"Ahh..."
Coffee was always my remedy to soothing my heart... my brain... my soul. My life has returned to normal. Or as close as normal gets. Everyone around me looks so enveloped in a schedule; a life. Me? I feel as if I had a cold, gray air of gloom around me. I swear I can see people purposefully spacing off around me. I could live with myself that way, but others? Not so fun.
I practically live off of everyone's lack of leisure time. Although since I don't have many connections or anything at all besides money, my leisure time is consumed by sleep and the catching of glimpses of other people's lives-
"HEY. YOU."
I broke out of my daze and faced my head toward the sound that ruined my little tiny moment of relaxation. Ugh.
"Oh, so you CAN hear me..."
The rough voice that was apparently directed to me was obviously threatening, but I naturally noticed my favorite emotion I loved finding in other people. Fear. Why? I think it's the person standing behind him that gives me this weird feeling. I don't feel like talking today. I feel like sipping my deliciously sweet mocha endlessly.
But I don't think that's going to happen.
The man who was yelling at me stepped aside for the person behind him. I think that person is looking me. Hope he's mistaking me for another person.

The casino was dangerous. There was always the unknown factor. Isi had entered in with forty-thousand dollars in cash in a small briefcase. She had deposited the thirty-thousand dollars in her hotel room safe while turning a luxurious amount of ten thousand into chips. She was immediately recognized as a high roll type player. When she was on a winning streak she was offered complimentary alcohol drinks. She accepted a gin and coke but had only pretended to take a sip. When you gambled you shouldn’t drink. Only the fools drank. The professionals pretended to drink or turned the alcohol down.
The pit boss then began to see if Isi wanted to register to receive bonuses. She politely but firmly turned him down. She knew that it wasn’t wise to register with casinos. She preferred a certain level of being anonymous. After winning another five thousand dollars Isi felt like she was done. She converted her ten grand into cash and then did the same for her winnings. She pocketed the money before grabbing a cup of coffee. It was then that she saw the argument between the presumably couple. It was none of Isi’s business.
