Specialties:
1. Scene stealing.
2. Pheromone control.
3. Memorization.
4. Singing.
Summary:
Being on stage for a long time gives an actor a big head, and being the phantom pretty much since the play was written, no one has a bigger head than Sai. Being an actor for so long, he had learned how to manipulate the audience with his voice and talent… and if that doesn’t work a healthy dose of “love me” pheromones always help. He’s over the top, loud, and incredibly self-centered. He loves to memorize other’s lines and show them up if he gets a chance, and whenever there’s a new Christine playing with him, he does whatever he can to take the limelight off of her. The directors hate it, though they know they can’t replace him… again, pheromones help with that. But despite that he does have some good talent, he can sing rather well. Not everything he does deals with chemicals and manipulation, there is some aptitude for his field in him.
Weakness:
1. Too proud.
2. Spends most of his nights acting, not much feeding.
3. Sun, given again!
Summary:
Being an actor, the stage takes up most of his time. He and his fellow actors are nocturnal, though this is more their choice and his forcement. So sun is out of the picture. As that happens, he’s on the stage, meaning he doesn’t really have much time to go out and hunt and feed. He doesn’t like to give up his stage-presence, but at times he does let his under-worked understudy take the mask, allowing him to eat for once. Sometimes, however, his pride as an actor gets in the way and he puts it off for a long time, or goes after the performance and narrowly makes it back before the sun. many times he had been stuck in the subway station until the sun goes down, in which he had to rush as fast as he can to make his call-time.Appearance;;
Hair: Black. Slicked back for the stage, in his face hiding if not.
Eyes: Greenish-gray.
Height: Six foot six.
Marks: A burn on the right side of his face.
Race: French.
Skin Tone: White.
Body Type: Kind of plump, but fits his frame well enough.
Clothing Style: Stage, costume-y, takes “Dracula” to heart. But now and then he’s in a simple dress shirt and jeans. And a mask, always the phantom mask. But if he doesn’t wear that (outside) then he has his hair in his face.
Footwear: Shined shoes of the rich.
Summary:
Once very handsome, Sai still can be if he is on the stage. Makeup and costume work wonders on the human body. He had money, being a steady working actor, but doesn’t use it often. Always on the stage he’s in his costume a majority of the time; black hair slicked back and dove-tailed, lips glossed, tux, and mask in place. He is the Phantom of the Opera. His face, however, is pure. The right side of his face is partly burned/melted, making it perfect for the role. All he does is add a little shadow to it to make it stand out on stage.Personality;;
Likes:
1. Applause.
2. Blood (a given).
3. The reaction to his face. He finds them funny.
4. Singing.
Dislikes:
1. Seeing his face himself.
2. Sun, another given.
3. Old makeup.
Flaws:
1. His face.
2. Lives forever on the stage.
3. Except for lines, very forgetful.
Summary:
Sai adores hearing applause, especially after one of his solo-songs. He’s an incredible ham, over-playing everything he does. Which works. For his current job of playing Phantom in the Phantom of the Opera calls just for it. he’s big, he’s loud, he’s over-dramatic, he’s arrogant, and more importantly, he’s as idiot. He’s so into what he’s doing and into himself he doesn’t keep track of what else is going on. He’ll run into scenery, trip over his cape, or be trapped somewhere in New York during the day-light hours because he didn’t keep track of where or when he is. He is marred on the side of his face, and he loves to hear the reaction to it on stage. The audience thinks it’s makeup, the other actors think it’s makeup. He knows differently. And it’s always fun to hear. But he’s great at forgetting things. He gets lost, never remembering what street leads where. And don’t ask him about names, he’d give you the title “Bob” just to call you something.Background Check;;
Family Members: Demien and Janette Lance.
Birth Place: France.
Childhood: In his early years he was moved from France to Italy with his family, his father, Demien, being an opera star in the early days. Sai was thought to take over Opera from his father, being trained in the voice. Until then, however, he worked in the normal theaters, both inside and outside, doing dramas and small plays.
Transformation: On the closing night of Romeo and Juliet, he was drained of life right on stage in front of an audience. The kiss was an exchange of blood, turning him. He was lucky, he didn’t have to bow… considering as he was dead.
Prey: Stupid fangirls that no one would miss. Anyone he can get his hands and teeth on.
Fang Power: They can hide inside his hollow human canines. Only dropping down when in the presence of a meal.
Other Transformation: He had to bite them, drink them, and feed them. He had never done so, noting wanting competition.
History: Born in France, Sai was immediately pinned to follow his father into the theater. He held this perfectly. For years he was trained in singing and acting, while practicing in smaller theaters doing things for Shakespearian works and local authors. When he was eighteen he joined a company with a beautiful woman he had met one night. Clair was a beautiful woman, well endowed, hair a fiery red, eyes of ice, and a smile to match. The young man was enraptured, amazed that a woman could be allowed on stage. It was a new thing at that time, one that not too many took kindly too. However, she was the one that filled the seats. She taught him many things about acting, how to be large and over-done, but still subtle enough to keep the audience hanging onto every word. To memorize quickly, apply makeup, and most importantly, that everything in the human body could be used.
At twenty five, just before Sai was to take over for his father who was leaving the theater, he and Clair were on stage together, closing in front of a large audience a performance of Romeo and Juliet. His lines were letter perfect, not one hair out of place. The vial was un-stopped, the monologue of love and death given. And the poison swallowed. It was real this closing night, unknown to all save for Clair. In front of a huge audience, his parents included that night, Sai drank a vial of pure cyanide. Within seconds, he didn't have to act anymore. His lines were gone, choking on the poison he had drunken. He fell to the pedestal “Juliette” was on. She acted quickly, rising from the “dead” and giving her speech, leaning down to kiss him. Instead, she made it known to him that she was a vampire.
She drank from him, quickly, whispering for him to fight for just a moment longer. He was fading fast as she rose again, face flushed and monologue flourished. The dagger was real, Clair stabbed herself, falling over Sai with a whispered order to drink. He did so, just before his mind shut off, dead for the moment. The curtain fell, the audience applauded, the actors went to change. But Clair and Sai were left on stage. They were found quite soon, and it became apparent that the knife and poison was real. They were moved offstage, left to find a doctor. In the moment they were alone Clair picked up Sai, ran with him to her home, and fed him properly.
His change was painful, as was to be expected. His body had to die, letting the blood take him over. He also had to fight off the poison. It took two days, then just like that he lay still. Vampire. For years the two of them ruled the night, until they over-stayed their welcome. A priest, turned hunter, came after them. Sai overpowered him easily, drinking from him. The man smashed a bottle of holy water in his face. The right side of Sai’s face melted, and as Clair was trying to help him get it off when the priest staked her. Sai broke his neck, leaving him to rot in the alley.
Life went on, he hid his face under his hair for the most part. Until a young man had a casting call for a man that didn’t mind looking disfigured onstage. He’s been the Phantom ever since, now playing on Broadway.
