beast and the harlot she's a cage for every unclean spirit.
A happy little giggle escaped Lyn as the umbrella snapped, sending the front half spinning to the sidewalk and clattering against a bench. The other half was still in Lyn’s hand, and she threw it over her shoulder again. This time, though, the sidewalk was empty and the umbrella handle landed harmlessly a few feet away. People had stopped running now – not all of them, but some of them – when they realized that the person who had fired was no flat on their back.
“It’s okay denizens! I have apprehended the culprit!” Lyn shouted gleefully, stepping over the human and nudging the gun to try to kick it into the gutter. Couldn’t have her trying to shoot her again! Slender fingers wrapped around the front of the woman’s jacket and she heaved her to her feet with what seemed to be little effort, her free hand on her hip. She didn’t have any problem with doing what she was about to do in front of all these people – who seemed to be cheering about her heroic episode.
The woman cursed her and Lyn just giggled and tried to spin her around and hold her back to her chest, arms folded across her chest to keep her from wriggling around. “Someone beat you to it. Now it’s your turn,” she whispered happily in her ear before nuzzling her face against the woman’s neck and inhaling deeply. Bystanders started to get more and more perplexed as they watched. Lyn’s sensitive ears picked up the faint sound of sirens, and she grinned, fangs flashing before she growled and then sank her fangs into the woman’s neck, warm, tangy blood pooling on her tongue before she swallowed.
Some dribbled form the corner of her lips, and Lyn continued to coax her life fluid from her body. Her intentions were not to kill, but to see how the woman fared as the thing she hunted. Lyn was aware that she was turning this seasoned killer into an even more efficient machine, but that was exactly what her sire had done when he’d turned her. Would this woman. . . one who was hunting vampires, continue on, or kill herself? The choices were staggering! Once she had taken enough, she dropped the woman and wiped a bit of blood from the corner of her mouth, grinning the devil’s grin – eyes wide and teeth flashing. All it took was the single bite and a few days. “I’ll come see you in a few days. . . I’d stay out of the sunlight if I were you.”

“I’m not the culprit!” the woman insisted, making Lyn just giggle to herself quietly. Was that a desperate note in her voice? Was she really that determined not to get caught by the cops? Oh how wonderful it would be if Lyn held her until they arrived! Oh but then she’d have to break in and probably get her out as well. . . as fun as that sounded, she had plans in a couple days to do – oh wait. No she didn’t! But it still probably sounded a lot more fun than it was.
Dropping the girl to the floor after she’d finished with her, Lyn grinned at her. “Oh don’t be so modest! It takes a lot of guts to shoot into a crowd like that! With all of those people around and stuff!” she cried gleefully, pulling some loose strands of hair back behind her ear before readjusting her tiara situated on her head. She wasn’t going to let this drop. She liked to make a scene, and this was definitely a nice little scene she was going to make!
The shouting about how crazy Lyn was just made her giggle again before she crouched down, flattening her rather fluffy skirt down against her legs with a couple pats from her palms, ignoring the gawkers standing around, trying to figure out what the hell was going on. The girl was still bleeding, and it sure was a sight for sore eyes. “Be that as it may!” she exclaimed gleefully before cocking her head and leaning in a little closer so she could whisper to her without the others overhearing her.
“It’ll feel like withdrawal. For the next two to three days you’ll be absolutely miserable. I’ll come find you. . . and if you don’t want to die, I suggest you do as your told,” she crooned in the other girl’s ears before getting back to her feet and skipping off around the corner. She was gone within a few seconds, but it probably wasn’t the last time Isi would see her.

Isi’s eyes went wide as the vampire whispered something so that her ears could only hear. Perhaps the witnesses thought that it was a threat. ‘It’ll feel like withdrawal.’ The vampire told her. She could only replay those words in her mind. Over and over and over again. She had not taken nor accepted the vampires blood. By all rights she shouldn’t be a vampire. But who could she call? It wasn’t as if she could go to a doctor. She had no friends. She had no family (they were actually werewolves). Vincent her new partner was the only person she had, and she had just met him a few days ago. She took him as a partner in vampire slaying. She had told him that if he was turned she would kill him. He would surely do the same if she was turned.
No one seemed to want to approach Isi, yet. The sirens were getting really, really close. As the pink haired one went right, Isi soon followed her and went left. No one had wanted to follow the pink one and no one followed the red one. It wasn’t their job to sort out and catch criminals, that should be left to the police. Especially when there were guns firing off and people being shoot at. It seemed like such a play! There was a bit of pain but perhaps it was more mental than physical. A hunter had been bitten by a vampire when vampires turned her stomach and made her physically ill. Somehow when Isi turned the block and then a few blocks on the right was her car. The whole thing had happened rather close to it. The pink one never got the keys.
Isi opened her car and drove off in the direction away from the sirens. No one noticed her getting into the vehicle or stared at her. There was just too much going on down ahead then over here. Isi drove going the speed limit and following traffic instead of her usual method of swerving. When she got home she pulled the car into the garage and ran to put holy water on her wound… She probably wouldn’t leave her house for a few days. But maybe she could hire Vincent to kill the pink haired one. He was ex military, surely he could find a crazy pink haired vampire.
