Specialties: Like a lot of people her age, she can play guitar be it either the acoustic or even the banjo. However, she prefers to use her electric guitar since the strings are easier to push down on; rarely will she actually play with Romeo, her acoustic.
This day and age isn’t exactly safe for a young woman, so she took praying mantis kung fu and karate for self -defense purposes. Along with those classes, she took gymnastics, so she’s fairly flexible-it was needed so movements can be easier in her self-defense classes. Her weapons of choice are easily concealed like a gun or a dagger, however, she prefers to use her Desert Eagle rather than a knife. Singing is one of her passions as is song writing; her entire family has something musical in common which led her to being an artist herself.
When it comes to singing, she can sound like your average rock star until she growls. Funny thing is, can sound very much like the lead singer from Cradle of Filth but a few octaves higher. Also, she has a high stamina due to her long hikes in the mountains and will often times go back packing by herself or with friends.
Weakness: Reina definitely has weaknesses like any other vampire. Loss of blood, beating to death, etc will definitely lead to an unfortunate demise. At times she can be obsessive compulsive-much to her brother’s dismay since she’ll sometimes invade their rooms to clean it up if they don’t. If her room is messy, she will clean it up, if something appears out of place, she will place it elsewhere. It’s a mild case, but it annoys her friends when she does it too much.
Reina despises snakes and anything else that has slime like appearance. Spiders? Definitely something she hates, especially the furry ones with long legs. One of the main reasons why she won’t travel to Africa or anywhere else on the Eastern Hemisphere is to avoid the Camel Spider!
Did I forget to mention that she’s homophobic? Past incidents with homosexuals, of which she refuses to repeat, which left her with this fear of them.
Physical Appearance:
When one sees Reina for the first time the first words that sometimes come to mind is “rebellious teenager”. Too bad she’s not one anymore but she still acts like one sometimes. Reina has a black tattoo of an electric guitar on her left arm and her attire is usually black.
Though her tastes in clothing are usually considered gothic, she doesn’t think of herself as one. Due to said attire, people automatically assume she’s rebellious but that isn’t the case.
She rarely wears makeup or any jewelry say for her stud earrings. However, if she’s on stage with her band she will wear makeup so the lights won’t wash her out. Typical for a human now a vampire to have pale skin am I right?
During cooler weather, she’ll wear her leather trench coat. Sometimes she will be carrying her black electric in a case, other times she won’t. On rare occasions will she wear a color other than black, it’s always been a calming color for her yet as of late she has added color to her closet.
Personality: Due to an incident with Shadows, a separate personality was born within Reina. First I will tell you what Reina usually is like. The female loves to joke around with anyone she’s with. Whenever she can crack a good joke or make a sarcastic remark, Reina will take that chance right away. She’s feisty and is not afraid to challenge anyone who would dare insult her or her companions. Persuading her into doing something she doesn’t want to will take a lot of effort since she’s hard headed. One of her flaws is her refusing to take advice at times.
She’ll usually do what she feels is right and sees what happens but no one in this day and age is perfect. Rather than following her heart, she usually uses the logic of her head. In her mind, the heart is a deceitful thing and just an organ that keeps blood pumping through your body, nothing more.
Now her separate personality is very aggressive but at the same time, her face usually becomes completely void of expressions. The look in her eyes will be cold and icy, causing anyone to feel a sharp shiver rush up their spine. Other times when in this state of mind she’ll become overly excited at the thought of fighting someone and will do unnecessary things to make it interesting for her.
If you’ve ever read Fruit’s Basket, think of this as “Black Reina”.
History: Reina grew up in a small town where there was not much to do. As a child, she often times grew bored and would pick up her father’s guitar. This usually led to it falling down and nearly breaking the stem. When she got older, her father taught her the basics of guitar playing, and she stuck with that for a few years until she was able to master it. Then she moved on to more difficult chords and guitar theory. By the time she turned eighteen, she was skilled with the guitar and able to play anything someone gave her. She took voice lessons as well and a few poetry classes along with her basics: math, science, etc. When her mother was nearly raped by a gang, she took up classes, which led to her becoming fairly skilled in mantis kung fu and karate.
Her elder brother taught her how to shoot a gun and how to fight with a knife since he was an undercover cop. For years he was around gangs and learned their different fighting styles and taught his sister what he learned; Reina picked up on these very quickly. A friend at school got her interested in gymnastics when she was seven so she took that along side her self-defense courses. Flexible, able to fight and use weapons, she set out on her own, started a garage band and finished off college not too long ago. Her only current mission is to find a decent job so she can keep paying rent. However, despite that, she tends to do some traveling around by back packing.
One night in Europe, she was attacked and severely wounded by gunshots and stab wounds. Nemui had watched her and took this chance to make her, her fledgling. What other choice did Reina have? For a few days, Nemui informed her about vampires and made certain that she knew how to drink blood without her help. Finally, Nemui let her go but gave her a warning.
“If I’m with other vampires and they want to kill you, I will join them. Don’t think I will save your ass.”
Now she wanders by herself, occasionally returning home to check up on her parents.
