"Era...." A very faint whisper came from Hiro's bloodied lips, or maybe it was just a thought, but whatever it was it ended there. Hiro raised his arm and slowly opened his mouth, but soon his arm just fell on him and he didn't take a bite. Or say anything. His eyes grew dull and slowly closed. His heart stopped, his breathing was no more.
By any human account, the boy was now dead.
Though to any vampire, it had only happened again. This was the same as when Seras had strained his body and drained it of all its strength and blood. He fell into a deep, unavoidable slumber until his body could heal on its own accord. There was no way of telling how long it would take, but to anybody who laid eyes on him, they would think he was gone forever. Hiro was completely lifeless, and vulnerable as a vampire by any account. It was a good thing he "passed away" in Era's apartment. Nobody would harm him there.
The strangest of dreams plagued his mind as the boy laid in his slumber. "Daddy? Daddy where are you?" A small voice echoed in the darkness and when Hiro opened his eyes, all he could see amidst the deep black of everything was a figure up ahead. She was positively glowing in a white dress that was blowing lightly in a breeze that wasn't even there. No matter what, Hiro found himself not able to make any sort of contact with her. All he could do was listen to her cries for help as the little girl had lost her way. Soon she just sat down on something that wasn't really even there, just more darkness, and the daughter of Hiro cried. However, just when he wanted so badly to reach out to her, a lady and a man approached the girl. Upon closer inspection, it was himself and Era! But something was wrong, even the little girl knew it. In a moment, she took off running and screaming, and the lady shifted into a silver wolf and chased her down with ease.
All Hiro could do was watch in horror as the wolf tore the girl apart. Her screams echoing everywhere and driving him mad. Soon, he saw himself approach what was left of the girl and kneel down to bite her neck apart. The two destroyed every ounce of their own daughter and looked to be enjoying it. It was the most horrible nightmare Hiro had ever witnessed.

Watching as Hiro's eyes closed an his skin became colder then normal, sitting up she placed a hand on his cheek "Oh Hiro" Era said softly watching as he just laied there. Maybe now would be the best time to get help from that hunter, bitting her bottom lip for a moment she leaned down and kissed his cheek gently before she got to her feet; moving into her bedroom she got dressed in a pair of black short shorts and a powder blue tank top. Looking around she spotted Hiro's phone and grabbed it, she needed to contact the hunter. "Please answer your phone" Era whispered to herself as she walked out of her bedroom and stood looking at Hiro his phone clutched to her chest as she closed her eyes thinking for a moment before opening them and looking at the phone "Forgive me Hiro" she said softly.
Flicking through his texts she found the number she needed, remebering it quickly she moved over to her home phone and dialed the number with ease as she placed the cell down on the kitchen counter. "Pick up pick up" Era hissed down the phone, cradling the phone to her ear. At least the phone was ringing that was a good sign for her, hearing someone pick up she gave a sigh "You have to help him" Era almost snapped down the phone but had enough control of herself to keep her voice at a low and calm tone trying not to make it sound as if she was getting stressed by the moment, which she was.

Isi was busy calling the various hotels on the list she had gathered. It was then that the phone began to ring. She walked up to her cell which had been through being dropped and thrown. Who could be calling her? She never received phone calls. It could be Hiro or it could be another mystery person. But her thoughts were on Hiro. The number was Hiro’s. She pressed the chat button but before she could speak, ‘Hello Hiro’ another person spoke. It wasn’t Hiro but a woman. Odds were that it was Hiro’s female friend. The woman who she first assumed was human.
“Mmmm. Hello, Era.” Isi tossed a pencil in the air and caught it with her hand. “Is that the sound of desperation in your voice?” Of course it was. But what exactly could be so desperate? Isi thought that Hiro needed a painting stolen. But perhaps this was a matter regarding something else entirely. She nestled the phone with her neck and stretched out her arms. She closed the door and turned on the radio, lightly enough so that if Seras were listening in she would not be able to hear the topic and only the radio – Hopefully.

The sound of distant voices played throughout Hiro's mind, but he couldn't be quite sure no more who they belonged to, or what exactly they were saying. The more he tried to concentrate on them, the further away it all seemed. All of it simply ran together into nothing. Similar voices, neither one seemed particularly calm. Though if he had been concious, the vampire would surely have noticed it was only Era stammering into his celli, and the other voice being her clouded, worrying thoughts. When he would try hard enough, he could almost picture her again, but yet everything was still pitch black. Even the image of his own daughter laying in a pile of shreds and blood had faded away. Now, there was nothing to be seen, and only barely anything to be heard.
Hiro had only ever felt so very lost but once, and that was the time he was sure he wouldn't have gotten anywhere. Now, it only felt the same. Though he wondered if he could ever truly get used to something so lonely, the sound of Era somewhere far off in the distance let him relax at least a little bit.
His body grew icy cold to the touch, even his lips were pale and blueish. He had no breath, no heartbeat, the only thing suggesting to Era that her lover was still even alive was a single bloody tear that ran out of his eye and down his cheek, though she may not have noticed. As far as she could probably tell, he was gone. It was a question even Hiro didn't know the answer to: when will he wake up? Will he ever? Surely Isi would know more about a vampire who had been drained of his blood and life, and how the undead creatures didn't actually lose their lives, but sort of just slept for an awfully long time. The lack of knowledge about it had caused a great deal of turmoil for Seras, and somewhere deep down, Hiro hoped the same wouldn't happen to Era. But in his mind, he was sure she wouldn't be there when he woke up. If he ever did. Nobody ever was. The last time it had happened, Hiro found himself in their apartment, but it was vacant aside from himself. Seras had left, the entire building was gone. The feeling of loneliness that had taken him over in the next few months had been overwhelmingly brutal, until he stumbled across Era..

Era pushed a hand through her hair, she didn't like the sound of the woman's voice "You damned well know it is!....I-I need you to help Hiro in anyway you can" Era said softly; it was taking her every ounce of self control to not just scream down the phone at the woman on the other end. Though of course she doubted screaming would get her anywhere, walking out of the kitchen she walked up to where Hiro was laying on the floor and she sat down on the ground beside him. Reaching out to him she gently wiped away the tear that had rolled down his cheek, "Please...I will do anything, pay you any ammount you want just as long as you help my Hiro" Era almost whispered down the phone trying to stop herself from crying.
Cradling the phone to her ear she leaned over Hiro a little as she moved carefully so she was kneeling and gently moved his head and laied it gently on her lap, looking down at him Era shook her head a little as she closed her eyes taking deep quite breaths to steady herself so she wouldn't get angry.
Opening her eyes Era looked back down at Hiro's lifeless face and gently traced a finger along his cheek and shivered slightly at the coldness of his skin, it made her worry even more about him. 'Please be ok' she thought to herself. Era mibbled on her bottom lip as she clutched onto the phone she wanted her Hiro to be concious and talking again, she didn't care if he would be craving blood or anything she just wanted him back that was all. Even just seeing him laying as still as he was without a sign of life in him made her just want to break down into a sobbing heap, but Era knew one thing she was going to stay with Hiro even if he never woke up it was something she could do with little protest.

Isi had no idea the cause of the matter. She did not think that this was a trap because Hiro was too much of a gentleman. Much like how Hannibal Lector did not kill Agent Sterling though given the multiple opportunities in both of the two movies. Of course Isi was not doing her profiling based on two movies! – But on actual profile classes she had taken at the University Online during her free time. She had gotten an A – Of course. Someone like Isi could be making honest money, honest millions of dollars doing surgery, but she used her talents elsewhere.
“What has happened with Hiro?” If Isi hadn’t actually hit Hiro with her car, the voice on the other end might have thought that Isi actually sounded concerned. It seemed between the time when Isi last spoke to Hiro something grave and sinister had happened to the man. For all Isi knew, Seras had run into the man and almost killed him. “Update me onto the situation.” There was one thing Isi loved and that was to hear the words: Please...I will do anything, pay you any amount you want just as long as you help my Hiro. Maybe this could honestly work out!

For Hiro, there was no honest, conscious life right then. Being cursed as an undead vampire, being awake and spending time with his lovely Era was the closest thing to being alive that he could possibly feel. But now, that was all gone. It felt over. Completely. Hiro could hear her voices now, though the ones inside her head that she needn't speak aloud felt louder and more clear to him, if still clouded. He would try with all his might, but Hiro couldn't move, couldn't reach out and hold his lover. He couldn't see her or feel anything. Anything but the cold sorrow that consumed his heart. There had been a time he'd lived through this once before, and having feared it ever since the vampire knew it all too well. Though this time, it felt different for him. His will to survive felt stronger, but for every ounce of it, Hiro could feel it seemed that much more painful and hopeless. His body had long since been abused and deteriorating. With no blood left, it would take months, if not years to heal. At that point, he'd only wish to be thrown aside, or better yet disposed of. Being undead was horrible enough, to be cursed to a relatively immortal life. To see everything and everyone wither with age and die off but to stay younger than ever. Hiro had hated it ever since he could recall.
But now, it was different. The realization that he would outlive his Era was now more clear to him than ever. Perhaps she would already be gone by the time he'd make it back to the human realm? All Hiro could hope to do was concentrate, and hold onto what little bits of voices he could hear of his Era. It was the only thing that made him feel any bit out of hell. Her precious little body, her beautiful eyes, the brilliant warmth she brought to him, all of it was no more. He felt none of it, even though Era was right at his side. Soon, even her voices grew faint and distant. All Hiro could feel was a cold, undying, overwhelming sense of despair and loneliness. He could feel everything slipping away, even the notion to consciously think about everything. Hiro was truly going into the deepest slumber. The vampire would be as good as dead. Without blood, his body would wither and grow colder than death, and remain asleep for centuries even until it would get any. It seems, his best enemy to his undying body had been himself after all.
Slowly, Hiro's lifeless body opened its eyes. It looked almost painful. But it seemed more like a natural reaction than him being alive. They came to rest half open, but anyone could see that any colour at all was completely gone. There were no tears, no blood, or anything. The white orbs were as dull, colourless as his body. Completely lifeless. The arm that had been resting on his chest slowly slipped off and fell to his side with a sickening thud. Its skin had been torn away simply by rubbing against him and hitting the floor. All his newest wounds long since stopped healing, leaving his body riddled. For the most part, it looked as if his vampiric abilities were giving up and working in reverse almost. His skin was torn all over and coming apart, but there wasn't even any blood. Even Era's softest touch to wipe away a tear had torn his pretty face. But perhaps the worst thing for Era would be the look on Hiro's face, even as she rested by his side always. Or rather, the lack of one. His eyes empty, any expression and life was gone from him. It truly was his death, at least for now.
Just then, the strangest memories became so very clear to him. The few but most important times he had hurt his Era. The times they had made love after the vampire that he was tore her apart. The sound of her gasping for air and biting her lip in pain, the sad sound of blood droplets hitting the floor in a silent room. It was all so vivid in his mind. He could no longer hear Era's thoughts, even though she was still just by his side. Everything horrible he had ever done to the poor girl, all the pain he had caused her, he remembered it right now. If his dead body could cry, it would have. His last wills to hang on was now gone. In the deepest reaches of his mind, Hiro honestly no longer wanted to wake back up. Ever. All the terrible things he had ever done had the vampire convinced more than ever that this ought to be his end. Unless someone were to feed him blood and take care of him, it really would be too.

"I was trying to convince him to drink but he wouldn't and he...fell over onto the ground and his no responding or anything his just laying here" Era said down the phone in an almost shrill voice, "You hurt him from hitting him with your car" she added as she ran her free hand through her hair carefully.
Looking down at Hiro she saw his eyes open, feeling her heart skip a beat she broke into a grin before she noticed how his eyes looked; slowly the grin slid from her face as she gently moved his hair from his face with her free hand. "Please....help him" she begged trying her hardest not to cry at all "Just name your price".
Nibbling her bottom lip Era gently stroked his right cheek with the back of her index finger as she continued to look down at him, after a moment her tears were falling down her cheeks and a few drops splattered onto his cheeks; not really noticing Era pinched the bridge of her nose as she clenched her eyes closed. She wasn't going to give the hunter the satisfaction of letting her know she was crying, Era continued to nibble on her bottom lip in worry. Slowly she opened her eyes and looked at her free hand; maybe Hiro needed something to drink...thinking about it Era hesitently bit into her wrist before she placed her wrist against his mouth for a moment before taking her arm away and watched him a worried look still on her face; she just wanted Hiro to get better.

Isi drew scribbles with her pen. Despite her love of all things artistic Isi really had no talent drawing. Her scribbles were crude and that was why she only drew little stars, hearts, and other random shapes. “So you mean he is unconscious.” Isi stated as she shaded in a little heart. “Yes, yes, I know. When was the last time he drank, and how much?” Isi responded casually about the part of her hitting Hiro with the car. Of course she had honestly meant to hit the brakes before Hiro got hurt, she just wanted to … What did she want to accomplish earlier? It really wasn’t important now.
“I can help him. But it will cost you. Aside from the starting price of five million dollars; I’m going to need you to do something for me that will assure Hiro remains alive. I’m going to need you to kill five vampires.” It would give Isi some cause. The life of Hiro in exchange for five vampires. That would really give Isi some cause; some just reason to not harm Hiro and to possibly help him. Many years ago Isi met the vampire known as Master, deep in the darkness of a crypt in another Country. Through a totally stupid and clumsy accident she had cut herself and the blood had awoken the one in the coffin in one of the underground chambers she had stumbled into lost.
The vampire was extremely powerful and yet extremely hungry. It was perhaps only because of her indifference to him, that she amused him so, did she manage to sleigh him. He was byfar the most powerful vampire she had ever met. Thankfully because he did not know the area and she did to a slight point managed to shoot him and get him in the sunlight. It was sort of funny since “Master” was also a British gentlemen. “And don’t tell me you don’t know any bad vampires.” With five vampires dead Isi could easily help Hiro with a clean conscious. Five million dollars was the price of a nice painting stolen fresh from a museum, but to earn it so easily…? Of course Isi still had mixed emotions – Hate & Anger.

A few tears splashed onto Hiro's cheek, almost sizzling as they evaporated a little before rolling down the side of his own face. It was strange to see. His skin was colder than death itself, yet it looked and felt as though it were burning. Countless exposures to the sun finally seemed to take a tole on the vampire, as his healing weakened so very much. Even the slightest touch broke his skin but there wasn't any blood. Even the tiny bit of light that found its way into the room through the balcony doorway was enough to harm him. In his state, absolute darkness was all anyone could do in hopes to keep his body alive long enough to recuperate.
Meanwhile, Hiro thought he could hear voices again. They were distant, and fading swiftly, his abilities leaving him. But still, Era was talking to someone? No, maybe it was just her mind versus her words? There was yet definitely another voice Hiro finally managed to pick out. He searched everywhere and only after what felt like forever did her hear her thought that told the vampire his lover was conversing with the very hunter that tried to kill them both. She couldn't be trusted. At all. Hiro wanted to do what he always did, comfort Era and protect her, even if it was from that hunter again. But all he could to was try his best to reach her and time and time again her voices grew more distant. He did his best to listen, picking out stray words here or there. Kill. 5 million dollars. Vampires. Did this hunter honestly ask Era to kill off his kind to save only him? Hiro couldn't possibly dirty her hands like that on his account.
Suddenly, a familiar taste trickled into the back of his throat, and the back of his mind. It began to consume him. The taste of Era's blood as she put her wrist to his mouth for only a moment. It was enough to nearly bring him back, if only for a few moments. Hiro's eyes slowly opened as his fangs grew in. They were still deathly coloured, but with the weakest, slowest touch ever, Hiro raised an arm and tried to touch Era's cheek. As he finally put his fingers to her soft cheek, his arm fell back down to his side weakly, leaving a streak of blood on her cheek. It was what was left in his body. Somehow, this little ordeal would surely suggest life to Era, showing her he was still alive, but almost immediately afterwards, his eyes were not his soft, kind amber orbs. They were a faded crimson, weak but almost demonic. Sitting up slowly, it didn't seem to bother him that his body was weaker than Era had ever seen him before, even more than once when he'd willingly lost his arm and put holes in himself with silver bullets. Every little movement conveyed such severe pain, but the expression on his face was lacking. Hiro was no longer there, it was only a vampire that was lustful for Era's blood. He leaned his head back, a deep sigh escaping his open mouth as his tongue ran along his lips and fangs. When Hiro looked back at Era, it was a glare she had only seen but once. The one night he had murdered countless people and lost his mind completely to a monster. This was that Hiro again, only weakened.
Leaning towards her neck slowly, Hiro pushed Era over with one hand, and wasn't even anywhere near gentle about it. Though his body was dying, he still had much strength.

Looking at Hiro as soon as he started moving she felt the blood on her cheek as she listened to the hunter on the phone, "Uh I don't really remeber" she said and watched with a worried look on her face as Hiro got up. Era was now a little nervous because of the look in his eyes; "What? Kill five vampires?" she asked sound outraged, before she could say anything else she was pushed to the ground a slight 'oof' sound escaping her lips "Ok ok ok! I'll do it just come to my apartment quickly" Era squeaked down the phone quickly giving her address to the woman bofore she hung up and slid the phone across the floor away from her.
Looking up at Hiro she shook her head "Hiro this isn't you" she said firmly, shoving her hands against his chest Era just needed to keep his distracted until the damned hunter got to her place; Era had a feeling she might not be there straight away.
Watching Hiro for a moment Era looked at the wrist she had bitten, taking her hand from his chest she bit into her healed skin and held it up showing Hiro the blood "Get off me and you get a drink" she said firmly and clearly praying to god that her words would get through to the most human part of Hiro as she kept her other hand pressed firmly to his chest keeping a small space between the both of them. Though Era knew if Hiro really wanted her blood he could just force her to lay still and drink her dry, but then she wouldn't be able to pay the hunter and the hunter would have an upset vampire on her hands. Biting down on her bottom lip Era continued to look up at Hiro, she needed to distract him long enough that she could roll them over and pin him too the floor for as long as she needed too; if worse came to worse Era was going to let her wolf out to play for a bit just to keep Hiro under control.

ISI .{.EXECUTIONER.}. Runasimi → SCORCHING THE BLOOD IN MY TWISTED HEARTI’LL BE THE THORNS ON EVERY ROSE ← You don’t remember?” Isi repeated. Though on her side of the phone she only repeated softly what Era had said. There was a difference between whispering and speaking softly. Isi repeated that information not to mimic or parody Era but for herself. She was mulling the information over. Not that Era had given her any information to work off of. Not that she had any information really regarding, “Master” the terrorizing vampire. He had been chained up with silver and crosses but through the decades others must have found his tomb. None of the finders must have had good qualities because his body still lay where it was put. The only difference was that he was now contained in a coffin, the riches that protected his coffin were now long gone. The library had helped, some. But the tomes were old and in another language. Not to mention it had few pages and age had helped the ruin. Isi had had to bribe a young librarian and the price for them had not equaled the informative value.
Isi heard how outrages the (young?) woman sounded. Isi smirked. Could this woman honestly say that she had never killed, ever? But before Isi could speak and tell the woman her opinions she was given the address of her apartment. It was a good thing that the phone was disconnected because Isi gasped quite loudly! She had never thought that Hiro would be in an apartment building. All this time she had been calling only the classiest of hotels! Never before did she think he would be in a classy apartment building! This almost changed everything. Isi pouted once to herself when she realized that she should have demanded half the money to be transferred to one of her offshore accounts. It was only fair after all. But the situation was desperate and Era was in dire need of her help. Isi needed to place the new steel chains plated with high end silver and locks to the human sized table in her “basement” but she could have Seras do that while she was gone.
Instead Isi took two guns. One had silver bullets. It would kill Hiro no doubt. But she wasn’t planning on using that gun – If, if, Era kept to her agreement and paid the five million and took the lives of five vampires. The other gun was vampire proofed pepper bullets with a dash of holy water and silver sprinkles. They were not meant to be used on werewolves, ever. It would only piss off a werewolf. But to a vampire it would make him go unconscious if she knocked him out before hand. Like a tranquilizer. It was tough having different rounds for vampires and werewolves. She put the silver bullet stead gun in her left holster and the pepper gun in her right holster, Isi was right handed so she would go for the pepper gun first. She would also need her silver chains, and a jug of holy water to transport Hiro. Not to mention a sheet.
God. This feels like I’m dragging a dead body around in the car!” Isi muttered to herself after she gave Seras her strict orders. Not once had she ever really driven this long a distance with a literally dead body in her car. It didn’t make her heart beat increase. She just knew she had to drive the speed limit and not a mile above. There was seatbelts and of course she had to turn on her headlights. Her tinted windows would prevent anyone from viewing inside. And she knew she would deny anyone to search her vehicle if pulled over. Hell, she would have to shoot the cop, and destroy his video feed… “Let’s just hope I don’t get pulled over. Especially on the way back.” Isi muttered to herself as she finished typing in the address to the building. Not once did she think that this would be a trap to get caught by the authorities. However, if it was, Isi could probably have the insanity defense pulled off in a jiffy; there were silver bullets and holy water in her car!

As Era looked surprised, no more startled when Hiro shoved her over onto her back and leaned above her, the girl's worrying words never reached the gentleman's words. She was right, afterall. This was most definitely not himself, but of course the vampire had full control of him right then. Somehow, however, it seemed as though the creature of the night was also a bit of a gentleman, or at the very least he seemed to want to humour his prey. He stared lavishly at her wrist, and went to bite into her neck, but as Era spoke again, he backed off a bit and sat down as the pretty girl sat up. For the time being, Hiro was listening to her deal as if he sat back and behaved, he would get blood. Though in truth, it might just have been because ladies who think they're in control only scream and are more scared when they suddenly realize the vampire had just been playing along and they will still get bitten. Anyone could hope though that it was actually just his gentleman perhaps making a bit of an appearance.
Still, it was strange enough to see him healing more again and even just being up. Anyone could see his body was clearly dying and withering away, but Hiro still wanted blood. Why he didn't take it from an unwilling Era was anyone's guess, but in short the vampire was being a good boy and waiting. He stared constantly between her bleeding wrist, and her neck, as if contemplating which one he wanted. It was taking all his strength, of body AND mind, to be upright in a sitting position, back straight and proper without collapsing.
Meanwhile, back in the most secluded parts of the city, Seras was at her master's house preparing for the arrival of a vampire prisoner. Though she was a little more herself and less of the prissy vampire, she was still not very inclined to do what Isi told her to do. Should she have asked politely, it may have been a different story, but Seras as a vampire and a human considered Isi to be vulgar, rude, and completely not like much of a lady. And she was incredibly unpleasant to be around. However, Seras had caught wind of Hiro being brought there so she more than happily obliged to the chore of preparing the basement. It began to look sort of like a modern dungeon, chains and cuffs hanging from the steel reinforced concrete walls. Seras wasn't taking any chances with letting Hiro get away, not again. In her mind, she still believed he was the one that left her, not the other way around. And Seras always regarded Hiro as one of the strongest vampires she knew, if not THE strongest. A table, if even bolted to the floor, probably wouldn't hold him. And to force the creature to be standing all the time would put more strain on him and weaken him, but Seras didn't think about it really. All she did was do what she had to do in order to keep him there. She also had forgotten the little fact that he was in love with Era, or maybe she was just in denial.

“At least you can take orders” Era muttered as she slowly sat up, moving backwards slowly Era kept her bleeding wrist extended towards him to show him that he was going to get a drink, “Give me a second” Era said softly as she carefully got up; moving over to his phone she grabbed it quickly before she kneeled down on the floor in front of him. Her bleeding wrist sitting straight in front of his nose and mouth “You can have a drink now” she said gently, shaking her head slightly Era quickly dialled the number of her bank; she had more then enough money locked away to give the hunter and had no doubt she could easily find five vampires to kill. Telling the bank the amount of money she needed to take out there was no questions or anything from the other end of the line because they were somewhat use to her depositing large sums of money and also taking money out in very large sums; looking at Hiro for a moment Era said thankyou to the person on the other end of the phone before she hung up an placed the phone out of harms way.
“You’re only allowed a small drink” she said firmly hoping he was going to listen to that as well, to her it felt like the hunter was driving too slow; Era knew people who sped around like the hounds from hell were are them. It was rather amusing to watch in a ‘lets-hope-they-don’t-run-us-down’ kind of way; running her free hand through her hair Era let her wolf out slightly just to make sure that Hiro stayed in line. But the human side of Era still held the most control over her actions. For a little while, at least until her wolf got tired of being on a leash, glancing at her door Era was happy that it was unlocked but was slightly worried that anyone might come walking through the door to try and find out if she was home. If someone did that they were more then screwed. She had a feeling that they would be dead and her wolf would be playing ‘tag’ with Hiro and the hunter.
