Isi looked around the area. She was in unchartered grounds. Each hunter had their own favorite hunting grounds and she was on uncharted territory. Sure she had walked the rounds here in the daytime by shopping, drinking, and visiting restaurants but she had never hunted here. Her preferred hunting ground was anything from an abandoned building to abandoned warehouses and anything condemned! It was like a breeding ground for the undead. Vampires were Isi’s preferred target: They didn’t like daylight; silver bullets destroyed them, cocky and stupid. Oh the many reasons! Werewolves were harder to take down and a single touch from them was like meeting a rabid zombie.
The young female hunters vibrant red hair was chopped and cut in many layers. In turn her hair was straightened until it lay flat with help from coco butter. In with the latest style she had a little loop of hair above her right eye. It was very stylish. But despite her gothic hair cut she had no piercings on her face. Her makeup made her look very pale as if she were true undead. She probably shouldn’t have bought the makeup at a gothic store but from a nice department store. But it was nice to blend in. Her lipstick was jet blue; it was a brand new shade. And Isi liked it very, very much. Her top was vertical stripes consisting of the colors dark purple and black. She was wearing jet black leggings and above the pants was a loose black skirt. All in all she looked very attractive.
Her hands were gloved from the tip of her fingernails to the edge of her elbow. She didn’t have the regular gothic gloves that revealed fingers, her gloves covered all, much like elegant opera gloves. Isi was a stickler for fingerprints. She would be damned before she allowed herself to leave behind fingerprints. It was a rare occasion to see the woman without something covering her hands. She acted as if she had a disfigurement – Which she did not. The black boots were studded with silver buckles and came up just below the kneecap. The boots not only added three and a half inches in height, were also quite comfortable and seemed to be made for climbing. With the smallness of the toe it could fit into anything like a wired fence allowing for easy hop-a-bility.
There was a very long black leather jacket which Isi was wearing. It covered her hourglass shape which the purple and black shirt ever so joyously made clear. It was tied not with its buttons but with the black sash. There were two gun holsters strapped to her thighs. There was one small gun meant as but emergency backup nestled safely into one of her boots. In her other boot there was a very large knife. In the small of her back was a very large shotgun. Inside her underwear was a small lock picking kit and standard issue handcuff keys. All her weapons were obstructed from view by the long leather jacket. Inside a pocket which had no hole was five thousand dollars just in case. Isi never had to bribe anyone before but she knew it could be done.
“I want your revenge. […] Caught in a bad romance. […] Fashion baby, work it, bitch a crazy.” The song Bad Romance by Lady Gaga was stuck in Isi’s head and so she sung it softly, very softly. If you weren’t right under her nose you wouldn’t have been able to hear her. She was walking down the street humming some and slightly singing the other. Hunting vampires right off the street wasn’t her location, but she was indeed walking to it. That was until she heard a chilling scream in the night air. Rape, Mugging, Werewolf, Vampire? There were only two options non-supernatural or supernatural.
Isi sighed. It wasn’t a full moon so the odds were good that it wasn’t a werewolf or werecreature. It could still be a vampire or a raping/mugging human. If it was the first, Isi would deal with it. If it was the last, Isi would ignore it. Or maybe, if she felt damned enough, she would shoot the mugger/source of scream point blank just for the hell of it. Instead of her slow brisked walk she moved to a fast pace jog and then a full blown run. The scream was full blown. It was sort of like GPS.
As Isi moved down the street she noticed that the lamp posts down the lane were all burnt out. That happened in some areas when no one wanted light. Every time the city fixed it, someone broke it once more. It was called, “thieves light”. It was perfect for criminals and people who just wanted to be. But mostly criminals. Who else would prefer pitch black? Any unarmed idiot should know better than to walk into an un-lite area. The voice died down but Isi could still see two figures in the darkened light by the light of the sliver of moon. One figure was tossed on the ground; Isi heard a “snap” sound. It sounded like the bones were being broken on the most feminine shape. It was either the spine bone or the neck. If Isi was taking up bets, she would have gone two hundred down on the neck.
To the best of her eyesight she thought the figure looked at her. And then the figure began to run. Isi ran, she passed the body and large trace amounts of black liquid which seemed to be splattered on the sidewalk. It was blood of course. She knew without touching the body that the girl was dead. She began to chase the known vampire, step after step. She pulled out a gun through a hole in her pocket, the gun strapped to her right thigh. She lost a bit of speed for but a few seconds but at least was now armed.
The vampire was probably very new in the game to be killing humans and leaving them in plain sight, not to mention fleeing at the scene. He was fast but Isi was on his trail. She could shoot while running but the neighbors would hear. No one would be stupid enough to turn on a light but they could all peer through their windows and see for themselves. Isi wasn’t out of breath as the chase began, a little sort of cat and mouse game, she ran ten miles a day to keep fit. She was the cat even though earlier the vampire was, but now it was just a mouse up against an experienced hunter.
Panic had set in on the vampire for instead of thinking to attack Isi, it had just run off. In a new part of town Isi was led to an area of most “interesting qualities”. “Interesting,” she muttered. She had never scouted this place before. It was new and new meant fun. Isi wasn’t disturbed in the least that she didn’t know the layout or the buildings. As the vampire headed for the large closed door Isi let out two shots. The first shot dinged the door only because the vampire moved half an inch; the second shot hit the vampires head instantly. The creature peeled over, fell on his legs and dropped dead.
Isi didn’t need to waste another bullet to know that it was dead. She kicked the body once so that the force from her leg actually twisted the figure from backside up to frontside up. Isi proceeded to open the panel doors not knowing what she should expect. Despite the old age of the doors the metal slid easily allowing Isi to behold a very large sight before her eyes.

Tonight was going to be like no other. For the past few days the Janitor had been scouting the neighborhood. A lot of activity within the supernatural population. Latest group of vampires to set up shop were doing a lot of movement. They tried to scatter it out. Do small runs every now and then. Blend in with the traffic as they came and went. If it hadn't been for a single mistake on part of their laziness their location wouldn't have been compromised. Their only mistake was leaving him alive.
Roughly two days ago they abducted two young women outside a local nightclub. He happened to have been leaving the club at the same time and lucky enough to witness the event. During the scuffle he managed to slip up to the back and plant a transmitter programmed to emit an encrypted signal to his GPS system back at the shop. One of them spotted him and shouted as he slipped into an alley. Only they did not pursue. Since they did not search the vehicle and took a long route back to their hideout it gave him plenty of time to make it to his vehicle then track them.
Once he geared up and left the shop he managed to follow their trail to this part of town. A mass of abandoned apartment buildings, factories, warehouses, and stores. Not to mention all the maintenance tunnels and sewers. A labyrinth in it's self. Parking the Land Cruiser in an alley way he killed the engine, pulled an energy drink out the back and waited. It wasn't long before the sun would rise. Then he could get a better feel for the area. An older abandoned vehicle wouldn't draw too much attention. He had spotted a few while entering the area. Especially one that looked like a piece of shit. His matched that description. The sun rose and he left with all he needed before it fell. That was the very first stage of the attack.
The layout of all the buildings they used and their blue prints was fresh in his mind. The few best places for infiltration and ex-filtration as well. He had a rough estimation of their number. Fifty. Maybe more. Majority of them were male. All armed, but about fifteen dedicated security. It was a small group, but he didn't under estimate them. No heavy weapons as far as he could tell. The hotbed of activity centered around an abandoned hotel in the north-east section. A good running distance from where it bordered a wealthy suburban neighborhood that was the buffer zone between it and the park. He narrowed down the best avenue of approach to a single maintenance tunnel that passed under a nearby warehouse and connected to the hotel basement. Luckily the gas lines had been cut off years ago. He didn't like the idea of a single bullet smoking him out.
His equipment load out was a bit heavier than usual for scouting. Only this walk about would be taking him into the belly of the beast. He was dressed entirely in a special camouflage pattern he developed. Nothing but dark and light grays with a two light shades of blue. No black. Black stood out too much for him. Especially if there was any light. Only his boots were black, only because he couldn't find any in gray. Four shotshell pouches were attacked to his assault vest. Each one held eighteen shells. One carried #4 buckshot. One carried one ounce slugs. Two carried heavy 000-buckshot. Five pistol magazine pouches were added to the load out. Three on his vest and two on his belt. All opposite side of his pistol. That gave him a total of one hundred and forty-seven rounds of ammunition on his person. More than enough if he ran into trouble.
On his right hip was a heavy double stack 10mm M1911 pistol. Right behind it was a short slim bowie knife. On his left hip was a ultra bright flashlight for off hand use with the pistol. Right above it hanging under his arm was a Emerson CQC-T tomahawk. Stashed in his right boot and tucked under his belt was a 3 3/4" push knife. A larger push knife was attached to his vest riding above his left collar bone. When you were going alone one could not have enough blades. Especially when silence was required and capture a possibility. A small canister of home brewed chemical irritant was at his back. Bear repellent was like a soothing mist compared to what he could cook up. He had gotten a dose of it by accident and it wasn't something he wanted a taste of again. He had a pocket full of flexi-cuffs in case he had to round up any humans.
To top it all off he had his primary weapon. A full sized Mossberg 590 shotgun loaded with all but one shell buckshot. The fourth shell down was only a one ounce slug. Reasoning behind it was the possibility of taking a long shot or busting through cover. Another light rode on the fore-end with a pressure switch within easy reach. A miniature spot light signaling death to any it lit up before he lit them up. Nine shots before he had to transition to pistol or stuff more shells into the magazine tube. He kind of wished he had brought a bayonet along, but decided it wasn't worth the weight. If it came down to close quarters with little ammunition left he could sling the thing then bring out the tomahawk. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that, but one had to be prepared for such things. Just in case.
Slipping out of the tunnel he scanned the basement. No sign of anyone patrolling. It was rather cool in the basement. He felt a draft coming down the stairs at the left from the floor above him. The blue prints put him right below the storage area. The loading bay was right outside. The food and linen had been removed a long time ago. The cargo elevator was a dead give away. He moved over to the wall and moved toward them. Fortunately no one was coming down the stairs. He crept up them to the first floor. Easing the door open a blast of cold air hit his face. His eyes quickly adjusted to the low light as he entered the room. A large number of white coolers were stacked here and there. Taking the hallway to the left he made his way toward the exit.
He could hear low music and voices. All of them male. A laugh here and there. Peeking around the corner he spotted four people sitting at a small table playing cards. A pile of cash was at the middle with three pistols and a machine pistol sitting in front of it. Didn't take him a second to identify the weapons. Three full sized Glock pistols and one Mac-10. No doubt the four were vampires. Stacked against wall beside the door were more white coolers. Against the other walls were pallets of cash. Jackpot, he thought. His mouth almost watered at the sight of all that green. Then everyone heard all the gunshots. He almost jumped out of his skin. The vampires froze for a moment then snatched up their weapons. The doors at the end of the room opened right as they started to move.
One of them scrambled for the hallway where he was hiding. Clicking the safety off he stepped out right as the vampire rounded the corned. Thrusting the muzzle against it's skull he pulled the trigger. Showering the others in blood and gore. He cycled the action ejecting the spent shell and fired at the one closest to him. The shot severed it's arm at the elbow and the machine pistol hit the floor. He turned and fired at the vampire opposite the one who's arm he took. Everything was moving so fast he didn't know if he hit it or not, but he fired a third time. Before swinging back to the fourth.
Knifes: One bowie and three push knifes. Firearms: One pistol and shotgun. Other: Flashlight, home made mace, tomahawk, and pocket full of flexi-cuffs.

With a heave of the doors which slid as easily as if they had been greased up with a can of WD-40 Isi entered the warehouse. Just in case any normal people decided to stop by, which she doubted would happen, she shut the door behind her. She left the dead body in plain sight. What would disturb people more: A dead body or an open door? Once the morning sun came up it would dispose of the body leaving behind the bullets and the bodies ashes. Leaving bullets behind were nothing of real importance. The bullets were usually damaged in some way and it wasn’t as if they contained fingerprints.
Isi saw no one as she entered the large building. But that did not necessarily mean no one was here. Who would park themselves right by the door? When Isi used abandoned buildings for her nefarious purposes, when she needed to torture someone for information, she set up her shop in the middle of the room. That way she would have access to several escape routes at the same time. Her gun was held tight in her hand as she moved forwards through the dingy building. There had to be a purpose why the young vampire had run to this building in particular. The dead always visited where they first died and then their master. There had to be more vampires here.
Before Isi got to worry about anyone hearing her own gunshots she heard several. It wasn’t pull trigger, pull trigger like she had done. But it was fire, fire, fire, fire. What was going on? She moved closer towards the sounds. She would shoot anything she saw. But what was going on? Typical vampires! – They always turned on each other. They were animals. Animals! Isi saw movement her way, a lone vampire heading in her direction. She wasn’t picked up yet. The figure could be human to be fair, but too bad, it would die all like the others. It wasn’t as if she could go up and ask, ‘are you vampire or human’? With a single shot Isi hit the vampire. The sound of her gunfire echoed into the room and it was just now that Isi realized that she had forgotten her silencer. She could make something really quick but let them know she is coming!

The third vampire went down without a fight. It's heart blow out entirely by the shotgun. Moving quicky he crossed the room snatching up the machine pistol and following the bloody trail of the fourth vampire. He wouldn't get far without that arm, he thought kicking the severed limb out of his way. Quickly he hurried down the hallway to spot the vampire slip into the shadows. Suddenly gunshots were heard. He slammed up against the wall just in time to watch the dry wall desintegrate where he had been standing earlier. Fucker, he thought. Wondering how they had turned and decided to fight as wounded as they had been.
"You want to play fucking games huh? Well eat this!" he shouted. Stepping out a bit to cut the corner ahead he fired the machine pistol. The loud BRAAAP! and jingle of spent cartridges hitting the ground drowned everything else out. He dropped the empty weapon bring the shotgun up. Didn't matter if he hit anything or not. All he wanted was a response. Something to let him know if they wanted to hang around or clear out. He didn't care about the element of surprise anymore. He was going to kill them all any way things out. Then level the entire building along with their little blood bank business. That's what he figured it to be with the coolers and kidnappings. Didn't matter though. It was all going up in smoke along with whatever else they had going on within the walls.

ISI .{.EXECUTIONER.}. Runasimi → SCORCHING THE BLOOD IN MY TWISTED HEARTI’LL BE THE THORNS ON EVERY ROSE ← Isi slid her body against the wall. She was pressing up against it so tightly that she could imagine herself just blending in or disappearing. If only! She moved on the other side of the wall, the body of the dead vampire was down on the ground. What was going on exactly aside from one hunter taking down two of them in less than five minutes? This was certainly a good day. Not a record, of course, but a good day. Why would a vampire turn weapons on each other? Unless of course it wasn’t a vampire. Isi’s mind thought for a second SWAT, meth lab, but thought the situation unlikely – Unless, unless Isi had already missed the usual, “SWAT don’t move. Don’t fucking move” speech.
Hmm.” And then Isi heard: "You want to play fucking games huh? Well eat this!" Something was going wrong and Isi was in the middle of this. A smarter person would turn around. They would walk out the door they came from, cover their head and face and flee, pretend they had never been there – Ever. Bullet after bullet after bullet was fired repeatedly. Isi had to admit that her guns were feeling a little small this moment to have that much firepower. She did not return the fire nor did she speak. It would give the other gun holder more courage to know that he was up against a woman. Isi wouldn’t allow that to happen even if she was a damned crazy woman! Was Isi about to meet someone much crazier than her?
She ducked down another hallway. With her boots and gracefulness she didn’t make sound that anyone except a supernatural might be able to pick up. But the place was already so old that it made so many sounds, especially at night. Every warehouse was much like another. There was the delivery area, loading dock, etc… Etc… Isi figured she was in the loading area, creeping by and by the old empty crates, boxes and the sort of jugs one might put toxic matter in. Gun at the ready she looked for any sights of moment. She needed to sneak up on the one with that high powered weapon and take him or her out! Creatures with weapons were first priority!

The element of surprise was long gone. All that mattered now was killing every living or non-living thing inside the building. Then leveling it. One more coven wiped out and a major source of income sent up in smoke. That was the only way to cause a serious dent in their population. Killing one or two a night was just a drop in the bucket. More would spawn from the darkness of the city's underworld. He had to take away their resources. Make the area too unsuitable to sustain their numbers. Force them to turn against each other to compete for the area. Let the war along with his actions tear through their numbers. Burn the tree all the way down to the root and dig it up.
The were-creatures would be next. With the danger level rising and number of creatures falling the hunters would drop off the radar. He'd kill them as well. Since they only got in the way of his plans, competed with his business, and over all were a pain in the hind quarters. Odds of any joining forces with him were slim to none. They were reckless loners. Unable to understand war and counter insurgency. More likely to cause harm than any good. If he could recruit a few good ones then he could double the effect of his actions within the city. Unfortunately there were no good ones.
Slowly he moved down the hallway. Shotgun at the ready. Eyes and ears tuned for any sign of movement. Ready to respond to any with a quick hail of copper coated lead. Visibility was limited due to the already low light. He heard the floor creak to the hallway off to the side. Firing off a quick shot he darted past running for the door ahead. Kicking it open he moved into a large room. Possibly the lobby of the old building. Several doors were off at the otherside of the room. Two large stair ways at his right wound up to the next floor. A set of double doors lied between the stairs. No telling where either went. He could hear whispers and foot steps coming down the stairs. Along with the all too obvious click of a round being chambered into a weapon.
Abandoned hotel, he thought, that's what I've stumbled into. Pretty much a night mare with all the places one could travel and hide. A blessing as well. With the twists and turns one could easily be ambushed. He could slow down large numbers of the vampires while having plenty of places to slip away while they tried to recover and come after him. Quickly he rushed through the two double doors. As he moved down the hall way the carpet and wallpaper began turning to dusty colored tile. It also got darker. Almost to where he could barely see a foot in front of him. Hitting the light he carried it lit up the hall way like the sun. Nothing ahead. A sign to the left on the wall red "Pool and Spa". "Oh goody..." he muttered.
