Summary:
Born in 1702 in Japan, he was raised with his family for forty years before leaving on his own. In that time, his parents were training him to be as modern and tactful as possible. He learned forging with his father, to repair and make weapons as he needed, and became a master of the folding technique of his country, selling swords to the soldiers of the shogunate to earn money when he left his family. This transfers over to modern day by learning to maintain vehicles and weaponry, and he has the added bonus of being able to create the parts he needs. He continues to use the ability to make money as well, crafting weapons for any client that pays him enough. In his time perfecting his craft, he's grown able to work with many different metals and materials, to create better weapons, and create all sorts of models, depending on what is asked of him. At his home, he maintains a vast store of materials with which to work.

He was also raised to be a great tactician. His parents knew that it would be a long time coming before he was powerful enough to defeat any opponent in combat, thus they wanted him to be able to win with cunning. He learned early on to shape a battlefield to his advantage, how to mobilize troops, and how to outwit an opponent in one on one combat. He studied the battles of past conquerers, studying their movements and tactics, battle formations and decisions, analyzing what had happened, training his mind to be able to think on his feet, to be able to improvise as able. He maintains a war room and private study, and generally carries a copy of The Art of War with him, as well as a small pocket notebook to record observations.

His third specialty is technology, more pronounced in modern times. His parents wanted him able to keep up with the rapidly evolving battlefield. It was less useful in his early days, but now, quite useful indeed. He's able to quickly identify any weapon he sees, and can recall it's strengths and weaknesses. He modifies modern guns in order to improve on them, making them better than their normal counterparts, and more reliable. Also more profitable. He can sometimes be found scavenging a battle field for weapons no longer in use, taking them back to his home and tuning them up, and has working models of most weapons in the known world. For a fee, he'll repair or upgrade any weapons brought to him, and can do just about anything asked of him.

Other than these, he has the base vampire abilities. He can defy gravity, control his pheromones, has the enhanced abilities and all that. One special thing about him however, is his speed. He's unnaturally fast for a vampire his age, about as fast as a vampire twice his age, give or take ten years. Because of this prominence, his power is somewhat diminished, not as strong as a normal vampire his age, only of about two hundred years old. Because of this, he tends to avoid outright confrontations, despite being confident in his speed, and prefers stealthy means, and by letting his opponent destroy themself.

Summary:
A major militaristic person, his main weakness is society. When trying to blend into normal society, he's seen to be overly paranoid, and has been described as "War-Crazy." He's grown up in the environment of someone trying to constantly kill him, thus he's overly analytical of the most minute of actions, and is always armed. He's a complete klutz at the social interactions, and sometimes scares people away with his over analysis and gung-ho attitude. And he also tends to cause mass property damage if left to his own devices...

His next weakness would have to be the latest guns. He is way too technologically inclined for his own good. He sees the latest in a series of weapons, or a uniquely modified one, and you can't get him to shut up. He'll instantly snatch it up, and begin comparing it to other weapons, or his own gun of choice. He'll immediately begin to identify the unique characteristics to the piece, and any potential flaws. His is, totally war-crazy, as so many have described him before. Thus, the best distraction is to carry a spare gun, and chuck it to where you want him to go. Nine times out of ten it works.

And naturally, he comes standard with all the vampiric weaknesses. Avoids sunlight, can't deal with holy water, though he maintains a good supply of it for weapons, garlic makes his breath smell funny and wreaks havoc internally, and so on and so forth. He hasn't quite built up a tolerance to anything except garlic, and even then he can only stomach small amounts. Not that he particularly cares. As long as he's not hypersensitive to any of them, they don't really bother him. And they don't quite debilitate him enough to the point of immobility instantaneously either, thus, they matter not to him.

Summary:
Born to a family of vampires, he was raised to be another soldier. Trained to be as modern as possible, thus his clothes have changed as the times have progressed. Currently, he blends in as a normal student of high-school, albiet one that takes night classes. When on a job however, he has a combat suit that is multi-functional to suit whatever needs he may need. Bullet resistance, fire retardant, thermal insulated and so on. However, he only wears this outfit when on a pre-arranged mission for his client. No matter what he's wearing, he constantly wears his combat boots, being more of a soldier than anything, thus always going for functionality.

Summary:
His main likes are a result of a somewhat philosophical upbringing. He loves to read, devouring any knowledge that he can, loving the fact that he can quickly read through most texts and grow stronger with each one. With each text, he gains new knowledge to put to use. He also loves to forge and tinker. He can often be found at a forge or work desk, creating some new toy with which to play, or crafting something for a client, or merely occupying his time until a client arrives, requesting his services for some odd job or another.

His dislikes are arrogance, laziness and disorder. Being a professional soldier, his enviroment is usual neat and orderly, and he's very proactive. His home and equipment is all organized to where he can find anything he's looking for with ease, and if there's something he needs done, he does it immediately, always working towards acheiving the goal of his mission or activity. With this, he's quite patient, putting it to use at the forge, crafting some of the most superior weapons seen today. His final dislike is arrogance. He hates the people that feel like they can do whatever they want without regards to others, especially if they can't back up their bragging. He'll work for them of course, but he makes that mission priority, in order to distance himself from them quickly.

His flaws are that he's militaristic, quite neutral, and quite ignorant. As a professional soldier, most of his mannerisms reflect this. He has issues blending in to normal society, as it is ingrained in his nature to act as a soldier, to respond as a soldier, and to treat others as a soldier might. This makes it hard for him to deal with 'normal' people at times. He's also quite neutral, meaning he'll work for and do anything contracted for him to do. He has a naturally tendency for 'good,' but doesn't really care what his work is, as long as it's work. His final flaw is his ignorance. He is completely socially inept. He has no casual skills what so ever, and is naturally labeled as 'war-crazy' by many, though considered among the finest of soldiers for hire.

History:
Born in Japan, in winter of 1702, Kai was the only son of two well hidden vampires. His father and mother had succeeded thus far in avoiding attention during the reign of the Tokugawa Shogunate, and for the first half century of Kai's life, they lived in peace. He'd study with his father tactics and technology, and with his mother he'd study forging and engingeering. Back then, engineering mainly included small seige machines that his parents had observed in other countries before returning home, and he continued these practices as he aged. He lived by training day and night with his family for forty years, before attention had caught up to them.

He was down by the stream close to their forest home when his parents were killed. A band of lycans had stumbled across them, and following their racial prejudice, slaughtered his parents while they bathed. Taking up his fathers sword, he hunted down the band that lingered in the area, gloating over their victory, and slaughtered them to the last, avenging his family's honor. He returned home, and remained there for a night longer, gathering his things, taking writings that his father had intended his son to inherit one day, along with those of his mothers, and disappeared into the night, wandering the Japanese countryside, slaying samurai that crossed his path in anger, caring not for who they served.

He remained in Japan until the Meiji Restoration, at which point he left, and began to tour Europe and America. He picked up the local languages, and is now fluent in Japanese, French, Spanish and English. He studied the emerging technologies, and quickly mastered and improved upon them, eventually hiring some people to rebuild his family home in the woods of Japan, where he most often remains. He has there everything that he needs, and most clients wanting his services come to him, as for the century and almost a half he was out, he made his name as both smith and soldier.
