"Man who paid you to play dress up Era?" he drawled, rolling her eyes Era placed her hands on her hips "I am not playing dress ups, and no-one paid me" she snapped. Without warning the guy hit her across the face hard, she hadn't been expecting that "Tell your little boyfriend to back off" he snarled. Glaring at him Era could taste blood in her mouth and ignored it "How about I save him the job of coming out here and send you all running home like puppy dogs" she snarled, without saything anything else she lashed out at the guy. It didn't matter if she attacked them over and over, and vice versa they would all heal.
Seeing the guy shifting Era shifted into her wolf form her silver orbs glinting as she growled at them, after a moment of threatening each other Era lunged for him and they started fighting. She wanted to make him hurt but then she would have to explaine to people why she would be covered in blood, she was sure she could come up with something on the spot. Feeling pain rip through her right shoulder Era yelped as she hit the ground, getting to her paws there was blood now staining her coat as she went back to attacking, she wasn't going to let her animal take over her. She was going to keep clear headed so she didn't attack strangers. |

being the caring, worrying boyfriend that he was, Hiro almost immediately followed Era outside, having only fell behind because he got stopped every so often to chat with people. As soon as the cold outside air touched his face, Hiro could smell blood. His vampire ears picked up the almost distant sound of a struggle and then he heard what he always feared most. A yelp that to him was as clear as the moon in the night sky. And it was a full moon at that!
Hearing her scream in pain, Hiro rushed a little ways down the street to see a pack of wolves going head to head with a lone white wolf. It was Era! There was blood on her shoulder and she was limping a little. Tears formed in his eyes and when he wiped them away his contacts fell out, revealing a pair of eyes as red as blood. His fangs tore out threw his gums and were fully grown and dripping with saliva within seconds. Eyes bloodshot and his heart racing like crazy, Hiro was oblivious to all pains his body screamed out at him, oblivious to reality. Nobody could have said anything to him that would have reached through his bloodthirsty conscious. For the first time since Era had met him, for only the second time in his entire life, Hiro was consumed by the powerful vampire within him, taken over by rage and a bloodthirsty motive to not only kill, but tear his foes apart.
With speed almost too quick for the naked eye to comprehend, Hiro ran at a wolf about to lunge for Era. Out of mid air, he tackled the animal to the ground and wrestled with it for a moment before the heavier wolf was on top of him. Hiro had the most sadistic smile across his lips and bit into the animal's throat, tearing it to shreds. With such strength, the rabid beast of a vampire nearly tore its head clean off as he punched his fist through the animal's chest and tore out its heart. Hiro threw the carcass onto the ground and got on top of it, breaking one of its ribs off and repeatedly stabbed the animal until it absolutely stopped moving.
Drenched in blood, just as Hiro began to stand, another wolf bit him in the side. A blood curdling scream broke the otherwise silent night air, and the vampire glared down at the animal. He ripped the beast's throat out with his bare hands, licking the blood off his fingers until yet another wolf charged him. Hiro intercepted the animal and after receiving a few claw wounds and bite marks, he tore the wolf apart. Biting into it, he tore it limb from limb. The entire alleyway was beginning to be drenched in blood and Hiro was soaked to the bone.
A final wolf had been fighting against Era and keeping her busy, but the dainty lady he once knew was surely losing herself to the wolf inside her the more she fought. Hiro barely even recognized her. All he could think of was killing the ones that hurt her. The bloodthirsty vampire made his move with such speed even the wolves could barely keep up. He lunged at the wolf, pinning it to the ground after some effort and bit into it repeatedly, tearing its flesh out with every bite. His fangs were large and sharp now and dripping with blood. Hiro bit the wolf's throat apart and drank its blood before tearing one of its legs clean off. He would show them no mercy and was as brutal as could be. Even in her wolf state, surely Era would be appalled by her current boyfriend. No, he wasn't her lover anymore, he was nothing but a monster.
Behind him, one of the more fortunate werewolfs began to stand, as he had healed enough to be left alive. Immediately, with no remorse or mercy whatsoever, the vampire stood before the surviving animal, took out a silver knife from his coat and stabbed the wolf through the heart. Before long, he pulled the blade out and stabbed him again and again, unrelenting in his violence, even if the weapon was burning his own hand.

Ignoring the pain in her shoulder and now the pain in her hand she took a deep breath as she watched Hiro, they were both coated in blood. He more so then she was, Era had a bruise forming on her cheek that had been hit. It was something she was used to, carefully she took the knife from Hiro and held the handle of the knife in her hand as her arm stayed down at her side. Era just wanted to sit down and ignore the pain in her body and maybe go to sleep, looking at her ruined shoulder she saw it was healing already but slowly. "I'm sorry...I ruined your night" she whispered as she continued to watch him carefully. |

Hiro stopped when she took the knife away from him, but his heart was still beating too fast for his health, his eyes were still dilated and blood as tears ran from them down his pale face. His fangs held no hope to hide behind his lips, they were larger and sharper than ever. Panting, his teeth were dripping with saliva and the blood of his victims, and while Hiro's body nervously shook, he couldn't calm himself. He held his head in pain, almost relaxing enough to see the carnage before him and what he had done. Slowly, one of the other werewolfs were also fortunate enough to heal and remain alive, perhaps Hiro still had had humanity in him, but when the vampire saw the body try to move out of the corner of his eye, Hiro darted for it with immense speed. All the werewolf wanted to do was bring itself up on his paws and stand. It held no more malice and was in incredible pain. Had it survived it probably would have just fled the scene. But Hiro was on him in an instant, tearing at it apart with his teeth and hands until the animal stood no chance of being alive, wether it would heal or not.
It was after which when Hiro finally realized what he had done, but more importantly what he had become. The vampire turned slowly on one foot, looking over all the violence he had caused. His lip was trembling, and the horrible rage in his eyes were all but gone. They were back to his usual, amber hues but filled with tears nobody could stop. As his hands dripped in blood, Hiro raised them palms up in front of him and stared down at all the blood. Had HE really done all this? How? Why? There were a thousand things running through his mind, but then he saw Era. The look on her face could have been anything but all he could see through his warped mind was disgust, hatred, and most of all fear. She had seen him do this, all of it. Wether it was to protect her or not he had lost it and gone too far. It felt as though he had become and entirely different person, no he hadn't been a person to do this, but now the responsibility fell on the mild mannered gentleman side of him. The guilt and disgust he felt towards himself was too much. He had only done something similar once in his life, and it was many years ago. In a sense he had also protected someone back then. His mother. But the violence was all too true. Failing to keep his promise to never go back to such a state, Hiro had let Era see him for what he had become. A sadistic monster with no passion other than for killing. Enemies or not, he had shown them absolutely no mercy and only now as a human he could show remorse. Hiro was absolutely disgusted and dissapointed , and most of all scared of himself more than ever. He knew, Era could now understand that he was a despicable, violent vampire and she shouldn't be with him.
His heart sunk, Hiro did all he could do and approached the lifeless bodies and one by one carried what was left of them to a nearby dumpster. With all the blood everywhere surely someone would notice it later, but there was no need to leave the place a complete mess. It was the least he could do. When he was finished, the vampire looked at Era sadly, but couldn't even meet eyes with her for more than a few seconds before looking away in such shame. Even if he was protecting her on a very basic level, she never needed to see him like such.
Hiro took off his blood-soaked coat and shirt, and despite the very cold winds that night, began to walk out of the alleyway. Stopping beside Era for a few moments, Hiro slowly took the knife from her hands and tore out his fangs. It was the most intense pain he had ever felt, but probably nothing compared to what he had inflicted. Hiro knelt down, took Era's soft hand in his and placed the fangs in her palm and closed her fingers around them before walking away. He didn't know where to go except back to his suite to clean himself up and then probably leave Era everything he owned and disappear. His body ached all over and the bite in his side refused to heal. Just holding onto the silver knife burned his hand considerably, but his grip on it never loosened. Hiro felt utterly lost.

Getting close to him she dropped the shoes and hit his back her arms wrapping around him her face pressed against his back "Please don't go" she whispered before she started crying, "I-I don't want you to go" she added, keeping her arms around him Era wasn't going to go away willingly or let him go away if she could help it. She was eaither going to make him force her away or accept she wasn't going to go anywhere or let him, Era bit her bottom lip slightly as she waited to hear what Hiro might say.
A few thoughts ran through her head but she didn't focus on any of them, taking a shaky breath she kept her head resting against his back "I love you Hiro" she whispered. Era wasn't going to let go of him not unless she had to, she continued to cry softly and bit her lip. |

Hiro stopped as he felt warm, comforting arms around his waist. He was bleeding all over her limbs, but yet Era never ever let go. The words she spoke hit his heart hard. Hiro slowly took her arms off him, turned around, and had the most sad, deathly look in his eyes. Anyone could have guessed how he hadn't just passed away from guilt and fear. Still, he completely forgot about himself and put a hand on her cheek.
"You poor thing. I'm so sorry... I got there heaps too late." There were tears in his eyes and he held her close to him, his body shaking in fear. "I'm so sorry.... Miss Era... I... I killed them all..." Hiro had never once in his life had a more difficult time speaking to someone about anything at all. "Now... now do you see, Miss Era? I'm a monster... you can't... you just can't love that..."
Staying with her against him for a long while, Hiro didn't even care about the cold no more. Or the pain in his body. His legs were shaking, he could barely even stand no more. His heart hadn't calmed down yet and it felt as though it would explode. But anxiety was the least of his worries then. Hiro pulled out the knife he had been carrying that was burried deep in his side. It fell to the ground with a cling and his wound closed just enough to stop the bleeding on the outside at least. The rest he couldn't see and would ignore.
"I love you so much Miss Era... I'm scared .... of me... what the hell am I anymore? What've I done?" Hiro picked up Era in his arms and began walking towards his suite, or rather the hospital but she wouldn't know they were both in the same direction. He was convinced he needed to go through more and more treatments if he were to remain with Era.
"I wish I could tell you... how sorry I am you had to see it all.... I can't even recall... I saw a man hit you... and the next thing I knew I was standing in pools of blood." Hiro whispered as he walked slowly with a limp. He could feel his heart start and stop from time to time, and just prayed it would last him at least just until he reached the hospital. Again, he had reached a new low in how much he cared about himself. His selflessness was worse than ever. She would remain 'Miss Era' and his debt to society would surely never be over.

She doubted though she could walk too far without calling it quits and going to sleep, now that she wasn't walking or fretting over things she felt tired. More so then normal, she had a feeling she might have been hit a little too hard but ignored the throbing headache she was getting and kept her eyes open. She didn't want to fall asleep not if she could help it, placing her head on her arm she watched Hiro. Era wished she could make Hiro feel better somehow but she couldn't think of anything, not with her head pounding so hard. She just hoped they would get to his suite or wherever he was taking them soon. Letting her eyes close she tried getting rid of it but ended up falling asleep in Hiro's arms even though she didn't want to, moving slightly in his arms she took her arms from around his neck and pressed her forehead against his neck as she slept. |

Hiro had heard her words clear as day but his mind was still fogged over by such pain. It was hard to make any sense out of her feelings. How could she be content with what he did? He promised to protect her but what he did was rather extreme. Perhaps she simply took it as him loving her dearly. He could only hope as such. But right then, the vampire wanted nothing more than the keep Era in his arms. Even if she hadn't fallen asleep he wouldn't have let her down. Hiro just need her to be in his arms, he needed her to feel safe with him when he absolutely didnt. Hiro needed Era to be with him more than anything right then.
After endlessly walking, Hiro was about to lose it when the hospital came into view. As soon as he walked into the building, a few nurses were alarmed but they knew who to call. Hiro's friend was less than pleased to see the two again. Upon Hiro's pleading requests, Era was given a once over and placed in a room adjacent to his own. She had her own bed, but no silly machines to frighten her when she would wake up. And even while in pain, Hiro could still talk with her through an intercom, but the view from her room prevented seeing her love r in pain.
Hiro remained chained as usual in a well insulated room and until he received word that Era had woken up, he would continue with the pain. The bright lights burned him relentlessly, but no matter how much he ached and screamed in sheer pain, his friend knew to ignore it per Hiro's request. However, his heart stopped a few times, only to upset the vampire when the treatment came to a halt. Even being a vampire, his body just couldn't take much more of this.

Era woke up slowly, her head felt fuzzy and hurt. Sitting up carefully she frowned slightly before she crinkled her nose, she was in a hospital. Looking at her shoulder she noticed a bandage and took it off she didn't care if someone would object to it, dropping the bandage onto the bed she crossed her legs and looked at her shoulder with a smile happy to see that it was healed with no scar. Feeling someone looking at her she looked up to see a nurse at the door before she left, raising an eyebrow slightly Era shurgged and leaned back in the bed comfortably.
Nibbling on her bottom lip she wondered where Hiro was and if he was ok, sitting up again she crossed her legs as she played with the sheet. Thoughts ran through her head about her Hiro and if he was around somehwere, she hoped he was. Bitting down on her lip a little harder Era was getting a little nervous, she could easily get out of the bed but she doubted that would solve a thing.

Hiro opened his eyes slowly when he somehow thought he heard Era wake up, or someone shuffling about in her room, though he then only played it off as probably his tired imagination. His body hurt so badly he could barely think straight, and his eyesight was so blurry he may as well been blind. It had been hours since he was admitted to the hospital, and hours ago the vampire already felt like dying and couldn't stand. if it weren't for the chains holding him up, he would have hit the floor like a rock a long time ago. But they were more restraints for not himself, but for the safety of others.
A little buzz hummed in Era's room and a voice began talking to her. "I see you're finally awake. Don't worry you're safe. But before you ask, I'm not so sure its a good idea for you to see Hiro right now." with a click the voice faded away, only to come back in to add "Don't worry though, he's.... well he's alright..."
The same voice chimed in on Hiro in the next room over, one that had undoubtedly been insulated or else Era would have woken up by Hiro's deathly screams of agony. It was hard to imagine how much hatred he harbored for what he had done to want to put himself willingly through so much afterwards. But before the voice could reason with him, Hiro forced his one arm free of its silver restraint and while attempting to undo the other one, his friend had no choice but to turn the uv rays back onto his friend. Hiro immediately stopped himself and withered in sheer pain, but never once told for him to stop them. It wasn't until the blood in his veins began to boil and evaporate, leaving a reddish haze around him, that the doctor finally shut it all down.

Era jumped slightly when she heard the voice over the intercom, even though her body hurt she ignored the pain. So they weren't going to let her see Hiro, bitting her bottom lip more she frowned. She wanted to see him no matter what, looking down at the hospital braclet on her arm she pulled it off. Running a hand through her hair she sighed and looked at the intercom and crossed her arms firmly over her stomach and laid back down "Stupid" she snarled to thin air not sure if the person who had spoken had heard her.
Rasing a hand she touch her cheek that had been hit and winced, that was going to stay for a while. Taking her hand from her cheek she looked at her shoulder some more making sure that there wasn't a scar and that there was no real damage done to her, one thing she was very happy about was that most of her headache was gone but it left her fuzzy headed and feeling a little irritated.

A very trusted nurse walked into Era's room hesitantly and glanced aside when she talked. "Miss... Hiro... needs to be moved, but he refuses to go anyplace until he can see you. We would like your help...please..."
Not even waiting for a reply, the nurse was very adamant about not being in the same room as her, perhaps she knew what Era was. Nonetheless, the woman walked slowly to the adjacent room and stood by the door for a few moments before walking into Hiro's cell, leaving the door open behind her. As soon as she entered the room, however, the vampire bared what was left of his fangs but refused to speak. He barely had the energy to fend them off but it was for certain he didn't want to be bothered with. His vision had gotten a bit better since the lighting was switched for a much dimmer setting, and not hazardous to his health. They had put him back into the shackles and chains for safety reasons, but every time someone would approach him he would seem too depressed to accept help. Without wanting to hurt him further, everyone decided Era would be let in to see him.
Hiro was collapsed on the floor with nothing holding him up but chains and the promise that something good will come of his torture. He didn't know what was going on anymore, except that his dying heart told him he just wanted to see Era. No matter what. His body was badly burned all over, his insides were a mess, and his mind was floating in and out of consciousness. There was a certain stank of burning and rotting flesh that filled the room, along with blood. If anyone listened carefully, they could barely hear the vampire's breath and he seemed without a pulse. Surely Era would be devastated to see him about to die like this but still, Hiro just wanted to see her if it was to be his last, but the vampire proved stubborn when in love with Era.

Frowning as she watched the nurse hurry off Era sighed softly, getting up she looked at her dress that was sitting on a chair nice and clean. Grabbing it she got changed quickly and walked to the door, bitting the inside of her bottom lip she walked to Hiro's room. Hesitating she walked inside and looked at Hiro, not saying a word she walked up to him slowly. Reaching out she touched his cheek gently "Hey" she said with a small smile, glancing at the silver restraints her eyes narrowed angrily "Take the restraints off of him" she snarled angrily.
To her they could eaither take the restraints off him themselves or she would take them off, tearing her gaze away from the people there Era looked back at Hiro her gaze softening a lot. "You know, you have to make their job easy Hiro" she whispered low enough that only Hiro would hear, she placed her hand on his neck gently as she looked at him.

In the meantime, Hiro had eventually become nothing more than a rabid animal again, cornered and tortured in his own right. He even almost bared what little fangs he had left when someone approached him again, but calmed down considerably when he heard Era's soft, soothing voice.
The doctor nodded as two nurses looked at him then each other questionably when Era told them to remove the restraints. Hiro grew angry when the nurses approached him, but he couldn't do anything to stop them anymore. The moment they released him, he collapsed onto the floor in Era's lap. Trying to cough, the vampire's body was far to weak for even that and it took a few moments for him to barely catch his breath again. The fine gentleman Era had fallen deeply in love with had protected her to the death, and was now nothing more than a withered animal. Surely it would kill any lady to see her beloved in such a state.
"Again..." Hiro muttered, what was left of his human side pleading with the doctors to get rid of his vampirism. Hiro fell onto Era, pushing her to the ground as he layed beside her on the cold concrete floor with barely any life left in him. Slowly, he opened his eyes, but they were colourless, deathly orbs. He could barely see Era, and no matter how much he wanted to reach out and hold her, his body refused to move more than his arm twitching a bit in pain. This was worse than anyone had ever seen him, but the doctor was convinced by Hiro's stubborn love and led the two nurses out of the room for the time being to let the two lovers be alone together.

When Hiro was released and sent them to the floor Era gave a soft laugh and held him to her as gently as she could, looking up at the doctor and the nurse when Hiro spoke she glared at them. When Hiro pushed her to the concrete floor and as he laid down beside her she glanced as the doctor and the nurses walked out before looking back at Hiro, moving slightly she looked at him sadly "Hiro...how could you do this?" Era asked softly as she stayed beside him.
Touching his wrists gently where the chains had been she sighed softly, she knew he had done it to try and help himself but she hated it. Giving a small smile Era shook her head slightly "Try and go to sleep...I'll be around when you wake up" she whispered then kissed his cheek gently, she knew he was in pain. Running a hand through her hair she stayed beside him, she wasn't going to go anywhere any time soon.
