( OFF WITH YOUR HEAD DANCE TILL YOU'RE DEAD HEADS WILL ROLL )all chrome the men cry out the girls cry out oh no The last traces of the sun disappeared over the horizon, leaving the night to cast its cloak of darkness over the city of Moscow. It was at this time that all sorts of creatures, harbouring from the daylight, came out to play and Valkyrie was certainly one of them. The female vampire was strikingly beautiful; her long, shiny brunette hair cascaded down her shoulders in lush locks; her skin was flawless and porcelain; good bone structure; desireable high cheekbones, full red lips and dark eyes that none would dare to hold their gaze as she possessed a certain predatory aura that caused people to shy away from her.
Valkyrie was free to roam wherever she liked now that she was under the cover of darkness. She was old so she had built up some kind of resistance to the sunlight; she was able to survive longer in direct light from the sun than any younger vampire would be capable of but she would also suffer from it, leaving her feeling weak and, depending upon the length of time spent, also with blistered and raw skin so she tended to avoid doing so if she could. She preferred the night anyway, it was so bewitching and offered excellent cover for hunting. The thirst wasn't as great either as a newborn's would be, she didn't need to feed as often as they did; she could go for days without blood though it would weaken her so eventually she would have to give in to the thirst.
The black dress she wore was low-cut, a large cross necklace hung around her neck, it wasn't real silver to prevent the burning symptoms but still even if it had been the quantity of it was hardly enough to kill her, and left her back bare with only straps holding the halter-style dress in place. It made her look elegant and dangerous at the same time which was what she liked most about it. She strolled aimlessly down a dark street, her steps hollow with a melancholy drear that she had about her, her mind troubled but yet pushed away so that her actions were indeed very mechanical. Her steps repetitive she did nothing to throw spice nor pizzazz into the way she acted though she did not need to as even so her stride was a spectacle to behold. She moved as if she were floating rather than walking, no runway model could possibly mimick her movements.
Valkyrie let her feet decide her destination, her black sandal heels clicking softly against the pavement. She held her head high and her eyes were set firmly in front of her, determined to ignore everything going on around her so she had no idea when she finally arrived in the red square, Moscow's main marketplace, and where a lot of thievery would surely take place. Valkyrie had yet to be disturbed by some sleazy commoner though she had been aware of the occasional pickpocket stealing from people around her, as long as they never bothered her then she saw no reason to interfere, she gained nothing from it.
Tonight was different though as she suddenly froze when she caught the scent of a demonic prescense. A demon here? She wondered and curiosity got the better of her. She looked around for the source and then caught sight of a red headed girl struggling with a mugger, not struggling exactly as it seemed very much like she could hold her own but still her mugger refused to get the message. Perhaps it would be best to give the girl a hand? She pondered the thought for a while which was only about second for a human and she was already moving towards the pair at an impressive speed.
She did not run, there was no need to, she only needed to walk over and already the mugger would feel nervous, their inferior instincts knowing only danger approached. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." Valkyrie spoke in fluent Russian, her accent being nothing easily identified but definitely aged. She layered her voice with a soft alluring sound that would seem irresistable, which was due to her vampire pheromones. "Let the nice girl go and leave here." She continued, her tones never faltering as she was firm on getting what she wanted. As if under some kind of trance, the mugger instantly released his grip on the girl's bag and hand, turning around and heading off in a different direction, away from the marketplace and hopefully to never be seen again. A little taste on the way back would be most delightful, Valkyrie thought with a smile and turned her attention back towards the demon girl. "A nuisance, are they not? You should be more careful. A creature such as yourself wouldn't want to let loose in front of all these people. That would be very unwise." She told her, though her vocals seemed charming and sophisticated, there was a threat buried beneath the surface.
Valkyrie would very much enjoy the chaos and fear but not nearly as much if it wasn't her causing it. The simple fact was she saw this demon as competition. A pleasant smile that could only pass as being friendly flashed across the vampire's face. Don't get her wrong though, she would play things out a bit, test the waters and see just how this demon worked. She liked to get to know her opponent first, she hardly felt this would lead to a fight, there was no need for it. Valkyrie always felt that her species was too quick to enter into a fight when something so much time and energy consuming could be prevented. Perhaps she might even befriend her? She could prove useful...
