The night sky was a dark velvet blanket covering a portion of the earth in its shadow, a light fog danced along the ground. The fog illuminated the ground slightly as it glowed faintly from a nearby street lamp that was just along the edge of the forest. Jinux liked to slither his way up and down the sidewalk that layed cracked and worn out from rain and those who trea on it. His eyes waving back and forth from the shadows as if 2 fireflies danced with each other but didnt touch and kept the same distance. Slowly Jinux crept through tall patch of weeds that grew a few feet away from a tree he thought about laying atop one of its thick branches. The tree was dark and mysterious in the midnight fog, making it look lethal and wicked looking. As if something would pounce out of the trees bark and attack Jinux without warning. Carefully Jinux worked his way up the tree, it was hollow so he slithered into a little hole near the base of the tree and worked his way up to a higher hole a few feet from the one he entered.
Very slowly Jinux slithered to the edge of the branch he had chosen to lay apon, he picked this branch mostly because it had the most leaves to camouflage him even more into the trees lifeless form. Carefully watching Jinux noticed someone was walking down the walkway and was making his way toward him, the branch he had chosend went across the sidewalk and was about 12 feet above it. Carefully Jinux inched his way to where he was parallel to the sidewalk and waited eyes locked onto the shadowy figure comming closer. ]

Ara walked almost silently down the sidewalk. It led straight into the forest, which was where she was headed. She spent most of her time there, searching for evil things to kill. Of course, even if she happened to come across a vampire or werewolf or something, if she thought it no threat or was convinced that it wasn't evil, then she wouldn't harm it.
She stopped short after a moment. She felt like someone was watching her. But there was no one there. She narrowed her eyes and looked behind her, beside her, then back in front of her. She closed her eyes a moment, just listening intently to the sounds. Her eyes snapped open again and she looked up, meeting eyes with a long snake on the branch directly above her.
As she looked closer, she thought a moment. Do wild snakes usually hang out on branches above a sidewalk? Not that she knew of. So there was clearly something different about this snake. And after all the were creatures she'd been up against, she couldn't help but suspect that the snake above her wasn't just a snake. So she just stared at it, waiting for it to do something.

As the person grew closer he noticed the persons hair was long, and the body was slim and had those sublime curves women had. As she neared he noted that she was quite pretty and older than he was, she was probably around the age of 20 or in her mid 20's. Carefully Jinux followed her movements and didnt blink until she stopped, she looked confused, probably even alert as she turned around and looked behind her as if she were expecting to find someone. Then she looked up and saw him, or seem to, he wasn't sure she just stood there starring up at the branches unmoving.
Slowly Jinux wrapped his tail around the trees branch he had been laying on and let himself uncoil to slowly drop from the branch. Jinux was suspended in the air looking at the woman, his eyes locking with hers, careful not to move to fast to startle her into a run or have her scream. His slimey tongue flicked from his mouth as he tasted the air for fear, but he didnt taste fear. He didnt know what was he was tasting in the air around her. Jinux thought to himself What a weird person.... why isnt she screaming or running from me. Laughing in his mind Jinux slowly made a bobbing motion with his head toward the woman as if to acknowledge her presence.

Ara watched as the snake uncoiled himself and hung before her. She just stared at him, her face emotionless. If he was trying to scare her, which she was beginning to think he was, it wasn't working. Of all the monsters and scary things she'd come up against, a snake was nothing. And the way he bobbed his head... definitely no ordinary snake.
Either that, or a very different snake then all the wild ones she'd come up against before. But as she made eye contact with the snake, that's when her clairvoyancy kicked in. Usually that only worked when making physical contact with something or someone, but she'd been learning how to control it just through eye contact, too. She smirked slightly at the snake, getting a glimpse or two or what he was thinking.
Ara cocked an eyebrow at the snake then, "Any particular reason you're staring at me?"

Finally he aaccepted she wasnt scared, he knew some people in the world werent afraid of snakes. But he thought everyone should be scared to be bitten by one, usually most snake species were venomous and could be very fatal if bitten or on rare occasions be blinded if spit in the eye by there lethal poison. Finally she broke the contest of whom would be the first to make his or her move by speaking to Jinux. Shocked abit Jinux reared his head back as if he was just slaped in the face, finally recoiling Jinux dropped down and swiftly changed to being human. His dark brown hair shinning in the light almost making it look as if it were the source of illumination.
Smiling toward the woman Jinux stayed eyes locked with her and cocked his head to the side as if to be cute. Laughing softly Jinux replied" No reason, just watching you with interest.", as he said this he tilted his head back up and nodded towards her speaking slowly " And what would you be doing out here anyways.". His brown eyes flickering at her with even more interest because he rarely saw a sober women walking around in the woods late at night.

Ara's eyes never left the snake as it dropped to the ground. And she watched, unsurprised, as he morphed into a human. She knew by his thoughts that he was human, unless snakes suddenly began having their thoughts in english. Watching me with interest, she thought. Interesting choice of words.
She tilted her head slightly to the side as he asked her what she was doing here. Honestly, she'd just finished one of her jobs a few blocks away. But she wasn't planning on telling him that. She always used a shortcut through the forest to get back to the place she stayed. She was tired. Fighting vampires and shapeshifters every night was tiring, but it was worth it in the end. The only thing that caught her interest was this. Was this were-snake worthy to get by her without being slayed? It was her job, afterall, to kill dangerous creautres. If it weren't for the people like her, humans would probably be an endangered species. So far, he just seemed like a normal guy, except for turning into a snake, of course. If he proved himself in their conversation, she decided she'd let him go. She was too lazy tonight to fight anymore creatures... but usually, the creautres attacked her first.
"I'm taking a shortcut," she answered truthfully. "My apartment is just through the forest path."

Listening intently he nodded at her smileing, his eyes still slitted like a venomous snakes were. They went from brown to green as he blinked still unable to control it, only being 15 and a were-snake he wasn't really well trained to control it. Jinux didnt really know of any others like him, only of the other creatures he tended to hide from, trying to evade there every preying eye so he wasnt there next snack. Still looking at the woman Jinux blinked again this time his right eye changing back to brown and his left eye green and slitted.
He noticed the way she talked to him as if he were just another human, just someone like her. Laughing to himself he though She couldn't be Jinux would have sensed that she wasn't human when he saw her walking towards him. So he could only think of one other thing and that was to confusing a solution at the moment. If she were she would have attacked him or try to produce Jinux to attack 'forcing' her to kill him. So jinux tilted his head to his side and laughed softly " You know I pose you no threat. Or If I do you are mistaken, I just merely hide from the others. Others whom in there sense are like me, but different in there origin.". Smirking softly Jinux looked toward her with kind eyes trying to reassure her that he meant her no harm nor threat to her little walk home.

Well, he seemed fair enough. Obviously snake boy here could sense that she wasn't very fond of monsters, and was definitely willing to kill him right now if she felt she had to. But despite what he thought, she would never provoke a shapeshifter or any other creature to attack her. Even though she killed them for a living, she only did it when they were murderers themselves, and no on else could stop them.
All she said was, "I see."
She was still trying to figure him out. She was never good at making conversation, particularly with boys. Even if they are six years younger than her. And she had no reason not to believe him. There was definitely some truth behind what he said, and she had met and actually befriended a few creatures of the night herself. One was even a demon. She never thought a demon could be considerate like the one she'd met awhile back. He'd even saved her life. And from the way snakeboy spoke, she could tell he was definitely no threat to her at all.
