4. Abnormal Strength
5. Abnormal Hearing
6. Abnormal Smell
7. Abnormal Body Temperature
8. Pyrokinesis
::SUMMARY::
Kia has many skills and has learned how to harness them all and use them all to their full ability; well almost all of them that is. Kia is an excellent swordsman; meaning she can use any type of sword and any size. She has learned from the best of the best throughout history. She has shown up here and there getting her training then leaving once it is complete. Her ability to use guns is one far greater than most. She has ridiculously accurate aim and has never missed a target. She can use a very wide range of guns; everything from a small pistol to a sniper rifle. Her ability to fight is one she isn’t very proud of but still will use it to her advantage. She can fight in any type of fighting; Tai Kwan do, street fighting, and yes even verbal fighting. She is quite the smart ass. Being a vampire she has a few abilities she has picked up and has honed in on them. One of them being her hearing; it is far greater than that of a normal vampire’s. This being so as result of a chemical spill at her mother’s lab when she was younger. She can hear a pin hit the bottom of the ocean even from a mile away.
Another ability of hers that is greater than a normal vampire’s; is her ability to smell. Again because of the chemical spill this small sense has been amplified by times twenty. She can smell a dead body from over seven miles. Kia has a small gift she tries to suppress, only to fail horribly. She has the ability to read the minds of those around her. No matter whom they are or how old she will subconsciously slip into their minds and hear their thoughts. Though she absolutely hates it when it happens, but she can’t help it. She wishes she could not read minds because some peoples’ thoughts drive her insane but it happens and she has learned how to deal with it fairly well. Lastly she has the ability to control fire. This gift is one she is still learning how to control and it is not going over so well. Seeing as how her chemical makeup was majorly altered after that fatal accident in her mother’s lab, part of her body’s core temperature had risen to an unusually high temperature. Her body’s temperature was at about one hundred and four degrees while she was younger.
After she was turned her body was still unnaturally warm but she learned to live with the warmth. She was unaware of the fire that rested within her that was slowly boiling up. Twenty years after she was turned she was locked up in a cellar and used as a circus attraction; her hatred and anger at the hunters who captured her literally boiled out of her. She was engulfed with flames, though the flames did not burn her, and the moment she touched anything it burst into flames or melted away. After the incident she traveled to her home in Japan where she tried to tame the fire and control it. At first she was able to calm it but that only lasted for a little while. The flame soon got out of control. Her grandmother helped her try to cool the power she contained but it never cooled. A small flame burns within her with no control. When she did her research on trying to stop her outbursts she tried to find a way to contain this power within. Nothing came up and no vampire could help her except her father.
::WEAKNESES::
1. Silver
2. Pheromone Control
3. Animals
4. Pitch Black Rooms
::SUMMARY::
Unlike most vampires, Kia’s main weakness is silver. Now because of the chemical spill she was exposed to when she was younger her body’s chemical makeup had been utterly screwed up. So, thus being the case, when she became a vampire her sensitivity to silver was heightened to a greater level than that of a normal vampire. Even being within a yard of the stuff she gets the affects some vampires get when they touch it. Another weakness of Kia’s is her Pheromone Control. Hers utterly sucks; therefore causing many problems for her because her lab is top secret and she has had to kill a few men who have followed her there. She wishes she could control it but she can’t no matter how she tries it always gets too great for her to handle. One of these days it will get her killed. Lastly something that is possibly her greatest weakness, next to silver, is animals. She loves them more than most people. She finds animals fascinating; mostly there way of life and she loves how some animals are like vampires.
Another weakness and fear she has is pitch black rooms. More particularly pitch black cellars or cargo containers. This fear arose from being carted around like a circus freak. She would be bound and thrown into one of the cargo containers like the semi tucks haul and shipped to another show. After being in the circus she was thrown in a cellar to die. The hunters who captured her found it hilarious that vampires can experience pain when not feeding for a long amount of time. She will go into a complete panic state when placed in a pitch black cellar or cargo container. She will freeze up and not move until someone has escorted her out of there. Though she has tried to get over this small fear she has; it has always ended up with her freaking out and the memories floating to the surface.

Her eyes used to be a very ocean blue. When she got angry her eyes dark to looked like the deepest depths of the ocean. Her eyes are her best feature because they show those that stare into them everything about her. Now even when she uses the Pyrokinesis her eyes are a very fiery red and seem like they are blazing. She is about five feet nine inches tall. She is also one hundred and fifteen pounds. She has a very noticeable burn mark on her right shoulder that is shaped like that of a cloud. The burn mark is from the chemical spill when she was younger and never healed. The whole left side of her body from shoulder down to her ankle is all scarred from the chemical spill. It is quite a nasty sight actually. She is Caucasian and her skin is fairly golden in color. She has a very athletic body and also has lots of curves in all the right places. As for her clothes, she has many different outfits. Each one for each part of her life; Assassin, Scientist, Normal Woman, and Party Girl.
When she is working and is an Assassin she will wear a black tang top shirt with black baggy pants. The pants have lots of pockets in them for holding guns and other useful items. She also will wear a black cloak that is torn and blood stained at the bottom of it. Going with all of that she wears black combat boots that are specially made to help her stay silent while on the hunt. When she is working in the labs she will wear a fairly simple outfit. Red short sleeved shirt, faded jeans, a white lab coat that goes to about her knees, and white gym shoes. Sometimes she will wear a pair of glasses thought she doesn’t need them she thinks they go with the look. Another part of her is the normal woman who goes out when ever. The normal outfit and the party outfit are one in the same. She wears the tang top she has on in the portrait above. She also wears white pants that are made of special material that is easy to move in. Lastly she will wear white wraps around her burn mark on the left side of her body; covering her left shoulder, left arm, and left leg.

3. Protective
::SUMMARY::
Despite loving to kill and loving to decapitate; she also loves animals especially fox bats. Seeing as how she finds bats the most amazing animal she has kept a pet fox bat that follows her everywhere. She also loves blood and needs it more than the average vampire. Her body has been out of whack since the lab incident and when she was turned the chemicals pushed through her veins didn’t help any at all. The need for blood became too great for her to contain. She needs blood every other day unlike most vampires who can go without it anywhere from a week to a few months. Another thing she loves is chocolate. She loves buying different kinds when she travels for assassinations. Going along with chocolate; she likes the occasional decapitation. Kia can be a bit of a sadist. It is programmed in her genes, thanks to her father, to enjoy killing; mostly taking off peoples’ heads.
Being a vampire and having the abilities she does she can use them to stop those that are trying to harm the humans. She would never dream of harming a human and only gets her blood from blood banks. Her job is killing vampires and werewolves who want to harm the human race. She tries to use her Pyrokinesis to stop them but seeing as how she can’t control it things don’t go well. Kia is not the type of person to hate a lot of things but the things she dislikes are things she absolutely can’t stand; one of them being animal abuse. She absolutely hates it when humans or undead creatures harm animals. She often gets so mad she will go on rants asking what in god’s name did the animal do to them. She has straightened out many people by yelling at them. Another thing she hates is when women are treated disrespectfully. She believes women have just as much a place in this world as men do and some men need to learn that.
She mostly sees it in humans and is ordered not to harm them, but no one hasn’t told her that she can’t yell at them to no end. Seeing things like animal abuse and the mistreatment of woman can put Kia in a rage and cause her to have an attack. Many people flee thinking she will contaminate them or something, but she has met the occasional few who stay to help her out. Lastly she doesn’t like being locked up. Actually it’s not a dislike it’s more of a fear. She is afraid to get locked up anywhere because she doesn’t want the painful memories that come with being locked up. Though she doesn’t have many dislikes they are great ones that she is very sensitive about and will try to prevent some of them from happening, but others she cannot.
Kia is not a perfect person. In fact she is probably the most imperfect person alive, or undead. She has many flaws one of them including her trust issue. She won’t trust people very easily and that has caused her to hurt many of her friends. Her trust was shattered over a hundred years ago and she is desperately trying to piece back together so she can begin to trust people again but her trust just keeps on falling apart every time she talks to someone. Even though Kia is a very outgoing person she can keep to herself. When she meets new people she pulls a mask over her face that takes away all emotion from and leaves almost like a hollow shell instead of Kia. She tends to stay away from people she doesn’t know though if they try to get to know her she will reward them for their efforts and try to talk to them. She has not socialized with people for such a long time that sometimes she doesn’t know what to say.
All in all Kia is a very nice and caring person. Once you get to know her she has a very motherly complex. She looks after those who are her friends and will do anything to protect them. Now when she is working it is almost like she is a different person. She completely changes from motherly nice person to crazy sadist. The fact that she can’t control her Pyrokinesis also ties into her personality. While her fire controlling abilities go untamed a part of her that hasn’t been touched comes to life. That part of her is her sadistic side. Her love for blood and death is far greater than that of anything because it is fueled by her untamed Pyrokinesis powers. Now this may be one of her greatest features but it is also one of her greatest flaws. She doesn’t communicate well when she is working most non human creatures she meets end up dead or burned alive. Lastly her greatest flaw is her condition. The chemical reaction happening her blood that is slowly deteriorating her away. Not many people enjoy talking to a girl who coughs up blood. She has also lost many friends because of this and has lost many of her targets for work because she breaks out and begins coughing and the blood clouds her nose making her lose her target. Kia can be nice and sweet when she wants to be. The major thing that attracts people to her is her sweet smile. It's very warm and welcoming. Speaking of warm, Kia has a friendly and warm air about her that just seems to draw people to her. Lastly is how protective she can be for her friends. It seems Kia is full of surprises.

::HISTORY::
Kia was born on July 24 1931. It was fairly nice outside and there was not a cloud insight. Her mother was very happy at how beautiful Kia was. Though something was missing and Kia realized it even just having come from the womb; her father was missing. Kia grew up without a father; learning everything from her mother. She survived mostly but there was a part of her that always yearned for her father. She asked Kaori where he was and Kaori yelled at her telling Kia never to ask that again. Kia never brought up the subject again. When she turned seven Kaori decided to take Kia to her lab and show her what she did. Kia was instantly mesmerized by everything Kaori did and looked up to her mother even more. Kaori took Kia through the entire lab explaining how everything worked. Kia got curious and wandered away from her mother. She began wandering around the lab looking into everything and playing with things. Some scientists would smile to her and get back to work. Others tried to stop her but she slipped away from them and continued on. One man grabbed her arm and told her it was dangerous. She tried to get away from him by pushing him away from her. Well she pushed him right into a container for experimental chemicals. The man stumbled and knocked the chemical vat all over him and Kia. He died of his burns instantly.
Kaori just so happened to be near there and picked up Kia before the chemicals could fully do her harm. Pain silenced young Kia as tears poured from her eyes. She cried and cried mumbling she didn’t want to die. Kaori was clueless on what to do. She couldn’t take Kia to a hospital because they hospitals didn’t know what kind of chemical was on Kia and Kaori didn’t want anyone else knowing what kind of experiments she conducted. So Kaori decided that she and the other scientist would treat Kia. Over the next four years Kia laid on a table in a coma while the scientist worked on healing her and cooling her down. Over the four years Kia’s body temperature rose from the regular ninety-eight point six to one hundred and four point five. Though the temperature raise was gradual and her body adjusted slowly to the temperature change; it was still very unusual. Though Kia had healed the left side of her body was terribly scared beyond repair. Kia woke up from the coma not long after her eleventh birthday. She was confused as to where she was and she didn’t seem to remember what had happened. Kaori decided to take advantage of Kia’s forgetfulness and told Kia that she had been in a fire and had just barely survived. Kia, not being able to clearly remember, believed her mother’s white lie and went on living her life in her mother’s lab constantly under surveillance. Kaori was concerned for Kia’s health because her body temperature hadn’t gone back down to its regular temperature. She would spend all night with Kia checking her blood pressure, the number of red blood cells. Kaori would check everything and Kia seemed fine, but unknown to anyone including Kia something was brewing inside her.
Ten years went by and as Kia got older she began to help her mother more. Kaori came clean about how Kia really got burned. Kia was hurt and touched her mother lied to her. Hoping to fill the gap between them Kia offered herself to be used for some experiments. It seemed as though her body had changed after all. Her chemical makeup had been altered and her DNA had changed drastically. Because of the chemical spill Kia no longer had any genes from her mother. Over the ten years Kia’s hair had gone from brown, like her mother’s, to a bloody shade of red, like her father’s. Her eyes even changed color reverting to a beautiful ocean blue color. Kaori studied Kia’s body changed hoping to find what caused her to change, but had no luck. One day while Kia was in the lab she noticed something odd about the lab. It felt colder to her; which meant the room had dropped about thirty degrees. When Kia went to speak with her mother she couldn’t help but notice how happy Kaori was. Kaori quickly explained they had a new project they were working. It involved trying to create the perfect being by using a vampire and giving it certain properties. Kia was somewhat astounded and somewhat disgusted. Her mother was using a vampire? Those bloody things didn’t even exist. Well Kaori showed Kat the vampire and Kia soon felt bad for thinking they didn’t exist. She had heard rumors about their strength and it seemed this vampire had been sealed in ice. Kia helped her mother do the experiments by adding certain liquids into the vampire.
Though all the while Kia was working she noticed something. This vampire seemed to become more and more visible every day. When she first took a look at him she could barely see him because the ice was so cold and so thick. But now she could make out his face and his body. He seemed very familiar, but Kia shook the thought away and continued with her work. They worked for about three more weeks when all the sudden they had a crucial power outage. People scrambled to get ice one the frozen vampire. No one wanted him to thaw but it was already too late. He had escaped and begun his rampage. Seeing as how he was given chemicals that increased his power he was stronger than a normal vampire. He raged through the small lab tearing down everyone in his path. By the time he reached the main room all of the scientists had been wiped out. Everyone except Kaori and Kia. When the man entered the room Kia finally got a good look at him. I mean a good look. His hair had dried somewhat revealing its true color; blood red. His eyes even though he was raged with hunger were still an ocean blue color. Kia was confused but the realization set in. This man. This thing. This creature in the room with her was in fact her father. The man took no time in killing Kaori and went right for Kia to kill her but he stopped. Kia could see the wonder in his eyes.
Thinking this was her only opportunity to save her sorry ass she quickly explained her theory. She told him that she might be his daughter. Well she was right this man was indeed her father and he was pleased at how much Kia looked like him. He explained that he hadn’t meant to leave Kia and her mother. He told her that a band of vampires had taken him away and made him one of them. At first Kia was ecstatic to have found her father, the man Kia had so longed for, but they she noticed something about him. He had a weird glint in his eyes as he watched her; almost like he was calculating something. She realized what he was doing only too late. He had her pinned to the wall and his fangs in her neck before she could even breathe. Kia felt the venom enter her body and course through her veins. She screamed as the change begun to take place. All the while her father, Damien, was watching her writher one the ground. But something else was happening inside her as the change began. Her body, already changed by the chemical spill, was rejecting the venom. It seemed as though she would die, but the chemicals in the venom were different than that of a normal vampire. They were much more powerful and soon over powered Kia’s genes and changed her. After she became a vampire she was in a coma like state and Damien carried her away from the masses of dead bodies.
Kia awoke a total of fifty years later and life was very different than what it had been when she was human. Yes she knew that she had been changed though she wondered what had become of her father. When she awoke she was in the back of a semi-truck chained with silver chains. Though her eyes can see in the dark this truck was pitch black. There were also three other people in the back and by the smell of it they had guns. Though she wondered why she was treated this way, her question was soon answered when she was dragged still half dazed out of the truck and into a cage. From there she was carted out into a big top tent with thousands of people inside. Many were yelling and throwing things at her and she wondered what why they were doing that. Then she noticed the sign. “Come one, Come all. See the freakily beautiful woman.” She was a freak at a circus. This angered her though she could not escape for she was chained by silver chains. Every day for the next ten years she rode with the circus all over the country that was becoming the United States. Also over that time she noticed a change inside her. She felt it more than anything. Something deadly was growing inside her. It was building and building and her control was slipping more and more. She was incredibly weak from not drinking blood and was on the verge of death when the accident happened. The truck she was charted in smashed head on into another truck. Her chains snapped from the impact and she was set free. The smell of blood was thick in the air and Kia was very thirsty.
Even though she had gotten out of the chains she couldn’t get out of the back of the truck. She tried and tried to get out but she was too weak. Her strength had whittled down to nothing more than a mere human’s. Suddenly she got angry. She was pissed because they locked her up. She was pissed because she had been a freak show for so long and she was pissed that she couldn’t get out of the truck. Her anger and hatred boiled up inside her. The more and more she thought about that damn circus the hotter she got until suddenly a small blue flame appeared on her foot. She panicked and tried to put it out thinking it would burn her; only it didn’t. As she relaxed the blue fire spread up her leg and all over her body until she was engulfed in the blue flames. She felt stronger, more powerful than ever before. She placed a fiery hand on the back door and it melted away to nothing. She jumped out of the truck and hit the ground rolling. She was done with the circus and never wanted to go back. Finding this new power fascinating and wondering what more she could do; she extended her hand towards the truck and a spray of blue flames rained over the truck melting it away to nothing. After she was sure there was nothing left of the circus she ran. Where she was headed she wasn’t quite sure.
Eventually she ended up back in Tokyo where she met with her Grandmother. She went to her grandmother’s house up in the mountains. She looked like a train wreck and her grandmother quickly took her in. Kia found out right away that Suzume was a vampire. For a vampire it’s not that hard for them to detect others. Suzume got Kia some blood and she was very gratefully. After she gained her strength back, Kia explained to her grandmother what had happened with the circus and how she had been in a coma for so long. Her grandmother told her she had the gift of Pyrokinesis. Suzume explained to Kia that when she was caught in the chemical spill a long time ago it altered her DNA; giving her a new pair of genes that contained the chemical make-up for the ability to control fire. Kia did not understand what she was saying so Suzume continued to explain. These are her exact words, “When humans are born they are given twenty-three pairs of chromosomes, but when you were in the chemical spill the chemical your mother was working with spilled all over you and the ground. Well that chemical contained the chromosome needed for Pyrokinesis. When it spilled onto you some of the chemicals entered your blood stream and your body absorbed it for nutrients. The chemical added the chromosome to your DNA causing you to go into a coma for a few years where you were younger. It makes sense to me now and I bet if I looked at your DNA you would have a gene that was created for Pyrokinesis.” Kia finally understood what was going on with her. Soon Suzume began to train her in how to use her fire controlling powers though it was not easy. Suzume was not used to dealing with vampires that have unusual powers.
A year after Kia showed up at her grandmother’s house was when she had her first attack. She had been out and about in town when it hit her. The pain rolled through her white hot and she fell to her knees. Pretty soon she was coughing up blood and people were running away scared. No one would help her and all she could do was endure the pain. She went to the house and left a small note for her grandmother saying she had to go. It had been a week since she had her last attack. For about five years she traveled around the world training herself in everything; fighting, sword fighting, and gun shooting {seeing as how they were slowly arising}. After her five year journey she decided to head back to her mother’s lab and tried to find a cure for her attacks. She spent many more years in her lab working on the cure but never found one. She found a way to calm the attacks but never a cure. She also did some research on Pyrokinesis users to see if they were any, but she found none. Slowly running out of options she chose to stay in her mother’s lab for the next ten years and learn how to control her Pyrokinesis. She slowly gained control over it but not fully. Her control was better now. She could light candles and warm tea. She also found that her fire ran very hot that was why it was blue.
After the ten years she came out and is now roaming around the world in search of someone who can help her channel this power that rests within her. She took on the job of an assassin after her skills improved. She hunted vampires and werewolves that harmed humans. She rarely used her power on them but she did meet the occasional vampire or werewolf that was too strong for her. She now hopes that there is someone out there that can help her contain this power and she will keep searching for them as long as she lives.

The wind howled as a figure ran across the street. Leaves danced down the sidewalks picking up newspapers to join the dance. Rocks slid and creatures ran. This place was abandoned. Deserted. No one comes here except run-aways and criminals. The figure hid in the shadows of the building eyes glowing and searching. Slowly the figure crept out of the shadows, eyes wandering everywhere searching for what was not there. The figure was indeed a female. A fact that became evident by her clothes or lack thereof. Sweat covered her porcelain like skin and glittered when the drops caught the light of the moon. She was beautiful her skin was soft and smooth, well most of it was. The soft and smooth skin was only a portion of the skin that covered her entire body. The rest of it was marred by scars she gained from burns. A look of panic crossed her face as seven males emerged from the shadows eyes glinting with mischief. Smiled were plastered on all their faces. Some of them swung chains while others carried pipes. A small cry escaped the female as she tried to make her getaway . But she was only pushed back and fell to the ground as a final figure emerged from the shadows. Everything about this man screamed leader from the way he walked to the way he carried himself to the glint of power in his eyes. Whatever the case was this guy was very much in charge here. The female tried to stand but the moment she made the effort four guys jumped her. Each one grabbed a limb and held her firmly in place.
”Derek you promised you would protect me from these goons. You told me you weren’t with them anymore.”
The female whispered as she struggled to get away. She knew Derek could hear her. She knew that everyone could hear her. His fangs glistened in the light of the moon as he threw his head back and laughed. A sick and twisted smile settled upon his face as he began unbuttoning his pants.
”People lie and cheat all the time to get what they want, Nakita. What should make me any different?”
His laugh was drowned out by Nakita’s screams for help. Her struggling grew more urgent as she began throwing guys off of her to get away but that only caused all of them to hold her down. This wasn’t supposed to happen. He was supposed to protect her not rape her. A snarl ripped through her as one of the guys snatched a feel from her chest. Her eyes narrowed slightly
”Derek you don’t want to do this.”
The words were surprisingly sharp and cold coming from Nakita. Derek laughed and leaned over her. His lips were inches from her neck the promise that hung there was tempting but Nakita didn’t give in.
”I’ve wanted to do this from the start.”
The wind blew harshly, no longer freezing as something snapped. Nakita’s eyes glazed over as they swirled from ocean blue to fiery red in a heartbeat. Something had changed. The roles were switched though nothing had happened yet. It was like the build up before a storm. No one moved for the longest time. Then a small fire appeared on Derek’s shoe, which he easily put out. But then the next time a fire emerged engulfing one of the guys reducing him to nothing more than a pile of ash. Everyone looked down at Nakita who was now glowing like she was burning from the inside out. It looked as though she had a fire growing inside her. The rest of the guys took off running in hopes to get away but they too were engulfed in flame and reduced to nothing more than a pile of ash. Nakita slowly rose from the ground eyes never leaving sight of Derek as he backed up to hit the wall behind him. The glow from her skin darkened slightly and with a flick of her wrist Derek, too, was nothing more than a pile of ash.
”I told you. You didn’t want to do this.”
Nakita whispered as the fire resided back within her. She held up her hand and watched the fire move back beneath her skin. She could feel its warmth running through her veins. The call of its power humming in her ears. The promise of death and destruction that she constantly ignored. This gift. This fire of hers was special. It was her own. Something she would learn to control completely. But until that day came that she could call this power hers and hers wholly, she’d still search for that one person to help calm the urges. The wind blew again and the ashes dance up and fell back down as if it was snowing. Nakita turned and disappeared into the darkness of the building still glowing slightly.
