Catching the eyes of his superiors, he was pulled out to be trained as a Green Beret. Bill excelled in the Special Forces, and soon became Sergeant. He led his squad on many covert missions, were he sustained various injuries. Bill served a total of two tours of duty. Finally being pulled out of the war when shrapnel almost destroyed his right knee, Bill was bitter at the fact he could no longer serve his country.
As fate would have it, Bill would later in life become a werewolf, a creature he despised for so long, and had killed so many of. Oddly enough, his wife, Bridget Overbeck, sired him. Giving him the curse of immortality, but granting him the blessing of spending it with his beloved, whom he thought was dead. Since being sired, Bill has stopped hunting, and now work’s in a garage, specializing in another passion of his, motorcycles. Something he had always liked as a hobby while he as at home, after the war. Due to now being a werewolf Bill is adjusting to his newfound powers, sometimes he has troubles with his now sensitive hearing when around loud noises.

Summary: After the war ended, Bill returned to a different country. Protesters lined the streets, hurling insults, and damning the Government. Needless to say, Bill didn’t like what was happening. His country had changed, and he was greeted as a monster. Not a hero that he, and many others like him were. Bill had always been a smoker, and he never saw a reason to quit. Even when Bill was informed by his doctor that he had a bad heart. Nothing ever got in Bill’s way. Having a bad heart and a trick knee, only made Bill more self reliant. Bill refuses to be treated as a senior citizen, and act’s like he’s still twenty.
All those weaknesses soon changed, his knee was fine after being sired, smoking wasn’t harmful, and his heart grew stronger. However, he still remained as tenacious and hard headed as ever, and being allergic to silver is still hard for Bill to adjust to, as is being locked away by his wife when the moon is full. Bill regularly goes out to the local meat market to buy some sort of fresh cut of meat, so as he can sustain himself.

Summary: Bill loved being in the army, almost as much as he loves his granddaughter. He dresses like he is still an active member of the Special Forces, but keeps a full beard. He’s never cared much for formal wear, and at one time informed his granddaughter he wanted to be buried in his combat fatigues, instead of his uniform. Occasionally, like when he was married, Bill had to wear a tuxedo. This is an outfit which he detests. Bill takes very good care of his army heirlooms. Hand washing his Jacket’s, and his beret, almost religiously. Bill also always has his custom M1911A1 hidden on his person some wear. Bill is in excellent shape for his age, being able to keep up with people 30 years younger than him. When his heart or knee don’t act up that is.
After being sired, Bill finally decided to stop wearing his past. Due to looking slightly younger, Bill changed from his militaristic garb to more civilian looking attire. He doesn’t have to worry about his health anymore, due to being a werewolf. Physically he look’s like he did when he was young, muscular, and strong, his hair however stayed gray. He still keep’s his pistol on his person at all times. Rarely using it now since he’s a mechanic, and can pretty much rip off intruders heads with little effort due to being a werewolf. His eyes look much colder than they did before, almost as if he could freeze someone’s blood just by glaring at them.
Bill hates transforming, and goes to extreme lengths to keep from losing control and hurting an innocent. Every full moon he has Bridget lock him away in a safe house, where he is chained and strapped down so he can’t move, or break free.

He worked construction after the war, keeping him in a good physical condition. He always tinkered around with guns and collected them. As well as worked on car’s and bikes for spare cash. His wife, Bridget was probably the only person Bill ever trusted. And she knew him inside and out. He treated her like a lady, opening doors, going out of his way to do small things. Such as fetch a glass of water for her, or round up Conner for supper. Bill is not a man to ask for help, even when it’s obvious that he need’s it. He habitually smokes, and is rarely seen without a cigarette in his mouth. He is known to speak his mind, and isn’t afraid to call a spade a spade.
After being sired, Bill pretty much stayed the same as far as being hard headed, his heart and knee no longer give him problems. Even though his wife hates to see him smoke, he’s not stopping for anyone.

History: Bill grew up in a small town. He wasn’t from a wealthy family, but his parents managed. He survived the great depression, and his parent’s home schooled him, so as he could help during hard times with work that needed to be done. When Bill turned 19 he enlisted in the Army, where he later went on to become a Green Beret. While away on duty both of his parents passed away. Leaving bill as the last surviving member of his family, until he eventually married.
Bill married a young woman by the name of Bridget Jager. Who gave Bill a son, Conner Overbeck. Who didn’t see eye to eye with his father. There was a falling out between the two and Conner moved over seas. Bill was in his thirties when his son left, and one night Bill’s world was turned upside down. A large man broke into Bill’s home, while Bill was asleep with his wife. The man was far from quite. Waking Bill, who grabbed his pistol and headed downstairs to see what was going on.
Upon seeing the man, Bill shot twice in the center mass. And to his surprise, the man was not felled. Bill soon witnessed the man ‘transform’. He turned into a large wolf like beast who knocked Bill over the railing, and rushed upstairs. Bill could hear his wife screaming, and by the time he made it to the bed room, she was dead. Crimson covered the bed, and the beast stood there snarling at Bill. Who in a blind rage charged the beast, firing wildly at it. The beast was not downed, and soon had Bill by the throat.
Bill tossed his empty gun to the ground, reaching out for anything he could use as a weapon. He managed to grab hold of his wife’s silver vanity mirrors, and jammed the handle into the beast’s eye socket. In turn it released Bill, howling in pain as it tried to grab the Mirror. Bill watched, as a light steam rolled up from the monsters flesh as it touched the silver mirror. Bill took his opening, dashing across the hard wood floor, and tackling the beast out the second story window. The werewolf, as Bill would later learn what it was, broke his fall. Bill however was not done with the creature. He pulled the mirror out of the beast’s eye, and stabbed him with the mirror’s handle over and over again. After a few minutes all that was left of the beast head was a bloody pulp.
Bill’s eyes were opened that night, he knew there were things out there. Things that took his wife, things that could endanger innocent people. After a few days of mourning, Bill left the home he built, and vowed to hunt down every monstrosity he could until he died.
Eventually after years of hunting, Bill heard word that he had a 3 month old granddaughter, and a deceased son. Bill, putting family first, went to Ireland to find, and adopt his granddaughter. Fawn Overbeck. Bill raised her as his own, occasionally taking trip’s that would last days. Fawn was always told it was business, and indeed it was. Bill continued to hunt even while raising his grandchild. Sheltering her from the world outside their own.
All was well, for a time. Bill watched his granddaughter grow, and mature into a young woman. There wasn’t a thing she did that couldn’t make him proud. Even as his health began to decline in his sixties, Bill remained as determined as ever to hunt all he could, and protect his granddaughter. Until one night, on Fawn’s 19th birthday, she went missing. Ever since then Bill has been searching for her, eliminating any were or vampire that came across his path.
As fate would have it, Bill found his wife alive and well, say for the fact she was a werewolf. Unable to continue hunting, Bill allowed his wife to curse him. He has since ceased hunting, and has taken up the profession of a mechanic, in his spare time he likes to tinker around with various objects, building odd things, including a weapon he’s been working on for quite some time. He is still searching for his granddaughter, and is still unaware of her fate.

[Example of your Role-Playing]
[/blockquote]As the wind howled trough the tree’s, a lone man was making his way quietly through the underbrush. His m4 carbine was at the ready, as he walked low in a crouched position; his blue eyes ever vigilant for the slightest bit of movement in the darkened forest. He had chased a werewolf into the forest, roughly 20 minutes ago. The beast was injured and showing its kind’s true colors. Retreating into hiding like a whipped dog.
Stepping gently onto the decaying leaves, Bill’s boot’s left a slight impression, the twigs barely making a noise. Bill was still at the top of his game, the only thing that gave away his age was his hair, and worn face. That was usually an advantage he had on his prey. Who considered him nothing more than a weak old man. All who made that mistake were now rotting in a ditch somewhere.
‘Gotcha.’ Bill thought to himself as he raised his weapon, and quickly squeezed of a shot. Lowering his carbine, Bill stood erect, and could hear the werewolf thrashing about, going into a death spasm. Carefully approaching the felled beast, Bill stopped far enough away so that the creature couldn’t reach him if it were still alive. As the wind swept through the forest, Bill raised his weapon, firing three rounds into the werewolf’s head. Only leaving, just after the beast crumpled up and reverted to it’s human form.
