching it in the evenings and mornings because of the way the light dances off the surface. He'll never set foot in water unless absolutly necessary. He has no problem going into shallow water or pools though. Demetri won't get on small boats or ships either, though if he does he throws a fit.
Probably the only way to gain temporary trust from Demetri, is to offer something sweet. Chocolat, fruits, hard candies, anything you can possibly think of, he'll love. They are a good way to distract him, to drag his attention elsewhere. As silly as it sounds, it really does work. Though if he's seriously set on something, distracting him in that way will often fail. It may snap his attention off you for a second, but it's not usually enough to provide an opening.
An injury given to him by his closest friend. Deceased now, but still brings up horrible memories. As young children, they were inseparable. They did everything together and rarely left each other’s side except to head home. When news of Demetri's real self reached his friend, everything changed. His friend was a vampire hunter, and Demetri was his target. The fight lasted for hours. Demetri running for his life with his friend hot on his trail. The injury that left his eye almost blind burns a bright pink scar. It often brings questions and suspicions from others.
The More Human Side of Things
Human Appearance
::HAIR::[/size]
Shaggy and black
::EYES::
Emerald Green
::HEIGHT::
6'1"
::WEIGHT::
170lbs
:MARKS::
Scar over left eye
X-like burn mark branding into his right shoulder blade. Magic had made it black in color.
::SKIN TONE::
White, not pale, but not tanned either
::BODY TYPE::
The in-between of average and muscular. He's not heavily muscled and not exactly thin and boney either.
::CLOTHES::
Dresses often in dark clothing. Browns, blacks, grays, deep reds, etc. His jeans are usually dark blue in color, faded and usually holey. It's rare that Demetri dresses in lights. Shirts are often tank-tops and long sleeved button-ups.
::SUMMARY::
His eyes are cat-like, and emerald in color. They shine brightly at night and are severely sensitive to sudden bright lights. Sunlight is often too much to handle so whenever Demetri decides to take stroll during the day he's seen wearing dark sunglasses. His hair often droops in his face. It's not dirty, but rather clean. He just doesn't bother to keep in brushed often enough.
Some people may call him gorgeous, others creepy, and some may just see him as a normal person. His skin is smooth with little marks. His face, half marked by the scar of a blade. His clothes often speak his personality. He isn't well-informed of fashion, which is why he dresses in dull clothing. Not much color is applied to what he wears.
Though Demetri does have the ability to look presentable. His clothes aren’t tattered, but they aren’t neat and formal either. They're simply casual. Not a lot of thought goes into them when Demetri chooses what to wear. It's mostly just whatever his hands grab first. Often times what he wears one day is what he wears to bed, getting home late and worn out.
Personality is Everything

3. He doesn't normally show a lot of emotion
::BLESSINGS::
1. Once befriended, he's very loyal
2. He treats others kindly unless given a reason not to
3. Helpful
::SUMMARY::
Despite Demetri's strange attitude and the way he avoids talking about certain things, he's actually a pretty good vampire. He's not a threat unless needed. Demetri has an open heart, but it's hard to gain his trust. He may act friendly to others, but often doesn't trust them fully. Demetri suspects everyone, some more than others so when approaching him, its smart to watch what is said. If help is needed, Demetri will be glad to provide assistance. His face is often held in a calm expression, he rarely smiles.

::HISTORY::
Memories of Demetri's childhood are almost forgotten. The age of 5 is when memories are clear as ice. That was when Demetri met his soon to be friend. His very first human friend. The back-story of both was hidden. Darion, Demetri's friend, was beginning his training of a vampire hunter and sworn to hide his true identity. Demetri, the son of the vampires, chose not to tell him. The thought had yet to occur to him.
Darion and Demetri where close. Possibly the closest two friends could get. Never did they leave the others side unless it was to return home after a long day. They did everything together and would rather hang out instead of go to school. It was only when Darion started to grow older that Demetri started to see less and less of him. Both looked almost like twins. Same hair, clothes style, and attitude. The only difference was their eyes.
Both aged to 10 only a few months apart. Demetri was beginning to get lonely because of Darion's constant absence. Demetri went to school, Darion did not. When Demetri would go to his friends home, the only answer he would get was that Darion was away. The days they did see each other were almost silent. They didn't talk much to each other because both were feeling pressured to tell the other about who they were and what was going on. Demetri spent the times he wasn't in the presence of Darion, to practice combat.
Demetri taught himself a lot of the basics and a few more complicated tactics, but it was, at the time, just used to pass time. He was surprised when Darion had started to show him more. Suspicion didn't arise until Demetri caught Darion out late one night, not dressed in his usual clothing.
The following day was when Darion had told Demetri what he was. Demetri kept silent, scared now. Could a vampire and a vampire hunter be friends? The answer was no, no they couldn't. Demetri had decided to come clean about who he was to Darion. Thinking since Darion had told him what he was, that everything would be okay between them. They weren't though.
As Demetri described himself, Darion began to look more and more pale, scared, and unsure. Darion's destiny obviously won over their long friendship because he had drawn his blade. Demetri, unsure of what to do, stood there only deciding it was smart to run when Darion swung the blade at him the first time. The chase didn't last as long as the actual fight did, but when Demetri broke loose and attacked Darion, that was when he backed down. Not before giving Demetri a parting gift before death took him.
When Demetri arrived home, he found his parents dead. That was when his life began to crumble. He forced himself to finish school, grabbed what he could from his parent’s savings, found a small apartment and lived a life of isolation for years. The age of 18 was when things began to get better. He still lives in the same apartment and he's begun to open up a bit more.
Demetri doesn't have anyone who he can call a friend. He does hang out with a few people now though. He keeps the picture of him and his parents hung up on the wall in his bedroom. He doesn't look at it much, but often thinks about them. Now at the age of 19, he spends most of his time outside. He finds nature very soothing and enjoys quiet locations. He works loosely as a PI, helping police with investigations and sometimes helping others, like humans.
Almost every night, even when it's raining, Demetri can be seen jogging or running outside. Not because he wants to build up his stamina, but because he just enjoys it. During the day he also spends time outside. Not as much as at night because of the sunlight. Those dark sunglasses don't help as much as you'd think they would.
When Demetri isn't jogging, he's found in quiet areas doodling in a sketch book. Preferably he likes to draw landscapes, but will sometimes draw a few animals that he saw nearby. If not sketching, then he's reading. Demetri is fascinated with non-fiction books, mostly books about nature or the past. He's surprised on how a lot of them are based around dinosaurs and how they were discovered. Humans can be confusing creatures sometimes.

::RP EXAMPLE::Demetri sighed as Olivia spoke. When she asked her question, Demetri didn't know how to answer. What were they to do? The wilderness is no place to wonder through. They'd have to find some place where they could stay low profile for awhile. A remote area possibly, but not too remote. Two strangers suddenly appearing is a small area asking for a place to stay would raise suspicioun. Getting too close to the King would be dangerous. They could head for the forest, but there were barely any villages in that direction, it was too isolated from the world. The only company they would find there would be beasts. The Hills? Perhaps. It seemed the best way to go. Demetri knew of a small village at the base of the mountains that were against the rule of the King. That would be a good place to head towards.
First thing was first though. Demetri looked down at the stuffed sack Jewl had left for them. He crouched down by it, digging through it till he found the plastic sacks of food. They weren't big, but they weren't small either. One held vegies, they others held slices of thick bread and cheese, and a few treats like cookies. They had to be careful with this. Once they got into more vegitation, there will be more animals, perhaps hunt for food.
Demetri removed two slices of bread and cheese and handed one pair to Olivia. He tied off the sack and sat down by it, fiddling with his peice of bread.
"It seems more fitting to head towards a small area. A village of sorts. I know of one from a map I once saw at a merchant's shop. There is a village nestled at the the base of the mountains. I don't remember detailed directions, but I don't think it would be too hard to find. Zen probably knows these areas well so his help we'd be grateful to have." He went on, telling Olivia about his thoughts he had before about what to do.
He teared off a small chunk of the bread and handed it to Zen, who plucked it from his palm.
