Summary
Artemis has always been exceptionally intelligent, even when she was in her human life, she loves to read where she attains most of her knowledge but also she is a quick thinker especially in risky situations. When her father was alive he used to encourage her which she liked most about him whereas her mother disapproved but she still loved her as she knew she only wanted the best for her.
When she was turned her speed, hearing and sense of smell were enhanced but they are at their best when in werewolf form. As she is a wanderer, it comes in handy when she needs to make a quick getaway or when danger is near without the need to change.
Artemis is not only a “bookworm” as she is trained well in fighting and weaponry; if required she is perfectly capable of defending herself. This she has learned through observation and plenty of practice throughout the course of her eternal life and she is unwilling to give the name of her mentor. She feels very accomplished in this area as she should since she is very talented at it.
Over the years, Artemis has learned to control her other half or animalistic nature. She is no longer bothered by the urge to feed unless she is without food for a drastically prolonged amount of time. Again it is unknown how Artemis acquired this knowledge but it is best to respect her wishes and not pursue the subject further.
Weaknesses
- Judgemental
- Stubborn
- Silver
- Love
- Full moon
- Companionship
Artemis is known to judge people as soon as she meets them without taking the time to get to know them. It is a hard habit to break and she is usually accurate. She considers herself to be an expertise in judging character but she isn’t perfect and sometimes gets things wrong. She probably won’t give an apology though and it would be best to accept it as she is very stubborn.
She is quite proud of her determination as she should be but sometimes this isn’t always the case. Artemis can sometimes go too far which probably is the most annoying thing about her to most people. Others admire her will power, from a safe distance.
Silver is lethal to all werewolves and there is no escaping this unfortunately for Artemis. If Artemis comes into contact with any silver then it severely burns her but to kill her it depends on the quantity and amount of time that she is in contact with the silver.
Artemis sees love as a weakness and this she has experience with. She refuses to feel the emotion at all and it is rather easy for her since she is usually impassive. The reason for this is because of her past which lead to her being transformed.
The full moon is the time in which all werewolves must transform and when their animalistic natures are at their peak. Unfortunately there is no possible way for her to avoid it and so she changes like the others.
Artemis prefers solitude to company which is due to the fact that she travels a lot on her own. She has no friends but this does not upset her as she would rather keep to herself. There is no one she actually likes or wants to spend time with but perhaps this could change?

Summary
Artemis has known that she is beautiful from the day of her birth. This is the cause of her mother who favoured her above her other daughters as she was more attractive than her sisters. She is not the kind of being to brag about it though (even if her mother was) but being forever complimented on it does lead one to become conceited. This did not last for long as when she was transformed she never thought herself beautiful again.
Artemis has never had her hair cut as she feels most comfortable wearing it long and loose over her shoulders. She always looks her best and so her appearance is forever elegant and beautiful. Artemis favours dresses especially if they are white but she does occasionally wear more modern clothes (usually when she is trying to blend in) and then they have to suit her style. Tank tops, jeans and leather boots are typical of her choice of fashion as some would describe her as an “old-fashioned gal” but this is not always true. As her body temperature is increasingly high, wearing few clothes even in winter has no affect on her although if she is disguised as human she does remember to put additional clothes on.
The tattoo on her lower back is a mystery to everyone as it appears to be ancient but although she is old she is not aged enough for it to be. The secret really is that she acquired it from an ancient werewolf who taught her how to fight, use weapons and control her other half. Unfortunately the name of this source is hidden well and she will not reveal it willingly.

Summary
Artemis was taught to sing and dance in her previous human life which was insisted upon by her mother as she felt that these were the things that a good wife should be accomplished in. Artemis really only went through with it because she enjoyed doing it otherwise she might have put an end to it.
She is attached to her other half which the wolf she transforms into is mostly white with black aspects so she really prefers to wear the colours white and black. Other colours she is not fussy over but she once was in her human life. Perhaps she felt the need to let it go so she could move on with her new life. It isn’t really very exciting and humans have no idea how lucky they are.
Artemis’ ultimate favoured feature of being a Werewolf is running. She is very athletic and can keep up a tremendous speed for a long period of time which helps her to hunt and evade danger (although she does like to face up to it). She is not afraid of anything and is quite opinionated. This is another thing which most people don’t like about her as she always speaks her mind even if what she has to say is a negative thing about a person (those are the ones she likes best).
She doesn’t mind animals and usually eats them but she has a dislike for dogs and cats. She could give you a number of reasons why which are really minor things. She considers her enemies to be humans, vampires and hunters. The reason is purely because they want to hunt creatures like her down and she has never met (and certainly would not like to) anyone who fits into either of these categories who wants to befriend her. She finds them all untrustworthy and particularly dislikes werewolf movies which humans entertain themselves as they are all nonsense with only parts of the truth mixed in.

History
Artemis was born into a respectable, wealthy family of high stature. She was the youngest of four daughters and because of her remarkable beauty she quickly became her mother’s favourite. Artemis took an interest in reading and increasing her knowledge but her mother was bent on preparing her to become a suitable wife for a Lord so her whole life was wrapped around looking her best at all times (which hasn’t changed even after her transformation). Her mother introduced her to singing and dancing which Artemis found she enjoyed but her love of knowledge did not waver, her mother didn’t approve but her father encouraged her.
But being more beautiful than the rest was not always a good thing. It was because of this that her sisters despised her, all but Evelyn who she grew fond of as Evelyn did likewise with her. It became a mission for them to ruin Artemis’ changes of ever finding a husband but with Evelyn’s help she managed through it.
It wasn’t long before Artemis’ mother introduced her to a handsome, rich man whose name was Lord Richards and he owned a fine estate in near the North of England and in her mother’s eyes he was the perfect husband for her. However, when they got to know each other better Artemis found that she did not like him and refused to marry him. Her mother was furious with her but she would not force her child into marriage.
Because of Artemis’ love for dancing she often went to balls where she would dance with eligible bachelors to please her mother but at least she got some benefit from it even if the men were not to her taste. It was in one of these balls that she saw a strange but handsome, young man lurking in the corners. She asked her friend Jocelyn of who he was and she informed him that his name was Lord Dermond and he owned an old but elegant estate in Ireland. The man was mysterious and there was something about him that drew her to him.
Once Lord Dermond was aware of her affections towards him he asked her to dance at one of the assemblies and Artemis was more than happy to. After a few months they had gotten to know each other pretty well and Artemis found that she loved him. Her mother was not as enthusiastic about him as she was but Artemis was determined to marry him and so when he asked the question she immediately accepted. They were married not long after that.
On Artemis’ arrival to her husband’s estate in Ireland she knew that there was something not quite right since it looked rather old but it was beautiful. It was a full moon that night and her husband was acting a little strange. She wanted to know if he needed a doctor but he said he was fine and had something to tell her. Artemis was intelligent enough to know that it wasn’t something good and just at that moment the moonlight shone through the curtains and her husband began to shake violently. Artemis was too shocked to scream as she watched her husband’s form reshape into a wolf. When she finally was able to find her voice it was too late and the wolf leapt at her throat, biting deep into her flesh and then everything went black.
When Artemis awoke she thought she was dead but she looked up to see her husband (in human form) looking down at her and calmly explained to her what had happened. She was stunned to learn that he was a werewolf and now she was one too. This went against her beliefs and she told him that she didn’t love him anymore. This made him angry as he informed her that he had given her a gift; eternal life but she simply said that she didn’t want it. Lord Dermond was outraged and attacked Artemis but she quickly grabbed a silver letter opener to defend herself. She plunged the letter opener into his chest and his body began convulsing as the letter opener burned into his flesh. He let out a cry of pain before he hit the floor, dead. Artemis looked down at her hand to see that it was burnt slightly from touching the silver. She left the house and never saw her family again. She has been wandering the lands ever since.

The bloodlust was starting to grip Artemis, the feeling of needing to kill something; it was so overwhelming that she couldn't ignore it. Her instincts were calling for her to satisfy her hunger, and Artemis was wise and sensible enough to answer that call. She couldn't let her feelings get in the way; they were irrelevant at this point. She had to eat to survive, and even though her family were gone, she had to move on, she could ask for forgiveness later, but she had to put her own needs first, her family had been dead for centuries now anyway. It seemed selfish, but there was nothing she could do, once the bloodlust gripped her, it was hard for her to simply shake it off.
Without further hesitation Artemis looked up at the full moon, her long, black hair cascaded down onto her back with the movement and she closed her eyes as she released the dark creature inside her. Her head jolted to the right in such a violent manner that it should have broken her neck but she was used to it. She could feel the familiar excruciating seizure of pain as her body spasmed and then when white hairs began to grow furiously over her flesh she knew that the process was almost over. She had to hang on for a little longer. Her bones began to break and reform in that of the structure of a wolf’s and finally after what seemed like centuries of torture her head changed into a wolf and a loud howl fell from her lips.
A moment later a wonderful and delicious smell drifted into Artemis’ nostrils. Now it was time to feed. Artemis sprang forward into a run which she loved doing and she was very talented at. The deer in which she was pursuing had no chance against her. She slowly began to creep toward the targeted deer, it was unaware of any other presence near, its mind and its senses were set on being serene and enjoying the lush, green grass. She drew closer to the deer, making no sound as her paws moved elegantly and swiftly across the soft ground. Her prey still remained in place happily munching on what would be its last meal and then Artemis could begin hers. With one last step forwards she pounced onto the deer’s back, her claws dug deep into its flesh and it let out a cry of pain and terror. Artemis had it now and she wasn’t going to let go. The suffering of the animal saddened Artemis but her hunger was too great to stop now. She had to feed.
Without further hesitation she clamped her jaws around the deer’s neck, she bit deep causing crimson liquid to flow from the wound and then she broke it with one swift movement of her head. The carcass fell onto the ground with a soft thump and Artemis wasted no time in digging in. Picking an area where the most meat was contained, Artemis set to work and began to tear at the flesh ripping it open to expose the innards. When the task was completed, she ravaged the poor beast. The normally composed Artemis could no longer deny her stomach the food it deserved.
