Alias: Farkas
Real Name: Cassius Scipio Lupinus
Gender: Male
Orientation: Straight
Age: 2302 looks early twenties
Species: Lycan
Job: Not employed.
Specialties: Heightened smell, hearing and eyesight including night sight (except in total darkness). He is very good at archery, being able to fire an arrow almost as far a bullet out of the average gun and be just as accurate, and is an excellent swordsman, especially after a couple millennia of practice. He also has a natural ability for hand-to-hand combat although he is less skilled without weapons than he is with. As well as being a warrior, he is also a planner. Having the ability to think on his feet combined with his flexible agility has helped him to survive many scrapes.
Weakness: The obvious werewolf allergic reaction to silver. He is sometimes too compassionate and generally nice for his own good. He prefers to see the best in people which could lead to being his downfall. Farkas also has rather strict moral values and tends to follow a code of chivalry. This can put him at a disadvantage as most people around nowadays think only of themselves. Even though he doesn’t particularly have a short fuse, Farkas’ temper can be a weakness. Once enraged, he will ordinarily only calm down when the thing or person that irritated is either gone or disposed of.
Physical Appearance: Human form is about 6ft2" with brown hair but with natural copper highlights. Eyes are blue-grey with a thin ring of yellow around the pupil which spirals out to colour the whole iris when he's angry or when transformed. His skin is pale with freckles across his nose that are most evident in times of stress or intense emotion. His body is lithe but not evidently overly muscled, however his human form still retains a lot of the strength of the wolf. He ordinarily carries a long sword with him and sometimes his longbow.
Wolf form can be either a biped (where he stands at nearly 7ft) or a quadruped. His fur was originally the same colour as his hair but down the centuries it has turned silver-grey. However, for a short while after feeding his fur regains some of the colour which is slowly lost again. The intensity depends on how long after feeding and how much he ate. His claws are two inches long and incredibly sharp. His teeth are also so very sharp and long. His skin is thicker and is less easily cut than in his human form. He has no tail and is technically genderless when in wolf form.

Personality: A normally formal, polite but kind person, Farkas can have a vicious temper so, once enraged, the provoker is likely to end up seriously if not mortally injured. He can also hold grudges for years, centuries sometimes. However, the one he is holding a grudge against would have to have done something heinous to someone or something Farkas cares about, or even Farkas himself, to receive such hate.
He used to be wary of vampires because of his family history but he has overcome his prejudice over the years and now treats each species in the same manner. He doesn’t trust easily but once a person has earned his trust and respect he is fiercely loyal and protective of them. He sees himself as chivalrous, and will often defend people he likes from vampires and other lycans if they mean them harm.
History: Farkas was born in Britain so essentially considers his roots to be there. His pack travelled across Europe until he was thirteen when they were set upon outside Rome by the vampiress now known as Red. She killed all of his pack and cut his parents down right before his eyes. However, saved by the timely arrival of another vampiress, who defended him, he escaped into the city where he was taken in by a childless Roman couple.
Farkas was his lycan name but he was given a Roman name as well which helped him to blend into Roman society. The couple looked after him and taught him how to live in a civilised society, therefore earning his affection and love. When he was still a young man, Farkas joined the Roman army and earned a good income for his parents to live off of as a way of thanking them for taking him in. As his parents aged though, Farkas returned to Rome and took care of them until they died. This was when he left Rome and travelled to Greece where he lived for a time, learning the art of philosophy and debating.
He was forced to leave Greece after many enjoyable decades because the people in the city in which he had been living were becoming suspicious due to his lack of aging. Travelling across Europe to Britain he met and fought along side Boudicca and her group of tribes in the uprising against the occupying Romans. Although he disgusted with the slaughter of Romans after each Briton victory, he knew how brutal legionaries could be, having been one himself, and so considered it justified.
The crushing of the rebellion was bloody but Farkas managed to survive and get away, taking the risk of fleeing to Scotland, the peoples of which the Romans feared. However, he found and went to live with a pack, tolerating the life for a couple centuries, but finding his personality unsuited to the pack community he left and took up residence in the area that would become Cumbria. He was happy there, living a comfortable, yet careful, life amongst humans for over around 750 years until 1066 and the invasion of William the Conqueror. He wasn't called to battle himself but, having heard of the commotion after the death of the King, Edward the Confessor, made his way down to the south coast where it was rumoured William of Normandy was going to land with an invasion force. He surveyed the battle from the top of a large hill, noting the different ways that both sides had at fighting and adding to his knowledge of military tactics.
From then, he moved on back up north to Lancashire and ended up fighting against the Yorkists in the Wars of the Roses. His main motivation coming from hearing that Richard III had murdered the two princes, one the child King Edward V, and has ceased the throne for himself. He fought for Henry Tudor, the man to become Henry VII, as a man-at-arms under Lord Stanley. He was even at the historic Battle of Bosworth and, rumour has it, is supposed to have felled Richard III but he would never confirm or deny this fact.
Farkas was forced to move once again because of all the upheaval the Tudor dynasty caused for the church, beginning with Henry VIII’s desire for a divorce from his first wife. Farkas has never been devoutly religious and still believed in the Roman gods so he was at risk of being burned by Mary I for not being Catholic or by Elizabeth I for not being Protestant. He emigrated back to Rome for almost one hundred years, and furthered his education by drawing from the rich vat of knowledge brought to life by the end of the renaissance period.
Farkas duly returned to England but not long after his return, he came across a family, where the three children were stricken with tuberculosis. The parents, having noticed that he was different from everyone else, begged him to help their children. Farkas finally decided to change the eldest son and remove him from his family for a time, to teach him control and about what he had become. He felt guilt about not also helping the daughter and youngest son, but at the time, he was in no position to take care of toddlers, and at times he wondered even if he was capable to looking after a boy who was now almost a teenager.
Having taught the boy as best as he could, Farkas returned him to his family, having truly grown very fond of the youth over the couple of years they spent together. However, he could feel the boy’s resentment towards him and decided that it would be best for him to be with his proper family.
Farkas saw his apprentice several times down the years, and grew disappointed that the resentment and hate still remained, along with the apprentice’s thirst to beat his Master.
Upon his return to England, Farkas found it difficult to find work. The industrial revolution which had begun and started to build momentum baffled him to a degree, and he was forced to get to grips with the new technology and machines. To some extent, he wasn’t fond of the machines that drove skilled craftsmen out of work because they were more economic and cost-effective, but over the years he had grown used to modern technology. He has become competent with a computer but rarely uses them.
Because of the different cultures and countries Farkas has lived in, he can speak fluent Latin, Ancient Greek, Italian, several forms of English and Gaelic.
