XITLALLI → SUMMER HAS COME AND PAST THE INNOCENT CAN NEVER LAST HERE COMES THE RAIN AGAIN DRENCHED IN MY PAIN AGAIN BECOMING WHO WE ARE ← Xitlalli had to constantly remind herself not to pay attention to the human. She was not as swamped as the woman was, but more than one opponent did make things more complicated. You had to split your attention to keep track of them all, as they were constantly moving. If they would stay still the vampire would just have to memorize where they were. . . . But that wasn’t the case. It was always more complicated than that, wasn’t it? At least she was older. And faster. At this stage it was like fighting athletic humans, and not vampires. She swung her blade expertly, working her feet to spin and twist and keep them away from her. Her mission was to cut their down numbers, not completely eradicate them.
The vampires weren’t dumb animals. They were out-skilled even if they were not outnumbered. Several of them—the smarter and most sensible of the horde—were hanging back and merely slipped away to find some more easier to pray to sate their thirst. Some already in the fight were fleeing now, and Xitlalli let them go. Maybe this would teach them that they needed to control themselves a little better than they do already. Her blade came to rest at her side once the onslaught had stopped, and she looked at the body count, taking a mental note of how many were slain compared to how many there had been estimated. She hadn’t even had to use her power that much. Satisfied, she turned to check on the human and retrieve her blade.

XITLALLI → SUMMER HAS COME AND PAST THE INNOCENT CAN NEVER LAST HERE COMES THE RAIN AGAIN DRENCHED IN MY PAIN AGAIN BECOMING WHO WE ARE ← Taking her blade back from the human, she was glad that she had even got it back without using force: this woman didn’t seem like the trustworthy kind. However, she had held her own in the fight and Xitlalli hadn’t had to worry about her too much. She admired that in a human and a partner when it came to fights: she hated having to worry about herself and the other person, which she normally did anyway. Xitlalli sheathed both of her blades back where they had come from and turned to see if there were any remaining vampires lingering around for her to slay. Her fingers clenched and relaxed, and the blood that had splattered on her quickly retracted, leaving her skin clean with just a little bit of a red stain from the life liquid.
“You’re not going to stop them? With your power? You’re just going to let them roam free?” the human asked incredulously. Xitlalli sighed and turned slowly to look at the human. Of course that would be her first concern. She could see the accusing look in the woman’s eyes. This lady wanted all of those vampires dead or dying. A hunter, through and through. The old vampire didn’t know this woman’s past with vampires so she couldn’t understand why she held the vendetta, but Xitlalli could bet that it was something she could easily have gotten over. However, humans seemed to be full of inexplicable rage that festered inside them until they were satisfied. It didn’t make any sense, but as a goddess it was not her place to judge.
Coming to a full turn, Xitlalli now faced the human, obviously not afraid of her. “I will allow them to get away. I see no reason for a few of them to survive. I was merely doing population control here. . . not an eradication,” Xitlalli explained slowly to make sure that this woman understand what she was saying. Glancing over her shoulder, she watched the forest for a minute before sighing. “You anger at their existence is confounding. You and every other hunter. Tell me, why do you hunt? Because they kill humans? Then riddle me this, human. Do mice arm themselves and hunt down and kill the cats that eat them? Is your hubris so large that you cannot accept the fact that this is nature and that you are not the top of the food chain?”

ISI .{.EXECUTIONER.}. RUNASIMI → SCORCHING THE BLOOD IN MY TWISTED HEARTI’LL BE THE THORNS ON EVERY ROSE ← Isi was not angry, she was fuming with rage, outraged, and severely cross all at once! All of the vampires had taken leave and scattered except for one. The one Isi had worked with. It did Isi no good that she had absolutely no weapon to work with. All her bullets were gone. Her guns were jammed. She had no backup knife. And the female vampire had not one but two weapons and was spectacular at using them (not that Isi would ever admit that, not even so in her thoughts!). She was so livid that she could not speak. She took to breathing which she did at a normal rate or at least a normal range. Were she to take a lie detector test overseen by anyone at the CIA she would pass.
An eradication is what needs to be done! An annihilation, obliteration!” Isi responded coolly. She was still annoyed that the vampire had not killed the others but had let them leave. Her voice was as neutral as she could make it compared to the previous twenty seconds when she had shouted and sounded menacing. Though she sounded calm her words were icy and harsh. It was one of her traits. She could say something, anything like: ‘I’ll kill you over that parking spot.’ Or maybe: ‘I love you’ would be a better example. And her voice would sound ominous. She could also go the other way and sound just as sweet and be disbelieving. She could try and pretend to be innocent. People did not think highly of women when it came to murder. Isi had never been a suspect in anything, nor had any of her aliases. Though that was, she deduced, to clever planning.
They will still make more. I doubt they will stop.” Isi was tempted to look into the woods but had no weapons. Besides, she had best pay attention to the vampire before her; the vampire who was good with combat. Isi’s eyes had never left the vampires figure. She was prepared to not go down easily without a fight if it so be it that this vampire would kill her. She disliked immensely not knowing the outcome. She had always been determined to make her own but without weapons she felt lost, humble, mortified. The vampire was still talking to Isi. She was baffled by her anger as well as the anger of other hunters. It was at this moment that Isi thought she understood the vampire. She seemed to not care for the life of her fellow vampires as long as their numbers were down. She did not feel anger. Not in the way Isi did.
I don’t have to explain myself to you or anyone.” Isi felt herself to be narcissistic. She felt that she was beyond everything in all possible ways. She was way too smart to get caught. But then again, it was always nice to chat about killing. The days long ago when she had tortured she felt the need to draw on and on about it. ‘Dexter’ from the TV show entitled ‘Dexter’ just killed his victim. He didn’t give speeches, he didn’t laugh, didn’t seem to really torture anyone (aside from showing the photos of the murder victims to the killers who got away from justice before killing them himself). “I hunt. You want to know why I hunt?” Isi laughed. Why did she hunt?
She was about to scare the vampire (if she could be given a shock). The words Isi spoke might even get her killed. Isi was psychotic, unbalanced and had a twisted version of the shades of white and black. “Are you expecting me to admit that vampires killed my family?” Isi laughed. By her twisted laughter it took no genius to figure out that no vampire killed Isi’s family. Not that she would ever admit her ‘family’ was alive. Her DNA relatives (which she would never admit to under torture) both near and far were werewolves. They were alive and kicking, unfortunately. “I just like killing. I’m sure if mice had brains and opposable thumbs they would find a way to take out cats.” She sounded dangerous. This was a woman who had no good feasible reason to kill vampires.
Her straight red hair blew with the night wind. Her hands were half inside her pockets and half out. The tips of her perfectly manicured fingernails (minus one on her right hand which had broken of its own accord on the plane) were in her pockets. “You don’t seem to care about the lives of your fellow vampires. I don’t care about the lives of my fellow humans.” She gave a nonchalant shrug. Isi herself did not feel human though she certainly was not a dirty were-wolf or filthy vampire! It had been hard to say ‘my fellow humans’ though she presented her speech perfectly and had not lapsed over a single second. The vampire should be none the wiser to that.
Isi was indeed human even if her parentage (who were dead to her) was of were-wolf and human. She had convinced herself that and also the fact that she had come from a regular home, of sorts. She was very good at blocking out things she did not want to remember. But her killings did not haunt her in the least bit. She never cried out in her sleep or saw the dead faces of her fatalities (one would call them victims but they were no more a victim in Isi’s eyes than someone inserting some sort of scenario). As soon as Isi killed she forgot everything. They were of no importance to her. If she was pressed to remember the killings by photos she would honestly not remember their faces (except maybe Anastasia who she still had to kill).
Yhy do you hunt?” Isi returned the question. “Does it fill you with orgasm? Do you like the smell of death? The power? Or maybe, is it just the money?” The first was true for Isi though she would not admit it since she had not been asked and it was not the sort of thing to even share with an outsider. She did not like the smell of death. She slightly got off on the power. And of course the money was good too! It was very good. It was a big plus! – Not that she received a lot of money for her work. If she killed someone who was wealthy she would transfer the funds into an offshore account and then keep transferring the money until it was safely good and lost. Unless someone had a body there would be no death. And vampires bodies vanished with the sunrise. What was not to love?
In all honesty Isi really did not care for her ‘fellow’ humans lives. Sure she thought that a human or two or four or four hundred would die but it was only a single passing thought. If she had the choice to save a humans life and become exposed as a killer (of the vampire though no one would know that) or let a human die but kill a vampire and remain anonymous she would always choose the option which she saved herself. It wasn’t as if she could allow anyone to see her face so most of the time humans died; though it was usually not by her hand. The human should have been smarter. If they died by a vampires hand it was their own fault! But one should not set off a hunter in the tales of dead human co-workers, slaves, pets, assistants to vampires. They would die like their vampire lords and masters. Work for or with a vampire? - You deserved to die! Isi would kill you herself….
Now if you excuse me. I am going to find a new weapons supplier.” It was going to be a very big challenge consider Isi was in a foreign country, it was night and she was female. The vampire should know without Isi’s expressed opinion what the new weapons would be for. Isi would slaughter them. Eradication? That was just the proper word! The abominations of nature needed to die. There was no way on this ‘Gods’ green earth that these vampires would live (minus the one she was talking to since Isi thought she was very strong, perhaps later with a sniper rifle, a holy one). Hiro, a vampire, had lived because Era, his werewolf girlfriend had killed three vampires in exchange for his life. Isi was wicked. She had preyed upon the fear, the devotion and love and had turned someone who might have been good into someone bad. It further justified Isi’s examples in her mind that vampires and werewolves were weak, evil, foul, vile, sinful, criminal, immoral and full of malevolence!

XITLALLI → SUMMER HAS COME AND PAST THE INNOCENT CAN NEVER LAST HERE COMES THE RAIN AGAIN DRENCHED IN MY PAIN AGAIN BECOMING WHO WE ARE ← It was not hard to tell that the human was upset by Xitlalli’s obvious lack of regard for the vampires that were running off. The conflict on whether or not to chase them was evident in the woman’s posture as well that look on her face. Oh what this woman must have gone through to hate vampires. The vampiress couldn’t imagine what that situation must be, or if there even was a situation, but whatever it was had some strong impact on this woman.
Xitlalli sighed and shook her head. “Your outburst doesn’t make sense, Miss. Vampires are merely doing as they were programmed to survive, as any other species. You humans kill many animals to eat without regards for what the animals are feeling. Other animals hunt each other to eat and survive. Why do you get to choose which is in the right and which isn’t? Vampires need not be eradicated—or obliterated as you so vehemently suggested—for doing what they must to survive. You fear them because you don’t understand them, and you humans have that habit of destroying what you fear and can’t explain. It is a self-destructive path and you are sometimes worse than the creatures you hunt down.”
The more the vampire spoke to this woman and listened to her speak, the more she realized that this woman was far too stubborn and blind be reasoned with. Perhaps she was even too stupid to be reasoned with. Xitlalli shook her head at the thought, and at the same time Isi asked her a question. Of course, the result still would have been a shake of her head. Even though Xitlalli had no real interest in why this woman hunted, she knew that she was going to tell her anyway so instead of fighting it, she merely tilted her head to look interested and quietly listened.
Expecting? Xitlalli let a soft smile cross her features and she shook her head. “I did not expect anything, Miss. And you are mistaken. . . . Mice have opposable thumbs, as do all rodents. Rodents are also fairly smart contrary to popular belief. Perhaps not as smart as a dog or a dolphin or other intelligent life, but they do have the things that you mentioned. They have teeth and claws as well, but they do not group together despite living in large groups, nor do they solely attack cats. They accept their fate and try to get stay out of the cats’ paths.
“Of course, any other animals that end up as prey do not chase after their aggressors in some sort of preemptive strike. You humans cannot accept the fact that you are inferior to a species and therefore you must destroy it. You call it unnatural. You call us freaks of nature, and that we shouldn’t exist. However, if that was true, why would we exist? If we were not meant to be, then we wouldn’t be. The gods have reason for everything and you are out of line to question that and try to change it.”
The Aztec vampire was aware that all of this was more than likely going to fall on deaf ears: humans were incredibly pig-headed and would not listen to reason. However, so long as she spoke it and so long as the human heard at least a little bit, then her job was finished. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Something would hopefully get through to the woman. Perhaps what she needed was to become what she hunted in order to understand, but that was not how things worked.
This woman was full of misconceptions and false assumptions. Perhaps she was not as observant as Xitlalli had first thought. . . . Her head hung for a moment as she shook her head. How could one of the gods’ children have gone so wrong? “Miss, I do not hunt. My sacrifces are willing. Honored, even, to give some of their life to sustain me. I do not kill my sacrifices, taking only what I need. These vampires, the reason I am here and tracking them was because I was asked to by a group of other vampires. They knew these vampires were a thread and I was to perform population control. It is not what you think: vampires do not just run around turning people willy-nilly. These vampires that survived will be under a new impression of the world.
“You and I. . . . We are having an intelligent conversation, no? Despite the fact that you are young and obvious naïve about the world. Vampires are not mindless beasts that function on pure instinct. We are as human as you are intelligence-wise. Once these new vampires feed for the first time, their minds will clear and they will have better control. Perhaps you should learn more about us before you decide to kill us.”
She was a talker. Though the vampire wasn’t sure why she was talking to her like this. None of what she said was going to make a difference, Xitlalli could already tell. Her expression, the way she spoke—hiding her anger behind apathy—all of it pointed to a moronic human with a closed mind. Already she was excusing herself from the conversation and Xitlalli could do nothing but watch her go. It wasn’t her place to keep her against her will, and it wasn’t her place to force her to change the way she looked at things. All life had the right to live their lives the way they did, and it wasn’t right for a god to force people to change. It was a god’s job to provide their subjects with alternate routes that might save their children from a horrible death, from karma, or from hell—however you wanted to look at it—but in the end, everyone had free will.
However, Xitlalli was beginning to learn a little bit more about this human and how she functioned. Double standards. . . . That was what Xitlalli saw in this woman. She turned slightly and stepped back a little bit in order to watch the woman go. Then, she sighed and spoke again. “I take no issue with you enjoying the thrill of a kill, Miss. But I do wonder why you seem so interested in killing immortals instead of humans. Do you perhaps not enjoy the thrill of a kill? Are you perhaps trying to justify your impulsive by only killing what you deem ‘evil’? I don’t think you are as tough as you seem to be.”

ISI .{.EXECUTIONER.}. RUNASIMI → SCORCHING THE BLOOD IN MY TWISTED HEARTI’LL BE THE THORNS ON EVERY ROSE ← Hey. You asked.” Isi said as she raised her eyebrows. She did not feel that she needed to defend herself. Her ‘outbursts’ may not have made any sense to this creature but they made perfect sense to Isi. If this vampire did not like answers then she should not ask questions. Isi tilted and her hip cracked into place. She had forgotten to do her stretches. It made just the tinniest sound but it was likely the vampire had heard. It was the equivalent of cracking knuckles. “I don’t fear them. You’ve got that part wrong.” Of course Isi knew she was worse than the creatures she slaughtered. She knew. Oh how she knew. She smiled a knowing smile. Isi was proud of her viciousness.
Isi rolled her eyes as the vampire spoke about the features of mice and cats. “If you say they do,” Isi said to the part about mice having opposable thumbs as well as all rodents. Isi didn’t bother with rodents when she saw them in abandoned warehouses though it was often tempting to squish the life out of them. She ignored them and they ignored her. It was a situation she was perfectly fine with. “Maybe because that would be like you or me facing down an elephant? Or Godzilla.” Mice were very tiny and cats were about fifty times their size.
I’m not one for accepting fate. I like to create my own.” Isi tucked a loose strand of red hair behind her ear. Isi narrowed her eyes as the vampire now spoke about inferior beings and the fact that vampires shouldn’t exist but did and that the gods have allowed it. “Humans are not damned!” Isi spat. They were simple enough words but they would make any new vampire unsure of themselves cringe with doubt. Did she honestly need to shout out examples? Vampires could not go out in the daylight. Their bodies would turn into dust; it sounded rather painful the many times Isi had used the sun as a weapon. Vampires also held no souls. The words of the Bible made them cringe. They were damned.
GoD is on MY side.” The ‘d’ on God was harsh, showing that Isi felt there was only one God. Not of course that she was a believer. She hunted, called vampires abominations but was not a believer. Because why would God let these creatures loose? But it was something that she could sweep under the Persian rug. It was what all people did when certain facts did not fit. It was a very human thing.
Those you killed did not seem very willing to die!” Isi pointed out. No one was willing to die. But there was a difference in struggling to live and accepting that you cannot control these circumstances and that your life flame is about to be blown out. “Yes, yes. I know why you’re here. You already explained that. Do you think because I am human I need things to be repeated to me, twice?” Isi did not sound happy. She HATED it when people repeated themselves. She had heard them the first time! “It is exactly what I think. What I believe. Vampires do run around and turn people. We are nothing but cattle to them. Stupider than cattle, blind and deaf cattle! – Most don’t seem…”
Humans were blind to the existence of vampires. The few humans that knew either sided up with vampires and worked for them in hopes of becoming like them or they did what Isi did, dedicated their lives to hunting them. Isi would fear the worst if everyone knew about vampires. There were so many Twilight fans and Edward lovers. The world would be blown into disproportion. Isi would need to be locked into an asylum because she would go mad. It was a very good thing no vampire seemed to want to announce their existence to the world!
What new impression would that be, exactly?” Isi asked though it was something she honestly did not wish to know. There was not an inkling of curiosity. “That it’s okay to snatch other humans like they once were, turn them and have them wreak havoc? But just a little bit of havoc because if they do too much then someone from somewhere is going to sleigh them? Each of those newborn vampires is going to take a life tonight, feeding (Isi made a face that showed her obvious disgust) and then the night after it’s going to continue and the death toll will double.” Isi crossed her arms under her breasts.
Why am I under the impression that you think I am stupid?” If vampires were as human as how the vampire thought Isi’s intelligence weighed…. Isi did not like being called naïve. She was anything but! She knew about the existence of creatures that would snatch you. All those runaways? They were victims. All those missing homeless? More victims. A few teens were probably in lockdown for beating a homeless man who later died from a vampire or were-abominable. The missing club goers? And the latest case of trust fund babies being held on an island for murdering a native girl? – Work of a vampire! Naïve was not knowing that there were things that could eat you out there!
Oh yeah. Perhaps the next vampire I meet I should chat up?! Oh, but it’s kind of hard when they’re trying to kill me!” That was surely a fucking laugh! Trying to talk to a vampire? It was sort of hard since they all seemed to find Isi extremely delectable. If she hadn’t armed herself she would surely be dead by now, six feet under or unidentified in the local morgue being picked and prodded at by the medical examiner!
Because dead human bodies don’t disappear when the sun rises.” If there were no vampires then Isi would focus on stealing rather than assassinations. In her early years she did kill people for money but each time she accepted a job it was risky. She got out when the going was good. She liked to kill but she could live without it though it would be a dissatisfied life. “Most people don’t.” Isi responded. No one thought of her as ‘tough’. She didn’t look it to be honest though her eyes were cold and uncaring. She wanted to leave yet there was no way she would give this vampire her back.
So who are your people?” Isi asked. She wanted to know who this woman worked for. If there was one thing Isi liked to do it was to find new vampire nests. This vampire was powerful and she knew that the others she worked for would be equally old and equally as powerful. But Isi realized they probably kept manila folders on people like her (though Isi had never given her name and had entered the country with a fake passport). Isi would like to keep a manila folder on this vampire and her organization.

XITLALLI → SUMMER HAS COME AND PAST THE INNOCENT CAN NEVER LAST HERE COMES THE RAIN AGAIN DRENCHED IN MY PAIN AGAIN BECOMING WHO WE ARE ← Xitlalli could not help but smile condescendingly at the human before her. What a silly question to ask. "You are under the impression that I think you are stupid because I do believe you are incredibly moronic. Your logic is not sound and I believe you don't know what you are saying half the time," the vampire replied with a flat tone. The woman had asked, so she was not about to lie to her.
More dribble spewed forth from the woman and this time, this time Xitlalli could not help but titter quietly at the madness that this girl spouted!
However, Xitlalli composed herself and merely shook her head. The bemused smile didn't leave her lips, and she looked down her nose at the woman. "My child, you are 'chatting up' a vampire right now! At least, that is the name that you people have given me. I have not nor will attempt to kill you unless you make the mistake of trying to kill me. We are having a pleasant debate right now, are we not? Your misguided beliefs are strangely amusing," she pointed out.
It was just hard to hear this woman rant about how she couldn't very well talk to a vampire because they were all brainless blood suckers! Xitlalli knew vampires that got along with humans, keeping them as neither slaves nor pets, but merely as friends, and she herself had run into several intellectual immortals that would rather talk than maul. Humans. . . they were always judging a whole based on a part.
Of course, Xitlalli didn't think herself a vampire in the sense. Yes, she was like the others where she needed blood to survive and she had met Afanasii, a fire-wielding vampire as she was a water-wielder, but she felt she was more goddess than she was vampire. Or perhaps all vampires were forms of gods. . . and werewolves and the like, too. . . . It was strange how the gods worked, so one could not know for sure. Naturally she was going to keep these thoughts to herself. . . . Humans seemed to become even more irrational when religion was brought into the play.
"My people? They live scattered in what you now call Mexico, and throughout that whole area. We were once a proud race, the Aztecs," she answered simply with a reminiscent look, her head tilted back a pace. Oh how she wished they hadn't lost their ways. . . . But such was life. "Why do you ask?"

XITLALLI → SUMMER HAS COME AND PAST THE INNOCENT CAN NEVER LAST HERE COMES THE RAIN AGAIN DRENCHED IN MY PAIN AGAIN BECOMING WHO WE ARE ← Xitlalli raised her eyebrows. She had upset this woman, that much she was able to realize. However. . . she did not much care, either. People took things too personally in this day and age. . . . Humans especially, but immortals did as well. If everyone could just calm down and realize that you were not the only person in the world, then perhaps the world would become a better place. . . but of course that was asking too much.
Her question was rather amusing. “All beliefs? No, dear human. Not all beliefs are illogical. Yours is merely rooted in misplaced anger at something that went wrong in your life. You cling uselessly to the idea that you can make it through this life. Though you may not want to accept it or you may not even know. . . but some part of you wishes for death. Miss. . . . You do understand that I would have no issue taking your life right this second? You are unarmed woefully under-skilled. I would not even have to touch you to kill you. . . ,” she replied flatly. “But I have no reason to, therefore I won’t. I have no violent urges to feed from you. Even if I was thirsty I would not have a violent urge.”
Lectures. . . . They were the Aztec vampire’s favorite way to talk to people. She felt it was her job to inform everyone of how it really is, not how they want it to be. This human was blinded by her own rage at whatever happened to her in her life. But she hadn’t yet realized that it wouldn’t matter. . . because she was going to die. Maybe not now, maybe not in a few years, but eventually she was going to die and no one would ever know what had happened to her. Her problems would go away instantly. . . . There was no point in her dragging on her pain.
“Vampires are the same as you humans. They are capable of loving, hating, mourning. . . all of the emotions humans are capable of. You hate them because you do not know them. Perhaps your view on them would change if you were one of them, perhaps it wouldn’t. . . . But with the correct guidance—like any human child—vampires can turn out perfectly civil. My words may be falling on deaf ears, but you be wise to consider what I say. You assume that you are not able to have any sort of conversation with a vampire. . . . But I think that if you try, you will find differently.”
The topic was brought back to who she was and who she worked for—well mostly who she worked for—and Ali nodded her head. She had been born to an Aztec woman and a vampire nomad. That was how she was given her divine powers, bestowed upon her by her river goddess. Of course this was not something she could tell humans. . . . They were touchy about religion. “I do not believe that my employers would appreciate me disclosing their identities,” she replied matter-of-factly. Her words created no steam in front of her like the woman’s. . . her inner temperature was the same as her outer temperature.

ISI .{.EXECUTIONER.}. RUNASIMI → SCORCHING THE BLOOD IN MY TWISTED HEARTI’LL BE THE THORNS ON EVERY ROSE ← Misplaced anger? Don’t speak to me in misplaced anger, vampire!”
If Isi’s eyes had super powers it would now be great for a hidden human power to emerge. Though she was angry she felt that her anger wasn’t misplaced. How could her anger be misplaced? She was a lone human hunter in a world where if you stepped into the shadows and caught anyone’s eyes they could snuff you out. It was also Isi’s grave misfortune to be so astounding in looks that she caught anyone’s eyes. Isi was about to go on when the vampire spoke then that Isi would be all too easy to kill. She certainly did not have some crazy death wish. If she wanted to be a vampire then that too would be easy. She would just take a vampire that tried to take her, trap him, drain his blood or whatever and then mix it with hers. That would work, right? But of course Isi was sickened by the idea of vampire blood running in her. “I assure you, I have no death wish nor any secret hidden desire to commit the ultimate sin.” The ultimate sin was of course being a cursed immortal. Perhaps they would approve of having a nice conversation with me.” Isi laughed. It wasn't in her best interest to have a chat with powerful vampires. Her smile meant that she would do anything but talk with them. Though the vampire probably would not know the reason for her smiling but could guess. She would just need to see what they looked like. She could have a sketch and take it to the finest hotels where vampires usually stayed. There was always some bellboy who though tipped well always thought he deserved more and would spill something as innocent as a name or other information for some green cash. From there it was only a matter of a bit of investigation and then voila, slaying a vampire while they slept. Goodbye vampire.” Isi said. She was tempted to throw in ‘may we never meet again’ but she wasn’t stupid. She wasn’t armed and the vampire was. She would die if she threatened the girl. Isi wanted to get some new weapons, working weapons instead of expensive illegal weapons. She wanted to return and hunt down all the escaped vampires. It was time for them to die. No matter how interesting it was to chat with this vampire it was time for Isi to leave. Would the vampire follow her to the illegal weapons sellers or just leave?
