Where Your Abilities Fall
The Character Talents
::STRENGTHS::
1. Gun Handling
2. Self-defense
3. Judging Others
4. Super-Human Senses
5. Super-Human Strength and Speed
6. Enhanced Healing
::SUMMARY::
Fresh out of college for criminal justice and straight into work, Audrey has picked up quite a fair of bit of use out of the training. She worked tirelessly to make every bit of her training the best she could, and she’s come out with a fair bit of useful talents. One such talent is her use of guns. She can use a wide variety of guns, from pistols to shot guns and snipers, though she is far better with a hand gun than anything else. Her accuracy is above average for a human and has only gotten better with her sharper sight.
Her self-defense is pretty good for someone who knows how to fight. She’s by no means a wonderful, flawless fighter, but she knows how throw a good punch or kick. Extended fighting is not her thing, just defending herself from attacks and dispatching a foe with a few quick moves, at least long enough for her to recover her gun or get it reloaded. Audrey’s training has also made her quite good at being able to judge others. After talking with a person for a few minutes, she can tell from their body language and demeanor whether or not they’re a good person. She’s always been good at reading people, and her training just enhanced that.
With the recent attack, everything about Audrey has become better than ever. Her senses have gotten better tenfold. She can hear things she wasn’t able to hear before, she can see further and more clearer than ever, and her sense of smell has become better. The only ones that have seemed to remain the same are her senses of touch and taste. Those really weren’t all that important, anyway. Meat seems to taste a whole lot better than usual, but that’s it. All of this has only increased her reflexes and judgment skills. Her aim has gotten better with her sight, and her sense of hearing has made it easier for her to pick out bad guys and other such things.
The most beneficial thing that has happened to her was her increased strength and speed. She was never the strongest or the fastest, but now, should she need to, she could pull a wall apart or flip a car with only a little effort. She only ever does such things on accident, as she doesn’t really realize this yet. However, her speed is something she uses any chance she can get. She can get from one to another faster than a car can, and in her cheetah form, her speed is unmatched in any cases, moving faster than anything anyone can follow. It is a common asset that cheetahs have. Wild ones can reach 60 miles an hour. Audrey can quadruple this, going from 0 to 240 in half a second, and only getting faster from there.
Audrey’s ability to heal quickly is a great little quirk. Thinks such as cuts and scrapes and bruises heal nearly instantly. The more severe of a wound, the longer it takes. Bullet wounds, for example take a while depending on how deep the wound goes and whether or not the bullet is still inside her. Broken bones take the longest—depending on the severity of the wound—ranging from a week to four weeks. However, if she were to shift into her cheetah form, any wound she has heals during the shift, and when she’s back in her human form, everything is just the way it was. Any scars she has are also fixed during the shift.
::WEAKNESES::
1. Control
2. Debilitating Migraines
3. Cinnamon
4. Independence
5. Anger
6. Hesitant
::SUMMARY::
Her control is hardly anything to boast about. It doesn’t matter if she’s in cheetah form or not. However, the control differs from form to form. In her cheetah form, she cannot control herself at all. She is completely at the mercy of her animal instincts. Though, her extreme vision of justice makes it harder for her cheetah form to kill in cold blood, only killing what it needs to survive. In her human form, she doesn’t have a lot of control over her speed and strength. She doesn’t realize she has the power, so when she tries to do something at her strongest, she goes overboard, and the same goes for her speed. She might just be trying to get to her car quickly, and she ends up there in five seconds where it would take her half a minute.
Because of her new senses, she often gets horribly painful migraines. The bright lights, and the loud sounds, and even extremely strong scents overloads her brain and makes her head pound. She gets them at least once a day, and they get so bad sometimes that she won’t move because even walking makes her head throb. Migraine medicine only works for a little while, as her higher body temperate burns off the medicine quickly, and her overall better stronger systems makes it wear off within half an hour, giving her only little relief. She often wears sunglasses throughout the day and sometimes the night, and that makes it easier on her from day to day.
Ever since she was a little girl, Audrey has been allergic to cinnamon. Even a little bit of it in her food made her throat swell up and she would have to go to the hospital. Now, however, it has gotten even worse. Not only having the cinnamon in her system or in her food will make her go into anaphylactic shock, but now the scent of the cinnamon will make her nauseous and unable to breathe at times. It’s not as bad as when she actually consumes it, but now even the scent of cinnamon buns, French toast, or anything else with cinnamon causes her pain. All of these migraines and the effects of cinnamon really doesn’t do for her, because she is a very independent person, and she does so hate it when she needs people’s help. She would much rather be the helper.
Audrey can sometimes have a bad temper problem. She’s good at controlling her anger when someone does something that just irritates her, it’s only when she finds someone doing something wrong and such that she gets angry. She berates them without remorse, and if someone does something against the law in front of her—even when she’s off-duty—she has to do something about it. If it wasn’t because she was so hesitant about using her gun, she would shoot a lot of people. However, when it comes to using her guns, she does not like using it unless she is 100% sure that they deserve to be shot. It ends up getting her into trouble from time to time, and there have been a few close calls.

::SKIN TONE::

::BODY TYPE::
Athletic but curvy
::CLOTHES::
Mostly things that are easy for her to move in, or her uniform.
::SUMMARY::
There is nothing very unusual about her. She’s just a little short for someone her age, standing at just over five feet tall and weighing in at one hundred and seven pounds, you probably wouldn’t think of her as very dangerous. She has an almost innocent look about her despite her seriousness, with lightly tanned skin and soft features. Her deep brown eyes are true to the rumors: they don’t show much emotion in them, and there is almost no depth to them. Her dark brown hair is slightly contrasted to her skin, and it is so dark it could actually be called black. Her slight figure is toned from her exercising, but it’s not lacking in the right curves.
Her body has no marks on it, meaning no tattoos and no scars. However, fo a few days after the attack, her arm had been badly wounded from the bites. She’d had to have thirteen stitches, but she had to pull them out herself when the wound healed in a shorter amount of time than had been expected. She was surprised to find no scars, but she didn’t really complain. Nothing else that painful has really happened to her yet to scar her, as she’s usually pretty careful. She’s received cuts and bruises before of course, but nothing as serious as what the wild cheetah had given her.
Audrey’s choice in clothing is pretty normal. She prefers something easy to move in, so jeans or shorts are common, with some form of tennis shoes or something with a flat bottom. The only time she really wears heels is if she needs to dress up for some occasion, such as an interview or a meeting, or a party, or a date. Outside of those parameters, she can never be found wearing any form of skirt or dress. On the job, she can mostly be found wearing her uniform, which is just normal attire for a cop. She intends to work her way to detective, and when that happens, she’ll have a little more freedom in what she can or can’t wear. But until then, when she’s on the job, she has to wear her uniform.

Her fur is a very yellow-tan color that fades to an off-white color on her belly. She’s covered in black spots, and her fur is mostly short and course on the majority of her body, but gets longer by her chest, stomach, and shoulders.
::SIZE::
She is big for a cheetah, but is fairly average. Well, almost. Her entire body length is seven feet long, including her tail. From ground to shoulders, she is three and a half feet tall. She weighs in at one hundred and forty pounds.
::MARKS::
Her pelt pattern is very distinct compared to other cheetahs. Her variation is known as a “king cheetah.” Instead of the common spots, she has black splotches on her pelt, and along her spine she has three thick stripes ranging from the back of her neck all the way to the base of her tail.

::SUMMARY::
Audrey is a good person. She loves helping people and is all about justice. Her form of justice is exactly what the book says it is. A stickler for the rules, Audrey doesn’t let any rule broken go unnoticed. They’re there to keep people safe and there to make the city a better, more manageable place to live. Because of this, she easily accepts any form of authority. If they are higher than her, she listens to them. When she doesn’t agree with them, she politely tries to change their mind or take her leave, but she would never do anything stupid like yell or insult her boss.
Her love of adventure is what got her into the criminal justice department, and New York City. What better a place to find adventure than dealing with criminals in the city that never sleeps? In order to be ready for anything, she keeps herself fit by exercising whenever she finds some free time. She uses it as her unwinding time, her “me” time. Though, she does find the time to read. She finds sitting down before bed and getting into a good book not so good for her sleep time, but it helps her escape the reality of the world for a little bit.
She’s not without her flaws, though. She tends to be forgetful at times, because often she’ll overbook herself with work. Audrey has a problem with delegating her time well, putting off things she shouldn’t and doing a bunch of tasks she can’t always complete. Most of the time it’s to keep herself from doing paperwork, as she hates sitting down just to answer out questions and check boxes and fill out reports. Audrey also has a nasty habit of stopping what she’s doing in order to organize something. She hates things getting cluttered and messy, and she always has to fix it. If it’s not her space, she’ll at least stack papers and pick out trash to make things cleaner. It really makes her a busy body.

::HISTORY::
Audrey was born on December 1st, 1984 to Willow and Gavin Webb. They both had steady jobs—Willow working as the manager of a well-known hotel chain and Gavin working as the assistant manager at the Sears Tower (now known as “Willis Tower. He was against it, but what can you do?)—and had a nice house to live in. She was taken care of and had manners and morals drilled into her head at a young age, brought up by a semi-protective family, she found her life was lacking in the thrills she so wanted: her parents seemed to not want her to do anything! Don’t ride your bike there, don’t go play with this kid, watch out for that. . . . Most of their protectiveness was because Audrey was their first child.
Things got a little better when Hunter was born. Eight years younger than Audrey, she was quite a bit jealous of him because her parents had to pay more attention to him because of his age and his dependence. However, she figured after a little while it wasn’t so bad. Because they had to pay attention to him and they were so tired from waking up at all hours to feed him and such, they allowed her to do more because they just didn’t realize what she was asking. This was good for her and bad for her at the same time. Good because she had more freedom, but bad because she tried to do a few dangerous things.
Like this one day. It was several months after Hunter had been born, and Audrey decided to take her bike out for a ride. Her parents let her do it, telling her to be careful or whatever. They didn’t even bother asking where she was going or if she was going anywhere, and Audrey quite likes this. She went for her ride, but when she was crossing the street, a drunk driver veered around a corner and nearly hit her. Fortunately, he just clipped her front tire and sent her sprawling to the ground. She wasn’t severely wounded, a few scrapes from the gravel and a couple bruises from the landing, but that near-death experience, even for a nine-year old, was scary enough for her to realize that maybe her parents were right.
She didn’t become too scared to go outside, but she did become more cautious. She never once told her parents what had really happened that day—well, not until she was 16—and merely told them that she had hit a bump and had fallen from her bike, and they comforted her and told she needed to be careful, but they didn’t have to tell her that. As the years went, she continued to do things carefully paid real close attention to the rules. Never did she have a rebellious teen phase, because she agreed with them. She was never all that interested in partying and stuff, anyway, so they never had any reason to scold her for anything.
With her free time came TV, and it was the cop shows—Law and Order stuff and the chase shows that played from time to time—that made her want to get into that line of work. She started to look into schools and areas, and from her teen years Audrey had always wanted to go to New York City, so she looked into the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Her parents were skeptical that she would ever stay with this, that she would probably change her mind, but Audrey never did. She worked hard at getting scholarships, and she got a job working at the Kohl’s that was by her house in order to save up for college. She usually rode her bike everywhere, so she didn’t need to worry about getting a car and paying for gas.
A few months after graduation, Audrey received her acceptance letter. Her parents were surprised that she had actually gone through with her plan to be in a cop, but they were supportive. Audrey and her brother had actually started to get along a little bit, what with the big age gap, but he was sad that his big sister was moving to the other side of the country practically. She flew out a couple weeks later, having found an apartment and a roommate, and she spent the next five years in school. She graduated several months after her 23rd birthday, and as a graduation gift, her parents paid for her to go on a trip to Africa. Audrey had always wanted to go on a safari to see the animals, so they decided to give her that as a way to show her how proud they were.
However, Audrey wanted to dip into her job first and go for her 24th birthday. It didn’t take very long for the local precinct to pick Audrey out for a job, and she got herself settled in, taking a desk job for a little bit after her fitness test—which she passed with flying colors—and a few gun tests and safety classes. However, she moved into the field rather quickly, which made her quite happy. After spending a year in that, she took some vacation time for her trip, taking her parents up on the offer for a safari in Kenya. They decided to go with them and Hunter was coming, too. He was a sophomore in college and was always ready for a reason to get out of school.
They were going to spend two weeks in Kenya. They ended up going after her birthday, though, because that was when she could get a good amount of her vacation time. The vacation would start in the middle of August, a prime time for a safari, as it was when the migrations began and all the animals would be out and about for them to see. Everyone was excited, and Audrey was always happy to see her family again. After starting college, she only got to talk them every once in a while, and was only able to see them every other Christmas. However, they were happy that she was doing what she wanted to do, and Audrey could live with it.
Unfortunately, their vacation was cut short. The family was out for a little night-time safari. It was a little bit more expensive and more dangerous, but there would be a bunch of predators out and about. The expeditions were booked, so Audrey ended up being in a different car than the rest of her family, but no one seemed to mind. They could talk about it later, and they were still on the same trip, so that was what mattered. It was the beginning of the second week, and the moon was big and round in the sky, making things brighter and easier to see for the most part. However. . . it was also going to be a serious case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The safari guide stopped the car when he spotted a group of hyenas lazing about in the distance, and he allowed people to take photographs, so long as they didn’t use flash photography. No one really used their cameras for pictures, but used them to record the animals with their night vision settings. Unable to get a good picture, and Audrey asked the safari guide if she could step out of the vehicle for a second, and the guide—seemingly distracted—told her to go for it and so she got out of the jeep and hugged the frame, recording the hyenas and their interesting sounds. Eventually, the hyenas ended up running off and, disappointed, Audrey went to get back in the car.
Suddenly, the safari guide started to yell for her to get in the car. She just brushed it off as a “he just wants to get a move on” thing, but was proven wrong when she heard a snarl. Looking toward the sound, she saw too late a large cheetah leaping at her. Audrey put her arm up to defend herself and the big cat dug its fangs deep into her arm. The safari guide pulled out a shotgun and started to shoot at the beast, but it ran off. In actuality, the safari guide was a hunter in disguise who had taken up the job in order to hunt down this werecheetah. He chased after it as it ran, though there was no way he could keep up with it. The other jeep arrived on the scene and picked Audrey up, hurrying her to the hospital.
Unsure as to the extent of her damage, the hunter tried to find Audrey to see if he needed to kill her, too, but he had some trouble getting to Audrey without her family being with her, and soon they paid for a ticket back to the states so that she could get better there, instead. She insisted that they just send her home by herself, but her parents were adamant about making sure she got home alright. She was sorry that their vacation had to be cut short, but they told her not to be sorry because it wasn’t her fault. They got back to New York unhindered, and the hunter stayed in Kenya to find the cheetah, thinking that maybe he would try to find Audrey later. Her wounds healed quickly, and she got right back into work, unaware of the monster that hid inside her.
