Now why am I even here? was the first thought that went through his mind. The second one was more of a question on where he was, exactly. Quite obviously, he was in Moscow, for reasons that could best be described as dubious. The problem, however, was that New York was a painfully large city, and he had never been good in close, highly populated quarters to begin with. He choked slightly as a bus drove past, the acrid, harsh scents of gasoline and rubber filling his nose. Damn these humans and their incessant drive for more and more technology that poisoned the world around them. All it would take was one single slip, and they could destroy everything, beautiful or otherwise on this earth. That, needless to say, would be bad. It was the main reason he couldn't stand human places for too long. He could almost never find himself staying for more than a few months, at most. A [/b]nd that brought him back to the question of why here was there. He couldn't fathom a reason why. He'd been through New York once, a while back, and as far as he could tell, it hadn't changed at all. Okay, that wasn't completely true. The cars were a little different, and it smelled maybe a tiny bit better than it had, but the layout was largely the same. Same type of buildings, same type of people. City folk, he'd heard them called, and that was certainly the name for them. People who loved the city. He knew he would never find himself becoming one of them. Anytime he settled down for a while, it was in a relatively deserted area, with few enough people for him to be anonymous and not attract attention. Now, of course, there was anonymity in a crowd, but he hated the feeling of it. He stopped for a second, looking up at one of the huge towers of glass and steel, the moon reflected wholly in its glass. It was almost full, and though he was not at all young enough that it would affect him outright, any were-wolf would feel an itch on the night of the full moon. Still a few days left until then, but he felt the wolf shift irritably beneath his skin, all the hair on his limbs standing on end as he shivered. It was getting hungrier too, but he knew the signs. Still a while left until the urge became unbearable.... [/center] Tags: Aliyah Notes: Okay, post up Lyrics: Linkin Park

A howl rang through the streets of Moscow but none of the people seemed to notice. Just another stray dog, is what they told themselves. Dogs ran rampant through the streets often and by now the people don't really mind it. A wolf crept out of the shadows and trotted down the street. It's steel grey fur looked almost black in the light. Golden orbs scanned the streets as the wolf passed people. Many were startled by the sheer size of the wolf.
After a few moments of trotting down the street the wolf stopped and lifted its nose to the air. People around the wolf stopped to watch interested because it was rare for an animal this size to wander out in the street. A low rumbling sound erupted from the wolf as it pulled back its lips and revealed its teeth. People scattered as the wolf raised its hackles and locked its eyes on the other wolf. This wolf wasn't exactly a normal animal. Werewolves were creatures that roamed everywhere. This particular Werewolf was on a vacation of sorts, but because of the nearing full moon she was having trouble staying in her human form.
A snarl came from her as she slowly approached the other wolf. She was cautious about him because of his age. She had only been a Were for a couple of months now, but this guy? He was at least four hundred if not older and no way would she attack him unless she knew more. Right now it was all pretty much instinct that was making her act this way. The moon being so close had her all out of wack. The wolf snarled again fangs bared at the man. He looked confused, but it was nothing for her to worry about.
The man looked familiar. She’d definitely seen him somewhere before but she couldn’t place it exactly. It could have been within the stack of people to kill that kept piling up on her desk. She should be getting those done instead of taking a vacation but she needed to relax. After having bumped into her sire, she needed a down time and quite frankly she didn’t plan on running into any other wolves. She hated them but at the same time they interested her. There was so much she still had to learn but she still had yet to find anyone that could help her as much as she needed.

----------------------------------------- Mal froze as a howl tore through the night air, glancing around. The other people around him seemed to think little of the sound, probably equating it to some dog or other, one of the myriad strays that roamed the city. Mal knew better from the beginning. Such a sound could have emanated from no type of dog. There was only one type of animal that made that sound, and he couldn't imagine why such a creature would be in the city, unless it was a creature like him. Not that it was unlikely, a large city like Moscow would certainly attract all types of beasts.
The disruption on the street behind him alerted him to the presence of the other. He took a deep breath, inhaling the scents through his nose. Like him, this creature was a werewolf, a female. Unlike him, she was much younger, not even yet fifty. Hell, not even twenty, if his nose was telling him the truth, and it rarely went astray. That meant she would probably have trouble controlling her shifting, as all younger weres did. This could either turn really bad, really fast, or lead somewhere else. Where, he didn't know, but he was sure that he'd rather have that than the really bad option.
Glancing about, he made his choice. Crouching down like one would for a dog, he whistled softly. He wasn't trying to be condescending, just reaching out towards the unexperienced Were, trying to show that he was not looking for any type of fight. He pointedly kept his human form, even as the wolf grew even more annoyed inside at the appearance of one of its own kind. It wanted to play with the girl, but the more reasonable, logical portion of his mind realized that fact that she looked on edge as it was, her hackles raised and her teeth bared.
"Come on then, Let's see who you are, eh?"
----------------------------------------- Comments: Really? she's wearing that as a wolf? impressive!!! Just Kidding

The wolf growled low and deep, fangs bared as the man offered his hands to her. The female wolf snapped her jaws inches from his hands keeping low to the ground hackles raised. every part of her being was telling her to attack but the small part of her human mind was telling her he was only trying to help. Right now that human voice was extremely quiet compared to her instincts. They were almost all consuming, but she was fighting them. Gold eyes pleading for help, but warning of danger at the same time.
Giving him one final snarl, the female wolf crouched low to the ground almost as if readying for an attack. But instead she launched herself over him landing on the pavement behind him with a light thump before racing off down the nearest alley. Using what energy she could, the female wolf crouched down and forced herself to change back. It was extremely painful as all her bones and joints placed themselves back in her human form.
"Owwwww fuck!"
The words started out as a howl and changed into actual words. The female lay on the ground red hair askew around her as she shivered. The air was cold but she was still burning up. Taking a deep breath, she pushed herself up and quickly dressed pulling on her jeans and a white tang top. She also grabbed all her weapons and strapped them under her clothes. Running a hand through her red mess of hair she gave a sloppy smile as she walked out of the alley facing the guy.
"You treat me like a dog again and I will pump you full of silver."
The female growled at him as she walked towards him. Her shoes quiet against the sidewalk as she approached him. Her eyes still glowed a brilliant golden as she studied him. Yeah he was older. Much much older. At least four hundred years older. The female sighed cocking one hip and placing a hand on the same hip. She stood about five foot ten inches but he had to have been about six foot something. She looked him up and down before finally deciding that she wasn't in the mood to fight with anyone right now.

----------------------------------------- Even as the large wolf continued her aggressive behavior, Mal remained motionless, though his hand fell back to his side. He knew that she could not do anything at the time that would truly injure him, though anything she did might hurt for a while. Pain was nothing new to him. Even as she tensed and leaped, he did not move, only rising to his feet after she had disappeared around the corner. He was about to follow her into the alley when the howl began and ended in human speech, albeit a harsh word. He was surprised, however, when she came out fully dressed. Obviously, she had managed to keep some clothes nearby, though where exactly, he wasn't sure. Obviously somewhere in that alley.
At least she was able to control herself enough to turn back into a human form with the full moon so close, though he doubted that she would be able to control it in a few days. Even now, she seemed strained from the transformation. His hands slid slowly into the pockets of his jeans as he watched her come, his green eyes tracking her movement. His nose inhaled, taking in her scent again, though this time as a human. He could not miss the weapons strapped under her clothes, not only because they made a slight impression underneath, but also because he was well used to the smell of gunpowder and lead. She was armed, but seemed hesitant to use those weapons.
Mal took a step forward, placing himself very close to her. On the deserted street, it was unnecessary, but he felt the need to make a point. "Let me say this, lass. If you act like a wild mutt again, I'll treat you however you want. Prove to me there's a person in there, and then we can threaten me okay? He stepped back, glancing at the moon. "You don't have long, now..." -----------------------------------------

When he approached her and closed the space between them, she did not back down. She met his gaze with her own golden eyes. No way was she going to let some stupid wolf who was older than her cow her into submission. A low growl came from her as she left little space between them.
"I'm sure you've already noticed but I'm new to the whole werewolf thing and I can't quite control it yet. Unlike your old ass."
She snapped the last little bit inches from his ear as she stepped away from him. The smell of the streets once again filled her nose. Huh she hadn't even realized his scent had clouded her nose that much. It was actually kind of a slap in the face when the world crashed into her. Shaking her head she dug in her pocket and fished out a pack of cigarettes and placed one in her mouth. After a moment's hesitation she offered him one, holding the pack so he could reach it. She pulled out a lighter and flicked it to life lighting up her cigarette. Her body visibly relaxed as she took a long drag from the cig. Smoke curled from her lips and she smiled a little.
"Look I'm sorry that I'm being such a bitch, so to speak. The moon is making things rather unbearable and add to the fact that I change everytime I get over emotional well this isn't turning out to be much of a vacation."
The female sighed leaning against the nearest building, the chill of the night doing nothing to her already warm body. She took another drag from her cigarette letting the smoke blow around wildly. Her mind traveling away from there as her fingers went to her neck fingering the vampire bit there. After a few moments she realized she spaced and snapped back to reality.
"Wow I'm sorry. I'm bad at this whole meeting new people thing. My name is Aliyah, I'm uh not from around her and from the looks of it neither are you."
She laughed offering a small smile to the wolf. She pushed off the wall extending her hand to him hoping he didn't think she was too bipolar with her moods, considering she was just yelling at him. The moon was really messing with her and now that she was human and standing out under it well she was having a really hard time staying furless.

----------------------------------------- As she replied, his eyes watched her, then widened slightly. His old ass? Well, that wasn't very nice. Sure he was old, but like any "old timer" he was a bit sensitive about it, even if he didn't look it. It was annoying to be ribbed by one such as her, freshly turned, and still not probably fully at ease with what she had become. Still, it was a breath of fresh air from other turnlings he'd known. At least she wasn't moaning and weeping about her situation. It was those that he couldn't stand. No, she was defiant in the face of something he'd once seen a person commit suicide over, and that was admirable. Well, to him at least.
He reached out and took one of the cigarettes. He wasn't an habitual smoker, but it didn't harm him any, his Were-wolf regeneration healing the damage that the chemicals within the cigarette did, including the addictions. He waited for a brief moment, but she didn't offer him the lighter, so he took a slightly more personal action. Stepping close, he lit the tip of his cigarette with the tip of hers, taking a drag of the smoke. The heat flooded through his lungs, and he shivered slightly, fighting the cold off.
At her apology, he shook his head, grinning. It gave him a slightly feral look, his canines just a little too long to be considered normal. "Please, it's no real bother to me. You're not at all the bitchiest were-wolf I've met this close to the full moon." He watched her for a second, green eyes glowing in the moonlight. She might not need his help, but he felt obligated to offer it nonetheless, if just for pleasantries sake.
When she introduced herself, he was shaken out of his own line of thought. Then he caught himself, stretching out his own hand to take hers, although his coarse callused skin must have felt rough on hers. "I'm Mal. Malcolm, actually, though everyone calls me by my nickname. I try not to live up to it...usually..."
